One night the room door got jammed and the keycard didn't work and the hotel staff acted as if we didn't know how to use the card.

They charge deposit and you will have to communicate with differnet group of teams by email to get it back.

He says that it was just a mistake and the card wasn’t meant for us.

Just imagine they charge for water @6-8 euros for bottle to be provided in the room through housekeeping and room service. Pathetic!

ALSO, before I forget, I was charged an excess of $900 on my credit card despite only having and being charged for about $200 in incidentals.

It’s unacceptable that they can’t provide commercial invoice and we paid almost 2000€

Lifts are operated by your room key which stopped working throughout our visit so we couldn’t use the lift until reception had checked our card

Housekeeping unplugged my travel power-board for charging my devices and removed the plug from the wall which was very annoying.

We finally were relieved that the issue was settled at check-out and we didn't incur any additional room charges.

but when I had asked for some decorations in the room to surprise my wife, they charged me 60 Euros for some flowers, balloons and macaroons.

but I don't expect this at a hotel charging close to $500 per night.

We booked a 2 night stay at the hotel so everything was pre-paid before we arrived, when we came to check in they wanted €906 as a deposit for the room so I had to give them my bank card to take this payment.

And everything wrapped up with us being charged twice for the stay.

They charged the entire amount of the stay (over $1,000) on the credit card right away.

I still don’t know whether that is an Amex issue or a hotel one,

We gave the hotel a second chance and stayed with them on our last night in Paris, they promised to resolve everything that was wrong by way of a credit with ACCOR or discount across the entire accommodation,

Only real negatives where I had to call for towels twice and got charged $5 to rent an ice bucket.

However, nearly 2 months after my stay my Visa card was suddenly charged again for €600.00.

You pay over $600 in one night hotel and there is no  security in the lobby.

but quite expensive and the breakfast was overcrowded with people could not move.

the only negative was the slightly confusing room rate and bill.

Secondly, we asked for a wine opener and they said we either take our bottle down to the bar to open, or we pay guest services for one. Imagine!

(However be careful bc they do have lots of hidden fees, for mediocre food when you receive your check.)

The amount did total the security deposit or the cost of the overall stay.

I did feel it was overpriced for what you get, cereal, fruit, eggs, different teas, water.

At  there rates it absolutely was not the experience I was expecting.

but there is little attention paid to the guest experience.

Only marking down a star for the dinner at the restaurant on the first night, the food was below average and very expensive.

but I think a tad overpriced for the overall quality of our room.

Husband booked this as an anniversary surprise, given the price we were extremely disappointed.

They are a  tourist trap complete rip off.

The rooms are not cheap and are around 600 Euro per night or AUD 1,000 which did not include breakfast.

We strongly complained, and finally they said we'd get rooms as soon as they were available, and they 'graciously' allowed us to eat breakfast - which we had already paid for anyway with our reservation!

The hotel just seems to be a commercial money, making building with no sympathy for tourists, putting their time in money into affording their expensive rooms.

And the bar……each night, we would pop in for an after dinner drink at 11 pm.

The location is next to the Eiffel Tower, plenty of restaurants and shops in the area.

We took the free upgrade because we were running out of time as we had a dinner reservation scheduled,

But the selection was enormous and everyone could find something to eat no problem.

We didn’t eat here or got to the bay on level 10.

Also really close to Le Pont de Dir-Hakeim Bridge where we had to meet for a dinner cruise along the Seine.

The concierges that we spoke with were great and recommended wonderful restaurants that were walking distance.

Go 100 Mrs down the road and there are some nice restaurants and easy on the wallet.

The location was an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower and lots of restaurants just around the corner.

Staff had helpful suggestions on where to eat and couldn’t have done enough to make the stay better.

This was returned swiftly upon leaving though

There is a restaurant attached, we ordered once, waited half hour for 2 bottled drinks which never arrived, walked out and didn’t return

The restaurant was amazing and a shout out to Celine and Christoph… and another amazing waiter whose name starts with an M

I particularly want to note the Room Service provided by Abderkahjane.

And location was more than perfect for walking cabs restaurants etc.

Plenty of options in the breakfast buffet, the pastries were lovely and the service from the waitors in the restaurant was good.

The food was excellent and the prices were good.

Also enjoyed going to the restaurant bar for a late night drink.

It was a dream as soon as I entered the Pullman, my first time in Paris for my birthday, I couldn’t of asked for a more special place than the Pullman, food delish, rooms beautiful and most of all the extra details from all of the staff, 

Paris will also be my hometown and I am a New York….

You can eat right on Rue Cler or on one of the other streets in the area.

It is within walking distance of the Rue Cler which is a wonderful area to explore.

although there is construction across the street, that can be noticed at times.

Across the Place, there was construction of a new multi-story building, so noise was a problem between around 8am to 5pm approx.

There was construction going on, so the small square facing the hotel was quite noisy at times.

The bedroom overlooked the opera area which is sadly under construction on the lower level

One thing it was not good is the front of the hotel(^_^;)It was middle of construction

but had wished they warned us about the construction.

The nearest metro station (Richelieu Drouot) was closed for construction,

The issue that compromised our stay was the construction.

My only complaint was that there was some hideous construction going on nearby that woke everyone up at 8 am with earth shattering crashing,

It's a rare thing, so imagine how disappointing it was on our 2 night stay in Paris, one of the few times we might have actually been able to sleep past 6:30am, to be woken up at 8am sharp by loud construction.

There was some construction going on out in front of the hotel during our visit, which made for a less than spectacular building facade and entrance,

but the sidewalk is still cut up, so I suspect there may be follow-on construction at a later date.

Would have been very quiet if not for the noise of road construction -no fault of hotel!

It spoilt breakfast having a pneumatic drill about 2 foot away from you and the noise was deafening.

I loved that they kept the original ceiling wool construction and just painted to match the interior.

There was some construction noise in the morning from an adjacent building and they play music in the hallways almost 24 hours a day it seemed.

I had a super comfortable bed, a luxurious bath tub, impeccable & friendly service, tasty breakfast, beautiful interior decor throughout the hotel, with a fabulous location to explore Paris.

Fantastic little boutique French hotel with a great location, Louve museum 15 mins, ritz 18 mins and Eiffel Tower 45 mins all by foot plenty of restaurants around the hotel for food also

We will definitely return, hopefully soon, as the hotel is so central to everywhere we wanted to visit and close to some very good restaurants.

Location is excellent and quiet yet just minutes walk from cool bars and restaurants.

Maison Favart is in fantastic location easily walkable to the Opera and Galeries Lafayettte and so many fantastic restaurants close by.

Fifteen minutes walk down to the Louvre and many good restaurants close by.

Breakfast was straightforward with decent selection of food options.

Freddie, the Concierge, was very helpful in directing us to places to go and the best food.

And we enjoyed the breakfast she prepared for us, plus the lovely terrace where we ate.

We skipped the breakfast because there were many cafes in walking distance for a coffee and croissant.

Walking distance to many brassieres and restaurants.

They have lovely breakfast if you choose and cocktails in the after/evening.

Only a small hotel which was nice and the staff are exceptional, very helpful, they made restaurant reservations for us as the hotel does not have a restaurant for the evenings and booked taxis etc etc, really very helpful.

The staff were very helpful and gave great recommendations for dining in the local area.

They also operate an honesty bar in the evenings with a good choice of wines, beers, etc.

The concierge and reception helped us find some very special restaurants and also assisted us with routes and transport.

The concierge is great with recommendations for restaurants and car service.

but would instead stay somewhere more reasonable, maybe on Rue Cler.

Cons were that two of our rooms were quite small, the lift could be slow to arrive, and there was some kind of strong perfume in the lobby most days.

although rooms are a little small, the facilities and team are amazing.

The room was small and the balcony view was the wall of another building, so we didn’t use it.

I will say the rooms are a bit small by American standards,

As the floor space in the room is compromised by the main stairwell, we did find the shower room particularly small so perhaps ask for another room if space is an issue.

The fitness room is very basic - no hand weights, the room was on the small side and the air con wasn't up to much, so we wouldn't recommend staying there in the height of summer.

Our room was very small and definitely did not have a King size bed as advertised for all rooms.

but I we picked a small room since we were moving around town.

That being said, the room was very small, barely holding a queen side bed.

We enjoyed the breakfast in the restaurant every morning with beautiful Eiffel Tower view.

The location is great and very accessible and a great cafe attached!

Great location for visiting the Eiffel Tower, Louvre museum, royal palaces, and great restaurants.

Lovely bathroom too and a powerful, hot, shower 

Lots of restaurants nearby and right across the road from the metro.

The morning breakfast in the cafe was an absolute delight.

The local eating options are plentiful and the location is perfect for days of sight-seeing.

Had a late lunch at the cafe next door was it was really good.

Sitting in front  in the little cafe with the view!!! Amazing!!

There are plenty of restaurants close by and the walk to Eiffel Tower is 10 minutes.

I ate the best croissant of my entire life at this location.

but that was perfect because la comtesses location is central to plenty of dining and small deli type markets.

The gentleman in the dining room and the one at the front desk were very helpful in recommending restaurants and helping with reservations.

Awesome location for the Eiffel Tower, shopping, cafes and restaurants.

The neighbourhood seemed very safe with 2-3 cafes and a metro station within a one to two minute walk.

Incredibly nice young lady checked us in, provided directions to walk to Rue Cler full of amazing local restaurants, bakeries, and shops.

Also, a 5 min walk to Rue Cler Market street with a ton of restaurants and boulangeries which we would recommend stopping by and exploring.

The Area surrounding the Hotel is recommended, especially the Rue Cler.

The location of the hotel is near several bus lines, a metro stop, minutes walk to ET and Rue Cler.

The hotel itself is perfectly located in a quiet neighbourhood 2 mins round the corner from the nearest metro station, making it convenient to explore the rest of Paris, and is a few minutes walk from the famous Rue Cler which has plenty shops, cafes, patisseries and restaurants.

The hotel is centrally located and close to major areas like the Eiffel Tower, the Army Museum/ Napoleon's Tomb,  the Rodin Museum, Park Champ de Mars and Rue Cler.

Champs de Mars, Rue Cler, Metro, Les Ivalides we’re within a couple blocks.

The hotel is located in a great area convenient to sites like the Eiffel Tower, Rue Cler, the Army Museum, Napoleon’s Tomb, and the Rodin Museum.

Located in the wonderful Rue Cler neighborhood and close to the metro.

If you are staying at this hotel, take a walk to Rue Cler (2 min walk), pedestrian street with lots to see, and lots of fresh foods, bread, chocolates etc.

Close to Rue Cler, Relias, Champ De Mars, Le Bourdannais.

Once in your life, stay there and get a frontal Eiffel Tower View, eat on La Rue Cler and savor an amazing breakfast looking out at the Eiffel Tower!

It's  also close to Rue Cler,  a pedestrian street with cafes, restaurants & shops that the locals frequent.

Bus stop, metro and  Rue Cler Market were just a few walks from the Hotel, or even we could walk to Champ de mars to get closer to the Eiffel Tower.

Rue Cler is just a couple of blocks over, which is where we went for breakfast most mornings at Cafe Central.

The rooms are small even by Paris standards.

Hotel was better in the pictures, rooms were tiny, not the cleanest hallways or rooms.

Compared to American hotels, the room was a little small,

While some might think the rooms are small, the size is typical of Paris.

The only complaint I would have is the rooms are way too small

I enjoyed my stay (wasn't prepared for the tiny room)

Hotel La Comtesse

The hotel kept the our entire payment for our three-night stay and would not allow us a credit.

The last day we were charged for the full breakfast instead of the buffet, other than that, we had a very good time.

For security reasons the hotel and houses had turned off all the lights in the street the hotel was in we went back still cars burning in the area we we were faced with another charge and CS gas was deployed over towards the park my eyes started to smart in the ensuing chaos I couldn’t find the hotel in the dark it was very scary indeed.

The negative - An extra charge for breakfast (15 euro per person) so we didn't eat there.

Other notes:
The hotel keys are not electronic swipe cards that I have been used to.

They gave me a "deal" by "only" charging me equivalent of $6 per day.

Lo and behold, that afternoon we checked (using our smartphone), and we were already charged.

We were disappointed that there was a daily charge for a crib.

The only drawback for such a nice hotel was they charged for Wifi.

The mini bar was extremely expensive, a small orange juice cost 6 euros and they make sure to charge for every one.

Charging 10 euros for the WiFi was a downer,

We have stayed at hotels all over France and Europe (including Paris) and have never experienced this hidden charge before.

However, I was trying to conduct business with the states and was charged 10 euro a night for wi fi connection.

Firstly I got double withdrawal from my card for one night rate guarantee.

At any rate, upon check out I noticed our bill included the wrong room charge and the full breakfast charge (25 Euros per person).

It is also the first time in ages that I have had a room with a physical key rather thean a key card - a sign of it's age / timelessness (depending on your view).

There were no hidden charges or surprises upon checkout.

My only criticism is the €10 charge for wifi.

When we checked out, we were charged 5 euros for this 15 min.

The Mayfair hotel was in the middle of some exterior renovations while we were there , which woke us up early every morning.The WI_FI connextion was charged at 70 euros a week ,

In regards to the breakfast, it does have cold breakfast layout with the option of ordering an egg dish by request (included in the room rate with breakfast daily option).

Two more side notes, the taxi fare to and from the CDG airport is a set price at roughly 60 euros.

On behalf of Hotel Mayfair, she informed us that they would not refund our +$1,000 USD for our two rooms, clearly letting us know that they would rather greatly profit on the backs of pandemic victims for no services rendered.

but i think it was a bit over prices and it really annoyed me that you "had" to leave your key in the reception when you left and even though they changed staff in the lobby you could just say a number and get a key.

Nightly prices can often be found for less than $200, unheard of for 4 star hotels in Paris.

although it was expensive it was worth every penny .

On the downside, the rooms felt a little tired and could do with a facelift (particularly for what we paid to stay there).

With an extremely attractive room rate for a five-star location, we wouldn't let some construction sounds as the floor above was renovated bother us.

I forgot my expensive scarf in my room which I noticed after check-out.

Didnt have breakfast as i thought it was a bit pricey for one person and there are lots of Patisseries and Boulangeries locally to eat at.

For the price of the hotel, it should have been included for free.

For dinner, there are not many decent, moderately priced restaurants nearby.

but this is Paris

The room did not have a view - think the hotel could have painted a mural of the Eiffel Tower as would have been a nice touch

The breakfast is expensive for what you get so Best to put your walking shoes on and start your day at one of the many cafes

These eggs had to be ordered and paid for extra which I didn't mind.

The bathrooms have the tiniest slivers of soap,the rooms have no mini bars or tea and Coffee facilities which cost nothing and give the impression of a degree of mean spiritedness under the guise of cost saving.

The breakfast can be very expensive (50 euro for the "buffet" breakfast).

We stayed here are last night in Paris after a stay at a quaint mid priced hotel in Saint Germaine.

The location of the hotel is nice since many shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

The hotel itself, the rooms, the food, the staff, everything was just perfect!

If you need a larger restaurant there is a great Café just next door.

It was in a quiet street within walking distance of a few restaurants that mostly were always busy and you needed a booking.
