Beds are comfortable and it is easily accessible from the highway.

Access to the kitchen made us feel more at home.

There is a general guest seating area under cover with access to a large pool which was pleasnt to relax in.

Finally it is conveniently located with easy access from the N3.

The location and access is perfect for overnight stays to watch local sport or attend events nearby.

Central location and accessible from the city and key service areas like the malls.

Easliy accessible and close to the Golden Horse Casino and the Royal Showgrounds.

It is in a fairly central position for Pietermaritzburg and it is therefore easy to access most places.

It really helped having wifi internet access since we needed to get some work done as well.

The easy access to WIFI and a TV in the room were also great conveniences.

Another bonus is its short and easy access to the main road in PMB.

The breakfast can be worked on as it was average and it was the same thing every day.

Sne our young lady who looked after us was very helpful and she also made the breakfast which was on time and good!

The host was very friendly, it was nice and clean, with a nice breakfast.

Breakfast was great, the overnight oats is well worth a try.

Tancredi is a great place, situated close tp restaurants, offers fantastic English breakfast  (Almost as if Ann, the owner was stuffing us for the longs days ahead) She accommodated us at the last minute, took great care of us like her own kids (we were there for a wedding party after all).

Tasty and wonderful breakfast was served in nice and unique lounge area.

A few little things here and there could be chucked or fixed.

The basin's plug had a chain on which was not fixed to the basin, thus in the way all the time you want to use the plug, the bath's hot water tap opened with a loud squeaky and rumbling noise and the double towel rail was broken, the broken pieces still attached to what was left of the rail on the wall.

The venue was close to the Golden Horse Casino where the function we attended was held.

The bed was worn and not great, the kettle in the room needs replacing.

Only one recommendation would be to put a microwave in the rooms for those who do not wish to go out for dinner and need to warm something up to eat for the evening.

She booked pre-race dinner for us, bought us ear plugs as she's heard that one of her neighbors had planned a party, and got up at 3:30am to cook us all breakfast before we ran.

One point of criticism: the fried eggs were rather rubberlike.

In my booking I made a point of telling them we had a baby, so for more than 24 hours they knew this.

also the extra linen for the sleeper couch is not readily available in the room, you have to request this from the front desk.

Why does Stay Easy not have rooms like other Tsogo Hotels where u have 2 double beds in one room.

The air-conditioning unit in the room was stuck on 17 despite it being a freezing cold night in Pietermaritzburg, upon reporting this to the front desk the best they could provide us with was one spare blanket and a noisy air heater which produced more noise than heat, this lead to a very uncomfortable night.

The heating system in the room didnt work and I was cold despite the best efforts of the staff to bring extra blanket and a miniature heater.

If a bed is all you want, then you may be happy here.

The bed was not big enough for 2 adults to sleep comfortably in, the TV did not allow me to connect my laptop via HDMI, we had to ask for the cleaner to come up and clean our room

Rooms are cleaned daily and bed linen is extra white.

The staff refused to combine the beds, with an attitude I was told the housekeepers are gone.

My air conditioner was not working and there was no extra blanket in the room.

Fantastic free breakfast is always divine.

The staff assisting me during check in were efficient and helpful, breakfast was good.

You need to improve on the healthy variety provided for breakfast and well as the DSTV channels especial when it comes to movie, news and sports channels.

Management was amazing attending to the finer details at breakfast.

Being a vegan a special breakfast was prepared for me .

The chef and waitering staff at breakfast are also friendly and polite.

Recent visit was not impressed with the cleanliness of the room,lumps of dust and dirty around the sleeper couch area, moved the couch and cleaner returned it without cleaning.

however breakfast staff should be aware of their surroundings, " don't clean while I am eating" perhaps a better breakfast variety.

they left my not cleaned, I came back at 2pm and my room was dirty and they told me they were on lunch

but I was disturbed from 11:15 about 4 times by housekeeping, managers etc.

there’s also a school bell that rings every 5 minutes outside the hotel.

The facility is the expected standard when you are utilising the Tsogo group facilities, the staff was welcoming and the check out process was also very efficient.

However the staff was helpful in assisting on the non-functioning wifi.

Stay Easy has by far the most helpful and friendliest staff than most hotels in PMB.

Had the opportunity of staying here numerous times over the last 6 months, organising a school reunion and i have to say it is the nicest most accommodating place i have stayed in a long time.

The bedrooms are neat and the reception on entry was excellent.

Staff are very professional and conducted themselves in a good manner.

It is a hotel thatis central to all the needs if any kind of visitor.

As I was travelling on a package I have always been forced in other Tsogo Sun establishments to go for a buffet (which I don't like) and this made me feel at home.

Restaurant breakfasts are more than sufficient.

The breakfast was great with a variety of choices to choose from.

I had the best time of my life in the hotel.the service was perfect, i even enjoyed the food that was served mostly their breakfast

The breakfasts was good and the service received was awesome.

Excellent service from all the Golden Horse, from the ever receptionist, to the breakfast and dinner waitors, who take and delivers orders efficiently, the kitchen staff as well.

Thanks to Songezo who always brew the Cafe Latte to perfection and the Manager on duty during breakfast, Mongezi, always attentive and ensure that the breakfast is up to the best standard.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay,  service was the best quality and the breakfast was awesome,  We will definitely be requemending to family and friends.

As part of the Golden Horse casino complex, the hotel is definitely aesthetically pleasing with the horse statue fountain in front.

Their rooms are away from the noise which makes one forget that its located in the casino complex.

The hotel is located within the same building complex as the Casino, hence there were a lot of activities to keep us busy.

I really enjoyed the stay I can go there again if I get the chance, the atmosphere was good and the staff was friendly.

The food are tasteful and the service is also good and efficient.

Tge resturent vibe was very nice and warm temperature which was very comfortabke considering it was a little cold in the evening when we arrived and encouraged one to stay longer than innitially planned.

Suggestion : offer bridal couple complimentary stay when they marry at the golden horse venue, also it would be good for the room of the couple to be decorated e.g rose petals, tea light candles.

My stay at the Golden Horse Casino is always an excellent one.

Very comfortable and pleasant stay in the Golden Horse Casino Southern Sun hotel.

As part of a group of 10 businessmen, I recently stayed at the "Golden Horse Casino Hotel" which is also known as the Southern Sun.

Hotel gives direct access to the Golden Horse Casino.

The room service team can do better, they sounded uninterested in taking our order and it seemed as if we were bothering them when we placing our order around 9pm.

The receptionist could see that I was exhausted and advised me to rather order room service.

please introduce buffet during dinner because sometimes the menu is too complicated, and one ends up  ordering food that he/she does not intend to order.

Breakfast was boring staff was not interested ordered coffee came after 20min .

when the restaurant deliver food the food must be what you had initially ordered and it must be served with all the necessary sauces and most of all I don't think someone enjoys cold diner my dinner was served cold

May I request that the menu prices on the rooms be aligned with the ones at the restaurant, as I have ordered room service and realised that the prices are not the same.

I ordered my dinner, salt and paper not included, wine was not opened, had to call again for corkscrew.

The only negative was the safe was bolted the floor and you had to lie on your stomach in order to use it.

We where finally seated,one junior staff member was put in charge of the group drinks and meal orders.

but the patron did not get my order correct.

After placing our order for in room dining there was major confusion from room service as they said I have to pay cash.

but having loud, drunk people making a noise in the early hours is not on.

Casino is very busy all day and night so request a room at the other end of the hotel as it plays very loud music!

We rounded up the rest of our group who where scattered around the casino after finishing their meals a playing the games on offer.

Drivers are loud all night making it difficult to have a good night's rest.

The hotel is noisy and the staff loud and unfriendly.

The casino was busy, and unfortunately it was difficult to find a machine to play on, because too many locals are allowed to hog two and three machines to play on (by tilting the chair at the machines).

The lobby and restaurant are extremely loud because of the casino

Queries and questions are answered promptly by Reception staff and a minor request for assistance, while turned down, is accompanied by a thorough explanation of why it can't be done and makes perfect sense.

I requested and iron and more refreshments and it was brought to be in a jiffy.

but don't ever request anything additional.

Teach your staff to get off their behinds and attend to our requests rather that tell us "we don't have".

From requesting an iron and ironing board and no one pitching, to calling reception and the phone ringing forever without answer, to the shocking food served at breakfast (probably yesterday's lunch leftovers), to being sent a broken iron and being told there is no other iron so I had to iron with a leaking iron which made my suit and shirt wet.

but this time around, being allocated a smoking room, I felt I should have been asked if I was a smoker or not.

The air conditioner was not working properly in one of our rooms and we were moved to another room.

Beware the large noisy aircon units - if you get a room near these, ask to be moved.

The aircon in the room did not work and both bedside lamps were not working- faulty bulbs.

They were constantly updating me telephonically upon enquiring about the heater (aircon) that was not working in one of the nights until it was sorted.

The aircon was not working, we asked for a blown light bulb in the room to be replaced on Saturday and despite reassurance, nothing was done for the entire duration.

The hotel and rooms are cold in winter so make sure the room you get has a functioning air con.

One colleague could not get their aircon working (heater setting) to offset the chill

One was much smaller, did not have an A/C system and a fridge.

Whilst showering, I noticed that the bathroom was steam filled, hence realised that the extractor fan was not working.

There was no soup for starters on a freezing cold night.

The breakfast we had was great and we were sad to leave when we had to return home.

The hotel is lovely, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and what's more, it is in Hilton, a beautiful little town, and even better, close to Karkloof where you can find some amazing hiking, trial runs and mountain biking.

Great coffee, healthy breakfast options, friendly service & very accommodating in ensuring that I was set up to get work done.

From the breakfast staff, to the reception, to the room service staff- I was impressed with their friendliness and attentiveness.

The buffet takes my appetite away so I never try it if I can help it.

Breakfast spread & Restaurant menu are reasonably good to.

We then ordered the all day breakfast which looked very nice ,

The food is outstanding - breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Dinner time had arrived and I was looking forward to the buffet menu on offer.

The breakfast, while offering the standard fare expected at a hotel, was good.

The food was scrumptious, i ordered room service and the food arrived at my door in no time, the breakfasts are well set up and run efficiently with the buffet providing a good hearty breakfast to get the day started.

Our booking included breakfast which was delicious, I can recommend the omelette.

Food: The breakfasts were very good and the dinner buffet was also very good.

but it’s worthwhile mentioning that you have to dress smart casual to dine there (breakfast or dinner).

We enjoyed breakfast (a lot of choice and delicious).

The breakfast selection has always been extensive and continues to be so.
