I have just stayed at El Mirador in Costa Adeja for the third time and booked for next year before we left the hotel is excellent the staff are always very friendly and helpful the food is excellent the gym had new equipment which was very good the Star Prestige Rooms are rather lovely

All the waiters, cleaners and receptionists are also very warm, friendly and helpful.

but if you are looking for a holiday of peace and luxury look no further .The staff are all so friendly headed by Tiziana who makes everyone feel special .The rest of the staff always look happy even if tired .We always enjoy catching up with Davide Claudia is a reasonably new member and a lovely addition .

From the reception staff, restaurant servers to the cleaners, all very friendly and super efficient.

Right from the arrival, the staff were friendly, hard working and helpful.

but we always stay at the the Mirador because this is truly a sumptuously appointed hotel, supported by warm and friendly staff, where nothing is too much trouble.

The stand out member of staff at this hotel is Tiziana, the Assistant Manager who constantly checks on the well-being of all guests and is the most friendly, helpful person you could wish to meet.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Also a big mention for Eliza in the El Cenador restaurant, she really is such a joy, with her big warm friendly smile and again always chatty whilst giving a 5 star service.

Tiziana, Carla, Diana, Jonathan and the whole of the staff in all areas were very friendly and happy, which is a good sign that the culture around the place is good.

The housekeeping staff were efficient and on the rare occasions we actually saw them, very friendly.

Whether it be breakfast or the evening meal service was superb and delivered in such a friendly, light hearted, yet professional manner.

Orlando and his team by the pool were incredibly efficient and so friendly and they always found us sun beds where we wanted to be, nothing was too much trouble for them.

They are polite, friendly and very respectful.

Fabulous hotel,  nothing too much trouble for Tiziana and the whole friendly welcoming team making our holiday extra special in  the bar, restaurants and pool area.

On arrival you are checked in by reception who are professional,  very friendly and are ready to answer any questions you may have.

although some reviews have said it had a lot of fish dishes we didn’t bank on the meat options being such a poor offering.

The sinks drained very slowly, indicative of poor maintenance.

The service was poor in many respects, and we are astonished that this quality of hotel accepts such a shoddy service.

But this was very poor, weak and not much flavour.

but no communication was shared - very poor.

The a la carte food for the price is very poor, a medium cooked chateaubriand that was grey in the middle, the service was awful, 3 hours for a 2 course meal.

but mainly open air so not good in poor evening weather, and the buffet restaurant.

Our experience was that it was poor and not a patch on the quality of the main restaurant.

Service in the a la carte dining restaurant was poor and the food was not good.

but the attention to detail was at times poor as some days towels were not available, there is no phone for emergencies and no water coolers or water bottles on site.

but for us it has been completely ruined by the noisy building works and poor weather.

What was disappointing about our stay was the poor service and attention to detail.

The service around the pool was poor too.

Door handles hanging off, a dingy shower which was tiny, rust on towel rails, poor lighting and so on.

Almost all the bartends, with the exception of 1-2, were very poor.

A couple of minor niggles - the wi fi is poor in the rooms okay in reception(

Other 5 star hotels we've stayed at are often let down by high staff turnover from all over Europe that only stay for a season or less, with poor motivation.

Food was poor and service lacking- as we were all inc - it wasn't much to concern us

Absolutely all the staff are fantastic and are definitely a highlight of the stay - you are well looked after from first arrival to leaving for your return flight.

As I can see, you make all your guests feel this way

Our welcome was first class, the receptionist was very friendly and welcomed us into the hotel.

The entertainment are very friendly and try to get everybody involved in a non pushy way.

Lots of entertainment throughout the day and evening and staff are all friendly!!

The swimming pool is great and the staff is really friendly, and the chefs also took the children into account in the meals.

Tenerife,is dirty area outside hotel walking to shop disgusting litter etc everywhere same can be said for sea fronts lots of litter on rocks etc…very off putting.

When abroad there are all sorts of funny smells that we are not used to so I brushed this off.

but they got confrontational with her and she was scared of them and then offered to move us to a different room, we weren't the issue here we shouldnt of had to move, she also informed me that Spanish laws says they can smoke cannabis on private property regardless of the fact there is no smoking signs everywhere in the hotel.

The problem was not the language barrier, this man was nasty and horrible.

The hot tub was very dirty and there was a smell coming from it daily so we only used it once.

Choice wad poor, looked disgusting, virtually the same everyday.

but it would run hot and cold, sometimes too hot which burned (not badly) one of the kids.

Could also smell urine in the bathroom on first entry.

Our first room was full of mosquitos and smelled like mildew.

Please please dont spoil your holiday do not stay at this hotel rooms are filthy had to move rooms food is the worst all inclusive I have ever been too food terrible drinks terrible offered us a free bottle of champagne in an all inclusive hotel checked out after 2 nights staff very unhelpful no manager on site would not refund us for are terrible stay only nights we checked out please avoid filthy beds tryed to tell me it was because of the rain

We noticed a smell coming from the air con at night like rotten bins .

We could not stay for dinner, the food was disgusting.

You can only smoke in your room and outside of the hotel.

Also you can’t smoke anywhere in the hotel my husband had to go half way down the street .

The only negative point about the Reception staff is that in the night they go to the back of the office, which is right below our room´s balcony to chat and smoke.

The room we were given was dark, dingy and musty smelling as it was virtually in the basement.

Although they were doing repair works near the kids pool drilling and cleaning out the drains so they had to shut sides off.

but it smelt really bad - of damp/mildew when the air con was on and the room (which was down 2 flights of stairs) was really really dark because of yellow style lights.

Towels you can hire for €20 refundable deposit each from reception and change daily.

Respect for all of them  that they can still smile at the end of the long shift 👏👏👏.

The staff are amazing and very helpful!

The two guys doing the entertainment made the holiday they were so involved with the kids.

but its actually kind of quiet at periods during the day, because very few spend the whole day there.

The staff is very hardworking  and helpful.

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff, throughout, lovely pools, great selection of food and drinks, great central location in Costa Adeje close to beaches, bars and shops.

On arrival we were greeted by a friendly reception team they made us very welcoming and checked us in promptly.

All the staff are amazingly friendly and committed to their role.

The food is superb and all the staff are extremely accommodating , friendly and very professional.

but fantastic,from the cleaners who do a wonderful job keeping everything spotless ,bar staff restaraunt staff and any member of staff you come across so friendly and go out of there way to accommodate you ,and what can I say about the entertainment team ,fantasticis an undetstatement ,well done guys and gals micky aldo you should be so proud,and can I take this opportunity  to wish you all a realy happy new year we will be back

We walked everyday, along to playa del duque one day, to los cristianos another day down to Puerto colon , which was buzzing and friendly.

The wine was not worthy of being called a "house wine" and the spirits were of poor quality.

but it was example after example of poor customer service.

The air con in the room was very poor it hardly gave out any cool air, we found it sweltering in there at times, especially after a shower, no extractor in the bathroom either.

Very poor quality, by the 2nd week I couldn't face drinking them.

The WiFi at the hotel is pretty poor especially at the time when everyone is accessing it between pool time and dinner time, greater bandwidth to allow for the number of guests would be an advantage in the technology era!

The all inclusive drinks are very poor quality especially the beer not the best I have had .having said that I would most definitely go back to this hotel

The only small criticisms I have are: 
The standard of the all inclusive cocktail list is pretty poor, and if like me you enjoy a mojito or daiquiri on holidays, you need to either pay for your drinks (€4.13 - they charge to your room each time) or upgrade to the premium drinks package.

but the rooms were tired in desperate need of a makeover.. entertainment I found was poor nothing to do in the day especially if you're waiting for airport transfer overall food was basic if you like salad your well in .

Evening entertainment was ok. Had a few issues trying to find comfy chairs or any chairs after dinner.

but the curtains don’t reach the floor so the room is light all night - the tea and coffee need changing as they are both poor quality- the orange juice is watered down - overall just small changes would make a big difference to this hotel - unfortunately the waiters took my plate even before I had finished eating which is a big hate of mine

The pool area is clean and tidy and we have never failed to find a sunbed should we want one   The entertainment is poor with the area being unsuitable and very echoey with no other space to retire to to have a chat.

Not to mention the irrelevant distraction of poor Harry & Megan.

The bathroom was also very small for two people with poor dirty mastic around the shower area.

My only issue is the poor choice of cocktails unless you upgrade

Air con: I’ve read Lots of groans about the poor air con here, I can see why.

We took the lift down to the restaurant floor and were unable to exit the lift as the queues were horrendous.

but there was always an 830 am queuing system which we watched with amusement because there was at least 2/3rds of the sun beds left after that rush so no need to get up early!!

But every morning there was a queue then people ran to put towles on the beds.

However this did not stop some people from queueing up to run out at 8.30 am to reserve their spot for the day!

The pool area did not open until 0830, so I was amused to see the same faces queueing up since whenever?????

3 lifts we personally haven’t had a problem waiting for them a couple of minutes.

Whilst we enjoyed the entertainment most nights, we found ourselves going out in the early evening, sometimes staying out all night, as most of it doesn’t start until 9-9.30pm, meaning you are just sat around waiting after you’ve had dinner.

but I really object to having to queue to go outside to read my book until 8.30!!!!

( In hindsight being murdered would have been a blessing) on my last day queuing at the pool bar and my mate from the first night was on duty ( lucky me) he completely ignored me and went about collecting empty glasses he even left the bar to compete this task.

I felt sorry for the breakfast chef who was trying to juggle making fried eggs, omelettes and crepes at the same time and at busy times there was long queuing.

For us the down side was some guests queuing to get “their” sun beds when the pool area opens at 8.30, there is really no need you can get beds anytime of day, and  in my opinion some of the guests who returned time after time seemed to think they had priority over us newbies, and monopolised much of the staffs time.

No waiter service in the bar so you had to join a queue on the stairs and wait to be called to the bar when it was your turn to be served.

We spent quite a lot of money eating out, as did a lot of other couples They certainly need a bigger salad bar as it was like queuing for the bus with people pushing in all the time.

There was no waiter Service in the inside bars either, you had to queue.

Always found a sunbed, without queuing at 8.30 and making a dash.

People were queuing at two points from about 7:45 am, outside the restaurant and in the main lounge area, waiting for the pool area to be opened at 8:30am.

Restaurant was well organised and many types of food available at all times we stayed fully inclusive.the entertainment staff worked hard all day and night wether it was sport or evening entertainment sports facilities especially good with football tennis etc

staff always very welcoming especially on arrival with a glass of bubbbly, making you at ease.

Whilst the hotel is lovely , the team behind it are awesome !

Staff are amazing, customer service superb.

There’s also a great team on reception who are only too willing to help.

Cant fault the staff and animation team are brilliant.

The Staff are Very Good and we enjoyed the Stay once over the Incident ..We have stayed at Hovima before and all good ..Would now pay more attention to Guests reviews as to revisit .

Everything about this hotel is brilliant, from the reception to the restaurant to the bar and entertainment staff, all seem to enjoy their work which rubs off on the guests.

We'll pick something further away from Las Americas next time too, it is quite noisy from all the neighbouring hotels here if you have your door open at night, either side the hotels are "family friendly" so have late night entertainment.

Our shower didn’t work properly and the shower door didn’t close properly either.

Our room door developed a problem with the closing mechanism and once we reported it to reception a locksmith was dispatched to our room within 20 minutes to fix the problem and again a very professional and friendly gentleman carried out the work.

but the balcony doors were not double glazing.

The entertainment was also poor and we often spent our evenings on the terrace bar listening to the entertainment of the hotel next door.

but wouldn’t expect in a 5* - balcony door didn’t close properly, mini fridge was not cold, wardrobe door constantly got stuck, shower cubicle leaked), and the hotel foyer/restaurant/communal areas did not seem to have AC (meant it was cooler to sit outside than in!).

but the manager needs to take notice of feedback regarding lifts, they are problematic and one evening the doors closed on me giving me a nasty bruise on my arm and I know I'm not the first, so although he states he uses feedback to improve, it's obviously not happening and someone will get hurt one day.

No locks on the bedroom door was concerning.

but should be addressed as it’s a 5 star hotel, the lifts didn’t always work, our card for door didn’t always work and on last day we couldn’t get into our room, balcony wasn’t cleaned the whole time we were there.

The doors constantly get slammed very early by other guests in the morning as people rushing down at silly hours to reserve sunbeds .

but I can't say this caused any problems when the balcony door was closed.

The only con to the room we never managed to sleep past 9am due to the cleaners and mini bar services coming to the door, some days this was even with DND sign on.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when we were heading downstairs for breakfast and people had formed a queue in the Star Prestige refreshment area so that they could get to the sun beds as soon as the door to the terrace was unlocked…..it’s a real shame that the hotel doesn’t ‘police’ the reserving of sun beds better, as you’ll never remove selfish people from resorts!

We had read a review that said next doors hotel entertainment was a bit noisy.

But it does finish by 11pm. Then on the sea view side the fun pub across the way, which gets pretty busy, with live entertainment and karaoke which can go on until late, then it’s just the neighbouring music and shouting noise…………etc, late night or early morning door slamming and chair dragging (why do people do that??)

If you want an immediate poolside bed in the rooftop star prestige area, then people will queue from at least 8.30am until the doors open at 9am.

There are one or two areas where things are beginning to look a bit tatty, for example pretty much every door frame is bashed and dented from the room cleaners trolleys, and it really detracts from what is quite a modern interior.

Having used the side door of the restaurant one evening coming back from the promenade we understood why it is €45 each - we've never witnessed food waste like we witnessed in the restaurant - trolleys and trolleys of food waste!

Everywhere is spotlessly clean, the staff are extremely friendly &helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

From the minute you arrive you are greeted with the most friendly Butler who gives you a cool towel and glass of cava and beer for my husband.

The food is excellent and the staff are friendly.

Amazing hotel in a fabulous location with wonderful friendly staff, who go out of their way to do anything they can to help.

The pool is lovely, All the staff are smiley and friendly.
