Our family recently stayed here, and on arrival my 86 year old Mother-In-Law lost her footing and collapsed on the car park floor.

Good points-good lightening, sockets by bed, efficient air con, beautiful shower (easier than a bath), detachable shower head, nice view from window, easy car park.

The atmosphere inside the hotel was lovely, the staff could not do enough for you and the car park was large enough to accommodate all guests.

WiFi signal very poor in room 118 and phone signal not great.

I booked this premier because it had an on-site restaurant, when we arrived we were told they didn’t have a chef and couldn’t provide a cooked breakfast or evening meal.we tried the continental breakfast which was very poor and a lack of choice .

Clearly not a new issue as the sign telling me of the closure looked battered, so the fact I received no communication from Premier Inn forewarning me was poor form.

The problem was that the continental breakfast was very poor with very little choice, no meats or cheeses for example.

Some poor aspects with breakfast service there was a lack of clean cutlery twice which doesn’t sound a major issue just meant we had to find staff, who were busy and we had to move around the restaurant.

Breakfast on 2 of the 3 occasions was of poor quality, over cooked and missing elements, it is all you can eat,

Very poor WiFI in the hotel and don’t waste you money on the Ultimate connection.

One "manager" made me use the staff toilets to do my injection one night which I thought was pretty poor,

Evening food was airline style and very basic and poor quality, which it shouldn't have been - Premier Inns are capable of a lot better!

Internet poor - didnt want to pay for super service so just went on line when out.

While you wait starter of flat bread which was awful and we refused to pay for such poor food.

My only complaint is the shower which was over a bath (due to the disabled room) - it had poor pressure and the taps on the bath needed to be tightened as they were a bit loose.

Arrived at Wadebridge couldn’t find a parking space as it was full of vans , finally got parked in a disabled bay, walked in to check in staff see us waiting at the desk

I asked why they did not have a system that allowed a room to be prepared when someone was waiting.

When entering the hotel no one was at front desk so we had to wait after pushing the buzzer for 10-15 mins.

We were told we HAD to wait until 16.00 so one assumes the room wasn’t ready

but come on, didnt take order for 30 minutes, then waited 20 minutes for the porridge after asking where it is,  to be told "it's a nightmare at breakfast this morning".

No breakfast buffet for hot food - had to order and wait.

but the wait to be served a little long as staff manage check in, getting drinks and taking orders aswell as any other customer queries!

The only down side was the booking for the restaurant, the only times they had iavailable on both nights were 8.30, so the second night we had to get a takeaway as  I was feeling unwell and couldn't wait another 3+ hrs, again the staff were helpful giving us take away menu and even offered us plates and cutlery to take to our room.

although small and open to the reception..service is a little slowwww half hour wait once seated, staff don't seem to recognised when customers need attention.

Not a very big dining area, so expect a wait for breakfast at busy times, and we were turned away for an evening meal,

Upon arrival at the hotel at 10:45PM, we waited several minutes before the receptionist/clerk appeared to assist us with check in.

but I think others may have had to wait for an evening meal.

Only a small restaurant - had to wait for a table.

Each day the the key card machine would ‘wipe out’ all the key numbers so each time we returned we had to wait at reception to get them to reset our key.

Next morning we came down to every one complaining how long they were waiting for there breakfasts.

Oh and I'm writing this while while I've been waiting for food for an hour I'm only eating here due to work paying for the meal deal 🙈, on a plus note the breakfast is exellent

In between each course we were waiting a minimum of 40 minutes.

Dont eat food here still waiting after 1 hour 20 mins.

The car park is limited at the pub and parking there is not for the faint hearted or nervous drivers.

We arrived late due to car issues and recieved very thoughtful messages from the Port William team.

Car park was pretty terrible for large cars.

Managed to get a space in their car park rather than the pay and display down the road, so that was a bonus.

Not only can vehicular access be challenging on busy days, parking, despite two public car parks, can be exceeeded, so the long narrow lane down to the sea front can become clogged with parked cars.

but as the alternative was looking like sleeping in the car we rolled with it.

although the car park isn’t the easiest especially with a big car, we found it easier to reverse up the steep hill and reverse back down!

A word of caution; you will have to park on the public car park below the Port William.

And then all of a sudden the sun was out, there were people , car parks and the sea.

In the past car parking was available outside on a small cliff road

but a big note to anyone visiting, the car park charges are a little strangely worded, and if you are going past 18:30 then it is £1 until the following morning, but if you pay at 18:29 then it will run out in the allotted time and you will get a ticket.

Spent a lovely evening with excellent food here in the restaurant, arrived during stormy weather and a cursory glance at the parking notice seemed to indicate that payment for parking applies until 18:00 Unfortunately we arrived back at our car to find a soggy parking notice applied at 20:50 for non displayed parking charge ticket.

); drive up to the hotel entrance first, where there's room to turn the car around and then drive up the small parking-lot!

But you have to be careful not to overstay your allotted time, as we noticed a car park attendant checking the parking slips in the cars.

Parking is a bit of a struggle if you use their car park, sharp bend!

It is a fabulous coastal location in Cornwall, with a great beach, superb views from all the 9 rooms and great food.

Comfy, clean and well decorated rooms; good food (awesome breakfasts on our most recent visit); wonderful location with a vast stretch of pristine, golden sand at low tide and exhilarating coastal walks when the tide is in and the beach disappears!

We had a fantastic two nights in the most perfect location.

Stunning location with the best views over the beach, lovely to just sit and watch the waves and the beautiful sunsets.

The position of the pub is exceptional and we really enjoyed watching the sunset and the surfers.

A stunning location, a genuine chunk of Cornwall. The food menu is also a revelation with a wide range of pub-type food (pork pie ploughman’s – yesssss!)

To give you an idea as to how busy this place gets in spring/summer and autumn, there are nearly 50Nos 4 seater park bench style tables outside the front door and along the cliff top, plus what is available inside.

but that is no longer available so park in the main car park at the bottom of the hill and walk up.

Main car park apparently fell into the sea a couple of years ago.

We managed to exit the car park with the aid of my partners phone , using the torch on it ,but it was very very dark !

BUT WATCH OUT for the lower car park we parked in the dark at 18.30 and had a parking ticket.

When we arrived in the pouring rain and wind we parked in the car park only to see a sign saying no parking except residents.

In addition no cheese board because they couldn’t get the right cheese in which is just poor management again.

but, to be honest, it was a very poor breakfast - presented and tasted like bacon, eggs, etc, had been cooked well in advance and kept warm.

I've been back a few times since it was taken over by St Austell Brewery and since then it has been really poor.

however this is no excuse for poor service and poor standards.

Covid is not an excuse for poor standards.

Food choices were limited by Covid and for a vegetarian they were very poor.

So often I read reports of customers being disappointed by poor standards at popular tourist spots

but sadly let down by poor staffing levels that leaves you queueing for around 20 minutes at the least for food and drinks.

I had the chicken Cesar salad which was poor.

Talking to a local chap in there he told us the food is great when there not at peak times food was poor for money as we spent £75 on 4 meals meals and wish we hadent.

I have had two meals in this pub and both were of poor quality.

The Fish Pie was watery and pretty poor, the Ploughman's was awful.

but thats it, shame really as it could be so much more even the poor fish in aquarian seem depressed.

but the mains, a steak for me, quite average, and a burger for my partner were much smaller than beforehand, burger little bigger than Mcdonalds, an at the price poor?

I would definitely recommend this location if visiting Tintagel Castle or Port Isaac.

Had a fantastic walk from the pub to Port Isaac and will definetly be back to do some more walking around the area.

It is a short drive to Tintagel, Port Isaac, and other quaint port towns.

We have been staying at the Port William for over years now and has one of the best locations on the North Cornish coast for the sea, rather than quaint ports et al.

Food was good pub grub and nothing spoilt our trip not even my injured knee from the Port Isaac to Port Quinn killer walk!

I was out every day on costal walks visiting local Tintagel and port Isaac, every evening I sampled a few of the St Austell real ales that were all tasty especially the small batch brews they had, the food was always good as well, offering locally sourced food, the fish was always a delight.

A great pub that caters for the masses that visit this beautiful port with seating available inside and out to view the beautiful scenery the port offers along with the surrounding slate cliff faces - A varied menu offering freshly caught fish with all the regular favourites along with some unusual dishes that will suit all palettes - good selection of ales by the St Austell brewery - very friendly and accommodating staff.

So in the end we just decided to eat just up the road from Port Isaac where we were staying.

We set off across the cliffs from Tintagel church and made our way to this outstanding little port and pub.

For the past few years we'vefone the coastal walk from Port Isaac to here as a family snd ended with gorgeous grub and a pint here - love it! Staff friendly,helpful ( let me try Rattler before I ordered a pint - now my fave cider!)

Stayed for one night whilst in Port Isaac and Boscastle area.

It is in a great location - walking distance to Tintagel one way and Port Isaac the other.

We have been using the Port Willam Inn for 30 years as a family and I must say its looking the best I have seen it and there has clearly been a lot of hard work to up the standard.

Have had a very pleasant morning in Port Isaac we decided to go on to Trebarwith.

An hour or so cliff walk to Tintagel Castle and a four hour cliff walk to Doc Martin's Port Isaac.

An amazingly atmospheric beach only accessible for about six hours per day it is wonderful and the Port Willaim is always rammed and I suspect is one of the top earners for the St Austell brewery that own it.

Port wliam we visit you year after year, twice already this year and always left wanting more!

The beach is gorgeous and dog friendly,  the room was spotless and has everything you need, including luxury toiletries.

Lovely, spotless room, crisp white linen and comfy bed.

The room was very clean, facilities were great, breakfast was huge with lots of choice.

We stayed here for one night for our anniversary only coming from Devon, the rooms were clean and decorated well and with a stunning view of Trebarwith strand beach from our room.

First visit to the Port William for a few years and pleasantly surprised to see the work that has been done on the décor and sitting arrangements, all still offering that fabulous view over Trebarwith Strand.

They couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome and we can’t wait to visit again.

If you visit, I would recommend the seafood sharing platter for dinner.

This is somewhere everyone should visit, it’s bucket list worthy, a hidden gem.

Visited the restaurant for a meal during a few days' break in the area.

This is situated right on the South West Coast Path, so plenty of (very demanding) walks in the area and 10 minutes drive to Tintagel, the castle is well worth a visit.

About 10 mins drive to central Tintagel, castle tour about £16.50pp well worth a visit.

This is our fourth stay at the hotel and it gets better with each visit.

Sat inside for food & probably the best meal we had whilst visiting for the week with family, evening enjoyed by all my family.

This was our second visit to the Port William Inn and was as good as the first.

We visited today for lunch and had a lovely afternoon.

We would definitely stay again as the location was great for all the areas we visited during our trip.

In fact we cancelled a table in a nearby village pub to visit again.

Best place to while away a day or two and would visit again.

Room was beautiful with views over the harbour and very clean breakfast was lovely too.

but it had everything we needed and had a nice view over the harbour.
