 - The only things that were odd were the narrow hallway to the lounge and the small elevator.
 - but kept scrupulously clean, stairwell and lift are tiny but what do you expect in the heart of Paris?
 - Only need to point out that the lift is small and just fit 2-3 person to get it.
 - The elevator is also very small.
 - The only downside - which didnt bothered me much - is that the reception is quite small, and we had to carry the luggage thru a few steps then inside a very tiny elevator that can only fit like two adults.

 - In some respects the hotel is indeed “pocket-sized” as self-described (e.g., “lobby” is more of a small sitting area for 2-3; also the maximum for persons in the lift.
 - The only things that were odd were the narrow hallway to the lounge and the small elevator.
 - Sometime it takes a while for the elevator to arrive.
 - these is not a 4 stars, is a 2 stars renovated, the room, the bed and the bathroom are very bad, the reception non existent, the elevator and the escalator are very limited and dangerous, one hand towel for a couple, breakfast elemental in a small basement
 - The elevator (lift) was so small that only 3 of us could us it at a time.

 - We had an early departure on our final day in Paris, before breakfast was being served.
 - However, we do enjoy the Bisrto La Departure on the corner of St. Michelle and the Seine.
 - On site, they greeted me with smiles as well as helped with a departure issue per SNCF working on train line to CDG.
 - They recently opened up the breakfast area early for us because we had an early morning departure!!

 - There is a Monoprix grocery store down the road and a 15 minute walk to Jardin of Luxembourg.
 - During my stay, I easily walked to Notre Dame, Luxembourg Garden, the Sorbonne, and La Marais.
 - It is located on the left bank (5th arrondissement) in the Latin Quarter with Notre-Dame de Paris, the Seine, and Luxembourg Gardens.
 - So many great restaurants right outside the door and just a short stroll to Notre Dame Cathedral and many other attractions including Luxembourg Garden.
 - Located in heart of Latin Quarter, easy walking distance to Notre Dame and Luxembourg Gardens, steps from RER and Metro.

 - If room neighbours are noisy, it can be difficult to sleep, since the walls between rooms are thin.
 - I value a good night's sleep in a tranquil environment and that wasn't possible in my room.
 - but I only used it for sleeping, so no big deal.
 - Someone was playing the saxophone on the street at 1 in the morning, so even with the windows shut, it was hard to get sleep.
 - but I’ll probably spend at least 1/2 of my time in paris catching up on my sleep and half of my day today remedying this horrific mistake.

 - The metro and RER station of Saint-Michel Notre-Dame provides very convenient and direct access to the hotel from Gare du Nord and Aeroport de Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
 - The breakfast was great & convenient.
 - Very friendly and helpful staff and so convenient for restaurants, bars (the brilliant Monk/Taverne de Cluny just along the road).
 - Also very convenient to the train from CDG airport and to the Paris Metro.
 - I have stayed in the Hotel du Levant a number times in recent years which is a recommendation. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location in the St Michel area and is surrounded by many restaurants serving a variety of menus.

 - Breakfast as expected was a traditionally French affair: a fresh croissant (delicious) and an ‘artisan’ baguette (tough), boiled eggs, ham, cheeses, and cereals.
 - A pleasant part of our stay was breakfast, which was included: fresh croissants, pain au chocolat and other breads, meats, cheeses, boil your own fresh eggs, cereals, fruit, tea, and coffee.
 - I honestly think they served the best croissants! .
 - If all you need is a croissant, you’ll be happy.
 - Breakfast was very nice with typical coffee, tea, croissants, meats, cheese and yogurt.

 - but rooms are serviced by one very small (almost claustrophobic) and extremely slow elevator; it was quicker and easier to take the stairs. 3.
 - Yes, the rooms, bathrooms, and elevator are small as is the breakfast room.
 - –– and, by the way, the elevator is also tiny.
 - The elevator only fits one person.
 - A staffed reception desk is also a good security measure, as no one can enter the elevator or the stairs to the guest rooms without passing by a staff member at the reception desk.
