Our ferry from Paros arrived after dark and we could not find the hotel.

It has one proper window (and one sealed shut at the back of the room) so it was very dark and VERY hot, mainly because there was no draft to be had as would have been the case had there been a second window.

He even rode on his scooter to the port to give us the phone charger my husband forgot in the room when we checked out!Talk about service!

But It's a bit tricky to find it at first by car from the ferry stop, as the hotel street is pedestrian, so you should call the manager once you're at the port and he's coming to get you in a less than 5 minutes.

The hotel and rooms are also  very clean.

Our room was clean, tidy and nicely furnished.

Loved our 3 night  stay at Ethrion  very clean rooms with lovely white sheets and towels and room cleaned every day great.

but the sheets stank.Also it was very expensive for room rate.The owner was very very helpful and the hotel close to port and the city centre.The only problem was the smell of sheets and the dust that you could find everywhere

That said, the buildings are old and I found the bathroom in my own room to always smell terribly of the toilet.

I cartainly didn't want to hang our baby's clothes out there so I asked (twice) for a bigger clothes hanger and was brought a HUGE plastic one which was dirty and moldy in places!

the 'owner' of the hotel greeted us half naked with a cigarette hanging from his mouth, any respectable person would not greet customers without a shirt.

First they don't made pre authorization on credit card before we came

Still I never did run out of charge for my many devices even if the choice was charging or TV/Fridge.

My second request was ingored again while the main concern of the reservation desk was about number of my credit card only. .

but kids are the hope so who are we to complain?

The unofficial excuse was that they are afraid of losing their job if one of the tenants would complain to the management.

When we complained, an irate middle age man who said he was the manager told us that "this is how we make it here".

We complained during 2 or 3 days until we were assigned a new room.

When we complained the response from the management was that they are really sorry

and on top of this when we complained to the owner during the check out he was laughing.

I complained as I new the Ferry was not leaving for another hour.

When we complained in the direction of the hotel, the answer was that we exaggerate.

The hotel in general was clean as well as our room.

Such a good decision, as it turned to be the best vacation we have had as a family (with 2 kids of 6 and respectively 10):
- very nice personnel
- nice view to the sea
- clean room & facilities (pool with water slider, restaurant, outdoor playground, bar), with special attention to observing covid rules.

I would stay again as the rooms where spotless and the staff mainly very pleasant.

Only negative was poor wifi to non existent wifi everywhere on grounds and none in your room .

The signal is really weak, so this makes t even more imperative that the hotel provides internet connection via WiFi.

The hotel should not advertise wifi as a service as this simpmy did not exist.

One thing noted by other guests too is the issue with the Wi-Fi.

The WiFi quality is really poor. Recommended.

The room is so disappointing, in fact the air conditioner worked only to a part of the room, Almost no WiFi, no kettle to make coffee, so uncomfortable and not inviting. "The water are not drinkable, they announced, there for we give you one (little) bottle of mineral water" ( even not cold -after such a long journey in a very hot day.  )

but the price is VERY good.Pool bar,extra bar,movies(for kids) and playground.The wifi is slow. .

The only minus was that it was impossible to connect with the internet.

Some annoyances that could be fixed by management – several times I had to wait a long time for the water to get hot for a shower, the internet access went off/on, and some of the staff were surly (some were quite helpful).

And all that including room WiFi for the room price!!

TV reception is not too good and WIFI was difficult to connect and when you manage to connect is really slow.

, the wifi was not working, the balcony was dangerously narrow and the rail was loose, we found very nice ironed hair on the sheets, the pillow and the bed cover had some brown dirt.

The room were dirty enough , the WI-FI didn't operated , the food were good looking

Let alone that the wi-fi was never working, even right at the reception.

We arrived mid May which was a bit early in the season so hotel not running at full speed

On my departure day I was running late to catch my only boat of the day to Mykonos and Christos, the owner, without hesitation suggested to drive me to the port on his bike!

Christos and Tonia are the nicest people ever, from our arrival not only there were extremely kind (upgrading our room, providing us with fruits, letting us stay a bit longer in the morning in the room the day of departure)

We traveled to Syros for the first time this summer and it was our first get away alone, without the baby.

Also, this B&B is ideal for non smokers and couples, since smoking is prohibited and small children are not allowed.

Superior Double Room with City View is so big with a romatic design,the room is clean and quiet,the wash room is big.And the keeper is so warmly to ntroduct the best place,restaurant and any other things in Syros.

There is no lift and has steep stairs which might not be suitable for people with mobility problems.

The drinks and small plates were greatly appreciated on this quite hot day.

If we had one complaint and that was our balcony was too hot to sit out late afternoon,

The only difficulty we had was with the temperature of the water in the shower , it was hot even in the "cold" position.

No good maintenance of the rooms’ equipment.

Overpriced and not very high maintenance, a waste of my money.

We borrowed beach towels and walked down to the quay every morning and were greeted by local ladies who swim every day.

We couldn't enjoy it because there wasn't a place to drink our tea.

Coffee or tea through the day wasn't available so we used to go to the little bar as you go down to the small esplanade across from the hotel.

but all in all quite good except for the fact that if you want an espresso or cappuccino they charge you extra.

but you could make boiled eggs & there was juice, yoghurt & honey, tinned peaches, cheese, bread & coffee.

Especially the person in charge of breakfast really needs to rethink his behavior not only towards guests

The owner told them that there was not enough omelette for all the guests and very rudely refused them access.

We booked it last minute and there was only a few guests

Also after my 3 days in the checkout they charged me for 1,5 euro per day for the parking of my motorbike, that’s sure a joke !!

Apparently they did'nt check the risk of this action.

What I liked most was that we had to  do late check out because of the weather and the owner was so kind and condescending of our problem and she left us tha room until the hour of our departure, sth that didnt left us exposed in the rainy scenery of the island.

The last day we had an early check out, and the night before we found in our fridge a bag with a breakfast to take away.

The room was quiet and comfortable, except for the open shower without doors which was a bit messy and awkward.

The electricity stoped in the city and we were trapped in the elevator between two floors and we could'nt use the emergency telephon because it was in a box closed whit a key.We spent aprox 20 minutes in the stoped elevator and in the end we were rescued by the staff passing through the door.

Just 15 steps down to the sea from the front door of the hotel.
