The breakfast I had the next day with a lady from South Carolina I met on the "camino"  was absolutely unforgettable.

She checks everyone in and is also the presenter of breakfast with pride, and it was very good.

This was, hands down, the best breakfast I had in Galicia.

Breakfast was delicious and felt like you were eating at someone’s home.

The work she put into a wonderful breakfast was the amazing.

If you have dinner included the associated restaurant (casa de Camino) is dire with very poor food even for the basic Camino menu

The beds are very comfortable (so important after a days walk on the Camino), the rooms are quiet, and breakfast is delicious.

A very friendly host and a perfectly decorated room.

The reception area is full of treasures, paintings, books, .family photographs and an antique type desk where you provide your details.

Decor was quirky and fun- so much attention to detail.

To start, you will love how beautifully and uniquely decorated the rooms are, making it feel like you are not at a hotel -

Everything was as if it was out of a cute style magazine.

We stayed in room nr.1 which was spacious and very tastfully decorated.

There is a cozy living room in the house where one can sit and talk to the others staying in the house.

but very homey and it was very well appointed with a modern bath.

The interior of the B&B is beautiful, and after a day of walking 15 miles+ it was a welcome and comfortable respite on our way.

The building itself is so beautifully decorated and furnished.

The custom linens matched the wallpaper, the bed and pillows were comfortable and welcoming to weary pilgrims.

I still remember the yummy breakfast they served here, apart from fruit, yoghurt, warm toast with homemade jam, pastries we were served they most delicious eggs, poached egg on a bed of mashed potato and onion with truffle oil.

Lovely poached eggs and the homemade jam was so good.

Next morning the guests were gathered around a large table and the hostess served us a hot egg breakfast with fresh fruits, homemade jams, breads and cakes, fresh orange juice and cafe con leche.

The Pilgrim's eggs for breakfast was a nice change and the homemade apple jam for our bread was delicious.

The bread and muffins were home made as was the jam.

Some things that didn't work so well:  Our room and bathroom were a bit too small for two people.

Room was very small and the bath was tiny.

but  €70.00 for a little single room that was no larger than 6 ft x 8 ft with a tiny bathroom was really overpriced.

The place is gorgeous and whilst the room was a little small it was just right for an overnight stop.

It was a long walk from Portomarin and I was tired when I arrived here. Veronica welcomed us warmly, carried my bag up to my tiny room, showed me the features such as the bathmat, and gave me my key with the words "Welcome to our home!"

but do not judge a book by its cover as inside it’s absolutely gorgeous (we’re talking murals on the ceiling and gold framed paintings on the walls).

It seems that everything in Casa Leopoldo was done with gusto from the linen, to the painting in the walls and ceiling.

The living room is adorable with paintings on the walls, a lot of old furniture etc.

Service was first rate, breakfast was plentiful, and the room was very comfortable.

Breakfast was great and once again the staff gave you personal service with a smile.

After a good sleep and hearty breakfast I was well prepared for another long walk.

Two of our party were lactose intolerant and we were happily informed that they provided lactose free milk and cheese at breakfast.

The buffet breakfast was the best we had of the week, with the waitress coming unprompted to top up our fresh orange juice whenever we finished it.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, not a speck of dust anywhere and the breakfast is plentiful and filling with the same standard of care and attention to detail.

I came across 4 different people on the front desk and each of them was so friendly, something we have not had from hosts on the Camino, breakfast this morning was the same, lovely smiley staff who couldn’t do enough for us, thank you so much for a fabulous stay and your amazing service

As we wanted to leave early they offered us a picnic breakfast, it was by far the best picnic breakfast we had.

Rooms at this hotel are immaculately clean, beds are comfortable, the breakfast in the morning was plentiful and there was an excellent choice of meats, cheeses, fruit, bread, yoghurt, cereals, eggs, pastries and hot drinks.

The buffet breakfast was included in our room and we enjoyed it,

Breakfast was delicious ,  again so clean and we left refreshed after a lovely stay with gracious hosts.

This really was the best vegan breakfast - home made apple cake, plenty of fresh fruit, soya milk, unlimited toast and coffee and excellent service.

On arrival to this hotel after a long walk, we were met with a friendly reception which was lovely, they showed us places on the map that might interest us, asked if we would like breakfast or a picnic to go, we chose a picnic as we had a long 30km walk the next day and wanted an early start.

You can also get your laundry done and the picnic breakfast kept me going for the entirety of the next day!

Our host immediately took our outer clothes and walking boots to their drying room - no charge.

It wasn't kept in the room as we were told the guests used it to dry their clothes.

Even had an area to dry clothes overnight.

The laundry service is expensive (but you can wash your pilgrim's clothes in the sink, and there's a leave where you can hang them).

Little oddities were the warning about the Internet going off at 10pm, a sign about no clothes drying in the windows, getting instructions on what you can and cannot do.

Bathroom had a small bath with a shower over.

Bathroom is a bit small and tad out of date.

This is what we would expect from a hotel with a much higher star rating. Mind you, the room was small and basic (what did we expect!)

Her knowledge and explanations were fantastic, and she even came upstairs with me to show me my room.

The receptionist greeted me personally each time I was in and out of the hotel which was lovely.

Everyone at this lovely small hotel was so welcoming.

Arrived after walking several hours in the rain on the Camino & the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly.

The reception staff at the hotel were very helpful, advising on places to eat, times for mass, and the route for us to walk to the Castle at Pambre.

Such a helpful and personable response from the hosts, who went out of their way to welcome us,and provide information.

This hotel is a relief from the 'stiff' receptionists in the other hotels we have stayed in the camino trail.

Firstly the customer service from the moment you walk through the door is second to none - the staff really go out of their way to help you.

we were escorted up to our room, which our bags were already in, the service was phenomenal.

The staff were very friendly and couldn't do more for us.

As soon as we stepped through the entrance, after a long, challenging day, we were greeted warmly by Francisco and his assistant, Manuel.

After a long trot on the Camino it was lovely to be welcomed so graciously at reception to Casa Benilde and given a little sympathy in our aching legs.

The room had a tub shower combo which we were extremely thankful for since we needed to soak our poor feet after the walk from Palais de Rai.

The best place after long day walking on the Camino.

It was the only place on our walk where we were asked if we had any allergies/intolerances.

My friends and I walked the final stage of the Camino de Santiago last week.

We stayed here last night as we are walking the Camino, this was the best stay we have had in 21 days.

This included air conditioning which was very welcome after a long hot walk.

This was mid way through my walk on the Camino and a delightful, warm experience, especially when you’ve been travelling solo.

We were a group of three walking the Camino.

Room was lovely and clean, no bath unfortunately, wifi and tv, also bags were in the room on arrival (its the little things after a long walk you appreciate) On leaving we got a free hat with Casa Benilde written on it.

Hotel is in a great location just near the Camino walk, and close to several good restaurants.

They serve dinner (hands down my best meal on the Camino) and breakfast; dinner was~ 25 euro and breakfast ~8 euro.

This was one of the Hotel and Restaurant selected for my tour operator for my first CAMINO DE SANTIAGO, it was one beautiful experience, the breakfast complete and perfect for the long day, the service very friendly and all the facilities clean and as expected.

Fresh air, the smell of the earth and woods, authentic village house, delicious food; Casa Roan is a gem in the middle of Galicia, on the trails of Camino de Santiago.

The breakfast and evening meal were excellent.

Dinner and breakfast were nice, and they promptly returned us to the Camino the following day to resume our walk.

Dinner was plentiful, beautifully prepared, on a par with a very fine restaurant.

But the food - oh my gosh -- the food and wine at dinner, the food at breakfast -- was exquisite.

I texted my husband in the States just to let him know my whereabouts, as it still seemed pretty crazy to get in the car under those circumstances.

Fabulous food, fabulous accomodation wonderful service.

The food was incredible, the service was exceptional, the rooms were immaculate - it was all just a lovely experience from beginning to end.

The dinner was a gourmet meal with a choice of beef or goat and salad.

The owner went to great lengths to ensure we were comfortable and meals were right.

Also forgot our lunch and was delivered the next day while back on the Camino .

So I went down at 7 and there was no hint that dinner was anytime soon other then the smell of garlic and cooking from the kitchen.

Our tour company booked this for us and it was very nice.

Beautiful place, very friendly owners, good food, a must stop along the camino route to Santiago.

We thoroughly enjoyed dinner and breakfast was really special.

The room was spacious, the bed so comfortable, and the food delicious.

the red pepper appetizer was so creative and delicious.

After a good night's sleep, a substantial continental breakfast sent us on our way.

Breakfast and dinner were both outstanding.

Bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms excellent and Sue cooked us a most delicious evening meal.

I had an excellent welcome from the owners on arrival and found it to be really comfortable, clean and very friendly with an excellent evening meal and breakfast the next day.

Sue is a chef and her dinner was outstanding and the croissants for breakfast were superb.

The food which is served is delicious and plentiful with variety to showcase some excellent Galician produce.

It was complete with anything anyone would care to have for breakfast.

A gorgeous restored farm house, gorgeous beds, delicious food and amazing hosts.

The accommodation is first class, breakfast and dinner superb

The food is all home made and delicious and they had something to cater for everyone (i'm particularly picky) 
I would most definitely recommend this place for anyone doing the Camino, not just for the convenince of it being next to the Camino

They serve a feast fit for a king at dinner and also a great variety for breakfast.

Breakfast was very good, everything fresh.

Breakfast was good too, fresh squeezed OJ, pastries, etc.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

Breakfast: ham, salami, tomatoes, cheese, cereal, fruits, bread, juice, coffee and tea.

Breakfast was more than most pensiones along the Camino -- lots of options to include fresh fruit.

The breakfast it is good with fresh orange juice.

The breakfast is good - again the dining area is very clean.

Breakfast choice was great, expected level of a hotel not a pension.

The breakfast was good and staff very friendly.

They to have a small breakfast area that they set up a typical European breakfast buffet.

Breakfast was quite good and worth taking on.

You should also take-in the extensive breakfast while staying here.

The pension also offers buffet breakfast for a small price (4/5 euros) per person if you are interested.

Breakfast is E5, with freshly squeezed orange juice.

Breakfast €6 was very good with sweet cakes, toast, breads, cereals, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, freshly squeezed juice, fruit and no limit to amount.

The breakfast was well equipped at €5 and well worth it.

The breakfast was one of the best on the trail - full choice of foods and fresh squeezed orange juice.

Freshly squeezed orange juice and selection of fruits, yoghurts and generally quite a good continental breakfast.

Top marks for this and the freshly squeezed orange juice was amazing!

but the fresh squeezed orange juice made up for it!

The service is top notch, the rooms are clean and heated, and there is a breakfast spread that is a little better than those offered along the Camino.

Rooms were very clean and well presented, very comfortable bed.

We stayed here when’s on the Camino - rooms were clean and comfy ans shower was hot!

On the positive side, you will find a quite new and clean room with a good bathroom.

The room was clean and good value at 32 Euro.

I felt uncomfortable walking alone at night since there were very few people on the street.

Too far from the City Center and you must walk through the darkened abandoned streets to get to the bars and restaurants.

The streets are like a maze with walking streets and stairs.
