However jam dispensers constantly empty, pancakes and waffles cold and the breakfast room itself freezing!

Negatives
Main big problem in Paris heat- no refrigerated air conditioning, they only have evaporated air conditioning.

The air con could have done with being turned up a notch in the hot weather.

We were besieged with electrical issues due to a faulty iron…twice it blew all the power points on two separate days….ultimately fixed after a couple of requests.

As regards the rest of the hotel, the service at the reception desk was poor in respect that we had explained the air conditioning issue to one of the receptionists who was going to fix the matter whilst we were out.

The website, app, and every document related to this hotel reservation indicated A/C would be available.

The air conditioning wasn't working the room was sooo hot!couldn't open windows because of noise.

The air conditioner struggled to keep up with the warm summer days in Paris, so sleeping was a bit sticky,

Stuff tells me that "AC is the same in all rooms".

The night before we left they offered us to change rooms, providing not feedback on the AC.

On the first night we arrived the air conditioning wasn't working satisfactorily, we reported this to reception and the next day they said they had changed the filter and it was (very slightly) better,

After 3 nights of waking up drenched in my own sweat and having considered all options (virus, aircon, stress, etc) I finally checked the bed and realised Novotel, a 4 star hotel, uses plastified matrass covers right under the bed sheet.

No portable heater available even I requested for one.

This could be such a good hotel if it would only do something about it's heating system!

Even so, we had only one outlet that was working in the whole unit.

For a 4 star hotel, the a/c definitely wasn't up to scratch and the breakfast was a mess - they could arrange two areas especially during high season.

The only complaint I might have was the air conditioning was not too powerful

They came to check the a/c and they said that it would not get colder.

An omelette chef on hand and plenty of bacon and eggs if thats your thing.

it was a good experience, breakfast was ok , room was clean.

The whole experience at Novotel Les Halles was amazing, with comfortable rooms and a delicious and diverse breakfast buffet.

Very good hotel, perfect location (there is a metro station right in front of it), outstanding breakfast (really good), the staff is very friendly and helpful (specially Paulo that speaks Portuguese and helped us Brazilians with some great insights about the local restaurants).

This very nice hotel provides value for money in terms of location (atop a transport hub), great breakfast, nice and proficient staff.

Restaurant (for breakfast and dinner)  is very nice and the food excellent as well.

Breakfast was ok - great omelette station and nice pastries/cheeses.

But the worse was a fire drill that launched the alarms at 120db and where we were instructed by hotel personnel to stay in our room for several minutes.

Cons: 
in the middle of construction - loud construction noises/banging/drilling starting 10am everyday for the entire 6 days we stayed.

Negatives:
1) Currently, there are some road constructions going on, so hard to get Uber to come by.

There was some construction on the streets and some roads were closed so maybe that's the reason why the driver couldn't get any closer or maybe he didn't know the right way.

Hopefully all this construction work will be done soon and this will no longer be an issue.

Someone wrote about some metro construction, it´s all done now, and you can acces the metro-rer-station right on the front door of the hotel (exit Porte m. de Navarre).

NB, there is no place for taxi to come  near to the hotel due to the construction going on  (No problem for the noise).

The only disappointments were the slow check in and the noisy construction work outside,

The only inconvenience was getting to the hotel by taxi due to the construction work which is almost complete.

We found out that the construction has been ongoing for about a year.

Only downside is that it's under construction, so taxi cannot take you to front.

The construction around the hotel, which was a bit of a bummer, will be done by September.

The location's construction problem was not so bad because we didn't have massive suitcases.

The construction (for a metro station entrance/exit) in front of the hotel is almost over and should make it even better connected with the metro lines.

The roads surrounding the hotel are under construction which makes UBER and TAXI drop offs a little difficult

Location is very central, walking distance to Louvre, Notre Dame, Metro (Les Halles) and the only issue is that because of the construction to Les Halles, taxis couldn't drop us at the hotel

but only after construction is fully completed.

The Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay, St. Chappelle, Luxembourg Gardens, Pantheon, and many more places.

I had a super comfortable bed, a luxurious bath tub, impeccable & friendly service, tasty breakfast, beautiful interior decor throughout the hotel, with a fabulous location to explore Paris.

The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast fresh and plentiful, and the whole family enjoyed the pool and spa facilities, especially the water massage bed!

we were in a standard room, so the others are presumably even nicer

✅ Complimentary coffee and cake in the afternoon 
✅ Excellent coffee machine, pods cos tangly replenished

✅ Nice vibe in the lounge, with books, a chess board and an honesty bar

Just to be a pedant & mention a con, the sauna doesn’t really warm up properly (or takes a long time).

The fridge was well stocked and the coffee in the room was yummy.

The staff was five stars plus - they were all so nice and helpful (front desk, bellman, housekeeping, breakfast staff).

The breakfast every morning was an additional bonus.

Very comfortable beds and pretty breakfast room.

Breakfast was straightforward with decent selection of food options.

We also received complimentary breakfast.

And we enjoyed the breakfast she prepared for us, plus the lovely terrace where we ate.

We skipped the breakfast because there were many cafes in walking distance for a coffee and croissant.

Breakfast and afternoon tea was excellent.

They have lovely breakfast if you choose and cocktails in the after/evening.

The breakfast setup and attention to detail wonderful.

Across the Place, there was construction of a new multi-story building, so noise was a problem between around 8am to 5pm approx.

There was construction going on, so the small square facing the hotel was quite noisy at times.

The bedroom overlooked the opera area which is sadly under construction on the lower level

One thing it was not good is the front of the hotel(^_^;)It was middle of construction

but had wished they warned us about the construction.

The nearest metro station (Richelieu Drouot) was closed for construction,

The issue that compromised our stay was the construction.

My only complaint was that there was some hideous construction going on nearby that woke everyone up at 8 am with earth shattering crashing,

It's a rare thing, so imagine how disappointing it was on our 2 night stay in Paris, one of the few times we might have actually been able to sleep past 6:30am, to be woken up at 8am sharp by loud construction.

There was some construction going on out in front of the hotel during our visit, which made for a less than spectacular building facade and entrance,

but the sidewalk is still cut up, so I suspect there may be follow-on construction at a later date.

Would have been very quiet if not for the noise of road construction -no fault of hotel!

It spoilt breakfast having a pneumatic drill about 2 foot away from you and the noise was deafening.

I loved that they kept the original ceiling wool construction and just painted to match the interior.

There was some construction noise in the morning from an adjacent building and they play music in the hallways almost 24 hours a day it seemed.

It's very close to the Louvre, the Opera, all the shopping on Hausmann and still within walking distance to Notre Dame and Luxembourg Gardens, although it's a long walk to those last 2 locations,

Cons were that two of our rooms were quite small, the lift could be slow to arrive, and there was some kind of strong perfume in the lobby most days.

although rooms are a little small, the facilities and team are amazing.

The room was small and the balcony view was the wall of another building, so we didn’t use it.

I will say the rooms are a bit small by American standards,

As the floor space in the room is compromised by the main stairwell, we did find the shower room particularly small so perhaps ask for another room if space is an issue.

The fitness room is very basic - no hand weights, the room was on the small side and the air con wasn't up to much, so we wouldn't recommend staying there in the height of summer.

Our room was very small and definitely did not have a King size bed as advertised for all rooms.

but I we picked a small room since we were moving around town.

That being said, the room was very small, barely holding a queen side bed.

but the food we were provided with was abysmal, barely edible and was totally disorganised and almost grudgingly provided.

The evening dinner and varied items for breakfast was superb.

It’s in an ideal  location, great selection of food at breakfast and staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful.

We enjoyed breakfast onsite which offered a wide assortment of choices, including fresh fruit and pastries.

Breakfast had a varied selection and catered well for families.

Comfortable bed, good shower, and breakfast was fabulous - even almond and soy milk for the lactophobic…..

I was invited by French friends who chose this hotel located near the train station, I really appreciated the welcome, the location of the hotel, the comfort of my room, the excellent breakfast, the quality of the cleaning, the fast wifi connection, I will try to return with my wife

USB ports didn't work, had to use main power source to charge mobile phones.

Upon arrival the hotel staff required our employee to provide their own credit card and charged the entire stay on their card.

But be careful of their card keys -- they tend to erase when near metro cards or cell phones.

Only issue I had was I kept having trouble with my card to gain access to the lift to bring me to my room.

I had written to the email address: H5060@accor.com to dispute the charges,

I have NEVER ONCE been asked to retrieve a room card.

For example, our key cards would not work on our second day.

The key card rarely worked and I had to walk down five flights of stairs on two occasions because the key didn’t work in the elevator.

The hotel charges €18 per head and we decided not to take it.

After speaking with a manager he then asked for my credit card as a guarantee to which i replied we were leaving hence they did not need it.

I was charged two times in my credit card and nobody gives an answer.

Regretfully, I do not know his name to get him the credit he deserved

One day's charges were deducted from our credit card instead of blocking and he kept arguing in a rude way when it was pointed out.

Only down side - housekeeping ignored "do not disturb" sign and used our equipment for charging phones.

but they put ~$50 of charges on our bill for breakfasts we did not get; they took it off once we pointed it out.

The receptionist was only interested in selling me an over-priced full breakfast and swiping my credit card (I had paid in advance four months previously).

Electricity seems to be sporadic and seemed weaker at night to charge electronics.

When I asked to speak to someone in charge, I was palmed off each time with an excuse that the manager was not there.

but the beds and bedding wee tattered not fit for a two star
After a night on a rock hard bed we advised reception and were moved to a newer room still tiny but bed was better
We had dinner vouchers for our booking but despite giving vouchers to restaurant were charged after we had left hotel and has not been advised at checkout this is devious and deceptive giving us no opportunity to dispute the charge 
I have emailed for a reversal of charge but still no response 
Not good given we are Accor club members

This is also the area close to the Luxembourg Gardens and St Sulpice and St Germain churches and where the authors of Hemmingway's time used to meet as a literary group.

but it is close to the Metro and walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and Luxembourg Gardens among other things.

Although the room was quite small for a family of 4 we were not in the room long enough for it to be a problem and all the benefits to this hotel more than made up for this.

The rooms were small, AC was a challenge.

the rooms are too small for a international traveller with luggage it is evan difficult to walk inside the room.

The room was too small and they didn’t clean the room well when we left for the day, even the towels weren’t changed, the staff weren’t helpful at all when we tried to ask them for help for a taxi!

Room much too small for a four-star hotel, there wasn't even room to open our suitcase.

The hotel is in a good location around a busy area (you just need to walk around to explore it), room was a bit small for a family of four

Then the room services and the rooms themselves are on time and very clean, so only problem is that the rooms are small.

The room was small (whey you come with three suitcases and two carry on as you are traveling from North America to ski resort and you are doing a stop over in Paris),

With 4 of us in a small room we woke up sweating the first night.

The rooms are small and the bathroom is quite small with an almost useless small bath and a separate shower.

The restaurant is really too small for the number of rooms in the hotel.

The major issue we found is that, our room was particularly small.

Like a lot of other people have commented the rooms are small and very little room to move around.

but the room itself is small (especially the door to the bathroom was from in the middle of the room and the shower room was very tiny).

3 stars is for the very nice lady at the breakfast buffet.

The restaurant also has great food options - offering dinner and breakfast for hotel guests via the cafe next dor (who had amazingly friendly staff).

And the breakfast was tasty, more varied than most, and was held in a small charming restaurant in the hotel ground floor.

Breakfast is excellent the food is very fresh and service very kind.

The meals we had at the hotel (breakfast and dinner), with many good products and value for money.

Our breakfast was included which was perfect.

A delicious breakfast is served in the mornings to help start your day.

Adjoining restaurant also has delicious food and outstanding service.

The breakfast was nice and the staff was courteous at all times.

There's a big spread for breakfast downstairs and delicious cappuccinos.

From the included breakfast to smiling faces every day in Reception and then dinner in the Italian restaurant downstairs - everything was perfect.

but it looked very appetizing and plentiful selection.

Breakfast each morning was robust - the woman who runs this is absolutely lovely and accommodating - plenty of options for all appetites. The front desk was extremely helpful in ordering us a car service during the strike to accommodate all of our luggage (we traveled with 7month old baby so had stroller, luggage etc.)

Awesome location, restaurants everywhere, 5 mins to river & Metro, close to Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dome.

Right near the St. Michel metro, near Notre Dame, St. Germain de Pres, Ile St. Loius, Luxembourg Gardens, the Marais and the Louvre.

The location was fantastic as it was a short walk to Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and many cafes and restaurants.

Walking distance to Notre Dame and Luxembourg Gardens and very close to metro so you can get anywhere easily.

A short RER to Musee d'Orsay and Eiffel Tower, close to Luxembourg gardens and a stroll to the cafes in St Germain.

It's located in the energetic Latin Quarter, near the Notre Dame and the Luxembourg Gardens.

You are also just a short walk from the Shakespeare Book Company, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Seine River (and cruises), Sainte Chapelle and the Conciergerie, Luxembourg Gardens, the Sorbonne, the Pantheon and more.

Luxembourg Gardens are a short walk away, countless restaurants are nearby, and several metro stops are in the vicinity as well.I love exploring new places when visiting the same city twice,

Excellent location; close to metro, Notre Dame, D’Orsay, Luxembourg Gardens, many attractions and restaurants and markets nearby.

Also, because it is in the part of Paris that we love staying in, close to the river, close to Luxembourg Gardens, close to Blvd St. Germain.

This area of the city is filled with nightlife, cozy streets, restaurants and is an easy walk to Norte Dame and the Luxembourg Gardens.

If you're a light sleeper, bring a mask and earplugs - you could hear the noise of the street at night, and sirens in the distance here and there,

but comfortable, the sound proofing are not too good, also it seems to me that the house keeper was in a hurry to finish her cleaning and forgot to supply the coffee bag in few occasions

Quiet and air conditioned rooms, a bit small.

but even on the weekend it was quiet after 11PM (maybe due to less tourists in Aug).

I couldn't sleep because I heard the noise outside until dawn, and

It was noisy, dirty and the room needed attention.

Lots of noise from the street 24/7, so no possibility to sleep with open windows.

However, there was annoying buzzing noise every 90 to 120 seconds in the ceiling by bathroom.

It's an old hotel so the walls are thin and the insulation is minimal between rooms.

but there were spiderwebs on the ceiling needs be cleaned 
we stayed room 518 near by lift tooooooo much noise

but that was still ready loud all another room noise (toilet noice) could hear too easy.

Noisy both inside and outside…bring a white noise machine to block noise and it’s fine.

Situated opposite a bar and could hear the conversation outside clearly.

The walls are quite thin, and we could hear people in the next room coughing and talking.

Small streets in this area can be busy and noisy,

However, it wasn’t very well soundproofed despite the thick stone walls and we were disturbed by other guests.
