When it comes to the big hitters, the Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triumphe are around an hours walk away down the main boulevards, a walk I recommend partaking.

Grand boulevard subway station just down the road if you want to see Arc de Triumph or Eiffel  Towel only cost €1.90.

My husband and I were able to easily walk to the Arc de Triomphe, Galeries Lafayette, Musee du Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Notre Dame.

In two days we visited the Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris, Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées, Montmartre, Catacombs of Paris, Sainte-Chapelle and had dinner at the Eiffel Tower.

This recently refurbished hotel is a real find suited in a great location, a 20 walk from Montmartre, The Louvre and a 30 minute walk from the arc d'triumphe.

The hotel is really close to the metro station, eiffel tower, musee de Louvre, arc of triumph and many other major places you have to visit.

We loved this hotel for many reasons: the location was excellent and close to a Metro station.

We walked pretty much everywhere from the hotel (it‘s about 20 minutes to Les Halles) and if you need, there is a Metro station 2 minutes away.

I wanted a place near gare du nord and walkable to Seine.

My husband and I arrived at Gare du Nord & decided to walk 15mins from the station to the hotel.

We did walk to Champs ellyse, The Triumph, Eiffel tower, Louvre and notre Damme and back, no problem
And only 1,4 km from Gare Du Nord.

We felt that Ihab, the front desk man on duty when we arrived, was especially helpful and efficient in booking our onward transport to the Gare du Nord and ensuring that we got a room as early as possible.

After a short 15-20 minute walk from Gare du Nord we arrived early and were able to leave our suitcases with reception so we could start exploring the city.

We had a train from Gare du Nord next day and commuting was breezy – just a bus ride for 3 mins.

Conveniently located, metro (Grand Boulevards for lines 7&8) 3-4' mins away, bus 48 (for Gare du Nord) stops around the corner, you can easily walk to main shopping malls in some 15 mins.

Very comfortable rooms, excellent location (metro stop 1 minute walk away), friendly and helpful staff, excellent services (for example free soft drinks from 2pm to 2am), good intercontinental breakfast.

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

Lovely hotel, has all the amenities, you have a mini bar with soft drinks in your room refilled every day, a safe and a kettle, we had breakfast buffet with plenty of choice, after 2pm you can get free tea coffee, snacks, big area if you want to eat food or chill.

The room was surprisingly roomy, and the King bed very comfortable.

Generous breakfast, open bar afternoons (with reciprocal privileges at other Astotel hotels, all on the right bank), tea/coffee-making tray in room, large, beautifully decorated and comfortable lounge area (we were there on a very rainy day and chose to spend some of it reading inside for a cozy break after a month of too many cities).

Superior room was great , lots of room, small balcony, huge comfortable bed, large bathroom & shower…loved the bright & modern decor.

Friendly efficient staff, delicious pancakes at breakfast, a free soft drink minibar in the room and I had a bath and a balcony in mine which really made a difference to my stay. The common areas are fun (and currently decorated for Halloween!)

The soft bar downstairs was great with snacks and soft drinks from 2pm to 2am.

There are so many nice touches such as free coffee and soft drinks and snacks in the day and a free soft drink bar in your room.

In the afternoon, soft drinks, coffee, biscuits, candy etc are available.

We never needed to purchase soft drinks or water as the staff provided an assortment of offerings throughout the day.

Good size room and bathroom and lovely relaxed communal area downstairs where they have free soft drinks and snacks available in the afternoon / evening.

The breakfast is good (fruit salad, cereals, eggs, bread/crossaints)  and coffee/tea and soft drinks are always on tap.

It came with complimentary drink in the room and also complementary drinks hot and cold soft drinks in the lobby from 2pm to 2am.

Breakfast buffet great and fact you can get soft drinks and snacks free most of the day a real bonus.

There is so much going for this hotel, the most comfy bed in any hotel, breakfast, inclusive snacks and refreshments in the bar, free restocked soft drink mini bar in the room, great shower, sauna and gym, things for kids with awesome rocking horses.

Good breakfast buffet and they have soft drinks and snacks in the lovely bright lounge throughout the day.

As usual the hotel staff and management was at their best , always there to help and to make sure you are enjoying your stay.

That benefit allowed us to take a break and recharge at various spots near places like the Arc de Triomphe and Sacred Heart Basilica before heading back out on our exploration of the great city.

From here we were able to easily get to Montmartre, the louvre, champs Elysee and the arc du triomfe, the Eiffel Tower, and endless restaurants, patisseries and shopping.

We walked from the Arc de Triomphe to the hotel - it was a great way to explore.

We walked to the Arc de Triomphe which took about an hour that was an extremely pleasant trip.

Only 5 mins walk to the Louvre, and a wonderful 25-30 min walk to the Arc or the Eiffel tower.

The staff were able to provide ideas for visiting the sites and were also able to book tickets for Seine cruise, Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre.

It is easy to walk to and from the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower and Montmartre etc as long as you are reasonably mobile (and have comfortable shoes!).

We walked to the Louvre, Musee d’Orsey, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Musee Rodin.

You are close to the Louvre and the City Island where Notre Dame is - other sites (Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe) are a little far,

We were able to enjoy coffee and a clean restroom near Arc de Triomphe and Saint Honore.

Bedroom spacious, spotless with large, fluffy bathrobes and towels.

Hotel is very comfortable and clean in a good location.

The front desk provided great information and recommendations and the service staff ensured excellent cleanliness at all times.

We had 3 rooms for a family vacation and they were all sparkling clean and comfortable.

Great service, very clean rooms, a rich breakfast, and an open bar for almost the entire day, are the ingredients for a perfect 4 stars hotel.

For couples that are happy to walk around Paris - the hotel is situated about 20mins from Notre Dame cathedral, 25mins from the Louvre museum & around 45mins/an hour from the Eiffel Tower & The Arc De Triomphe.

I disagree strongly with those saying this neighborhood isn't great, the Metro is literally across the street, there are 2 mini arc-de triomph's with a block or two, super interesting ethnic variety nearby (we ate at a great Indian restaurant that was opened Sunday and 10 minutes away) the Pompidou is way close by, Louvre < 1 mile etc.

In fact, for those with walking boots, Paris is definitely a walking city. We managed to visit both Montmartre and the Arc de Triomphe (via Marks and Spencer's!!!)
