The room was disappointing, even before the air conditioner stopped working.

Just before we left to the rehearsal dinner a maintenance man came to fix the AC,

The air conditioning in the room did not work well.

The only complaint we had was the air conditioner was quite loud and woke us up when it kicked on.

Heater sound for that small room is very much disturbing and not able to get sleep and need to be warm in cold winter night.

however we have had some problems with the executive board room HVAC unit not working the last two times.

The   heater in my room was very noisy and I couldn't use my gift cards when booking room on line.

The bathroom was small and didn't have a vent so it made the room quite hot and stuffy also.

Secondly, the room had a strange odor that forced us to turn off the a/c and open the patio door.

There was only one switch over the sink area which also turned on the light and fan in the toilet/shower area, which was very annoying.

Room had an "old hotel" smell like fried food and mustiness, turning up the ac helped some.

Completely outdated hotel and scattered AC makes it undesirable to ever come in the summer.

The air conditioning unit was VERY outdated and loud; it also kicked on and off every few minutes keeping us up at night.

My room a/c unit not working properly, room had a burnt smell to it, and bedding was not comfortable.

I was there a total of 3 hours I believe and most of the time in the room I was freezing trying to figure out the heat and yes I used your out dated phone that only lead me to recordings as I was freezing in your room.

The resort itself is old and outdated - beds are hard and noisy and the A/C unit sounds like a jet turbine engine.

Very very disappointed to the response to my concerns for having a very noisy heater in my room on the third floor.

Carpet was peeling at the seams, couch was torn, dust buildup behind the headboard and end tables.

Could it use new carpet, furniture, wallpaper, and drapery?

The carpet is old and should be replaced with vinyl.

Old dated rooms including carpet, bed spread, and bathroom.

Worn looking carpet, peeling wallpaper, scuffed furniture and not nearly enough outlets to charge portable electronics makes this resort appear shabby and outdated.

Many things are a bit worn generally and need updating, from the hall carpet, to the screens (with holes) on the patio doors.

The hotel is somewhat rundown and needs some simple cosmetic repairs - like paint and carpet.

The outdated dark green wall paper with the dark cabinets and dark carpet mad it feel like a sad apartment.

The carpet has a sizable red stain in front to the sofa.

It was built in the late 1980s and some aspects could use an update, such as curtains, bed spreads, carpets, etc.

The carpet, curtains and the windows were dirty and old.

Carpet in the halls going to the rooms looks like someone spilled paint, then decided to put the paint everywhere to cover up the mistake.

Everyone was very friendly and my check in was late Friday night and went quickly and efficiently with easy parking.

My wife and I had our Sons rehearsal dinner in the Maria’s private room and had a great time with this part of the staff.

Be aware of the new prices and the restaurant being short of staff at Alexandra's.

Everything from the wait staff to the food was perfect!

When I arrived Mark at the front was helpful and even let me use a phone charger.

The staff before and after the wedding assisted us with cart to location and return afterward since my wife had to use a walker and it would have been too far for her to walk.

ALL staff members I encountered showed a heightened level of customer service and efficiency.

Many people said it was the best steak they have ever had at a reception and the food was served hot even after 3 long speeches.

Unfortunately, the AC quit again that night.

but we never got the air to get cold in the room, even turning it down to 68 and running the fan all night.

but once entering the room it was 85 degrees with no working AC.

Upon entering the room it was a large white refrigerator in there, dirt on the walls and a vent opened with a plethora of dust in it.

We got hotel late to be given wrong type of room with broken air conditioner.

Bathroom ceiling paint was peeling & no fan in bathroom.

And thirdly, there’s no fan in the bathroom, so the mirror stays steamy the whole time.

Heating/AC hvac system Is loud and does not work efficiently.

Rooms facing the Beltway were loud with traffic noise, old HVAC was loud.

Also, the heater in the room was extremely loud when it kicked on I usually am able to sleep through anything

and the air that’s blowing is still cold, blowing across the bed.

The HVAC cycling on and off is ludicrously loud.

I second the other comments about the paper-thin walls; unless your neighbors are drowned out by the television and/or the very loud HVAC unit (which continuously cycles on and off), you can hear the intimacies next door.

HVAC unit shuddered on and off every 30 minutes.

We were placed in a room in which the air conditioner didn’t work during 90 degree weather.

Our HVAC system was so loud that it woke us up at night, and the bathrooms definitely need updating.

Rugs smelled of old urine, air conditioner did not work and had a burning smell coming from it!!

Not to mention they had fans drying the carpets because there was a flood.

All the staff at the Front desk were friendly and helpful!!

And, Kay in the bar is so friendly and great!

Again another friendly, hard working and personable employee!

I was greater at the front desk by Angel, who was waiting for me with a big smile and was extremely friendly and efficient in getting me checked in.

Hotel was very easy to get to off of the Beltway, very friendly staff and great breakfast options.

2nd and 3rd floors were under construction due to a recent fire - my room was past the damage and smelled like smoke.

The room was smelly stinky, the floor was under construction.

The room smelled of stale smoke as it it used to be a smoking room and it was embedded in the walls/carpet.

We then where finally given correct type of room that smelled awful.

Some of the floors/rooms as you walked by smelt like cigarette smoke,

It seemed that the carpet was the culprit and it smelled like mold.

Rooms are extremely filthy and not stocked properly.

The hallway and room I stayed in had a strange smell.

The room had a funny odor like the faint smell of pet urine.

I went to the restaurant for breakfast that day, and it was disgusting.

It is October and it’s damp outside after a cold rain day.

The room had holes in the wall, it smelt terrible, and the room was not clean.

The furniture is early 2000's if not older, the carpet is also probably that old because of the constant musty smell, and the dirt in the corners in the rooms was disgusting.

The smell of the entire place was so musty, my colleague and I had to check out after the first night because we both had trouble feeling like we could breathe properly.

While the facilities are aging and need updating we were not expecting a moldy smell in our first room with a water leak from the floor above and very early wakeups from construction noise directly overhead in our second room.

I’m very pleased with the courtesy from the staff.

Jae was very pleasant during our checkin and explained everything regarding our points, how they can be used.

Atherwise, it is a average hotel, with very nice staff members!

I cannot say enough good things about Heaven, Romaine, Telly and Jae at the front desk.

Tra, one of the front desk agents, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant.

Tia, who is a guest Services at the front desk was wonderful.

Jae who is the  front desk person was extremely helpful in linking the two reservations and making a stressful situation into a no stress situation.

I also want to mention Heaven and Jae, 2 other awesome employees.

Tra was so sweet and gave us lots of information that was helpful.

The manager upgraded our room at no additional charge, and gave us discount vouchers for Tark's Grill; the same restaurant we ate the night before our wedding!

however mind that no ownership was taken on managements behalf, you just don't inconvenience people the day before their wedding with no REAL reasoning other than your place of business didn't have the resources available.

I did bring this to the attention of management and they said they would improve this in the future.

We ended up speaking with the manager the next day and worked something out as far as payments go.

I have never, ever spoken to a business manager who is so rude, condescending, and unprofessional as Cristin Kline.

The manager was very cold and not compassionate to our situation.

IN FACT, THE PERSON THAT I DEALT WITH,  CRISTIN KLINE, HAS TO BE ONE OF THE WORST MANAGER'S AROUND.

The manager, Cristin, sent us a letter indicating that they were giving us an extra hour for our reception, and when I confirmed the time, she said that I was trying to be dishonest and steal an hour and refused to honor the HARD COPY of the letter with her signature indicating an extra hour.

There were some obvious internal communication problems with the staff and the owners were not very "hands on" with management and reservations.

When I addressed the broken heating at check out, no apology was offered and the receptionist indicated that she would inform the manager when he arrived.

I called ahead of time to let management kniow we would be arriving late.

I only would ask the the linens be washed without a scent.

Pool was filthy dirty and not even open and needed attention as much as the grounds.

The inn has a very musty odor and has odd artifacts scattered throughout.

We found at least 8 stink bugs in the room.

The room smelled like roses, the balcony and view were stunning, the bed was captivating, the shower was intriguing, whirlpool tub was OUT OF THIS WORLD and the breakfast was fresh and delicious!

LOL   It is an older building, and that shows in a few spots on the moulding, etc.

but quickly realized there was an old filter with coffee from the last room occupant in there. Disgusting.

Depsite what other people think about stink bugs, whether others feel they are harmless or not.

But smelled like..burnt moth balls and air freshener.

Both our bedroom and bathroom were uncomfortably filthy.

Our room was dirty and not well kept -Cobwebs in corners, filthy rug, cracked tiles, etc.

The big rug they had in there was also stained all over the place as well, and looked quite disgusting.

Bring camera, no smoking, charming atmosphere.

The food -- bacon burned to a crisp, french toast doused in cinnamon, an omlette with chewy, undercooked shiitake mushrooms, and strawberries that tasted like onions.

I very much enjoyed chatting with the owner who stopped by during breakfast!

The staff is particularly pleasant and accommodating.

It was a perfect spot for a wedding reception and accommodations.

My daughter held her wedding ceremony and reception at the Gramercy Mansion.

The staff was very helpful and courteous.

Staff were AMAZING - prompting and efficiently accomodating our every request with smiles.

There is no better way to recuperate from a John Hopkins procedure (they give a discount for patients) than being at Gramercy.

The staff were all very kind and attentive.

The owner Anne is the epitome of grace and compassion.

I’ll start with the positives: the staff were mostly friendly and the room was clean and bed comfy.

From the front desk to the kitchen staff everyone was delightful, friendly and helpful.

Even when I checked out at 5 in the morning, electricity back on at home, the gentleman at the desk was as friendly and nice as if it was noon.

The staff was friendly and quick to answer any questions.

After driving for 12 hrs in lots of traffic, the staff at this Hilton Garden couldn’t be more pleasant, friendly and helpful.
