The staff was wonderful, breakfast perfect and tasty, and the room functional and clean, the beds super comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable, Wifi worked great, included breakfast was a bonus.

Breakfeast was very sufficient to start your day.

We had a beautiful little balcony and Some really Nice typical french breakfast!

Staff was nice and helpful, rooms were quiet and the breakfast was good.

Breakfast was served in the room due to Covid, was a decent breakfast.

Negative:
* Hotel door does not block a lot of sound, you hear a lot of noise through it.

The toilet, on the other hand, was a bit small, my knees knocked against the door.

When I twice dropped the soap I seriously hit my head on the sharp door handle on the way up.

And this was the only hotel we have ever stayed in that asked you to leave your door key card at reception when going out. Why?

I do not find this satisfactory compensation for not having a functioning door lock.

Lift very slow, the front door is automatic

My door did not open due to a failed mechanism.

In fact, I had to carry the chair from the desk to the front door of the room so that I could sit and work on my laptop to get a good signal.

The door of our room actually has a small gap between the door and floor.

Wall was thin paper, It easy to hear TV sound from next door, of course conversation are.

Staff: "Yes, go ahead, the door us unlocked"

although there is airconditioning we chose to sleep with the french doors wide open and the conditioner off.

The hotel is very close top Gare de Lyon, which makes it also very close to the Paris Islands, Bastille, Louvre, Les Halles, etc.

After a hot day travelling from London, the hotel was easy to find and perfectly located for catching my train the following morning.

The hotel is literally across the street from the station and surrounded by restaurants featuring different cuisine.

It is a charming restaurant with personal & friendly service, nice wine and good food.

The area is well lit and plenty of restaurants along the street so we felt very safe.

There is a great restaurant, recommended, on the corner and a lovely place to eat, drink wine and relax.

Like the location; easy walking access to train and metro; friendly and/or helpful staff; modern room; and solid breakfast.

Breakfast is $19 for age 12 and up and had variety selections of food.

We did the buffet for breakfast a few times and it was good when comparing to Paris prices.

Room was awesome and the buffet food and service was excellent.

They served an excellent breakfast buffet downstairs with Nespresso included which was great.

Breakfast was the best ever at a Holiday Inn with a very good buffet.

Furthermore, the breakfast was great with a great number of items to choose from.

I got bad advice from train station staff and got out from the wrong side of the station and had to lug my luggage around the station.

It was clear that Philipe didn't take his promise seriously or at best case forgot altogether, since he hadn't acted after almost two months.

Don’t expect any help with your bags in this holiday inn hotel also i had to put them in the hotel carriage my self and drag it to our room.

but this was absolutely not the case here.

but this one came up quite cheap for the time we were going and was only a very short distance to the Gare de Lyon, where we would be taking a train to the south, laden with too many suitcases.

One of our bag didn't arrive and they received it at midnight and kept until morning.

but that only adds to its charm fromt the old fashion gated elevator to the spiral stair cases ( just like everything in Paris).

Great location, close to Gare de Lyon, lots of local restaurants and within walking distance of many tourist attractions.

The location of this hotel is excellent being next to the Gare de Lyon metro.

The hotel is a five minute walk from Gare de Lyon so the Holiday Inn is extremely convenient, with excellent eating options nearby and good access for both Metro and RER, so don't be deterred by the insalubrious flashing yellow sign of the dodgy establishment next door.

Melodie arranged for late check out and when she saw I had difficulty talking to my driver, she helped tell the driver details on pick up location in French.

One big plus this time was that the room was much quieter than last time--seems like better windows and doors.

Rooms large, very clean and with every amenity we required (great air-conditioning/mini-fridge/USB charge points/shampoo, conditioner etc in bathroom).

We loved the small balcony our room provided.

Cozy room proved to be a better way to start the day than the 5 star room without a view in another hotel.

Of special note is the design of the rooms with new build in bedside furniture.

As you would expect the rooms are very comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and efficient.

Rooms are quite large compared to most Paris hotels .

I was thrilled to be offered a room with a balcony which meant I could see snow fall in Paris.

The rooms are freshly renovated with old style high ceilings, and they are large by Parisian standards.

Our rooms on the 2nd floor were quiet, spacious, extremely clean, and the beds were super-comfortable.

They let us have the room as early as mid-morning and gave us free late check-out, since they weren`t full, probably due to COVID.

The rooms were good and clean when compared to Paris standards.

After getting into the room we discovered that the previous guest had locked the safe; back downstairs I went and requested help.

All staff at front desk, maid in hall at our arrival who had to let us in the room since keys didn't work, after I showed her my room key card, until I returned downstairs, and breakfast staff top notch!

Key card was required to turn on/off entire room, so electricity isn't wasted when you leave and hallway lights were on motion sensors.

It took ages to print the key and to swipe our card and then a very long time to get our drink.

however after phoning front desk to report this there was someone there in less than five minutes with new room keys to another room.

I walked up the three sets of stairs each time I went up (twice in a row once after I discovered I'd locked myself out of the room by putting the room key next to my phone) in an attempt to walk of the damage done by brioche, croissants and cocktails!

but couldnt enter the hotel lobby as the Revolving Entrance door was locked for security and could be opened only by the guy at the Front Desk who was not present when we reached and so had to wait.

On our return to the hotel, a week later, we were given a key card for a room on the 5th floor.

The lights were operated by putting your room key in the slot near the door, which no one told us.

The room was so small that the bathroom door hit the bed when it opened.

The bath was small (as expected for Paris),

The layout of the room is silly with a giant heavy 8 ft. metal door dividing the tiny bathroom from the barely larger bedroom.

I had been told that Parisian hotel bathrooms are very tiny, with no place to store your stuff.

The shower is relatively small and you have to stand under the "rain-forest" shower-head to open the door.

(I would be better off buying new clothes) We has to wait for the guy to pick up the laundry.

even though I could not get the TV to start, we waited and took a nap.

The only thing I disliked about this hotel, is that while waiting in the lobby, I noticed a small mouse running around.

but even so we never had to wait long for the remaining lift.

Many times we had to wait some time for it to arrive, then to find no one in it, yet other

Each time we had to wait 10-12 minutes for someone to call us back..
