 - It’s roughly a 30 minute walk down to the Seine or there’s a choice of a couple of nearby Metro stations depending on where you want to go.
 - And Vavin metro station is literally 50metres away.
 - Close to 3 metro stations.
 - The Metro station Vavin is almost on the doorstep, which takes you direct to Notre Dame and we found it easy to change to other lines to the Eiffel Tower etc.
 - The bus and metro stations were very near and the area was very safe.

 - Wonderful small hotel on very quiet side street with easy access to great cafes, Luxembourg Gardens and three separate useful Metro lines (4, 12 and 6).
 - It is within easy walking distance of multiple Metro lines as well as the Palais Royal RER line (best way to get to and from the airport) and a 15-minute walk from Montparnasse train station.

 - The guys on the rank are licensed by the Paris city authority and have set tariffs we paid €62 to get to the hotel which was a 40 minute ride so not too bad really.
 - It took us so long to decide on a place to stay in Paris given the options and the size of the city centre.
 - Please also note you will be charged a city tax per day on departure
 - Rooms and the bath were small as is typical in Paris and most large cities in Europe -
 - This was our first visit to the city and we zeroed down in this hotel after a lot of research and review reading at Tripadvisor.

 - It was impossible to lay out both of our large suitcases on the floor in the room, and we had very little space around the bed.
 - Our floor only had five rooms on it -- not sure if all the floors are that way,
 - NEGATIVES: the stairs to access first floor rooms are narrow (but i loved their style and autenthicity).

 - A bit of noise at night, I could hear the children in the bedroom boven mine and people taking the lift.
 - The elevator can either fit two people or one person and a suitcase.
 - One warning first: the rooms are very small (and the elevator minuscule).
 - There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room though and the charge to have them from the downstairs cafe is quite a expensive. The lift is a crazy small size,
