The view was breathtaking from the balcony.

Slept beautifully every night, and we had a balcony so the view was always out of this world every time we looked out into the sea.

The view from the balcony is amazing, we were even lucky enough to witness a wedding!

In addition to top notch service, the views from our balcony, which we photographed, will help keep this wonderful hotel fresh in our memories and a return trip to the Eden Roc in our future travel plans.

TONY IS THE BREAKFAST GENERAL IN CHARGE AND HIS PERSONALITY IS BIGGER THAN LIFE..WE LOVE HIM AND HIS SERVICE TEAM.

I even saw them make a guy an omelette to go for his wife who was still sleeping.

The complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious and the view was perfection.

Luca was our waiter and the food was delicious.

Tony at breakfast was awesome and even got a whole lot of options for my gluten free daughter.

They had a beautiful breakfast upstairs on the top floor overlooking the Mediterranean.

Breakfast was included at the hotel and Tony and his staff made each morning special.

From Mario at the reception desk, the bellman who takes your luggage to the room, housekeeping and Tony and Chris in the restaurant at breakfast and lunch.

You will not be disappointed… breakfast was the best we have ever had.

As a bonus, breakfast with Tony was probably the best part of our day.

And the breakfast was great, the server named Tony made sure you had a very good meal in the morning and always tried to help out from Nutella for kids to Babyccinos and omelettes.

The restaurant both for dinner and breakfast is great.

Such amazing and attentive service and the breakfast spread was so delicious!

Tony at breakfast was delightful and had a great sense of humor.

The breakfast buffet is amazing with basically almost anything you could want.

In the morning the rooftop restaurant is a great place to start the day with a great buffet with many options.

Awesome restaurants, breakfasts, wine and olive oil tasting with Luigi, housekeeping, & transport service.

Only con, is it was a bit noisy near the stairs.

You also hear a lot of the noise from the cars on the street.

however, this was not an issue for us as the sound really died down by about 11pm each night.

The only real negative is that our room was located on the fourth floor right underneath the restaurant, and the sound of setting up for breakfast was quite loud in our room and would wake us up every morning.

On our check out our car was brought to us with our bags carried to the car and they assisted us getting out our space in the traffic.

The superior rooms with large sea view balconies are on lower floors are very noisy because of the road.

Only downside was occasionally a noisy neighbour/kids . .

although we could hear our neighbours talking.

but the walls and ceilings are paper-thin, so you can hear everything from all your neighbor (sleeping in is therefore not an option).

I don’t think I would stay here again for one reason-that being the amount of noise you hear from your room.

Rooms had a little street noise and smaller bed (we're both very tall),

I mean eg. comments about the noise from the road ( the windows are absolutely sound proof when closed ) or that somebody locked himself out on the balcony, because of the funny functioning of the door lock (completely impossible now with the balcony door closing system present.)

but not too close to hear all the noise and tourist.

However, this hotel is on an extremely busy road and the rooms are noisy from the traffic all night long.

Minor annoyance is traffic on main road running right in front of hotel.

However, there are of course lots of steps, narrow paths (or none at all), and plenty of traffic to negotiate.

As the hotel is on the main road there is traffic daily noise at the front of the hotel.

In couple of hours we noticed a lot of noise coming from the elevator as we were given a room next to the elevator.

The only negative is it's located on the main road so there was some noise that you could heard from the traffic

We also enjoyed a day on the rooftop at the pool.

Try their rooftop pool with bar service (have an aperol spritz- yum).

The rooftop pool and bar area is impressive as well.

Location is a great (a little away from the beach and crowds) had a nice size pool on roof top and the breakfast buffet in the morning gave us a great start to our day!

Loved the personal tour of the property when you arrive, the rooftop pool was great and staff were are so friendly and accommodating.

The roof top pool has incredible views, as do the rooms.

The view is amazing, the roof top pool/bar is beautiful.

The rooftop pool, with a cocktail brought to you in the water, was perfect to come back to after a day of being a tourist with the heat.

It is a charming  and perfectly located boutique hotel in Positano with a really great staff, restaurant, quiet, rooftop pool, wine tasting room and fantastic breakfast every morning.

As well, we enjoyed the hotel’s lovely amenities including the roof top pool & bar area, and food.

A fabulous rooftop pool and sun deck which was unrivalled in our opinion.

This is one of few in the city to have a pool on the rooftop.

for us, the highlight was the rooftop pool- the temperature of the pool was perfect and the view was amazing and after a day of sightseeing we loved spending our afternoons relaxing by the pool.

Dinner on a rooftop terrace overlooking Positano - whether in daylight or with twinkling lights at night - just cannot be beaten.

Breakfast was ample and delicious and we ate twice at the rooftop restaurant for dinner.

We had lunch at the roof top terrace while we waited for our room and had an awesome view of Positano.

Great cocktails at the bar and food in the rooftop restaurant is incredible.

Carlo and his team in the rooftop restaurant went out of their way even preparing off the menu items for us which were amazing!!

This hotel is located on a very busy road and you can hear all the traffic with the doors closed at night while trying to sleep.

Others have mentioned the road noise, and yes, the hotel is on quite a busy road

Only negative is it is on the main road so during the day you hear a lot of traffic.

Right on the road so some noise -- AND it's 9 stories down to the beach.

The only potential drawback is street noise if there are light sleepers in your group.

The only down side was that the hotel is on the main road and the traffic noise on the patio was a bit more than I could stand (we were on the first floor).

I know other people have mentioned the road noise,

but the family room is on the first floor, so you are directly over the street traffic and "only" have a view of the sea.

If you closed the balcony doors I didn't notice street noise.

We were on the first floor with a sea view and I was a bit concerned that there would be noise from the road in front of the hotel at night

The only problem that I had was there was a great deal of road noise and I'm a light sleeper.

I had read reviews that mentioned street noise and the hard mattresses - neither one of us noticed this at all.

The only negative thing we experienced during our visit was the traffic from the road just outside the hotel.

I was first disappointed that we had a room so close to the road and we did hear cars if we had the balcony doors open.

The ONLY con is the street noise which did wake us up a few times and I suppose the bed could have been a bit less firm.

We drove to the hotel, and at least in April, the road and traffic conditions were fine.

Any breakfast food you would want they had.

We also loved eating at the restaurant, Terraza Cele, and the buffet breakfast as well.

The breakfast is included and it was delicious.

Cirro did a great job at breakfast, insuring our complete satisfaction.

Breakfast is included in your stay and is nothing short of magnificent in view and in food/beverage offering ( cheeky mimosa to start your day).

Paolo went above and beyond, even gifting us a beautiful print of Positano before we left as a keepsake that we will always cherish, and Dario helped us every time we needed anything, and threw in extra nice touches such as breakfast and champagne delivered right to our room.

Great buffet breakfast, beautiful hotel, views are epic, great location, and very warm staff.

From the location, the gorgeous view from many vantage points, the delicious cuisine , the access to the private beach club, and MOST importantly the hospitable and welcoming staff we plan on coming back another season!

I cannot thank Marincanto enough for being part of my wedding day and making our trip to Positano so incredible.

We started our honeymoon in Positano and this town and Maricanto were the most assertive choices,

We stayed four nights at the Marincanto on the last leg of our honeymoon in Italy, and we absolutely loved it!

We booked the honeymoon suite with an in room Jacuzzi hot tub with a view.

We recently stayed for our honeymoon at Hotel Marincanto for 5 nights to end our 2 week trip.

My husband and I booked here for 3 days during our honeymoon and had an amazing time.

This honeymoon we have stayed in two other hotels in Venice and Rome which boast arguably more of a reputation,

We came to Hotel Marincanto from Rome where we had a whirlwind two days trying to see as much as we could at the start of our honeymoon.

We stayed in their Honeymoon suite for our honeymoon and we loved our experience.

We booked the Honeymoon Suite, which was well worth it.

So having access to Marincanto private beach complimentary should definitely be factored in.

We had great weather and went down to the private beach each day.

Plus, no other hotel that we could tell has its own beach club like this one did, with its own private staircase (even if I did only get to make it down once!).

The private beach definitely made the hotel worth every penny.

And for what I could see, only Marincanto offers this kind of experience, beach front, private beach and an extra city center access

The private beach access is unlike anything another hotel in the area offers, 20/10 for sure ❤️🇮🇹

There was an attendant at the entrance explaining to people it was private.

The hotel is situated in probably the best location in Positano and has a beautiful private beach which was incredible!

The suite with private plunge pool is incredible!

If you are extremely fit or a mountain goat then the private beach area is great.

Hotel Marincanto still seemed to be in a good location and also has it's own private beach access with free chairs/umbrella which was a HUGE perk.

There are so many spots on site to enjoy: the veranda, the private beach, the pool area, etc.

we didn't take advantage of the pool, private beach (15-30E/day/person), hot tub, sun deck

The hotel has private beach (with a lot of stairs), the room with great view just infront of the sea.

The hotel is easily walkable to the beach (has its own private beach "pad"), restaurants, shopping and sightseeing.

The biggest item to note was the private beach club.

Huge private terrace, double shower, jet bath with views of the town and the ocean, simply breathtaking.

The good parts first:
- beautiful views 
- close to the beach and even has a private beach and private pool just for hotel guests 
- 5 min walk to main square in positano 
- the staff really do try hard to respond to your requests 
- I wrote to the hotel beforehand to reserve a nice sea view table for dinner, which I got despite the restaurant being full.

- my dream of the reception outside on terrace didn't happen because of the rain

He helped us get a great spot on the terrace for drinks one afternoon, and also was instrumental in arranging an trip for us to Amalfi.

The room had a large plus a tiny terrace, facing in different directions.

Food options at the hotel are great, lovely little restaurant and for sure, obe of the most beautfyul terrace views while breakfast/lunch/dinner that you can find.

From the incredibly large terrace, filled with a grove of lemon and lime trees along with hibiscus blooms, to the marble jacuzzi facing the sea, we could not have loved the room more.

The venue was so beautiful and romantic, from the pre-reception drinks and nibbles terrace, to the lay out for the reception itself.

The view from the terrace and pool is just amazing.

One thing I would just say it’s a bit of an Instagrammers dream so plenty of posing going on on the terrace when you are having lunch.

It has beautiful gardens and a wonderful dining terrace.

There is a nice terrace that houses their restaurant.

and the terrace where you eat breakfast also has breathtaking views.

but the room and terrace could have been decorated better.

There was no better way to start or end the day than sitting on the terrace and looking out over the town.

but the pool closed at like 6, but you can still enjoy the terrace anyway.

but the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating, organising a beautiful table on the terrace for us to take dinner.

We had a beautiful terrace with an incredible view of the water.

Breakfast was delicious and in such a beautiful setting on the terrace.

You can access their private beach using steps from the terrace.

The hotel itself is quite outdated and the Wi-Fi barely worked.

In addition, the room isn’t close enough to the main building for WiFi access, the make up mirror fell off the wall when we arrived, the lights continually flickered on and off, and the shower seal was ineffective and left water all over the floor.

That being said, the wifi and TV in our room didn't work.

One downside, if you are depending on internet, their internet connection is shoddy at best.

One unfortunate feature was the WiFi router.

The ONLY negative about this hotel is that the wifi was really not good.

Would go to the same hotell again if visiting the Amalfi Coast. - The wifi was instable and slow (which was not too improtant to us though)

The main problem was the Internet, as it has been already mentioned by other treveleers, the speed is slow, very very slow.

The reason we have given this hotel a 4 star as opposed to a 5 star rating is because the WiFi was pretty unreliable and we had some difficulties with hot water in the shower (other people were complaining of similar problems). However, Gianni (spelling?!)
