Sadly on check out you will be forced to pay at least part in cash or be charged an excess.

Only thing is that they don't accept credit card for check out so make sure you have cash.

One note of advice, the Melrose Hotel does not take credit cards, so have cash (there are also plenty of ATMs around).

They only want cash and there are about 5 bank-omats up by the park entrance so that is not a problem.

The only drawbacks are that the hotel is cash only, and the wifi was spotty and only worked sometimes.

Unfortunately they accept only cash and the site of Pamukkale is not so close if you don't have a car.

From the previous reviews I understand the place burned down in September 2018 which is really sad.

I was so tired the first night and went to sleep thinking “cold a/c, sheets smell like fresh laundry”.

I wish that there would be less smoking in the outside breakfast area.

We booked a nice big room and got a smelly little closet with a broken heater unit and icy air whistling through the broken bathroom window.

The washing also came back damp which was disappointing.

A friend got hers done, had to ask for it repeatedly, 3 days later got some damp laundry back right before we had to leave.

We appreciate Melrose House Hotel picked us up from the disgusting hotel(Artemis yoruk Hotel),then we could took a rest in the early morning.

The only strange thing were pillows - they are sprayed with a very pungent perfume, don't know why.

It had rained the day we arrived, therefore our room felt damp and smelt musty.

but there were a few country odours at times!

but if you are like me and have a sensitive sense of smell, then you might find it uncomfortable in here.

After Day 1 of touring Pamukkale, we had a few hours to burn on Day 2.

There was quite a bad drain smell emanating from the bathroom, so we kept both doors closed.

For me it meant noise i didn't want and second hand smoke I didn't enjoy.

I can still have my mouth water at the thought of it, let alone that i smell the fragrance of it too!

I think its almost 5-7 minutes walk from he first pool so you can imagine how close it is.

A pool is missing :-) A very good place to stay.

but it's convenient with the thermal pools pretty much on your doorstep, little snack shops and the food street less than a minute away.

Staff drove us up to the entrace gate of the pools straight away and even took us down the road to the minibus departure point.

This little hotel has a perfect position, near as it is to the famous travertine pools.

I was able to walk up through the travertines and visit some sections of the Hierapolis, and watch the sunset while bathing in the travertine pools.

The boss of the hotel is so generous that he offered us pre-check in( very early in the morning) and free drop to bus station and Pamukkale pools.

Would be nice to have some hangers in the bathroom, also something like that at the balcony too, as many people attend travertines, Cleopatra pool or hotel pool so need to dry swimming suits somewhere later.. Staff were helpful, explained about the site and gave us a map.

A nice little hotel with very clean rooms and helpful staff and a 2 minute walk from the town park and the gate to the pamukkale pools.

The swimming pool is easily accessed and is of a decent size and comfortable to sit around too.

The hotel also looks nice, with a nice garden to drink in, wifi is efficient and the owners have negotiated the use of the swimming pool in the hotel next door.

This hotel is in a wonderful location,2 minutes from the ticket office for the travertines.It is clean and attractive and has a very good restaurant which serves good food,including a lady making fresh gozlemes to order.A good turkish breakfast is included in the very reasonable price.It is owned by a family of 10 brothers and one sister.They also own the hotel next door.When we went the pool at the Ozbay was closed for renovation

Ozbay shares a swimming pool with hotel immediately next door and there is a gate from Ozbay to the pool.

The hotel is fully equipped with internet access, cable TV, pool and even a Jacuzzi in their family room.

My stay at Ozbay was perfect,  the staff was very kind and the room was clean and spacious,  the location is perfect just 5 min walking to get the travertines of pamukkale.

Ozbay hotel is a dingy, foul smelling little inn.

but lit by just one lamp insufficiently (especially for shaving), featured a very loud fan (no window), a door not closing firmly, a dripping toilet tank and in the morning an unpleasant smell.

but the room was covered in mold (see photos)!!!

Only negative thing was smell from the sink drain in the bathroom.

The only issue we hyad was a weird salty smell in the bathroom.

The furniture was old and shabby and there was black mold on the wall next to the bed.

There is a slight sewer smell present in the bathroom like we had in Cuzco, Peru

The toilet in the dorm room was disgusting with stains and we would never sit on it.

My stayed in Pamukkale was like a dream thanks to the humanity and the hospitality of all there in the hotel!

but that really have taken me aback, especially from the amazing hospitality I have gotten even from much cheaper hostels.

Without doubt it's the best place to stay in Pamukkhale - these people know the hospitality industry!

We (2 couples), stayed in Ozbay Hotel in august for 2 nights and had an amazing experience.

The hospitality of the hotel owner makes us so at home.

He introduced Mr Osman who arranged our next trip of cappadocia (ballon flight & green tour), good experience.

I stayed at the Ozbay hotel for 1 night in early July and had a very nice experience.

Ozbay family, who own and manage the hotel, was awesome in their hospitality and taking care of their guest.

Me and my friends stayed there for 2 days and we had a wonderful experience.

(Which was delicious) they arranged a trip to Kaklık for me that was very cheap and Ali arranged a free ride to Selçuk.

Ali arranged a trip for us to Pamukkale, to a wonderful SPA in one of the hotels that we loved loved loved and he also took us to a very local restaurant to try a local food; soft and tender lamb cooked in firin (stove) for few hours served with  "burnt ayran".

the best stay of my life was in this hotel, Ozbay hotel place like no other you enjoy Turkish breakfast and too delicious dishes made by chefs Ahmed and Umer, they organize evenings of which you can dance ,eat , drink raki and do  acquaintance with other people from all over the world, a very nice and welcoming family, they do not hesitate to give you all the information you will need for your trip to Turkey.

Breakfast was hearty and the manager helped organise a quick day trip to Aphrodisia and Ladoikea whilst waiting for my meeting the next day.

Though people usually come as a day trip, I would definitely recommend staying overnight to allow for more time just enjoying the unique qualities of the area.

The price is the lowest (29 Euro) on our 12 days Turkey trip.

Although we were breaking journey there for just one night on our road trip from Cappadocia to Izmir, we were very happy with the service we received by the family that ran this guest house.

My friend and I went on a day trip to Pamukkale and needed a place to store our big backpacking backpacks.

They also arranged (free) pickup at the hotel for the return trip to Denizili - the hotel highlight of my stay in Turkey.

The staff helped with arranging tours and paragliding trip.

The three brothers who run the hotel are thoughtful and very helpful helping with planning or arranging trips , buses and taxis .

The highlight of our stay was dinner the night  we arrived.The food was fantastic and easily the best food I had on the trip.

Turkey should stop advertising and enticing travelers to this area since the TRAVERTINES are pretty much empty with not much water in their pools and turning black with mold.

The water was a little weak in the shower

Water is selling at 1TL for a bottle (1L).

There are few minor room issues mostly cosmetic than functional like minor wallpaper peels, one small part of the corner wall looked like water has damaged it, no storage/ hanging space for clothes, and no block out curtains.

We were uncomfortable with the leopard-themed bedsheets: Hotels use white bedsheets in order for staff and guests to confirm cleanliness at a glance and also clean them easily and in high water temperature.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the only negative things we could say would be that the water pressure in the shower is low and the bathroom lighting poor for shaving or applying make-up if you are a lady,these were small things to worry about when compared to everything else and we would definitely return here.

But my husband fixed it in a few minutes (plastic flexible tube for water drainage at the sink should be bend to create U shape so called “siphon barrier” (I guess guys will understand what I’m talking about),

but worth it, and since they appear to be the first hotel on the channel that runs through the town, the water is clean and plentiful (the luxury spa hotel is way down the channel wonder if they have to supplement with ground water?).

I got eaten alive by mosquitoes and then in the morning had the unpleasant experience of a lukewarm shower with mediocre water pressure.

So this, coupled with the noise from the main road and temperamental hot water means that I would not stay here again.

but the big problem was that there was no hot water during our stay.

*Hot water seemed a problem elsewhere in Turkey at this time of year so I was very pleased to have a hot shower each morning!! !

There was no lift for 3rd floor and no good internet--too slow to use properly.

Don’t expect an elevator, fridge, telephone, tea-making facilities, hotel quality bed linen, bedside lights or wardrobe (there are a few hooks on the wall, and a small low cupboard where you can put some stuff).

It is just 5mins walk to the gate of travertines and situated right in front of the park.

Hotel Şahin is a Boutiqe Hotel which is very closed to Pamukkale Natural Park,

We stayed 2 nights there, Eveything was great,

Location is Just opposite to the Park and Entry gate.

The best Landscape, wonderful and defınıtely you must take a photo from the restaurant,

I spent my late afternoon reading at the pamukkale natural park, facing the travertine because it was just a few steps away from the hotel.

The Hotel Sahin is ideally located just a few yards away from the entrance to the park and is an ideal place to stay.

The room with the view on the park is my favourite.

You'll definitely love the view of the thermal pool and the park just accross the street.

The greeted us as we arrived and made sure that we had a park directly outside.

There is free parking at the front of the hotel, and just opposite is the park and the southern entrance to the Travertines.

It's right in front of the national park.

The natural park and thermal pools are just across the road.
