the room clean, fast check in, friendly staff, easy to get food..beside hotel is kopi tiam, the hotel also close to mall Pekanbaru, I will try another Red planet hotel in my next business trip, like in Palembang and Solo.

It is within 5 mins (or less) walking distance to Mall Pekanbaru.

But somehow the electricity is quite hard to use, and I struggle much to charge my phone.

The negative about this hotel is no phone inside the room, so when you want to make a call for the reception, you have to go out side your room to use the phone located at the corridor.

There is also no telephone in the room, I think there’s one “shared” phone in the corridor.

We could not access the internet and had to go down to the Reception to inquire ( no telephone in the room).

The height of disappointment was that even a telephone was not inside the room which is a statutory requirement for an emergency!

The root cause of the above is obviously due to  ineffective training/systems/supervision.The plus point is that that room is clean ,well kept and equipped with a 32" flat TV & a fair amount of channels.No mini bar though.

this was my 1st stay in Red Planet Pekanbaru, and it's a very nice stay.. the service is good, cleanliness of the hotel, bedroom, and the bathroom are very good..

Definetely value for money for short business trip even though the room a bit small

small room with nothing inside, include no comb, toothbrush, shampoo, just put that 3in1 shower gel.

The minus one is the room is quite small.

Cons: Small room, you have only bed in the room with around a half meter clearance off the wall, felt like in prison.

A small room with a queen size bed, two water bottles were there and a bathing gel!

A perfume or some sort of air freshener would help alot.

but i pay more abouth Rp.288.000 because my room its smoking .

Smoking room was lacking a lot, and parking area is too narrow.

but on second night, there was a strong smoke smell coming in from ventilation.

Once I got smoking room, then I ask the reception, they help me to change to another non smoking room.

Since they not allow the visitor for smoke.

but do not take the smoking room on the highest floor at hotel cause very noisy at night. .

Need to pay extra almost 30 ribu for smoking room which was not stated during reservation.

all good, except. no slipper, bad satellite TV  signal, no upfront information about the smoking room which actually exist on the 8th floor (had to top up a bit for it)

Dirty Looked Towels, need to be replaced.

The bedsheet , pillow and towel odor a bit annoying.

two things to improve :  replacing the towel with the new one and need spacious parking space.

All thing is great, rather than just great it can be improved by cleaning the towels more or put it away if they are too dirty and stain are hard to be removed. Anyway, downtown are can be covered easily and they have old

Need to improve bathroom cleanliness, and towels are not good.

The first night, the towels I had were kinda old and yellowing

We could not find towels in the room & after talking to house keeping staff, they gave us one  towel & we had to talk another housekeeping staff  to get another towel 30 minutes later.

When check in found no towel the room and gave to go down to reception 2 times ( more than 29 minutes) before send towels to the room.

But this hotel desperately needs new towels!

However, I find some downside in which the towel provided look a bit dirty and has some stain on it.

There is a folding table,  a towel on the bed,  a hairdryer and  there is a soap and shampoo in the bathroom
After putting my stuff, I go down and look for a meal.

That's all they could provide and even the towels were worn out with a purple colour than the usual white.

The only awkward moment was the receptionist asked me to return the towel bag.

Stayed here for the first time with a colleague and was surprised to find such nice (almost) boutique hotel in such a small city.

The location is quite strategies in city center (intersection main road and Sumatra main road).

I have travelled for work to many cities in Indonesia and the quality of the room was great when compared to many of the like starred hotels I have stayed in over the years.

This mall had many branded store and it's really make me feel like I'm in Jakarta or the other Big City.

there's 2 lift inside, 1 definitely for passenger and the other one mixed with service and fireman lift, don't go to the service-fireman lift, as the door. .

- my room is like have thin wall i’m stay in 6th floor, I can hear noise of children nagging and crying either across the room or beside my room is quite stressful, the carpet is also quite damp i believe they need to change or either clean it well to restored the original color and odor!

The air from the air conditioner feels stale.

Due to design fault during construction of this property, the flooring in shower is so badly laid out that water does not flow towards the drain and as a result, water remains logged as much as all night or till room is next done up by housekeeping.

We realized when he came back from the kitchen, the box is melted, and it create bad smell.

If you don't want to be woken up by a loudspeaker between approximately 430 to 445 in the morning and lasting up to 30 minutes, ask for a room on the shopping side of the building.

The walls between the rooms are not very good because the noise from the next room is quite clear.

but the AC is rather hot at night and the fan makes a little bit sounds.

although the traffic might be a little bit congested, especially during weekend.

* you can hear the street noise if your room is facing the street (like mine) or the call of prayer in the morning.

And the round so noisy we can heard all the people activities like taking a shower, the flash of the toilet, the sound of hairdryer, people talking.

~from 5.15am the water pipes in my rooms kept running loudly so it was kinda hard to fall back to sleep
~didn't see the 2 complimentary water bottles on top of the minibar which looked hidden from view looking from the bed
