However jam dispensers constantly empty, pancakes and waffles cold and the breakfast room itself freezing!

Negatives
Main big problem in Paris heat- no refrigerated air conditioning, they only have evaporated air conditioning.

The air con could have done with being turned up a notch in the hot weather.

We were besieged with electrical issues due to a faulty iron…twice it blew all the power points on two separate days….ultimately fixed after a couple of requests.

As regards the rest of the hotel, the service at the reception desk was poor in respect that we had explained the air conditioning issue to one of the receptionists who was going to fix the matter whilst we were out.

The website, app, and every document related to this hotel reservation indicated A/C would be available.

The air conditioning wasn't working the room was sooo hot!couldn't open windows because of noise.

The air conditioner struggled to keep up with the warm summer days in Paris, so sleeping was a bit sticky,

Stuff tells me that "AC is the same in all rooms".

The night before we left they offered us to change rooms, providing not feedback on the AC.

On the first night we arrived the air conditioning wasn't working satisfactorily, we reported this to reception and the next day they said they had changed the filter and it was (very slightly) better,

After 3 nights of waking up drenched in my own sweat and having considered all options (virus, aircon, stress, etc) I finally checked the bed and realised Novotel, a 4 star hotel, uses plastified matrass covers right under the bed sheet.

No portable heater available even I requested for one.

This could be such a good hotel if it would only do something about it's heating system!

Even so, we had only one outlet that was working in the whole unit.

For a 4 star hotel, the a/c definitely wasn't up to scratch and the breakfast was a mess - they could arrange two areas especially during high season.

The only complaint I might have was the air conditioning was not too powerful

They came to check the a/c and they said that it would not get colder.

The location is wonderful, in the center and just next to a main metro station.

The metro station is opposite the main entrance and if you're arriving in Paris by Eurostar it's just one stop on an RER D or B train from Gare du Nord.

Metro stations were right outside the hotel, and tons of restaurants were nearby.

the location was perfect for us, with a metro station right outside the door and just a 10 min walk from Notre Dame.

Metro station is right in front, Le Louvre is a 10 minute walk, so is Notre Dam.

Friendly staff, awesome breakfast & perfectly located near a major metro station with great connectivity across and outside of Paris.

We were steps from the metro station at Châtelet-Les Halles.

Metro station just a few feet away, easily walkable to the Louvre.

On the plus side: 
Great location - Châtelet metro station is right outside the hotel and so using public transport is super easy.

The metro station is literally 50 metres away to get everywhere around Paris.

but I would preferred to have a refrigerator, the hotel is well managed and clean the service was great, the hotel is close to all attractions, lots of restaurants and bars in the area, Metro station almost in the hotel, shopping center just behind the hotel and lots of other stores, overall very satisfied

The location is perfect right on Shatlet metro station, plenty of great restaurants and patisserie.

We stayed at Novotel Les Halles for 3 nights, excellent location, 1 minute walk from a very well-connected central train and metro station, Chatelete station.

Just outside the hotel there is the main station that most of metro lines interchange

The location is very central, close to a metro station, close to great shops, bakeries and restaurants.

Few steps from the huge train and metro station.

Besides that, the metro station Les Halles is one of the main one, so lots of lines stop at it, including the one to CDG.

10 steps from a major train and metro station so very quick to and from the airport.

The hotel is at a very convenient location just right beside the metro station.

You can walk to Notre dame, Seine river, Louvre, LV Dream and if your fitter then me the opera district, Lafayette and the champs élysées.

We were able to walk to La Louvre via some excellent Christmas markets and we got the metro to the Champs Elysees for shopping and more sightseeing.

This is a very nice location just a few stops by metro from the Champs Elysee, the check in was efficient , rooms were clean and nearly appointed.

You could take subway to arc de triomphe, Champs Elysees etc.

So always lots going on and a quick walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame and even only 20min walk to Champs and of course, the Les Halles station connects to everything including the RER right to the airport
As for the hotel the rooms were clean, modern.

The walk to Champs-Elysèe, Arc du triomphe and Eiffel Tower a bit longer

You don't have to pay the premium of being right at the Champs Elysee (which is overrated as a location of you ask me), and yet you are super centrally located.

You can easily walk to Notre Dame, Lourve Museum, champs elysee (a fair bit of walk

I loved that you could walk everywhere, the Louvre, Champs-Elysees etc.

Within a few minutes walk of the hotel is the Louvre and we walked a straight line down from there through Place de la Concorde, Jardin des Tuileries, Champs Elysees and Eiffel Tower all on foot with the kids.

Ten minute walk to The Louvre, Notre dame & about an hours pleasant walk to Eiffel Tower & Champs elysees.

Metro line 1 will take you directly to Champs Elysees and Arc de Triumph.

From here you can hop on to the Eiffel Tower or Champs Élysées.

From the hotel i would strongly suggest walking to the 'Champs Elysees' along the Rue de rivoli, then turing left at the Place de la Concorde (where the Champs Elysees begins, this will give you a good taste of the city and some of the most amazing buildings/sites are on the way, (the Louvre, the Grand Palais, Petit Palis and Théâtre Marigny).

It is walking distance to the Notre Dame, the Louvre, Champs Elysees, Musee D'Orsay, Centre Pompadou, and many others.

It is walking distance to the Louvre, the Champs Elysses, Notre Dame, the Paris Wheel etc.

But the worse was a fire drill that launched the alarms at 120db and where we were instructed by hotel personnel to stay in our room for several minutes.

Cons: 
in the middle of construction - loud construction noises/banging/drilling starting 10am everyday for the entire 6 days we stayed.

Negatives:
1) Currently, there are some road constructions going on, so hard to get Uber to come by.

There was some construction on the streets and some roads were closed so maybe that's the reason why the driver couldn't get any closer or maybe he didn't know the right way.

Hopefully all this construction work will be done soon and this will no longer be an issue.

Someone wrote about some metro construction, it´s all done now, and you can acces the metro-rer-station right on the front door of the hotel (exit Porte m. de Navarre).

NB, there is no place for taxi to come  near to the hotel due to the construction going on  (No problem for the noise).

The only disappointments were the slow check in and the noisy construction work outside,

The only inconvenience was getting to the hotel by taxi due to the construction work which is almost complete.

We found out that the construction has been ongoing for about a year.

There is still construction out the front of the hotel

Only downside is that it's under construction, so taxi cannot take you to front.

The construction around the hotel, which was a bit of a bummer, will be done by September.

The location's construction problem was not so bad because we didn't have massive suitcases.

The construction (for a metro station entrance/exit) in front of the hotel is almost over and should make it even better connected with the metro lines.

The roads surrounding the hotel are under construction which makes UBER and TAXI drop offs a little difficult

Location is very central, walking distance to Louvre, Notre Dame, Metro (Les Halles) and the only issue is that because of the construction to Les Halles, taxis couldn't drop us at the hotel

but only after construction is fully completed.

Ps - on the Monday visit to Disney, it was our daughters 6th birthday.

Our girls loved the free ice cream in the afternoon!

We came as a family of 4 (2 kids age 7 and 10), and we had 2 connecting rooms.

We were there for  mother daughter birthday trip.

We were visiting with our son, daughter-in-law & our first grandson.

I am travelling with my teens so there are 4 of us.

Good room size, perfect for a family of two adults and two children to relax.

Sometimes they were handing out free ice cream cones in the middle of the afternoon, which my kids loved.

I came here with my two boys and I HAD REALLY GOOD TIME with my kids here.

The room which had a comfortable double for my husband and I plus a sofa bed for our daughter was excellent.

The WC near the hotel restaurants has a cutely set up, and there is also a childrens area which we thought was a thoughtful touch.

Kabira and Lucille helped us a lot to accommodate our need for room type 
Worked fast and with integrity really superb job 
Not to forget very cooperative bell boys always available and super polite 
Breakfast free for kids and quality of breakfast was amazing 
You can make your own fresh fruit juice here first time for me

Our young adult children enjoyed the junior suite.

We had two kids (4 & 6) who really enjoyed the kids room.

The we made a note on our reservations that we had 2 children traveling with us and the staff decorated the room with balloons and provided coloring pages and color pencils for the kids.

Inside there was even a separate play space for young children!

My granddaughter and I met in Paris for a long weekend and completely enjoyed our stay at Novotel Paris Les Halles.

It has a large variety to choose from everything were delicious and the price seems to be a bargain as kid have breakfast for free.

Executive room with Queen size and sofà for two teens was nice and comfortable.

Our room has all modern conveniences and is totally satisfactory.

I made a few crepes and the environment in the breakfast room was modern and sleek.

The hotel was extremely clean with lovely modern décor throughout.

The rooms are spacious, modern, and impeccably clean.

but it's clean, modern and it works and looks out for its guests - you are made to feel you matter and they try.

Very well placed on the center of Paris this hotel brought us a very pleasant experience, modern, well decorated, and with amazing breakfasts and dinners.

Impeccable service, great location, beautiful internal court and committed staff (thank you Vincent for all your support) :-) The conference facilities are modern, elegant and the delegate packages and buffet restaurant met all our expectations.

Rooms are very tidy and modern to Paris standards.

Our executive and superior rooms were just perfect for us - spacious, clean, modern and the beds are very comfortable.

The bathrooms are modern and overhead waterfall-type shower heads are a nice touch after a day of Paris sites.

I would like to point out that the hotel staff member Paulo was very attentive and had valuable insights about the local restaurants, especially for portuguese-speaking guests.

Very good hotel, perfect location (there is a metro station right in front of it), outstanding breakfast (really good), the staff is very friendly and helpful (specially Paulo that speaks Portuguese and helped us Brazilians with some great insights about the local restaurants).

Restaurants galore and a shopping center in the neighborhood.

If you go here which I highly recommend, please try the restaurant food.

The best food ever Pablo recommended us alot of restaurants were very good also lots of place to visit eifel tower also good restaurant and very friendly atmosphere I will come again so as I can recommend every that can come to go.

The hotel is lovely and in and excellent location near great restaurants, shopping, and cultural sites.

The location of the hotel, a few blocks from both the Seine and the Louvre, is hip, lively, and offers numerous bistros, shops and the enormous Samaritaine department store.

Restaurant (for breakfast and dinner)  is very nice and the food excellent as well.

Especially Paolo was very kind and helpful with our baggage and recommendations for places to eat.

In the heart of the action, lots of bars and cafes nearby.

The food during the whole event was simply amazing.

Which ended up being fine since the food was so great.

The hotel offers free shuttle rides back to Paris, either Opera or Champs-Elysees.

All in all not much to the property, the location to the Palace is very misleading, yes they are adjacent to the grounds

Great location, bar service and food exceptional.

The location was perfect for us and was a short walk to the Palace of Versaille.

Hotel is located few steps from Versailles garden .

Lovely 5star hotel in an amazing location - we stayed one night in a suite and got upgraded to a huge room (HH diamond) including views on all sides of the building over to Versailles itself and a roof terrace.

The hotel is in a very convenient location if you have a booked tour at Versailles.

The location just next to Palais de Versailles is perfect.

This location lives up to the Waldorf Astoria brand.

Overall, especially given the location, it is hard to beat this property.

An exceptional hotel with outstanding staff and beautiful rooms in a location 10 mins drive from Versailles front gates.

In closing, even with these negatives, this bucket list hotel earns a 5/5 for its comfort, location, and luxurious ambiance.

Luxury hotel in great location in Versailles.

Very well located to visit the Versailles Palace.

Room was located on the 5th floor and had a decent view of chateau versailles.

Here's why:

The Pro's
- Location, it is only a couple of minutes from the side entrance to Versailles, perfect for early morning entrance or the evening firework and fountain show.

Location is great ' adjacent to the Gardens.

After checking out, I paid 37 Euro for an in-room dinner that I had on the first day and was promised to receive the bill on the same day.

but also more 4 star then 5 star and not great for the price.

but only if the company pays and even then I'd eat and drink elsewhere.

One night at 733€ , for that high price , only one electrical outlet on one side of the bed , no electrical outset on the other side and the room door slamming cause there is no shock absorber , you ear everybody entering or leaving his room especially by night .

You need to considered that you should pay a little more and stay in the 5* one, since

Far too expensive for what it is, a 5star hotel room with noisy minibar.

The Waldorf is a much lower standard and priced hotel yet they are charging 100 euros for a dog which is totally extortionate, if you charged people based on their size you may find you get sued!

We should have stayed at the Angleterre for a third of the price.

but having only paid a mere €400 a night what can we expect!! Avoid!

And our food was mediocre at best; every meal we had in small Paris cafes and bistros was so much less expensive and such higher quality.

but with a few improvements/pushes from management to elevate the guest experience this could be a great option to the central Paris five-star properties, many which frankly are not worth the exorbitant room rates they charge.

There was a slight mixup at check-in regarding our room rate

The location is perfect, just beside the Versailles Palace and Gardens
The rates are expensive at peak season
The Pavilion rooms are okey and the beds are very comfortable
The walls a bit thin, as can hear housekeeping vacuuming the room beside

We enjoyed lunch and dinner in the palace and our room was  exquisite.

The food in the restaurant was pretty good.

It was like having a cocktail in a collegiate library.

In fact it was one of my best meals in Paris.

Very nice food at La Veranda for dinner as well,

It was a 3 + hour extravaganza with the most delicious foods and presentations imaginable!

The staff on the restaurant are very friendly and polite.

We ate in the Gordon Ramsay restaurant - lovely decor, thoughtful tasting menus and delicious wine pairing -

The on-site restaurant (La Veranda) had well-executed dishes,

We had our dinner in their restaurant and the food quality was excellent while the service provided was impeccable.

Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant exceeded all of my expectations.

The chief of the restaurant canceled the restaurant bill seeing my immediate stop to continue my diner .

but to the 5* and I would only eat on the terrace, everything else outside the Hotel.

The food and service in the Veranda is our favorite

During our stay we enjoyed both the Veranda and Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants during our stay.

We ate in La Veranda one night and then had a sensational 7-course feast in the Gordon Ramsey restaurant the next.

I spend two nights in the hotel to visit Versailles palace and garden and its best location to do it .

Since the day we visited Versailles was rainy, we were able to borrow umbrellas for the day from the converge which was highly appreciated.

We visited just for the weekend and what an amazing time it was.

We visited the Waldorf-Astoria initially because of its proximity to Versailles,

Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Paris.

Stayed 6 nights here, and I recommend anyone visiting Paris to stay at this palatial historic hotel at least once.

When staying take time to visit the palace - it is a short walk.

In addition arranged tickets for us to visit chateau versailles.

Will definitely return the next time I visit Versailles.

Perfect place to stay when visiting the Versailles palace and gardens.

Our tour guide met us in the lobby of the hotel and we walked right over to the park entrance of Versailles.

It's about a 10 minute walk to Versailles Palace and if you want to venture out there are plenty of restaurants, bakeries and shopping just a few minutes walk away.

We then had to walk all of our luggage 4 blocks to a new hotel.
