Only one thing to mention is the missing ventilation in the bathroom.

but thankfully I wanted a bubble bath anyway!)

Room 126 - little shower in the toilet does not have temperature control.

Also, my friend’s room was much, much larger and had a double sink instead of a single sink.

My issue is that the decor in my bedroom was par at best and the bathroom needs work.

but not so keen on the shower in/above the bath ( i know it’s often the case in the older unrefurbished hotels and a price you pay for having the true character).

Aside from this incident, if you are still considering staying here, please also note that while the hote itselfl is beautiful, and the beach club and staff are lovely, several elements of the hotel are not up to international standards of what one expects from a 5 star hotel (for example, no hair conditioner in the rooms, which is typical of French hotels

And the shower was so small which was odd because the bathroom footprint was so large.

There was also something wrong with the flush mechanism on the toilet.

For example the shower holder, the water was stuck in the sink.

The lack of amenities, mediocre service, and non-existent small touches should not qualify this hotel to be anything more than your average 3-star vacation spot.

The doors did not work properly and there were insects on the floor in the bathroom.

The bathroom was mostly elegant except for this giant silver metallic bathtub.

For instance, we had to call for a toothbrush and room-service was efficient.

There was not lights in the shower stand and the toilet flush was not powerful that you have to keep pushing.

Negresco offers a very pleasant  mix of a classic worldclass hotel experience with a very warm and personal touch to the guests.

Very historic looking with a modern touch.

If you are traveling for the experience of visiting this property to view the stunning art and grandness of a historic hotel then it may be worth the visit.

The staff was stellar, the room and the facility itself beautiful and steeped in opulent historical context.

Hotel is rich in history so if you like historical fittings and furnishings this place rocks.

I selected the Rivoli Rooms because they were modern and stylish.

Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed and enhanced the beginning and end of our 2 months stay in nearby Cannes 
The foyer is stunning with fresh flower displays and plenty of seating 
The ballroom and statues and art work are sensational 
The staff were extremely helpful and charming as always and the recommendations of restaurants excellent by the concierge

It was a museum full if art pieces.Everything was at it should be.

We said we’d pay full price, we didn’t care.

So I had breakfast and paid for lounge chairs at the beach club and then I receive an urgent call that they had another room and I should return immediately to pack up and move as it would be available at 3 pm.

What’s disappointing is when I hear the reception telling me that “if I pay an additional half day rate, I can stay until 4pm”.

Our only complaint is that as a guest you have to pay for a sun-bed on the beach and they dont even supply water without charge.

The hotel is by no means a ‘budget hotel’ so I do think there are some areas for improvement considering the price.

All in all, while a beautiful hotel, not worth the price for the experience.

but overpriced (as most 5* hotel buffets are).

It’s expensive for even the basic “superior” room

Needless to say we will not be celebrating  in this antiquated obnoxious old overpriced very over rated hostelrie  .. the front door goons need some education in Manners !

Before dinner we went to the bar where i bought the most expensive cocktail ever.

My only small issue with our stay was, it is hard to rate the hotel 5 stars when you have lawn furniture and bean bag chairs (picture).

If he had paid a little bit more attention to the usual cues and not to my skin color, he would have clearly seen that I had a room key in my hand (conspicuous in color because it is made of wood).

As we moved from hotel to hotel, there were certain things we focused on the most so I decided to rate them at each hotel.

We liked the first dinner whose restaurant was recommended by the concierge, Oliver.

The location, of course is the best, breathtaking views and food and beverage are also fantastic.

I bought items on line and corresponded with the concierge about receiving my packages, booking restaurants, helping me with the Post service about my package, etc.

We ate in La Rotonde on Sunday night, it was so good and the staff were exceptional, the food is of the highest order, so we ate there again the following night.

We ate the buffet breakfast each day and the selection was good the items did not change,

We were truly impressed how all the staff immediately recognized us by name, whether it is the concierge, reception, bar or restaurant.

The food was superb and service was especially friendly at La Rotonde and Le Chantecler.

Our ocean view room was clean and comfortable, a delicious dinner at The Rotunda was accompanied by incredible service, the quality of the food at the breakfast buffet was rivaled by the attentiveness of the staff, and attention to every detail was impeccable.

The service at "La Rotonda" restaurant was very good, the food selection  quite short.

Plenty of shops and restaurants very nearby.

The concierge offered excellent restaurant recommendations and reservations and experiences.

Great staff, amazing food, super clean rooms, wonderful location etc etc etc.

We loved our day at the beach club, our dinner at Rotunda and our cocktails in the Versailles bar with live music.

Our dinner at LE Chantecler was memorable.

On our anniversary we dined at the Beach Club, and loved the menu choices, service, and truly delicious food.

The on-site restaurants and room service was very good as well!

I replied I had just arrived at the beach club, had booked a lunch there too, and would try to get there as close to 3 pm as possible

butts and just dumped them in the sewer right in front.

Since I'm asthmatic i asked to be moved since i didn't know this at the time and had at least 3 people smoking around us.

Pros: breakfast was good, great location, beach chairs (€35-45/pp) and service very attentive 

Cons: odd sewage smell in the lobby, reception bleach wiped our paper passports…, AC & fridge were barely cold, TV worked 20% of the time, AND

After spending €900/night at a “5-star resort”- had to go fetch hair conditioner as the hotel does NOT provide it, the only option was a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner….

When we were showed the second room, we immediately refused it due to it reeking of a VERY strong cigarette odor.

The noisy air-conditioning did help to mask the noise (when it worked).

We complained for a strong smell of smoke in our bedroom.

Currently staying at the Negresco for my parents 40 years anniversary, we checked in a hotel room filled with dust, urine stained sheets, hair on pillow cases, mold in bathroom, indescribable black dirt mousse in the fridge looking like mold, mattress blood stained.

The room had a weird odor that was like old lady perfume.

Room was little worn out, carpet on the floor slightly smelly and unclean.

though no pool 50 euros for two sun beds on nasty pebble beach !

Odor did not gravitate into the sleeping area,

We had one drink in the bar that smelt musty and looked like it could do with a good clean.

but luckily nothing broke 🙏🏻
We told the concierge who was very sorry but did nothing to improve the bath leakage so we hope that they warmed the next guests as it could have been nasty if you were older or frailer .also we returned to this gorgeous room the next day at about 5 pm to find all our towels had disappeared !

Only negative feeling, breathing a bit messy and frankly speaking a bit poor compared to the price and hotel 5star hotels.

The guest next door ignored the non-smoking.

they were energetic and polite. I can sense the passion of what they are doing.)

All experiences were superb, concierge responded right away, at all times of the day.

The dishes have been delicious, the setting was very nice, the music was so relaxing and the staff has always been very kind and attentive.

Le Chantecler proved an exceptional experience, the service was top and the food was creative and expressive, with the staff paying close attention to any dietary needs.

We were always give the impression rhat all staff truly cared to make our stay as nice as ever possible

Their service is exceptional and personable, and the hotel itself is an absolute gem.

If you can afford Le Negresco, it is wonderful for the location, services, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, beauty and opulence.

although there is construction across the street, that can be noticed at times.

Across the Place, there was construction of a new multi-story building, so noise was a problem between around 8am to 5pm approx.

There was construction going on, so the small square facing the hotel was quite noisy at times.

The bedroom overlooked the opera area which is sadly under construction on the lower level

One thing it was not good is the front of the hotel(^_^;)It was middle of construction

but had wished they warned us about the construction.

The nearest metro station (Richelieu Drouot) was closed for construction,

The issue that compromised our stay was the construction.

My only complaint was that there was some hideous construction going on nearby that woke everyone up at 8 am with earth shattering crashing,

It's a rare thing, so imagine how disappointing it was on our 2 night stay in Paris, one of the few times we might have actually been able to sleep past 6:30am, to be woken up at 8am sharp by loud construction.

There was some construction going on out in front of the hotel during our visit, which made for a less than spectacular building facade and entrance,

but the sidewalk is still cut up, so I suspect there may be follow-on construction at a later date.

Would have been very quiet if not for the noise of road construction -no fault of hotel!

It spoilt breakfast having a pneumatic drill about 2 foot away from you and the noise was deafening.

I loved that they kept the original ceiling wool construction and just painted to match the interior.

There was some construction noise in the morning from an adjacent building and they play music in the hallways almost 24 hours a day it seemed.

The rooms and lobby of the hotel are very nicely decorated.

I had a super comfortable bed, a luxurious bath tub, impeccable & friendly service, tasty breakfast, beautiful interior decor throughout the hotel, with a fabulous location to explore Paris.

This is a truly charming and intimate little hotel located not far from the famous Paris Opera House.

we were in a standard room, so the others are presumably even nicer

The location was perfect for us and we could not have asked for better service.

Location is excellent and quiet yet just minutes walk from cool bars and restaurants.

The location is very good, and the hotel is tucked back in a relatively quiet part of it, which was nice.

Maison Favart is in fantastic location easily walkable to the Opera and Galeries Lafayettte and so many fantastic restaurants close by.
