 - Dont be scared of the elevator, its a bit crammed
 - Just keep in mind that the elevator only fits 2 people which I heard is common in Paris.
 - but be warned if anyone suffers from fear of small spaces then the 1.2m x 0.75m lift will make their hair curl.

 - The hotel is air conditioned and has a small elevator.
 - The only not so great thing we remember was a ridiculously small elevator
 - The lobby is a little tired and the lift is tiny,
 - The small elevator adds to the charm of this hotel.
 - (details below) Additionally, the air conditioning worked great--even on the hottest summer day--and there is a very small lift (room for two people or a person and a couple suitcases) to help get suitcases to upper floors.

 - Hot and soft drinks + lovely cakes were available in the evenings in the communal area too.
 - Try it out when you visit Paris and you won’t be disappointed, they even offer tea, coffee, soft drinks and cakes in the fantastic breakfast/ lounge area for absolutely free.
 - The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and well appointed with a courtesy mini bar for soft drinks and the breakfast offers something for everyone.
 - Little extras like free soft minibar in our room and free afternoon soft drinks and snacks (available in other hotels of the same chain if we wanted).
 - Free coffee, water, soft drinks and small cakes offered every afternoon in the lobby was very appreciated.

 - And if walking is not your thing, there are many bus routes and metro stations nearby like Grands Boulevards and Cadet that can take you to your destination.
 - We wanted to see the Christmas window displays in Galleries Lafayette and Printemps and were were not disappointed, making several short walking trips there.
 - It is very well located to go everywhere walking.
 - It’s in a great location, five minute walk to the nearest Metro and within walking distance of great restaurants and just over a mile to Moulin Rouge.
 - The location of the hotel was fantastic, a short walk from the Opera area, and for going further we found the Metro Station Grands Boulevards just around the corner.

 - There was a minor problem with our room's door at first and the staff immediately offered to provide us with a different room without a second's thought.
 - There is no headboard and the doors SLAM constantly because they have automatic door closers (instead of soft close).
 - Only minor problem was the room doors that slammed quite a lot.
 - There are two sets of doors, both tripled glazed onto the street, so when closed both I heard nothing.
 - This led to the point where someone randomly entered our room whilst we were napping because the door was not functioning properly.

 - Walking distance to the museums.
 - Most Astotel hotels I stayed before were up north in the city and this one had a “downtown feel.” It was very close to museum Grevin, with walking distance to the department stores and many major sight seeing spots in the central area of the city.
 - Everyday our museum tickets were purchased at the front desk.
 - An easy walk to Le Marais, Montorgeuil, Pigalle, l'Opera, l'Ile de la Cite, and major museums.
 - A hearty walk down to the river and the several museums via the Opera house and interesting streets.

 - Good location close to Boulevards Hausmann and Lafayette, Opera Garnier, Gare du Nord and two metrolines (8 and 9, Grands Boulevards).
 - Walkable (15mins) from gare du nord and also took metro.
 - The hotel is in a decent location: approx 9EUR taxi from Gare du Nord - even walkable (15min) if you need to.
 - We walked from Gare du Nord with large suitcases and it was easy (20 minutes tops).

 - The location is fantastic and the view from our balcony was stunning - we could see the Eiffel Tower, Gardens and Louvre.
 - Hotel Brighton is located in the center of the 1st arrondissment and our room on the 3rd floor provided stunning views over the Tuilerie Gardens and over to the Louvre on one side and the Eiffel Tower to the other.
 - This is a lovely hotel right across from the Tuileries garden, so it's a great location.
 - Easy walk through the Tuileries gardens to the Louvre.

 - The spread was excellent having, fruits, yogurt, cold cuts and various bread and pastries.
 - but these are difficult to find, and we had a private air conditioned car (the only time I was cold in Paris lol) for 70 euro.
 - It was cold and still in the black plastic plates.
 - The breakfast buffet is a bargain at €22- nothing like starting your day with country breads & pastry, eggs, bacon ,sausage & a truly European cold cut spread like you have never seen.
 - but the selection of items, both hot and cold, were limited compared to a very large hotel such as the Westin nearby where we had previously stayed.

 - My room was facing the city, on Rue de Rivoli right directly onto Le Jardin des Tuileries, with unobstructed views of the Eifel tower, the Musée d'Orsay and the Louvre.
 - This is a lovely hotel situated in a fantastic location with extraordinary views from the rooms overlooking the Jardin des Tuileries, including the Tour Eiffel, Les Invalides, Musee D’Orsey and of course the Louvre.
 - With views of the Jardin des Tuileries and the Eiffel Tower, the room is exactly as shown in the hotel website, spacious and thoughtfully furnished and accessorized.
