In addition, the rooms are very comfortable, nicely furnished and clean, they provide pleasant balconies, and they offer great views of the city.

Every evening we enjoyed watching the sun go down from our balcony, accompanied by excellent Greek wine, before heading out for dinner.

The rooms were spotless and we loved our balcony view of the sea and port.

One more benefit - wonderful  view from the room balcony to panorama of Hermopoulis city - and the most beautiful Church of Agios Nikolaos is just in a front as well as main square and Town Hall.

We visited this hotel for one night and we stayed on a deluxe room which had modern furnitures and balcony with city views which was very graphic.

The small balcony was the best and    had a great view of  the city - lovely to sit out in the evening and early morning.

The A/C worked flawlessly and the view from the balcony was just breathtaking - an excellent combination of sea, port, and city view.

You should opt for a room on the upper floors because only these will give you the breathtaking views over the city's harbour, waterfront and city.

The rooms are really clean and if you want to get a picturesque view of the city and the port/sea, make sure to get a room on the upper level!

Our ferry from Paros arrived after dark and we could not find the hotel.

It has one proper window (and one sealed shut at the back of the room) so it was very dark and VERY hot, mainly because there was no draft to be had as would have been the case had there been a second window.

He even rode on his scooter to the port to give us the phone charger my husband forgot in the room when we checked out!Talk about service!

But It's a bit tricky to find it at first by car from the ferry stop, as the hotel street is pedestrian, so you should call the manager once you're at the port and he's coming to get you in a less than 5 minutes.

Close to the port, shops and restaurants and at the same time is in quiet district which is great for a bit noisy city center.

This nice hotel is located near the port,in Ermoupolis!The rooms are very nice and comfortable offering a nice view of the port!

The hotel was very close to the port, bus station, and all the shops/restaurants.

Ethrion is very close to the port and to the old town, just perfect to start your daily wandering on the hills and down to the port.

The Guesthouse is situated in the centre of Hermoupolis very close to the port and all cafes and restaurants.Room was nicely decorated,clean with a nice view of the town from the balcony.Owners were very friendly and make us feel welcomed.

Our three bed room was neat and spacious and opened to a pleasant courtyard with plenty of flowers.

but the sheets stank.Also it was very expensive for room rate.The owner was very very helpful and the hotel close to port and the city centre.The only problem was the smell of sheets and the dust that you could find everywhere

That said, the buildings are old and I found the bathroom in my own room to always smell terribly of the toilet.

I cartainly didn't want to hang our baby's clothes out there so I asked (twice) for a bigger clothes hanger and was brought a HUGE plastic one which was dirty and moldy in places!

the 'owner' of the hotel greeted us half naked with a cigarette hanging from his mouth, any respectable person would not greet customers without a shirt.

The sandy beach is just across the road and is accessed by a wooden walkway.

There is a pool and the beach is just across the road.

It is spotless and if you feel like it the  excellent beach is accross the street.

In a nice, quiet area with a great pool and a quick walk across the road to the beach.

even though we are over the road from the beach we preferred to stay by the pool as it was very windy on the beach.

The pool is large and clean and a welcome option if you chose not to cross the street to go to the beach.

Only 20 minutes (Euro 1.40 on the frequent buses or Euro 10 in a cab) from the urban pleasures of Ermanopoulis, Galissas is peaceful little oasis, with several excellent tavernas literally around the corner from the Benois, and the lovely, serene beach is across the street.

Easy to park a car and bus stop right by the hotel entrance.

The bus stops right outside the hotel which takes you around the island and to Ermoupoli for less than 2 euro per person.

It is a half minute walk to the beach, and a one minute walk to the bus stop to downtown.

Local bus stops just outside the hotel and we used this to go into the port of an evening.

The bus stop is right outside and will take you to all the nearby beaches and main towns.

The bus stop is just next to the hotel, ask reception and they'll provide you with the information.

The bus stop in front of the hotel has a quick and direct connection to Hermoupolis.

Whilst Galissas is some 15/20 mins by road away from the capital Hermoupolis and roughly the same from the Island Airport, it is well worth renting a car for a few days or indeed hopping on the local bus which stops at the hotel front door that does the job for you.

The location of hotel right next to the beach,20 min from ermoupolis, there is a bus stop right outside of the hotel.

The bus stop with service to from Ermoupolis is in front of the hotel.The bus runs every hour.

So easy to get around the island, bus stops right outside hotel.

The hotel itself is situated next to a few restaurants and the bus stop is right outside to get you into the town.

Transfers to and from the ferry were done personally by the staff, and for getting around the island on the cheap there is a local bus stop directly outside the hotel with car and scooter rental just down the road.

All family holidaying basics are there: (corner shop 50meters, beach 200meters, 4 or 5 restaurants 50 meters, bus stop to Ermapoulis (30min).

First they don't made pre authorization on credit card before we came

Still I never did run out of charge for my many devices even if the choice was charging or TV/Fridge.

My second request was ingored again while the main concern of the reservation desk was about number of my credit card only. .

We arrived at the port to find the Hotel minibus waiting for us which was lovely.

They provide beach towels and a good taxi service to the port to catch the ferry.

The hotel operate a free shuttle service from the port in Syros and will collect you from the ferry depending upon times.

Breakfast, wi-fi and shuttle service from airport and port.

The hotel picks you up and drops you off at the port which is an added bonus.

They organise free shuttle from and to the port in Ermoupolis from 9 am- 10pm.

We were first impressed with the offer from hotel Benoit to pick us up at the port and transport us to the hotel.

Really friendly and helpful staff, and they offer pick up and transport to/from the hotel from the port in in Hermapoulis or airport.

The transfer service from the port was also a great bonus.

A complimentary shuttle collected us from the port in Syros and transported us to another time era.

Stayed here twice now and this is the Best hotel in syros, from the moment you arrive at the port for your free transfer to the hotel nothing is too much!

the hotel is about 10 to 15 min from port and down town,but worth it.

but kids are the hope so who are we to complain?

The unofficial excuse was that they are afraid of losing their job if one of the tenants would complain to the management.

When we complained, an irate middle age man who said he was the manager told us that "this is how we make it here".

We complained during 2 or 3 days until we were assigned a new room.

When we complained the response from the management was that they are really sorry

and on top of this when we complained to the owner during the check out he was laughing.

I complained as I new the Ferry was not leaving for another hour.

When we complained in the direction of the hotel, the answer was that we exaggerate.

The hotel lends itself to a relaxing and rewarding family holiday, where everybody finds something relaxing and/or interesting to do, and you come back with your batteries reloaded.

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday on the beautiful island of Syros.

Such a good decision, as it turned to be the best vacation we have had as a family (with 2 kids of 6 and respectively 10):
- very nice personnel
- nice view to the sea
- clean room & facilities (pool with water slider, restaurant, outdoor playground, bar), with special attention to observing covid rules.

But the amazing staff, the beautiful rooms, our amazing sea view, the kids friendly pool and the best possible location, right on the beach, made it impossible to not truly enjoy our holiday!

In conclusion, Dolphin Bay is ideal for family holidays,

My son loved the place , it is totally recommended for family holidays.

Loved spending our first holiday after the lockdown at this beautiful hotel.

We had a great holiday and I would recommend this hotel for a family holiday.

This is a perfect holiday resort if you want to be away from hectic life.

Overall this was an amazing holiday for us and we would certainly like to come back one day.

We wanted as a Family to visit Cyclades Islands for a Holiday and Dolphin Bay in Syros got our attention.

About the staff, very very nice and helpful, I didn't feel well on the second day of the vacation, the hotel's manager, drove me to see a doctor in the city, I don't believe there 
are allot of others who would do the same.

They were all excellent, in all areas, pool bar, reception, restaurant, bar, cleaning staff, everyone was extremely polite and made our vacation very enjoyable.

We spend on this summer at the dolphin bay hotel a pleasant and exciting family vacation.

The summer of 2018 was the third consecutive year when we spent our holiday at Dolphin Bay Family Beach Resort.

Kids loved the huge swiming pool, the food and the beach which is just in front of the hotel.

Your kids won’t make friends here if you’re English.

It offers a lot of amenities especially for families (kids pool, water slide, kids movies and free children entertainment on daily basis).

The hotel is really mainly for families, a lot of children, as well as the beach is really family friendly.

My kids especially loved the free ice-cream by the pool

The pool is very pleasant, a large pool, great for swimming in, with a small area to one side for a children's water slide.

We had a great stay at the rooms with breathtaking vista on the hill and nice pool with slide, perfect for small kids.

Staying there as a family with two kids was great.

Hotell lies beside Galissas beach, that is the most small kid friendly beach in the world (I Think).

The pool is lovely and relaxing and there are plenty of sun beds with umbrellas, the young girl at the pool bar is lovely and very friendly.. We used the local restaurants and found the food to be good value, there is also and small local supermarket up the road.

A lot of very young children and infants.

but there was also an outdoor playground, with a lady watching over the kids and engaging them in various fun activities.

When traveling with 2 young kids it’s not that easy to have great time!

This was our 4th year back to Dolphin Bay Family Beach with our two kids.

It’s geared towards families with children and meal times can be stressing occasionally

Kids loved the pool and the ping-pong table.

Amenities include entertainment for kids, free home cinema and snacks, and a decent tennis court.

Kids loved the slide, which was open for 3 hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon.

With COVID not being a valid reason anymore in the summer of 2023, it seems more about saving staffing costs.

.and when I say that they do not have WiFi, I don't mean that they do not have *free* WiFi and that you have to pay for it: I mean that they DO NOT HAVE WI-FI, period.

but just an observation, as I imagine it must be a cost to the hotel.

but very difficult to find sunbed.The worst part was that we were obliged to pay for sunbed in the sea of Gallissas even though the hotel owns these sunbeds.From my side this is unacceptable for the guests of the hotel.

Do not hesitate to pay a little bit more for rooms with sea view.

but the price is VERY good.Pool bar,extra bar,movies(for kids) and playground.The wifi is slow. .

(Tip:As with many hotel bars drinks are expensive).

but it was very expensive to eat there and the quality of food was nowhere near as good as we had experienced on Syros.

There are regular buses to Hermoupolis ( the capital of Syros and all the Cyclades) and if you are in hurry the taxi is not very expensive.

but for an additional fee per room, per day,  one could purchase full or half plan meals for the duration of the stay.

But you have to pay for an umbrella and chairs.

I had to pay for all the drinks and coffees even water every time that I went to the bar.

however thats the first time I had to pay for an umbrella!!!

And all that including room WiFi for the room price!!

Sun beds cost you 2 euro each and if you choose them between the trees, you don't need to pay another 3 euro for an umbrella.

The hotel in general was clean as well as our room.

I would stay again as the rooms where spotless and the staff mainly very pleasant.

The rooms are really clean and comfortable, with a fridge and good hairdryer, Air conditioning and we had a nice balcony with sea and pool views.

The rooms were always clean and most of them offer a wonderful view.
