Fabulous setting, upgraded to a superior room with harbour view, more money

Their own beach at low tide & access to river swimming was a nice touch & early morning by car you can be on the local beaches for sunrise within 7 minutes.

The hotel is beautiful with lovely views across the bay.

Very clean room overlooking harbour ( 213) quiet, comfy bed.

Breakfast was enjoyable too and the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere with lovely views over the harbour also.

In the charming waterside town of Falmouth overlooking the harbour and sea, this marvelous hotel is a sanctuary.

Our room had a stunning view over the harbour and boats.

The room had a view overlooking the bay which is amazing to see during the day and stunning at night when all of the lights come on.

We had a table by the window with stunning views out over the harbour. Perfect!

Room wonderful with great views of the harbour and the food was exceptional.

Every single member of staff seemed focussed on our comfort and enjoyment; our room with its view of the harbour was perfect; the food was wonderful (again) and the location a short walk from the town was ideal for our short stay.

The restaurant where we sat, had great views overlooking out to  the harbour.

We had a harbour facing balcony room and the views were the reason why we booked this hotel.

It’s a beautiful location and we thoroughly enjoyed our view overlooking the harbour.

This hotel is well situated for Falmouth and has a prime location view over the bay.

Breakfast in the morning surrounded by the harbour view was the cherry on top. Perfect.

It's worth paying a bit extra for a room upgrade, we  went for a deluxe harbour view and it was stunning.

Our room had the most stunning view of the harbour and very spacious.

We arrived & was greeted by a lovely lady on the front desk, who said we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a superior room….wow wow wow, what an amazing room, with the most amazing views across the harbour from a large bay window, just beautiful (thank you).

Ate to the Working boat as I had my dog with me, the food was great and superb value.

however you can eat with pup on the terrace (beautiful views) plus there is an indoor wing available & also food is served in their the Working Boat waterside bar which was perfect, informal & with lovely surroundings.

Breakfast was delicious, relaxing setup with all food served to the table, we could watch the boats go by while eating lovely food.

We enjoyed a romantic meal downstairs in the boat pub and the food was delish!

We had a roast In the working boat on the day we arrived which was absolutely fantastic, a relaxed atmospheric and a superb roast.

We arrived just after 12 and found a space and confirmed with reception that this was OK. We then enjoyed a beer in The working boat and took a stroll through Falmouth and back again.

The suite comes with a huge bath in your room, lounge area, separate bathroom and balcony to sit out on watching the boats sailing by!

If we had stayed a further night we would have eaten in The Working Boat pub (part of the hotel) to get a different menu or eaten out at one of the many restaurants in Falmouth.

The Working Boat pub downstairs is more lively if that’s what you are looking for.

From the switched on team in the Working Boat, to the cocktail team on Saturday night.

The breakfast was very good and the food in hotel's pub, The Working Boat was exceptional,  the biggest crab that I've ever eaten!

After dinner we relaxed in the bar and enjoyed a post dinner drink looking out over the harbour with lights twinkling from the docks and boats.

Although we did not have
dinner in the main restaurant during our 3 night stay,we had a meal in the pub, 
The Working Boat which was good.

Over our 5 nights stay we used the restaurant twice for dinner and The Working Boat once for a family dinner (8 of us).

The theme of quality extends to the embedded Working Boat pub.

Everything about our stay was superb - all the staff were exceptionally helpful and food in both The Working Boat and the Waters Edge Restaurant was excellent.

We tried the working boat for the first time so the dog could come to dinner and we were blown away - amazing food and drinks at a very reasonable price.

I would certainly stay again, great location, a boat trip to Helston river is a must, or just sit and watch the boats.

There was building work during our visit (which we were unaware of before arrival) which probably took the shine off the stay, and some of the corridor areas are bordering on shabby.

We were impressed by the number of hand sanitiser stations throughout the hotel and the management of foot traffic through narrow corridors.

The carpet in the corridors was badly stained and should be replaced.

Whilst it does claim to have soundproofed rooms you can hear people moving around upstairs or in the corridor.

The building is old and has narrow corridors, etc

but they gave us an extra fan and as soon as you turn the corridor the WiFi no longer exists.

but the staff provided fans.Lots of seagulls hanging about.The rugs in the hallways are stained.

It even has a pub in the basement that serves unique Ales, accessed via a stair case from the hotel corridor!

The same goes for the elevator and corridors of the hotel.

I have only once found a single bed in a single room, I usually find a  beautifully presented double,  The massive job of recarpeting the corridors is  is coming on apace.

However, there were plenty of times staff were gathered and gossiping in public areas and on one occasion a bar man from the pub came running out of the steps into the hallway and nearly bowled us over without a second glance.

The building itself is old and charming with narrow corridors.

On Saturday afternoon one of the rooms on the floor above us had a flood & this resulted in buckets being placed in the corridor which we had to navigate over in order to get to and from our room.

Filthy shower (pics), stale danish at breakfast, threadbare carpets, rippling (trip hazard) carpets, stale biscuits, open milk, mouldy shower base, cold water in the tea pot, supermarket sausage, hair in the mushrooms, workmen complaining openly, stained/grimy fire doors, stale air in corridors, dirty towels (and not enough).

The corridors are quite quaint, along with the wondering carpet.

Subsequently we could hear EVERYTHING: from someone putting their glass down upstairs to someone’s conversation down the hall.

The lobby is in need of refurbishment as are the corridors leading to the rooms.

I've read other comments on here regarding the corridors and the decor however don't let this put you off, yes there are a lot of corridors

The hotel foyer needs some updating and because it's an old building, the hotel corridors are narrow and not helped by the obligatory fire doors; 

We slept with the louvre doors open all night, something we love to do if poss in summer.

The hotel is ideally situated, a short walk to the shops, museum and other amenities.

Maritime Museum within walking distance & well worth a visit.

Views are beautiful looking left to Flushing, straight ahead out to the breakwater & right towards the town with the Maritime Museum in sight.

I recommend the seafood ‘nero’ linguine it was delicious.easy walk into town and the reception organised a taxi to go to the maritime museum for us .

It was easy walking distance from the town center, and to many of the sights -- I walked to the maritime museum and Pendennis castle from there.

Easy walk into Falmouth town centre, make sure you visit the Maritime Museum .Underground parking so park your car safely and enjoy the car free visit.We were lucky to have exceptional view's of the river from our room ,well worth the money.

Short walk to Market/High Street and Nat'l Maritime Museum.

There are wonderful views from the hotel and it is well situated for the town and local amenities such as boat trips and the Maritime museum.

Arrived here after a visit to the Maritime Museum for an afternoon tea with family.

but as the room was close to street level it was thus quite noisy. Also, you could hear every (!)

We stayed at the lookout suite, after leaving the lugger down at Portloe due to horrendous staff attitudes and we were lucky to find a one night gap here.

however we were not disturbed by any noise at all even when we had the balcony door open.

The sounds of Falmouth winding down after a bustling summer's day on our balcony was something to remember.

Was a little bit noisy at bedtime due to a wedding

Only a small niggle which I mentioned on the feedback form, is the radiator despite being turned off made a humming noise all night.

The mattress on our bed was mainly all springs; every time we moved in the night it made so much noise!

After a difficult start where we had to move rooms due to noise below, we had a wonderful stay.

The windows definitely need changing as they are very old, single glazing and difficult to open/close, letting a lot of air and noise in.

Woken every morning by delivery men, enjoying a chatter under the window!

However, third warning is the noise of the traffic outside was terrible from 6am-7pm.

however the noise from the music downstairs underneath us didn’t stop until 12am and then restarted at 7am.

Street views which sometimes got a bit loud at night

Our room was red hot when we arrived, we couldn't have the window open due to the noise of the road and people returning from their night out.

but not the end of the world
The main issue with with room 204 is that it is directly above the main hotel entrance so we had a lot of noise for the majority of our time there.

Our room was about 5 feet away from the lift and unfortunately every time the lift came up we were woken up.

We travelled with a dachshund & she was made very welcome, the main restaurant does not allow dogs

Every meal we ate left us looking forward to the next!

The food was tasty with a good selection, and the bedroom was very smart with an excellent range of in-room beverages.

but the views from the restaurant across the Fal estuary were stunning.

Ate in restaurant same evening, food delicious waiting staff attentive without being intrusive.

The hotel location is a bit remote, you have to walk 15-20 minutes into town / to restaurants,

Service, staff, food and cocktails were all 5 stars!

The corn fed chicken is a must when visiting.

Head Chef Bobby Southworth and his team did us proud the food was fantastic, guests commentated that it was the best wedding food they had tasted.

The Green Bank Hotel in Falmouth is just a superb location with wonderful attentive staff and great food.

We had delicious cocktails in the bar served by Rea and then had a beautiful, cooked to perfection, three course dinner overlooking the water.

Very accommodating, the food was amazing and we had the most beautiful wedding.. highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Assuredly this restaurant team and kitchen brigade are hugely competent.

We enjoyed room service dinner and breakfast and the food was 5*!

We also ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night and it was an amazing meal and service was too class.

After check in we had a couple of hours on the terrace of the waters edge hotel restaurant- it was delicious!

The view from the room and it’s balcony are beautifully picturesque.

Stayed your 7 nights in a deluxe sea view room and wasn’t disappointed as could hear the sea from balcony, the room was well equipped and staff excellent would definitely recommend,the breakfast was excellent

If you can a harbour view room, the views are stunning, fabulous sunrises.

The Rooms overlooking the harbor were clean, fresh and welcoming.

I had a harbour facing room with spectacular views.

The function room overlooks the River Fal- simply stunning!

Utterly fabulous huge harbourside sea view room with a lovely card and bottle of fizz in the room.

We had a really comfortable harbour view room.

The view from our room was fabulous, the food was excellent and the staff were fantastic.

Our harbour view room was lovely; very comfortable and spacious.

I had a room overlooking the estuary which is a splendid view and I even managed a couple of quick morning dips in the harbour.

The view from our harbour facing room was one of the highlights of our stay.

Had a superior harbour view room this time, really very good, helped by good weather.

Staff super attentive & all areas beautifully presented.

I trust the Directors of this hotel recognise what an important contribution the staff are making to the success of their hotel.

The staff were professional, helpful and friendly.

Immediately it was obvious that this establishment provided immaculate service and friendly staff.

but the interior decoration and finish throughout was to a very high standard ; our room was beautifully decorated with a large TV; the en suite was exceptional standard; particular credit should go the staff, who were all excellent and obviously well trained in giving  high level customer service; if you are looking for a quality break in Falmouth we would recommend this hotel and will be returning ourselves.

The staff are so well trained and nothing is too much trouble.

but directly by the water which was nice. Addition: after the above review was posted, I was contacted by the hotel and offered a partial refund since my experience did not match their  expectations, which I found both a pleasant surprise and very professional :-)

Nice room with an excellent view over the estuary and Flushing.

Lovely to sit in the really comfortable arm chair and survey the view, absolutely magic.

Obviously the view speaks for itself as it has the Wow factor as soon as you walk in!

I was lucky enough to be shown the bridal suite which was so luxurious accompanied by stunning views across Falmouth Harbour, The morning after their special day David and Laura took breakfast on the balcony it was a lovely ending to their fabulous day.

Our room was stunning and the view was perfect.

Add a commanding view of Falmouth harbour and this restaurant ticks every box and deserves 10/10.

What a room, with a stunning view out across falmouth and tasteful decor there was no reason for us to leave the room, as it had everything we need.

I think the hotel was very clean and well kept.

But all in all hotel is beautiful one of the cleanest well kept places we’ve stayed in, very personal service and great atmosphere with the live music and acts.

The whole hotel site was very clean and the food was lovely .

It was clean , all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The entertainment in the evenings was great, the Christmas dinner was really good and the hotel was clean and tidy.

It was kept spotless by our maid Malika who always greeted us with a warm smile.

The room was clean and redone each day tho not until later on.

The gym and pool again clean and great facilities to use.

Having said that we found the Hotel extremely clean, helpful staff, beautiful pool and beach.

It's a nice clean hotel the staff can't do enough for you there is a tipping culture I do tip the staff

The food  staff, cleanliness, and facilities were excellent.

The pool itself is lovely, a perfect temperature for when you need to cool down and is always really clean.

One of our towels got wet one afternoon from water polo being played in the pool and the towel man wouldn’t let us swap for a clean, dry towel.

The hotel was clean and our room and towels were cleaned and changed very day.

The room itself was spacious, modern and clean, overlooking the pool and sea, the porter gave us the impression that we had been very lucky with our room allocation as first time visitors are generally put in rooms that face the adjoining hotel.

Rooms are clean and service was good throughout our stay.

The museum is an excellent source of history of Morocco too.

Went on the thomson agadir experience half day trip, can't recommend this highly enough, great value @ £11 pp , you visit a museum, kasbar, port, mosque and the souk with a knowledgeable guide.

The Agadir Experience is a half day trip guiding you through the souk in Agadir, a visit to the Kasbah, a trip round the port and a visit to the museum.

Fish market, Kasbach, souks, bird park, town museum etc.

We thought the drinks were very watered down especially the beer which is poor for a 4* as even after about 10 beers you weren't drunk.

Also the breakfast service around 8am was poor as the teapots and glasses for juice were missing and a shortage of serving staff.

Breakfast choices were really limited, snack bar/lunch was poor and dinner was poor.

but these were pretty poor, very limited menu and rushed service.

Food quality is poor and bland, with stale bread daily

When we got to the room it was filthy, hair everywhere, fake eyelashes, a ripped necklace, towels and the duvet ripped onto the floor, and the mirror ripped off the bathroom wall - poor cleaner and I question what peoples homes are like if they treat a hotel like this :( 

Excursions
We booked excursions via Laura Timetravel on Facebook including buggying, crocoparc, and cable cars.

The entertainment is poor and the cleanliness is really bad.

The Wifi is a major problem it's very hit and miss, fairly good in reception and by the restaurant, poor by the pool during the day and poor also in the room at peak times, do not expect to download anything while on holiday its not that good.

The specialist restaurants very poor and I ate out just to get some decent food.

- The towels (room and pool) are very, very poor and need changing.

but it was just a standard 'no reply' email with no details at all regarding our booking which I thought was very poor.

In a 5 day trip I was moved from a bad room (522) to another poor room (317).

Night entertainment is poor at best, this needs addressing as its catered forvthe over 70's.

Currently staying at this riu tui blu hotel hotel is ok rooms a bit tired staff are lovely and attentive the entertainment team seem to be non existent, and the entertainment is poor at best and the attention to detail ie no drinks in the mini bar tea and coffee not stocked up when cleaning the room one member of staff stood out and she has been brilliant so far kadija  whom seems to run the floor nearly single handedly on an evening.

After not being able to go since 2019 wasnt sure what to expect What a lovely surprise to see all the lovely staff still the same and they all remember you Amazing food ,breakfast ,lunch and dinner Entertainment Tui reps doing bingo ,aqua aerobics ,cocktail making classes ,cooking classes to mention a few Beautiful hotel ,staff in all areas Glad to see nothing has changed lovely christmas We will be back💙

The Christmas Eve Gala Dinner was first class the meal was excellent.

Afterwards the food gets quite repetitive tho, and can’t really taste the difference between the sweet cocktails.

The two alacarte restaurants are both excellent and make a nice change from the standard restaurants which are both very good.

Firstly our waiter Abdou who always had our breakfast and dinner table ready, always with a warm smile.

Such a great choice for brekki lunch and evening.

My main gripe was the food, which others have raised in the reviews.

The lunch selection was good there's a pizza/burger bar outside then the main restaurant with a good selection of salads and meats/fish and desserts.

However food was always luke warm surely there must be a legal requirement by this Hotel as its contracted by Tui.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, stayed here for a week, amazing place, staff were so friendly, food was fabulous and plentiful..couples only hotel so very relaxing.

The staff in all the restaruants/bars were very attentive and in the buffet restaurant of an evening we kept the same waiter and table which made it more personal.

We have stayed at many many Tui Blue/Sensimar hotels all either 4 or 5 star hotels and in comparison this rates a 3* for food, in my opinion.
