The room was disappointing, even before the air conditioner stopped working.

Just before we left to the rehearsal dinner a maintenance man came to fix the AC,

The air conditioning in the room did not work well.

The only complaint we had was the air conditioner was quite loud and woke us up when it kicked on.

Heater sound for that small room is very much disturbing and not able to get sleep and need to be warm in cold winter night.

however we have had some problems with the executive board room HVAC unit not working the last two times.

The   heater in my room was very noisy and I couldn't use my gift cards when booking room on line.

The bathroom was small and didn't have a vent so it made the room quite hot and stuffy also.

Secondly, the room had a strange odor that forced us to turn off the a/c and open the patio door.

There was only one switch over the sink area which also turned on the light and fan in the toilet/shower area, which was very annoying.

Room had an "old hotel" smell like fried food and mustiness, turning up the ac helped some.

Completely outdated hotel and scattered AC makes it undesirable to ever come in the summer.

The air conditioning unit was VERY outdated and loud; it also kicked on and off every few minutes keeping us up at night.

I was there a total of 3 hours I believe and most of the time in the room I was freezing trying to figure out the heat and yes I used your out dated phone that only lead me to recordings as I was freezing in your room.

The resort itself is old and outdated - beds are hard and noisy and the A/C unit sounds like a jet turbine engine.

Very very disappointed to the response to my concerns for having a very noisy heater in my room on the third floor.

Carpet was peeling at the seams, couch was torn, dust buildup behind the headboard and end tables.

Could it use new carpet, furniture, wallpaper, and drapery?

The carpet is old and should be replaced with vinyl.

Worn looking carpet, peeling wallpaper, scuffed furniture and not nearly enough outlets to charge portable electronics makes this resort appear shabby and outdated.

Many things are a bit worn generally and need updating, from the hall carpet, to the screens (with holes) on the patio doors.

The hotel is somewhat rundown and needs some simple cosmetic repairs - like paint and carpet.

The outdated dark green wall paper with the dark cabinets and dark carpet mad it feel like a sad apartment.

The carpet has a sizable red stain in front to the sofa.

It was built in the late 1980s and some aspects could use an update, such as curtains, bed spreads, carpets, etc.

The carpet, curtains and the windows were dirty and old.

Carpet in the halls going to the rooms looks like someone spilled paint, then decided to put the paint everywhere to cover up the mistake.

The room was very clean and tastefully decorated.

Staffing levels were appropriate, associates were trained and pleasant, banquet food service was very well done and rooms were clean and comfortable.

We paid $179 for this hellish night and were given a $100 gift card for compensation in my eyes that was not nearly enough.

I had a problem witj my billing and bank .

When the woman at the desk eventually appeared she took my credit card and said she had to contact housekeeping to find out if the room was ready.

1) The "view out the window was the garbage bins with a toilet for a bonus and 2) There were no usb ports to charge a phone.

however it does not have a lounge area as other hotels in the area for the price the pool was okay kept experience problems with the key card and breakfast quality could be a lot better.

The only disappointment was they charged for Internet.

When it was billed as "unassuming lodging", I feared we may regret staying there while attending a family wedding nearby.

When I made reservations I gave them my credit card number for holding instead they charged the whole stay right away and refused to refund for the one day.

Because of the awful beds and lack of sleep, I would highly recommend that you stay away from this hotel, especially for the price that they are charging.

Initially I was a little peeved with Hampton Inn because they wouldn't immediately charge my credit card when I booked the hotel in February.

Was not pleased, name was pronounced Erica when it clearly reads Eric on my billing info.

I received a reminder of my reservations about two weeks prior to our planned visit and I was glad because one of our group had canceled and I wanted to cancel that reservation so I wouldn't be charged for it.

Congrats to hotel to put USB charging outlets by the beds.

but wanted to charge me the same fee and offered nothing for the inconvenience of selling my room to someone else.

Of course, they won't tell you about this charge and it will not appear on your receipt at check-out.

Just make sure you know that charges for incidentals will be held up if you pay with a debit card.

Also they have a policy in which they hold an extra $160.00 ( in our case it was taken from our debit therefore the money was cashed) for any incidentals that you may Incur.

Our room is very clean and hallway carpet appears to be new and clean, breakfast is ok too.

The staff are friendly and very professional, the rooms are very clean and neat.

My family and I have stayed here twice this summer and we all were very satisfied with location,  accommodations, staff, complimentary breakfast, snacks and cleanliness of our room.

Plenty of parking and rooms were very clean.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel as it met all of my expectations: clean room, cleaning service daily, comfort in room, awesome breakfast selections daily, safety in and around hotel, great location to get in and out of from Owings Mills/Red Run (once I learned the lay of the land), great trail walk nearby and friendly staff.

If you simply want a clean room and a continental breakfast this is a good layover spot.

The swimming pool was FILTHY and the showers didn't work.

Also, the person(s) smoking weed in one of the rooms on our floor.

My only complaint were some long hairs that I noticed on the inside of the shower curtain which kind of grossed me out and caused me to cut my shower short. Ewww.

It was causing all the adults eyes to burn so bad we had to leave the pool area.

Lobby is from circa 2007 {It is currently 2017}.This is a stale smelling hotel that needs a total redo asap.

My daughter was on the 3rd floor, and their room had the marijuana smell seeping in from somewhere.

The bagels were incredibly stale, the bananas both mornings looked like they would be perfect to make a banana bread (very brown) and there were no berries for yogurt or cereal toppings.

A guest was smoking in their room on our floor, just across the hall, not only the first night ,

but nothing was done to find out who was smoking in their room.

Beds are very hard, my toilet was dirty and I had no tv remote to watch tv.

There was a domestic dispute that spilled into the hallway from one room, and also the room next to us blasted the TV and let their child yell and run up and down the hallway periodically.

but our tv continually froze looking for a signal.

The hotel was REAL nice as well as the front desk people, the breakfast was exceptional the only problem was the lady working the breakfast area was VERY RUDE it looked as if she hates her job when I got down to the area she was sitting with the guest watching tv.

Several Tv programs where not working or of poor quality.

only downside is that the room tv's are a bit on the small side.

The only thing is the TV's need to be update.

The TVs need upgrades to larger sets and then beds are not comfortable as they are hard as a brick.

Our only complaint was that we couldn't get the Yankee ball game on TV.

The TV is too small considering the distance from the bed.

Looking for Hbo ,or maybe the Disney Channel for the kids ?

Only complaint - Not many channels on tv - only local channels.

* TV did not have a guide - had to use the internet.

The TV required no electronic engineering to activate and operate.

The only negative was television reception.

Unfortunately, the AC quit again that night.

but we never got the air to get cold in the room, even turning it down to 68 and running the fan all night.

but once entering the room it was 85 degrees with no working AC.

Upon entering the room it was a large white refrigerator in there, dirt on the walls and a vent opened with a plethora of dust in it.

We got hotel late to be given wrong type of room with broken air conditioner.

Bathroom ceiling paint was peeling & no fan in bathroom.

And thirdly, there’s no fan in the bathroom, so the mirror stays steamy the whole time.

Heating/AC hvac system Is loud and does not work efficiently.

Rooms facing the Beltway were loud with traffic noise, old HVAC was loud.

Also, the heater in the room was extremely loud when it kicked on I usually am able to sleep through anything

and the air that’s blowing is still cold, blowing across the bed.

The HVAC cycling on and off is ludicrously loud.

I second the other comments about the paper-thin walls; unless your neighbors are drowned out by the television and/or the very loud HVAC unit (which continuously cycles on and off), you can hear the intimacies next door.

HVAC unit shuddered on and off every 30 minutes.

We were placed in a room in which the air conditioner didn’t work during 90 degree weather.

Our HVAC system was so loud that it woke us up at night, and the bathrooms definitely need updating.

Rugs smelled of old urine, air conditioner did not work and had a burning smell coming from it!!

Not to mention they had fans drying the carpets because there was a flood.

..because of the hospitality and both rooms were spotlessly clean.

Antonio and Tia were awesome when I arrived the room was clean and the hotel was in a great location for my stay.

We stayed on the 4th floor and our room was clean, the AC worked very well, room smelled great and the beds were very comfy!

Room is impeccable, they are so friendly offer cookie, coffee and lemon water in lobby.

The ONLY positive thing that I have to say is that the maids were polite, and the rooms were clean.

I've stayed at this Doubletree multiple times, and the staff is friendly, the room is clean, and the location is convenient.

This kindness continued as we discovered our freshly made up bed and clean rooms.

2nd and 3rd floors were under construction due to a recent fire - my room was past the damage and smelled like smoke.

The room was smelly stinky, the floor was under construction.

The room smelled of stale smoke as it it used to be a smoking room and it was embedded in the walls/carpet.

We then where finally given correct type of room that smelled awful.

Some of the floors/rooms as you walked by smelt like cigarette smoke,

It seemed that the carpet was the culprit and it smelled like mold.

Rooms are extremely filthy and not stocked properly.

The hallway and room I stayed in had a strange smell.

The room had a funny odor like the faint smell of pet urine.

I went to the restaurant for breakfast that day, and it was disgusting.

It is October and it’s damp outside after a cold rain day.

The room had holes in the wall, it smelt terrible, and the room was not clean.

The furniture is early 2000's if not older, the carpet is also probably that old because of the constant musty smell, and the dirt in the corners in the rooms was disgusting.

The smell of the entire place was so musty, my colleague and I had to check out after the first night because we both had trouble feeling like we could breathe properly.

While the facilities are aging and need updating we were not expecting a moldy smell in our first room with a water leak from the floor above and very early wakeups from construction noise directly overhead in our second room.

I am writing this review at 3:45am because I can no longer battle the noise and pretend/act like I can sleep.

The lobby felt sketchy as there was a disruptive man loudly singing in the lobby during breakfast.

It was a HORRIBLE night for us and a horrendous experience!

The room was uncomfortable hot; the shower sounded like it was constantly running; and other guest were noisy in the hall from 1am-4am.

The problem is the walls are not soundproofed well.

Too loud noise. Front desk were not pleasant except for one( light-skinned heavy set lady)

I hoped to hear that the property owner was taking steps to correct the problem--but I have not.

Following the wedding, I got to the room and found the smoke alarm loudly chirping, needing a battery.

The only thing was I could hear everything in my room on the first floor.

The sole purpose for the suite was bc my son is not capable of sleeping with anyone in the room with him bc he is a very light sleeper, the slightest noise Or light wakes him.

One of the guests on our hallway had a party, and individual were in and out, up and down the hallway, banging on doors, screaming, talking loudly, until 3 am!

Tried to bring it to attention of evening staff who had o interest in hearing what I had to say.

During the day time the noise didn’t bother me

By this time the noise has quieted down so I just hung up and tried to go back to sleep and get my kids to do the same.

It wasn't relaxing; it was just disruptive, so we left.

The rooms were quiet enough that we could not hear all the children unless the door was open.

If you want to pay for your breakfast— have staff get aggressive with you when you ask them to please keep the noise down.

I’ll start with the positives: the staff were mostly friendly and the room was clean and bed comfy.

The hotel itself is nice and decorated well and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

The trims were clean and room was accommodating toward my needs.

They did have the blue tape across the door saying it was clean how the room was dirty when we arrived.

The facilities include parking, swimming and dining areas and a business center, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

The staff were excellen, clean rooms, relaxing atmosphere, the beds were very comfortable.

I got a disable room, the rooms was very clean and bathroom as clean as well.

I know they weren’t going out to smoke since they were vaping in them lobby with impunity.

Getting off the elevator the entire hallway smells of marijuana.

I believe there was illegal substance use, given the smell of smoke in the hallway.

The room was pretty disgusting walking into a room that was never cleaned/ dirty sheets on beds- no toilet paper or soap during a pandemic.

From the outside entrance with weeds and stains on the walls, to our room that smelled horribly like stale cigarettes, we were not very impressed by this hotel, especially given the price we paid.

It smelled like cheap men's cologne and it never faded.

but I was disappointed that the pool was not well kept and the hot tub was broken and disgusting.

Poor maintenance, room smells like funk, mold on the ceiling, no room service, not enough towels and rags, refrigerator too small.

The front desk manager was basically unrespoinsive until we put up a hiuge fuss.Finally, sha e had someone come up and disconnect the smoke detector.

The vents in this hotel are disgusting full of mold, dust, and dander.

Smelled a bit of marijuana through the hallways, not pleasant at all.

The only thing I didn't appreciate was on the Saturday morning there were two ladies openly smoking marijuana out front.
