A small gem close to harbour and multitude of restaurants.

Throughout our stay he was attentive and ensured we knew the best beaches and restaurants to go to.

Another day we walked to Aetos beach on the west coast which is only accessible by foot or by boat - again we didn't see another person and had the beach to ourselves!

Our room had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the harbour and was cool, clean and modern.

It's close to everything, the main square, the market, the harbour, the restaurants bars and cafes, the casino.

We had a large balcony where we enjoyed watching the harbour with a traditional glass of Syros wine and the delicious cheese of San Mihalis.

George and his family were very welcoming and gave us an initial introduction to the islands sites, beaches , restaurants etc and  were always accommodating throughout.

The room was extremely comfortable, quiet and had a lovely view over the harbour from one of its two balconies.

We stayed 4 nights which was enough time to explore the town thoroughly and take the bus to various beaches and towns.

Although a short walk from the centre and the harbour (5 mins), this is no problem, except carrying cases up at the start of your stay.

The hotel is centrally located close to the habour and with an ocean view.

and about 25 minutes drive to good beach villages such as Kini.

The owner, George, was extremely helpful, ready to give indications on which beaches to go to and what were the main sights to see in the city and on the island.

Room was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, AC, fridge, wifi and above all very nice view over town, church and harbour from balcony and window.

Water pressure in bathroom shower and water temperature ok. 
You should opt for a room on the upper floors because only these will give you the breathtaking views over the city's harbour, waterfront and city.

The rooms were very clean and spacious, had air conditioning that worked perfectly, a fridge and had a small balcony with a nice view out over the harbour.

Listen to him - the restaurants just back from the waterfront are better value for money.

On the downside: Only one bedside table and reading light only on this night table.

The bathroom has really dim lighting and gets wet quite easily with a strange curtain round the shower.

The rooms were spotless and we loved our balcony view of the sea and port.

Located in the historical centre of Ermopoulis, only a few meters from the port, it is quiet and peaceful.

Close to the port, shops and restaurants and at the same time is in quiet district which is great for a bit noisy city center.

It was just a short walk from the port on a quiet street up a few stairs.

The hotel is well situated and easy to find just a 5 min walk from the ferry port.

Communication prior to arrival was excellent and directions to the hotel from the port were very clear.

We stayed in the nicest room (a suite) with a splendid view over Ermoupolis port and Ano Syros.

The Guesthouse is situated in the centre of Hermoupolis very close to the port and all cafes and restaurants.Room was nicely decorated,clean with a nice view of the town from the balcony.Owners were very friendly and make us feel welcomed.

It is right in the middle of town between the port where the boat arrives and the town centre.

He also gave us his recommendations for the best seafood restaurants in Ermoupolis.

They recommended beautiful spots and Restaurants on the island just when we arrived and really invested time - not the usual welcome tourist bla bla.

George never let me want for anything, taxis, doctors, restaurants, advice any kind.

Itʼs a 5-minute walk to the seaside restaurants via a lot of  steps.

We went to all the sights and restaurants he recommended and were not disappointed!

We were warmly greeted by George the owner with a welcome drink and given some useful information about the island and some recommended places to visit and to eat.

He was a great host, gave us lots of great tips and restaurant suggestions.

Reasonable prices too for its quality.Its location is easy to get on foot and very close to the market and restaurants of Hermoupolis.

Our host George was a gem, giving us fantastic tips on things to do, places to eat and where to find traditional music.

Thanks to George we ate in good restaurants.

George, the owner, offered us local delicacies and wine, helped us with great suggestions on local restaurants and bistros.

We booked via hotel site and after a short 5 minute walk from the ferry, we were met by George and his family who generously shared some local recommendations along with lovely local wine and grilled sardines before we even checked in.

Our three bed room was neat and spacious and opened to a pleasant courtyard with plenty of flowers.

Loved our 3 night  stay at Ethrion  very clean rooms with lovely white sheets and towels and room cleaned every day great.

The rooms were very tidy at all times and the location of the hotel is great.

The harbour seemingly does not shut down and it does happen that big ferry ships move in and out in the wee hours of the morning.

Because of the terrible storm and the ferry system shut down we were a day late arriving.

Beach towels are available to borrow from reception.

There is also a shop next door for handy items (unsure if this is classed as on site), right in front of the beach.

This beach is fun with lots to explore and a few little cafes.

but perfectly formed resort on the west coast of Syros and Hotel Benois sits just slightly off the road through the town - opposite the beach.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice little pool, one of the best breakfasts we've had in Greece and just a minute's walk to the beach.

Galissas beach – so peaceful and beautiful – is literally across the road.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location 50metres from a really lovely beach.

Good facilities, handy for the beach and for getting around the island.

The ideal island hotel for me  has a pool, good food in a nice setting and is beside the beach.

If you decided you would rather go to to the beach, it was right across the street.

Location: Just across the road (not busy) from the (good) beach, which has numerous umbrellas.

The hotel is 2 minute walk to the best beach on the island.

The pool is great and the beach in front of the hotel is large and good for families with small children: hot water and clean water.

Aside from Benois, the beach opposite is one of the best - spacious with loads of sun beds and a beautiful warm sea to dip into.

First Impressions
Located in a very peaceful bay of Galissis on the west of the island and only 250m from the beach, this modern family run hotel is a little gem.

The location is perfect, opposite the beach, lots of parking and right next to the restaurants/bars.

Fantastic bus service that will take you around the island for €1.30 each way - we went into Hermoupolis and spent the day at Vari Beach using this service.

I have visited Syros and Galissan beach in particular for many decades.

We had to check out a day earlier as our flights changed. Not for one minute did we expect it or ask for it (our problem, not theirs!)

On arrival we were expected to carry our suitcases up 2 flights of stairs!!!!

Went for a (below average) breakfast, asked for a frappe coffee instead of the machine ones (that one can have 365/7 anywhere on the world).

Our room was very clean and spacious with a balcony.

Decent sized spotlessly clean room, with good storage and a small sea-view terrace.

Breakfast and snacks were plentiful and our room was spotless and cleaned everyday.

Good breakfast options (included in the hotel rate) nice pool, lovely big room which was very clean and fresh, close to the beach and a selection of restaurants and small shops.

The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean and so are the rooms!

Cleanliness- rooms were immaculate with fresh towels provided daily and very comfortable beds.

It was a nice surprise for me and my friends how clean and tidy everything around and in the rooms was.

The breakfast was rich and of a great quality, room was clean and the bathroom had a great shower cabin.

The hotel itself was more like a boutique hotel in it's style everything was spotless the rooms are well looked after sheets changed every two days as are the towels.

The rooms are clean and comfortable - those with view to the pool particularly recommended.

The bus route around the south of syros is handy and well worth using.

Convenient once you manage to hop into one though

We were only in Syros for 3 nights and it eased us into our Cyclades Greek tour perfectly!

There's also 2 coach routes that run around the island that are inexpensive and they pull up right outside the Benois.

but there was a good choice of bars and restaurants, including on the beach, to choose from, plus minimarkets and a pharmacy.

The pool is lovely and relaxing and there are plenty of sun beds with umbrellas, the young girl at the pool bar is lovely and very friendly.. We used the local restaurants and found the food to be good value, there is also and small local supermarket up the road.

There are several restaurants and bars nearby, plus a few shops.

At 6pm the bar in thec hotel opens, until midnight.

The pool bar provides delicious snacks and beverages and we were very pleased with the quality of the food at the hotel restaurant.

Extra choices: The Green Dollar Bar at the feet of the Hotel and some extra dining choices at walking distance from the Hotel.

The staff at the bar were very friendly and helpful, and the prices for food and drinks were relatively reasonable.

Everything about the hotel works so well, restaurant, bars, pool area and a fabulous very clean sandy beach.

Breakfast is good and the pool with its bar and taverna equally good.

The location is very close to a sandy beach which is not deep, The resort has a nice swimming pool with a very good pool bar.

The pool had a water slide which is a big hit with kids.The hotel has a kids club which helps and in front of the hotel there is a bar that also has an unsupervised playground.

The pool is ok, with a nice bar next to it which serves food and drinks throughout the day.

Stayed on garden view ground floor apartment , surrounded by pretty gardens blocks at varying heights with views across to the beach (from those with balconies) bed and breakfast basis pretty good good selection of cold and hot food available  ( Greek style not full English ) staff always friendly and helpful , pool area great pool bar , steps down to beach .

We had a day out in the next bay round, called Kini, which is a worth a visit.

The resort is steps away from the beach and local restaurants.

Next door there is a clean and sandy beach, which has been awarded the blue flag label.

Beautiful little white Cycladic houses, green and flowers all around you, a sandy beach right in front of you.

Hotell lies beside Galissas beach, that is the most small kid friendly beach in the world (I Think).

Both balconies looked out over the beautiful beach and out to sea.

We stayed for 3 nights in and we had a great time, the staff are really friendly and very helpful, the rooms are lovely and the view over the pool and beach is beautiful!

Nice views , polite staff, good breakfast, sandy beach.

But the amazing staff, the beautiful rooms, our amazing sea view, the kids friendly pool and the best possible location, right on the beach, made it impossible to not truly enjoy our holiday!

Lovely hotel by Gallisas beach, built like a tiny village up the slope of a hill, featuring a nice view of the bay and  following strict Covid-19 protocols, the best I saw this far at Tinos & Syros .

Galissas beach is breathtaking just a few steps away from the resort.

The beach nearby (Galissas) is breathtaking and you can watch amazing sunsets.

The hotel is located, in my opinion, on the best beach of the island of Syros, Galisa beach.

Lovely pool area within seconds of the beautiful beach.

Ideally situated on the picturesque hills overlooking Galissas beach and sporting a large swimming pool with slides, it is highly recommended for families looking to relax by the sea or pool side.

I visited the hotel for a week with my family.Next to a shallow water beach,ideal for children.Nice pool,tasty meals,very clean, friendly staff.

from the piscine to the beach just a road cross, nice food especially the breakfast and if you request for a room with a view you will enjoy a lovely  sea view with a balcony that at the aftenoom has always a refresh air that makes you not able to leave it!

The hotel facilities, the room, the restaurants, and the pool with a fun slide are all in great shape.

The only available network is in the lobby, the restaurant etc,

Again the food here was lovely and huge portions - we learnt after the first day to order a few dishes to share are they were too big for one each.

For those on HB or FB, dinner was also served in the restaurant.

The food was a very good standard and we had no complaints at all.

We also went half board and the food was very fresh and home-made, Life-guard was lovely and very friendly with the kids and did her job very well.

We stayed on half-board and were totally satisfied with all food supplied.

Such a good decision, as it turned to be the best vacation we have had as a family (with 2 kids of 6 and respectively 10):
- very nice personnel
- nice view to the sea
- clean room & facilities (pool with water slider, restaurant, outdoor playground, bar), with special attention to observing covid rules.

I would stay again as the rooms where spotless and the staff mainly very pleasant.

The only issue was the smell of the sanitation which some times was really awfull.

The only alternative offered was dark, smelly room with no windows at the ground floor that was good only for storage not for people staying in it.

The room that gave us at first didn't satisfy us at all as there was a weird smell there propably from the sewage near the room.

It was loud at all hours, kids screaming day and night, in the dining hall, guests smoking is out of hand, the smoking section is inside where the buffet is so you get no mealtime peace as you're getting jostled and spilt on.

The room had a lot of dirt on the walls and under the bed, the bathroom had a disgusting odor from the sink, the cleaning ladies were knocking the door at nine in the morning cause they wanted to clean the room.

The only downside to the restaurant was the smoking arrangements.

our room was found dirty when we arrived it had a terrible smell of mustiness togather with cigarrettes and the walls were full of moisture.

Also, in the middle of the toddler pool was a drainage hole that our daughter fell down,

The restaurant could get a bit noisy and smoky at times, though.
