The staff was wonderful, breakfast perfect and tasty, and the room functional and clean, the beds super comfortable.

Room are clean and beautiful (liked the painting behind the bed) - airconditioned which was very needed as it was over 30 degrees Celcius when we stayed there - all in all nice hotel !

We left almost immediately to catch a train at the Gare de Lyon.

I love it because it's nice and personnel, well situated, close to the Gare de Lyon, where I normally arrive with the TGV and from where there is a metro Line takes me straight to the center.

Hotel Palym sat bang in the middle of the two - so close to Gare de Lyon (which made for an easy two stop access home via Gare de Nord Eurostar).

The rooms at Palym were so beautifully decorated, bathrooms are a little small,

The room was a good size for the centre of Paris with a double bed, desk, TV (only 1 English channel), shower bathroom and a small balcony.

The bathroom was quite tiny with a small shower stall, and not a lot of shelf space to put your toiletries.

The only cons that I can think of are the small bathroom (expected though) and no free breakfast (Need to pay additional 8 Euros per pax).

The only negatives were that there weren't any dresser to put clothes in and the bathroom was really small.

The bathrooms (someof us had very small bathrooms also) were modern with shower only.

It is so small that the toilet seat is on the verge of falling off the toilet because it is so hard to get into a proper seating position without knocking your knees into the wall, so most people must have sat sideways and moved the seat out of its position.

Back to our room - it was a pretty small room by US standards with a tiny bathroom that included a shower stall

but this time our room was very small ,included the shower a toilet (36)

but room was very small and didn't contain basic items such drawers and bag table.

The hotel is really small and the rooms even smaller and really cold.

Room was a bit small as we had 2 big luggages to open,

The room booked as a triple room had a small fold out lounge stuffed in a corner, very uncomfortable for my 17 yr old.

Typically of Paris hotels they are maximising the use of the space, the lift and rooms were a little on the small side.

Room was quite small for a double, view was not amazing, Wifi was awful and was told there were too many people using it?

Overall, everything is perfect if u don't mind the small room.

Because it is so near the Gate Dr Lyon and because we were traveling by train we stayed here.

We booked this hotel for a quick overnight stay knowing we were getting off the train at Gare du Lyon at 11pm.

My first reason for the choice is the very good location (near railway station).

We used both the near by bus stops and the near by train station to get to Versaille and around Paris.

Everything would have been ok except one big failure: I was given a room without daylight (a wall in front of the window)!

Lots of noise through the thin walls, even with their normal activity.

but had nowhere to put anything and the grey painted walls depressing.

The only reason it isn't getting 5 stars is because the walls are thin and you can hear a lot.

The walls were a bit dirty and it didn't really have any character.

The only downside of our room was that it was facing the wall.

Wall was thin paper, It easy to hear TV sound from next door, of course conversation are.

Small & dark you need lights in the daylight, no view except a 3 metre square in the centre of the hotel just four walls to look at, this is at best 2* only positive was location for train station!! !

However, as our 5 year old got into bed she noticed a bug, which on closer inspection was one of many, bed bugs which were literally crawling all over the bedding and up the walls.

however the shower only goes as high as 3' (maybe), and does not have a curtain or even a glass wall to keep water off the floor.

If you hear a squeaky sound it's probably your tush rubbing againt the shower wall (LOL).

The last point I wanted to highlight are the thin walls.

What surprised me most is that there were at least 6 big mosquitoes on the wall in the last night we stayed.

Rooms large, very clean and with every amenity we required (great air-conditioning/mini-fridge/USB charge points/shampoo, conditioner etc in bathroom).

As you would expect the rooms are very comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and efficient.

We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and their emphasis on wearing masks by both their staff and the guests.

On two separate occasions during our 4 night stay at this hotel we returned to our room and there were hairs from housekeeping in our bed.

Room was sparkling clean, every day they would refill the minibar with a complimentary water, bring fresh towels.

Upon our return, the front desk guy recognized me and caught up with me by the elevator to say that no one had a chance to check it out,

Not being used to Holiday Inn’s set up in 17th century buildings I found this to be quite quirky in layout, lifts etc.

The elevator to 7th floor was not working, so was inconvenient with luggage (but the staff assisted).

Get a low floor and then you can conveniently take stairs by the elevator.

During our stay some renovation work was ongoing so little bit of inconvenient using the stairs as bigger lift was not accessible

Only downside was one of the lifts wasn’t working.

Only 1 super slow elevator for 7 floors worth of rooms.

The elevators are are difficult and slow.

( Although most of the cleaning staff only speaks french)You will have to carry your own luggage to your room,but there are two elevators,so that was not a big issue.

(Our only frustration at times was the lift service.

Only issue I see was that it's and only building with small and slow elevators,

but that only adds to its charm fromt the old fashion gated elevator to the spiral stair cases ( just like everything in Paris).

Lifts are a nit hit and miss, and the older one was always out of order.

Great location moments from Gare de Lyon.

Great location, close to Gare de Lyon, lots of local restaurants and within walking distance of many tourist attractions.

The location of this hotel is excellent being next to the Gare de Lyon metro.

The hotel is a five minute walk from Gare de Lyon so the Holiday Inn is extremely convenient, with excellent eating options nearby and good access for both Metro and RER, so don't be deterred by the insalubrious flashing yellow sign of the dodgy establishment next door.

Much to our surprise, this hotel, located between the Gare de Lyon and the Bastille was a great choice.

The Marais is where one of our favorite restaurants is located, so it was a "must" visit.

One big plus this time was that the room was much quieter than last time--seems like better windows and doors.

Cozy room proved to be a better way to start the day than the 5 star room without a view in another hotel.

Of special note is the design of the rooms with new build in bedside furniture.

Rooms are quite large compared to most Paris hotels .

I was thrilled to be offered a room with a balcony which meant I could see snow fall in Paris.

The rooms are freshly renovated with old style high ceilings, and they are large by Parisian standards.

Our rooms on the 2nd floor were quiet, spacious, extremely clean, and the beds were super-comfortable.

They let us have the room as early as mid-morning and gave us free late check-out, since they weren`t full, probably due to COVID.

Room was awesome and the buffet food and service was excellent.

Although the location is good, the rooms are small, furniture is quite dated, and very cramped.

There are several cafe's near this hotel where you could enjoy a Parisian breakfast and Bastille Restaurants are all walking distance.The rooms are very very small (  approx 14 sq m ) which is literally half the size of most small hotels and you could literally slide into the bathroom from the bed.

even though still disappointed with the tiny room.
