The position alongside the river is convenient, the rooms are immaculate, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast we had was perfect.

Everything from the service we received from the hotel staff, the immaculate room (pool access room), thru to the beautiful smiles they showed each time we went thru the lobby.

While the room accommodations were pleasant and clean, we were extremely disappointed with a few of the amenities.

Bathroom was large and clean, includes a separate shower and a bathtub, all toiletries provided.

But I was quite happy to see that our room were clean, they served us the welcome fruits, minibar was nice because I could find some soft drinks and snacks inside, and they did not lock the fridge like what the five stars hotel in Monaco did to me. lol.

The location is perfect for access to the few tourist sites in town; the rooms and all common areas are spotlessly clean; the breakfast was attractively laid out and surprisingly good - fresh croissants, strong coffee, eggs cooked fresh, nice bread; and, the staff were all very friendly and really try hard.

but clean and well-appointed with a good shower cubicle as well as a huge bath.

I had a studio suite on the 3rd floor which was spacious and comfortable, with a nice terrace.

Our beautiful Lanna style room on the fourth floor was super spacious (37m², including bathroom), comfortable, very clean, super blinking wooden floor.

Room was nicely fitted out and very comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was really large (separate bath and shower) with gorgeous toiletries.

A short walk away from a couple of the large local temples, this hotel is modern and very comfortable.

The rooms are large enough to be comfortable with wooden floors and Thai Silk curtains, comfortable beds with lots of pillows ensure a good night's sleep.

Located at a convenient location within walking distance to various local restaurants and famous temple, Yodia Heritage Hotel offered beautiful and spacious rooms and charming services.

Room are great I am staying on 4th floor and really love to see green scene around.

Rooms were well appointed, we stayed in a triple room.

Our room over looked the pool, which we enjoyed both days.

Fortunately all other personnel did speak more than enough English to communicate 'normally'.

There were many mosquitoes due to the proximity of the water, we asked for mosquito spray and were told none was available at the hotel, I don't know how that is possible, or perhaps we were again not understood.

In terms of uniqueness and due to the beauty of the place, this property is so impressive that could be the key selling point to put Phitsanulok in the worlwide map.

Meals often came out wrong, maybe due to the miscommunication and sporadically , there seemed to be no flow of entree, main and dessert .Meals just randomly landed on the table in no order at all-but that seems to be a Thailand thing, We experienced this type of service all over Thailand.

Also note that due to excusivity and location close to the party places it's possible that there are wedding (or other) parties in the property which can last all night long (we had neighbours who partied till I called security at 3am)

I'd recommend this place for longer than 1 nights stay (as you can benefit of the facilities, for 1 night it isn't worth to spend the money) if management improves Wifi, renews pool and hires front desk girls who can speak better English.

My company located me in the Pattara Resort, in preference to the Topland Hotel in the center of town, due to room availability.

There was therefore zero atmosphere in the (rather bare) restaurant (we chose not to sit outside due to a thunderstorm),

Breakfast was more than adequate. Service can be a little strained at times, mainly due to poor English (but still better than my Thai!)

Pattara Resort & Spa has truly been our relaxing , secluded place to stay in Phitsanulok.

I had one massage at the spa, which was pleasantly brutal and very relaxing.

We were surprised by the quality, workmanship, cleanliness both inside and outside on the balcony-hallway-walkway-stairway any way that you went it was clean and up to Building code as if you were in the USA, something you'd expect from a 5 star resort in a developed industrialized country, not in Rual Thailand, and not from a Natural Retreat as this hotel is positioning itself.

Stayed at the Pattara for two nights as a relaxing retreat at the end of a 10-day road journey.

This resort is a calm, relaxing escape from the streets of Phitsanulok.

Most Relaxing resort in Pisanulok; Variety of Choice for Breakfast and nice swimming pool overlook to the big pound.

The serenity at this place is extraordinary: sitting on the balcony or in the restaurant with a view of the lagoon is a very peaceful experience.

the receptionist drove us thru the resort and explained where what was.

All the staff of the hotel are very courteous and helpful.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, nice pool, staff were great and really helpful.

The staff were very good, we contacted reception during a thunder storm and umbrellas were bought to the room for us to get to the restaurant.

however one of the staff who spoke no English at all was able to calm my now hysterical boy and remove the splinter very patiently which was about an inch long.

but with an outdoor country feeling, my room was very comfortable with a nice vie of the pool and pond, be aware that with the outdoor setting and surrounded by water you will find lots of mosquitoes, service was excellent and all employees made the effort to communicate with you even if they do not speak english well.

the thai food we had for our first dinner was nicely cooked and served.

The food at the restaurant was reasonably good, with an OK Thai and Western selection.

Food was delicious with great selection of Thai and Western dishes.

The breakfast was very good with a large selection of Thai and Western foods.

You have to try the traditional Thai massage.

We went on a weekday so, No lines just a few other tables and a variety of Western and Thai offerings and yes Sushi for breakfast along with the usual porridge omelet to order, croissants  sourdough, etc they have it.

Prices are moderate (about 200 for a good Thai dish),

At dinner we went to the restaurant with our two older children and there was a nice selection of Thai and western food.

The buffet has a large variety of foods, plenty of fresh fruit, and both Thai and western hot dishes (including made to order eggs).

but then again I speak NO Thai at all, but are extremely helpful and efficient.

Thai people, just like most of South East Asia ones, are absolutely charming and do not hesitate to bend backwards to help you out.

We ate there for dinner one night, as the taxis were scarce during Songkran, it was ok.  We love big Thai flavours so hence we were a little disappointed.

The room was beautiful in a tasteful, spartan Thai sort of design.

The architectural style is modern, rather than the lanna style of the most elegant Thai resorts.

At night we had dinner at the restaurant and the food tasted great, both Thai and European.

But addressing my niggles would make for big improvements in my view.

we started the day with a wonderful view over a big pool and and a pond full of lotus flowers.

Our deluxe room was nice enough, comfortable, quiet and with a view of the pool and pond.

The rooms are very nice and comfortable with views of the ponds and pool.

Once stayed there, it was very impressive on the view at smimming pool & light especially in the evening.

Spacious room with a lovely view for those who’d love some time to relax in a beautiful garden and surroundings.

Its most impressive feature is its large lotus pond view surrounding the rooms and resorts.

There was a big veranda with a comfy sofa overlooking the pool area.

On the First Floor, the room has a large balcony with large daybed overlooking the pond.

very spacious, clean and modern with a huge bathroom, the infinity pool next to the lotus pond is so spot on, the grounds are absolutely stunning, staff  always ready to help and the breakfast good.

This is a very well designed hotel with the rooms weaving among the garden and from the rear opening to the full view of the swimming pool.

The one restaurant is good & also overlooks the lake.

however feels pretty small, and has no bedside tables -- where are guests supposed to put their glasses, book, water and whatever else?

The fridge has rust maks and water leaking.

We tried one evening for a meal, as a vegetarian I was offered spring rolls, eventually I got some tepid fried rice with a smattering of broccoli and carrot.

One dispappointment was outside tub which was have full of old water and was obviously not used often.

Otherwise it is the sound of water, birds and frogs.

Unfortunately, the water tap wasn't strong at all

just ask for another cup of hot water and mix it to make COFFEE.

but the servers do not seem to be attentive to Western needs for coffee and water.

We didn't see a single member of staff around the pool in 2 days, and guests had to ask for the towels to be replenished and for the water jets to be switched on.

Many reviews commenting on the green algae in the water areas around the premises is correct.

Note that the nearby street is busy from ca.

The pool is huge and looked like it had not been cleaned for awhile as the water was cloudy.

..I didnt use the swimming pool as despite their best efforts to clean it daily the water was always filmy and cloudy and an odd colour.

As mentioned in other reviews the hotel is arranged in four 2-story buildings around a large enchanted pond, full of water lilies.

Water, water everywhere flowing from above, below, and at your finger tips.

There are water features everywhere and the sound of running water is a constant.

So why not stay further out of town in a place like this, with ponds and water features, buildings in keeping with the central Thailand landscape, and (most importantly) peace and relaxation?

There are no electric plugs in the bathroom for hair drying  razor etc .the front desk staff were friendly as that is far as it goes .the breakfast ,I know know what one of the reviews were saying it was good!

but it was clean, the room service was good (although difficult to arrange as English was not always understood) and the staff were friendly.

Over all is very good services, including variety of breakfasts, nice , helpful and friendly staffs.

Comparisons aside, the hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful.

They were always friendly and attentive, from the entire front desk staff to the breakfast buffet to the hotel bar late at night.

All the staffs are very friendly and active.

The staff really are so very friendly and always on hand to help you.

We went for a walk around the night market, which wasn’t what we expected as half the stalls appear to be second hand clothes and shoes, interspersed with Thai food stalls, you can buy anything from an albino hedgehog to a fried scorpion snack.

Nice to be in a small town to have a walk round and look at what the locals are eating from the market stalls - didn’t try the scorpions.

It is tucked away on a side street a short walk from a night market.

To the central bus station : it's about 1,3km ; to Nan river, night market and “flying vegetables” less than 1km.

The "pool" which looked OK from a distance was green with algae and the walls a bottom were green a slippery.

We decided against using the pool, as there was feathers and bird mess in the water and what appeared to be a turd on the bottom of the pool and we weren’t prepared to take the risk of finding out if it was the case or not, although the pool does get cleaned early in the morning,

There were weeds everywhere, pavers were tuned over, pot plants fallen over, no where to sit and the pool water was milky with bird faeces and feathers floating in it

The pool area is small & not clean & is not an enjoyable to relax in.

Swimming pool area is rather small and squeezed between a wall and the main building.

Sometimes the bottom door leading to the pool and elevators was open and sometimes it was locked, and you had to walk around or walk up into the reception area.

Negative: pool has little room for guests and towels.
