No coffee in the room, then charging me for a cup to go, is also a pet peeve of mine.

but it was so problem and we were not charged for it!

All my guests took a card and said they would come back there if they need to stay in Paris.

but afterwards checked hotel website directly and was the same price so wish I had booked directly on their own website (booking was made within 7 days of arrival so would have been charged by booking.com to cancel)

The only problem we had was when we checked out they nearly charged us for the breakfast buffet and using the sauna and steam room.

We returned late one evening with a bottle of wine, I requested a bottle opener, they took our bottle, we went to our room and 2 minutes later the wine arrives in an ice bucket with two glasses and a bowl of nuts and olives ( no charge ) Now that is service.

One point to note is that if the hotel order a fixed rate taxi for you that you confirm this with the taxi as we got to the airport to find we were charged more than the original quote which was a bit annoying.

We are from NYC and we totally forgot to bring the outlet converter to charge our cameras, the front desk staff had every converter you can imagine.

The minor one was I felt the breakfasts were a little ‘lightweight’ for the price guests pay within their room charge.

but upon arriving at the hotel the staff phoned them and it turned out the taxi company had a mix up and the staff arranged with them to pick us up for our departure free of charge!!

(note: they do not pre authorise a card or anything, they make you feel at home and you pay on check out - a real plus)
We stayed in the Musee D'Orsay room and it was perfect.

There is NO CHARGE to change rooms so take advantage!

but it is pretty sad when you know that is why they charge so much, for a few extra bits of plastic and wood put up to look like a monument.

I had forgotten that the cost was not included and there was no reminder anywhere in the dining room that there was a charge.

but we were not notified someone would be in our room and we did not know there was a problem with the bath, he also used our iphone charger to charge his phone whilst he was fixing the bath.

This hotel was well decorated, well run and the breakfast was excellent.

The concept is really different and the design amazing.

Everything is amazing at the hotel: rooms are very clean and stylish, sauna and steam room are really great for a hotel and you can have it 24/7!

The whole hotel had a wonderful ambiance and was beautiful-we loved hearing about the concept and the history.

We received an outstanding welcome on our arrival by pre-booked taxi from the Gare de Lyon for one night.

The location was great for getting around the city with a choice of Metro stations and  plenty of cafe’s bars and restaurants nearby. Lovely little place to share some secrets too :)

There are tons of restaurants closeby plus the metro etc.

They recommended excellent French restaurants (such as the Bouillon Pigalle).

loved the bath, and the bedroom decor.the sound proofing ( room was right opposite a busy restaurant) is top class, didnot hear anything and slept really well.

We ate a few times at an authentic Italian restaurant named Caratello nearby (10 min walk),

Our room was lovely, clean and serviced on a daily basis; it was great to have a jacuzzi in our en suite.

The rooms are all so unique and well thought out and feature all the amenities that you'd want!

but can not believe the reviews are so positive, it might be unique but totally impractical, we moved to a more central location, to a cheaper room without the glass toilet after one night.

Really tiny rooms for price and location..exception was the Atelier d'artiste room,
The cleanliness was not great.

but do not forget (as I did) that the cost is not included in your room fee - it is an additional 18 Euros per person, which is quite pricey if all you have is coffee and a piece of bread with cheese.

When you pay 250 there is little room for disappointment.

The wardrobe is tiny, bedside tables tiny, no view from the window, the bath shower and toilet is all in one that is tiny too and the lighting is not great, I cannot even put my make up on because it was so dim !

There were small mirrors on the ceiling which probably wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

The hotel is very unique with its decor -

Everything seems to have been carefully designed to maximize space, comfort, affordable high quality, all this with humor.

Big bed, light show technology :) and a lot of artworks.

but so stylish and comfortable (you can even customize the color of your shower, from the colors of a rainbow).

I was blown away by the efficiency from design to people.

All spaces are stylish and well appointed.

The rooms are so modern with different kind of art.

but the views, art, people tell you that you're in a new locale.

Controlling the colors in the bathroom was fun.

The interior of the hotel is very nice and has an inviting feeling to it.

The bathroom and toilet is also not private at all, so you need to know the person you are travelling with, else it could be embarrassing :D
So I would definitely recommend if you are travelling as a couple or solo, exceptional staff, nice atmosphere and great location.

+ We loved our stay and the style of the hotel.Bed was very comfy and changing  light in the shower is cool.

From the stylish entrance, great ambiance, food and drink with exceptionally helpful staff and a room that met our evey need we really couldn't ask for more and will most definetely be returning again one day soon.

On the morning of checkout, we easily walked to the Gare de Lyon train station, where we caught the Trenitalia Train to Milan.

The location next to Gare de Lyon greatly facilitated arrival from the airport and departure to Switzerland, as well as inter-city travel.

Recommend CitizenM Gare de Lyon to single or couple travellers who like a friendly hotel with excellent common spaces.

It's location next to the Gare de Lyon, combined with the comfort of the accommodation make it the perfect place to spend the night before continuing teh journey.

We thought the Gare de Lyon station would make it easier to get around.

Highly recommend the CitizenM Paris Gare de Lyon for a short term visit of Paris as it is located near metro so most destinations are within reach.

Very convenient for public transport and less than 10 minutes walk to the tracks of Gare de Lyon station.

Location at Gare de Lyon is optimal for a city trip.

Location is right at Gare De Lyon, easy access to train, bus, metro and very close to Sein river.

Close to a nearby car park and Gare de Lyon station, very convenient for metro travelling.

The location is right next to the Gare de Lyon station, meaning that if you want to go to Disneyland, you just take a quick 2-minute walk down to the station, purchase your tickets to the station next to Disney (yes, you can opt for an English menu), and hop on the train!

The hotel could not be more convenient to Gare de Lyon.

A pet peeve in almost all hotels is the near impossibility of figuring out which to turn on hot or cold and the overhead shower vs the hand shower with most of them resulting in your getting scalded or wet when you least expect it.

Timing was bad too as there was a failure in water heating system and there was no hot water during peak hours of the day.

but for two nights there was no hot water - I was told to move rooms which took considerable effort but it still didn’t work.

The room can be more homely if there is a kettle for a hot cup of tea.

- No hot water in room, Have to go down to 1F just for taking a hot water.

- The pillows are too soft (not good for the cervicals)
- The front door of the room was difficult to open
- Too often loss of synchronization between the TV and iPad (I even had to unplug the TV to reboot it)
- Hot chocolate too much sweet. .

Also, this is the only hotel we stayed in without a hot pot for water or tea.

The only thing that bothered us was that we had to pay extra for breakfast and there was no way to boil hot water in the room.

There is no coffee or way to make any hot drinks in the room.

The food at breakfast was predominantly continental with only three items on the menu served hot (potatoes, streaky bacon and scrambled eggs),

Bed was comfortable

 · A/C was not powerful and it was very hot and claustrophobic in the room.

Despite the beautiful decoration, there was no hot water in the hotel at the morning.

Tip: your room settings default to "no maid service", with a donation of 3.5 euros being made to a charity.

Despite ticking the required options the App for the room to be cleaned, no cleaner turned up unless specifically requested at reception on the day.

the tv was not working, they didn't clean our room during our stay, the blind was broken and when we asked to fix it, they reply "we do not have a technical service today and it is impossible to change the room as we are fully booked, sorry".

Cleaning of the rooms should be done daily without having to request for it.

But business services is very poor, no water in the room (have to ask 5 times to get some), no cleaning after meal, no explanation for using the technology, people aren't reactive.

We had a small cleaning problem in our room, which unfortunately was not resolved.

Doors are too loud, cleaning service should be more flexible.

but do not hear anything from the street, but sometimes I hear noisy from other rooms, or room above me, especially when the housekeeper is making the room.

But for the price I thought that the cleaning was included!

though I didn't understand their concept about giving to charity by not having the room cleaned, so we opted out - it was too vague: where the money goes to and how much is donated.

Cutlery looked soiled and not well cleaned.

Firstly the room was really dirty, the bedding had hair in it, the bathroom had hair on the floor and everything had a layer of dust on it, just didn’t feel like it had been cleaned.

It was not so clean, even if the cleaning was done every day.

Apart from minor issues with housekeeping (forgot our room one day) we had an amazing stay.

The Location was perfect for us to catch an early train the next morning.

The hotel's position is very good you can reach principal monuments by walking in a few minutes and spend extra work time in pleasure sites.

Good location, with bus stop right outside and a pedestrian passageway to the railway station right beside the front door.

First stay at a CitizenM hotel and we were very impressed with the helpful staff, the comfortable and clean room which had easy to use controls, as well as the location of the hotel.

Location is next to the metro (line 1, 14)

Also the location for the CitizenM is amazing most things are in walking distance & if not the Gard De Lyon station was less an a minute way to get around.

On the flip side, the location is excellent.

* Hotel door does not block a lot of sound, you hear a lot of noise through it.

The toilet, on the other hand, was a bit small, my knees knocked against the door.

When I twice dropped the soap I seriously hit my head on the sharp door handle on the way up.

And this was the only hotel we have ever stayed in that asked you to leave your door key card at reception when going out. Why?

I do not find this satisfactory compensation for not having a functioning door lock.

Lift very slow, the front door is automatic

My door did not open due to a failed mechanism.

In fact, I had to carry the chair from the desk to the front door of the room so that I could sit and work on my laptop to get a good signal.

The door of our room actually has a small gap between the door and floor.

Wall was thin paper, It easy to hear TV sound from next door, of course conversation are.

Staff: "Yes, go ahead, the door us unlocked"

although there is airconditioning we chose to sleep with the french doors wide open and the conditioner off.
