however, is the location close to gare central, Grand Place and Rue du Boucher, thus good for businessmen and tourists alike.

The hotel, part of the large international group, is very well located, a few steps away from the world famous Grand'Place, the historic (second to Milan's shopping arcade) Galerie du Roi/Saint Hubert and upmarket shopping, and Brussels Central Station (train and metros) and in between Brussels main shopping districts (Rue Neuve and "Haut de la Ville" between Porte de Namur and Porte Louise).

This is a typical Novotel in an excellent situation close to the Grand' Place, next to the Galeries du Roi, on Place Agora / Marché aux Herbes (Grasmarkt).

It is only a few minutes to walk to central station to get the underground / tube if you are feeling adventurous to explore further afield to somewhere such as the Parc du Cinquantenaire or the European Parliament buildings in the Schuman area.

The breakfast is not a quality affair anyway - go to le PainQuotidien in Gallerie du Roi which is very near and where you will enjoy a quality product.The room we got was rather eccentric in shape

but also a few metters from Gare Centrale where it is possible to get a free shuttle train to Gare du Midi if you are a Thalys Ticket holder!

If travelling by Eurostar you can get the train (free with a valid Eurostar connecting ticket) from Gare du Midi (which is attached to Gare du Sud, the names can be seen interchangeably) to Gare Centralle in a couple of minutes.

(NB - if you travel to Brussels by Eurostar you'll arrive at Station du Midi, which is a 10 minute/15 euro taxi ride from the hotel)

Our family room was a good size, with a big comfortable double bed and a sofa bed.

but nice gym, wonderful breakfast and great location, right in the beggining of the "Rue du Marché aux Herbes", which means in the center of everything (2 minutes walk from Grand Place.

Location good for seeing Grand Place and easy access to metro to take you back to Gare du Midi.

Hotel is easy to find just 200m fron the Gare du Midi (not the Gare Central) railway station.

The night before also we were in novotel in paris Gare de lyon which also was very good hotel

All downtown around and a few steps from gare grand central.

Hotel connected to Brussels Central Station/Gare Centrale and a stone-throw from Brussels historic center (Grand Place, Rue des Bouchers, Manekenpis etc..)
Our room 333 was clean, quiet and well-equiped (TV, tug and shower, separate toilets, desk etc..)

If you want to get to the airport via a train from the nearby Gare Centrale (EASY walking distance), buy a ticket - even if you have a train pass of some sort.

I chose a hotel near the train station with the direct connection (Gare Centrale) for a business trip.

Great location just 2 minutes walk from La Gare Central; Rue des Bouchers; Grand Place; main shopping street; Hard Rock Cafe; Mankin Pis and lots more.

Steps from the Gare Centrale and The Grand Place, literally everything is in walking distance.

Take the Marche aux Herbes exit from the  Gare Centrale concours and you are just yards from the hotel.

perfect location hotel, very close to the Gare Central, which gives us easy access to explore brussels and with lots of shops and restaurants around.

Very nice, modern hotel 100 m from the Gare Centrale and about the same from the Grand Place, so location is unbeatable.

but it's got a great location (between the Gare Centrale and the Grand Place), and the decor is pleasant.

5 minutes walk from Gare Centrale, 5 minute walk to Grande Place and waffles across the street.

It helps a lot that it is located near Gare Centrale railway station (3-min walk away) and metro station (7-min walk away), and at the heart of the main attractions - the Grote Markt!

Five minutes walk at most to the Gare-Centrale (metro, train to airport/Bruges from here) and about a thirty second walk to the Grand place, which was ideal with a young child.

Wonderful location (a few steps from Gare Central and the Grand Place).

the hotel is very conveniently accessed, being just steps down the hill from Gare de Bruxelles-Central.

+ :  the Novotel off Grand Place is located within minutes from the Gare Centrale, or Brussels Central Train Station--it is literally right down the block.

but train strikes in Belgium on Monday meant travelling to Brussels on the Sunday night so had aranged this prior to travel and what a deal we had, the hotel is 5 min from Gare Central and even less to the Grand Place so the location could not be any better.

The location near to Gare Centrale and the Grande Place, made it a good base to work from.

﻿This hotel was strategically located just a few minutes walk away from Brussels Central Station which was also our assembly point for our Bruges and Ghent day tour.

The location was excellent, 5 minutes to the train to the airport, 5 minutes walk to the main square,surrounded by very nice restaurants.

The location is great for shopping and eating with the Grand Place essentially half a block away.

This hotel is in the perfect location for all of Brussels famous attractions, it is situated just off Grand Place around 75m in a very vibrant and cosmopolitan area.

but realistically, this hotel is all about the location.

The location is great--right near the Centraal train station and the Grand Place--but that is the only positive thing I can say about this place.

It is a 20 min flat walk to the train station Nord.

However, it is not so convenient if you travel by high-speed trains (ICE, Thalys) which stop mostly in Brussel Midi or Nord, not Centraal.

I have read the latest reviews and totally disagree and  I am having a dispute over a  payment at the  moment- the  room was clean and  spacious and the bed was great as was the amazing  bathroom.

The rooms are as per Novotel standard, nothing less, nothing more. The breakfast was good (personalised with Belgium waffles)

Well situated, modern hotel and rooms very comfortable.

They assist me with booking hotel transfers to the airport, cared for my clients during their stay and also arranged for some beers to be placed in the room upon arrival for my client.

Room was on the small side due to having 2 twin beds which folded out from couch.

Also my room on last stay was quite small.

The rooms were very small with a narrow entrance.Difficult to bring your baby in and out with a pram.

The room was small and dated and the blankets on our children's pull out sofa bed where stained.

Cons: Room was smelly upon arrival (drain pipe syphons got dried out) and every time I used the bathroom sink the smell from the pipe was horrible, some broken furniture and light in the bathroom, "minibar" has only water which costs €3.5/0.5l, my room was looking at the small square behind the hotel which should really get cleaned - especially the part where the hotel keeps garbage containers.

But with only 2 adults and 1 child we already found the room rather small, especially compared to other Novotel we have stayed in.

The room was quite small really and not to an executive size.

I stayed for 2 nights in family room, room is very small with average housekeeping service.

We had booked an executive room and the room we were given was very small and very dark.

Cleaned every day and the  staff explained to  us how to use the transport system and  how to get to places.

We were given early check in as we are members and that evening (only a one night stay) we asked for late check out and a female at reception agreed we could have it for free until 1pm

Aaron and the staff at the front desk were very efficient and professional.

He helped try different types pf Belgium beer and was very knowledgeable.

Breakfast is pricey at 25 Euros - you can get a decent breakfast (eggs, bacon, fruit, bread orange juice and tea/coffee) at the cafe on the corner opposite the hotel for 16 euros - the cafe also sells waffles and pancakes.

The staff was very competent, friendly and accomodating.

Front Office staffs were polite during check-in and out,

At check in the staff were helpful with our questions about the neighborhood.

Staff where warm and friendly and knowledgeable.

Staff very friendly, the bar was perfect for relaxing with Yani the cheerful barman and good playlists for an enjoyable drink !

I have been speaking with the Novotel staff Off Grand Palace and they couldn't be more helpful.

It seemed that the reception and bar staff were there only to flirt with one another.

The next day I asked the young lady at the desk the same thing, and she immediately comped us breakfast for the next day.

Ostend is a seasaide city and resort that overlooks to the Nord sea with a beautiful waterfront promenade the city offer casinos, wide beaches,museums and shopping, from Brussels, by train from Gare du Midi station, in an hour u can visit Gent is a university town.

To find a decent place to eat either go to Sablon or after the Bourse around rue du midi and beyond Anspach boulevard.

This hotel is located just steps from the Grande Place and from the Galerie du Roi et de la Reine, a beautiful mix of shops and cafés.

You can't beat the location, at the Rue du Marché aux Herbes, the hotel is juz 2 minutes from the Grand Place and everything else around.

Very close to Grand Place and Central Station (25min walk from Gare Midi), very efficient checkin/out and good value rates for a decent room & WiFi.

however, is perfect, with just a little walk from Gare Centraal and in the heart of everything.

It's only a few minutes walk from the Gare Centrale so it was very convenient for us coming by train from Bruges & then getting the train back to the airport.

It is also close to both the Central train station and Gare Central metro.

The location of the hotel couldn’t be better next to the “Gare Centrale”, the “Grand Place”, “Galeries Royales Saint Hubert” and  to lots of restaurants and bars.

If you are coming in to Brussels by train to Gare Central the Ibis is a great find.

The hotel is perfectly situated within few hundreds meters from Town hall/Grand place and Gare Central.

This IBIS sits on a beautiful square, very close to Gare Central.

This hotel has a great location just 2mn walk from the "Grand Place" and from the "gare centrale" and 5mn away from the "manneken pis".

First of all, here's what I liked about this hotel (hence the two points rating):

- clean and in good condition
- very friendly and welcoming front desk staff
- awesome location – right between (1) Grand Place and scads of restaurants on rue des Bouchers and (2) Gare Bruxelles-Central with great train access to the airport and Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp.

It is very central, if you find the  right exit from Gare Centrale its a very short walk (there is a convenient train service from the airport and a metro line) The local square has good restaurants, Grand Place is very near and there are side street cafes with more sensible prices.

It's also convenient for the Grande Gare Station, the starting point for the hop on, hop off buses and the Cathedral
There is a lovely square just outside that hosts an Arts & Crafts Fair on thursdays, fridays, saturdays ,sundays and Bank Holidays.

The best part of this hotel is its location--it's just next to Grand Place and near the Grande Gare station.

I had a room overlooking a quiet patch between Grand Place and the station.

It's a 5 min walk from the Centraal station, (the safe and nice train station that easily connects to Nord and Midi), and best of all it's just a block from the Grand Place.

With the the window open, there was a certain amount of noise from police sirens and pro-Palestine supporters most days I was there,

At night they're noisy from the people and music on the street and I was forced to shut the window.

I liked the idea of having a dual purpose bathroom door that also served as a second door to the sleeping section to prevent noises from the corridor from entering the room; I was in room 112.

but was woken early by the laundry cupboard next door (room 323) so they happily moved me to the 5th floor in the eaves - smaller room but quieter and the aircon just about coped on a very hot weekend.

Bit noisy at night, room was close to elevator.

The one downside to this hotel is its noise.

Few negatives: Air con was really loud in our room

First night a bit noisy, otherwise very good.

but when closed, it also blocks out outdoor noise.

Our room was small (as expected), bathroom tiny & located close to the lift so the noise of the lift could be heard almost constantly.

If you like your hotel noisy, this is where you should go.

Only reason it’s not 4 stars is because the room was very noisey - I was in the roof and didn’t seem to have any insulation.

If you can hear your crying baby, so can everyone else within 2 doors of you!

The noise from outside competes with the noise of the adjacent rooms locks opening and doors closing and makes it impossible to get a good night sleep.

The room is basic, regrettably, being a second floor it was a bit noisy during the night.

We could open a window to hear the merriment and festive music at the small square  and restaurants near the Grand Place, or close it for sound sleep.

The only noise you will hear are other patrons forgetting that there are other people living on Earth.

We had a room with view if square in front and it was beautiful.

though it is well mantained - and the rooms are very compact.

The rooms are very small…and the bathroom was designed in an interesting way.

They have a luggage storage room with spaces to lock and keep your luggage.

We had two rooms and the corner one had great views.

Easy to find and walk to from Brussels central station, tha rooms are very clean and adequate on size (all ibis hotels have small rooms compared to other brands).

Hotel was modern with nice sized and very comfortable rooms.

He also went on to say that the channels available depend on the room in which you are staying.

Reception as soon as went to complain knew room we were in and moved us to room 336 which was much better and had a fantastic view.

I would recommend this side of the hotel - the even numbered rooms overlook a busy street which can be loud at night.

The breakfast room was usually quiet so there was always plenty of tables available.

While there was no fridge, they charged for water, and it was a little warm in our room, the room was spacious enough and the located was truly perfect!

Stayed here in a triple family room with my parents!

My room was a good size, the bed was comfy and noise didn't seem to carry from the other rooms.

Rooms are a good size and have a great view of the street below.

Check in went smoothly until got room which was tiny.

but the rooms were tiny, and I mean tiny.

Whilst room was small, the amenities such as plenty of hot water for showers was plentiful.

After reading reviews here on Trip Advisor we knew that our room would be small and that helped to manage our expectations.

The rooms are small, there is no charm, no amenities and not even a paper cup in the room.

but this is also very, very expansive hotel for too small room without fridge, tea pot and others accessories .

Maybe because I’m a frequent visitor to Japan and is accustomed to small rooms, so it could feel different for others.

This Ibis is basically like a youth hostel / dorm room / backpacker hotel, with extremely tiny rooms, literally no space to even put your luggage (we put it in the floor and had to climb over it to get to the toilet - no, I'm not exaggerating), no basic amenities like coffee, or even facial tissues, in the rooms, etc.

The rooms may be a little small, and a larger closet area would be nice.

To some people these rooms might appear too small,

The former station is a short walk from the hotel and the journey time between the two stations is about seven minutes.

This location is ideal for day trips as you are literally a 2-3 minute walk from the Central Station.

and a few minutes walk away from Brussels central station, this hotel is super convenient for a stay in Brussels.

Easy to walk to several main attractions, in particular the grand-place, just a couple of steps away.

This hotel is situated just a short 3-5 min walk from the main train station in brussels and a minut away from the Grand Place.

It is in a safe area of town surrounded by shops and restaurants and the Grand place is only a short walk away!☺️

Hotel is on the excellent location, placed just 2-3 minutes walking from both Brussels - Central station and Grand Place.

The only wonky thing is the shower had a quarter glass and was open, unfortunately the glass does not line up with the tub so the water will get all over the floor so you are stuck hugging the wall to not flood the bathroom.

Toilet is too close to a wall so you have very little space.
