Easy access to Universal City Walk and the Universal parks.

Great Location for all things Universal with the walk, Taxi Boat and Shuttle bus all very convenient to get you to City Walk and all the Parks.

The boat shuttles to and from the parks/ city walk to Loews Royal Pacific made everything so easy and quick.

It was a 7 min walk to the city walk, self parking was easy, Valet guys were helpful and friendly.

The boat to City Walk is really helpful and we also enjoyed the short walk on occasion.

Excellent location, just a short walk from City Walk and the Parks.

If you are into walking for exercise, there is a nice walking path from the hotel to City Walk and the Parks.

Just take a quick walk to city walk or you can take a boat or bus if there is rain.

This resort is amazing, close to Islands of adventure, City walk and universal studios.

It’s an easy walk to city walk and the parks and the express passes are a MUST!

We loved thecoation as it was ose in proximity to Universal theme parks and city walk.

The location of this hotel allowed the feasibility to walk to Universal Studios, Island of Adventure and City Walk.

Location ideal for easy access to City Walk and Parks.

But the City walk which is just a ride away has great options if you are not too tired.

The location was perfect, only a 7 minute walk to the theme parks and city walk.

This hotel is close to all the parks and City Walk.

The availability of the water taxi was great - we took advantage of the water taxi every day which took us from the hotel to City Walk.

The room next too us was noisy and thre their bedding and food boxes into the hall and blocking our door .. no One would come clean it up for days

Our bathroom door was broken and took an hour to ROOM SERVICE water.

A very nasty upsetting letter was placed under my door on Sunday, 8/6 stating my credit card payment had been declined.

There was essentially a hallway in the room, where a door could have been added that would have killed 80% of the corridor noise dead.

We leave our room at 0700 to get breakfast and early park access, put the make up room sign on the door and return at 1600 to find it’s not done….whilst getting changed to go out again, get a knock on door saying your my last room, if I don’t come in now it won’t be done……next day decide to have a lie in, knock on door at 0915, we ask them to come back as we are just getting ready, left at 10, put note on door to make up room….came back at 2000 hrs….not done…..only a little moan,

Our room smelled(smells stay in carpet, don't understand why they haven't put some type of laminate down) The dividing door to the bathroom was terribly off track.

but the refrigerator did not work and needed to be replaced and the hotel room door stuck pretty bad.

The people next door also said their USB ports were worn out
and not usable.

The bathroom just had a sliding door that didn't provide much privacy as you could hear everything.

There is nowhere to park a double stroller without partially blocking the door.

The layout was a bit odd as there was a lot of empty space right by the door,

You can hear every conversation that happens in the hallway - the doors are not soundproofed 4.

The walls were dirty, the blankets were ratty, the bathroom door was off its rollers so you had to have upper body strength to be able to close it fully, the view was awful.

- The bathroom door does not have a lock.

The noise from the family in the adjacent room was made worse by the connecting door.

It’s a little noisy trying to sleep each time someone in your party gets up to use the bathroom because the door doesn’t shut and the light shines through.

The bus driver ran over a curb, parked the wheelchair ramp in front of a poll then could not get the bus doors to close multiple times and walking was not an option due to a thunder storm.

The carpet in the hallways and rooms are dingy, and the amount of dirt under the sliding door in the bathroom is gross.

So grabbed my daughter and marched down to reception, very blasé staff not seeming to be bothered . Spoke to the first manager - who said it was “normal” for Florida (a seven story room with no opening windows/balcony doors!!)

Eventually falling asleep we are then disrupted at 8.30am to abrupt house keeping “checking out?” I explained politely “yes at 11am” 9.30am door again “checking out yet!” 

This was worst experience I’ve experienced in a long long time.

The staff made you feel welcome from the moment you arrived, and nothing was too much trouble.

We recently got engaged and everyone really made us feel special.

The rooms are dull, unwelcoming and didn’t feel clean.

The hotel grounds felt tropical and beautiful.

Tiffini was lovely on reception and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome at the start of our visit.

Very clean including the pool are, we felt safe.

The guest bathroom needed updated with a new sealer, would make it look and feel luxurious.

She found me a lovely room where I felt more comfortable.

From the front desk, to the concierge, to the restaurant staff, we felt like everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were cared for and that our daughter had a wonderful birthday.

Everything is always clean and you just feel tranquil with your stay here.

EVERYONE was great, we never felt like our pup was not welcome even in common areas like the lobby and walkways around the hotel;

The hotel is very bright and airy feeling as soon as you walk in.

We stayed on the club level and felt it was completely worth it.

Lastly, the staff is great and the overall feel of the resort is amazing.

It was a very lovely surprise that made her feel special and very happy.

He was so attentive and made us feel like family.

Theming of the hotel was excellent and overall felt very relaxing.

Staying here gives you fast pass access to most of the rides in the park (except Hagrid) and rooms and well appointed and comfy.

The resort is beautiful, staff is excellent (especially Kellie F)the food is great and the convenience to the parks (water taxi) is perfect!

Being so close to the parks and the water taxi is a great service never waiting  more than a few mins and fast passes to the park which are included really make it, we walked on to most rides with no q, kids loved it.

We planned on visiting Universal and didn’t want to take away from that magic by having a kids water park in the back.

The waiter was great hotel so convenient you get fast passes to go into the park.

We enjoy staying on property and the added benefit of having the express passes and early park admission.

Hotel was extremely clean (stayed in Jurassic park kids suite) had amazing views of the park out of our window.

We justified the cost with the unlimited express pass, proximity to the parks and the free park transportation.

Can’t beat the express passes, garden path walk to the parks, quality of  food and drinks or pleasant staff.

Good place to stay while going to Universal parks, unfortunately that's it.

Hotel is beautiful, clean, convenient to the parks and well worth the splurge.

Not having to drive or park anywhere made life so easy and having early park admission allows you to go on rides without a wait for an hour.

but the staff was amazing, location was great, room was adequate for two people and the park perks (were looking at you, unlimited express pass.  )

Park boat access was very efficient and saves time.

Self parking is overpriced at 28 dollars a night to park in an open lot that is not close to the hotel.

What I liked :

- High quality beds
- Great conciergerie
- Many services provided
What I did not like :

- Too loud, poor room phonic isolation
- Food is overpriced
- Universal Express Pass doesn't apply for Volcano Bay
- Room theme is very poor and not adequate with the standard.

While the hotel may seem expensive, it comes with UNLIMITED Universal Express Pass.

King suite charged $400 per night: Suite was half the size of a cheap suite at Disney.

Not a great impression when the rollaways cost money and you are staying at a $400+/night hotel.

We wouldn't normally pay this amount for a hotel (or pay for express passes)

It was dirty and old, and smelled a little, and parking was overly expensive at $30/day,

Also, when checking out we were not allowed to have a luggage cart, essentially setting us up for having to use the Bell hop services and pay one more tip.

but not the original assigned room or type I booked, reserved and paid for.

Moved to a lower resort at the promise of a lower price (had to pack up within 10 minutes) and were charged full price for the replacement resort with much fewer ammenities.

The shop in the lobby (Tuk Tuk I think it is called) has a limited range on offer and is very expensive (two bottled drinks and two bananas came to just under $12).

People stay here / pay a premium for the Express Pass to avoid long queues in the adjacent theme parks.

I would probably rate this hotel as substantially overpriced if it was not for these factors.

Additionally:

We had no working in room wifi for the duration of our (shortened) stay - Tower two 5th floor (5th Aug) 

I had to try 3 floors to find a working ice machine (5th & 4rd not working) 

For the cost of the room I would have expected a complementary bottle of water in the room rather than 2 bottles with a 7.5USD price tag attached.

The price of the hotel is making this not worth it.

but when all things were considered… although the room was expensive, getting by the early entry (btw you should show up 45 minutes to an hour ahead of opening time) and the unlimited fast pass meant that the room was almost free due to the ridiculous price increase on these if you buy them piecemeal during the summer peak.

but it costs a bomb to stay here and the house keeping is a let down

Also, we split the room cost between families and now we cannot get the billing correct.

The rooms are quite expensive for what you get.

The boat service was so quick and the captains were friendly.

Hotel was so convenient the staff was great.

Hotel staff played dumb when brought to their attention.

We enjoyed our meal at Jakes and our waiter was friendly and attentive.

Staff was friendly and the food was excellent.

Cornell at the front desk was our first into to the awesome service we would receive during our stay.

The luggage hold was also extremely helpful.

The hotel was warm, welcoming and clean !

The pool was great, and so were the water taxis.

The hotel is walking distance from Universal (10 mins) or you could catch the water taxi (easy to get on, also about 10 mins).

While both a shuttle and water taxi were available, we opted to walk down the beautiful path.

The water taxi is a quick convenient ride to the parks.

We had an amazing time and the water taxi to and from the hotel was very convenient.

We used the water taxi everyday to get to the parks, very fast and convenient transportation.

Very close location to the parks and you can take the water taxi, shuttle bus or even walk to them!

We enjoy the boat taxis that take to the parks and City Walk as well as taking you back to the hotel when you are done having fun.

The water taxi was so fun and quick to and from the parks, we never waited more than 5 minutes to hop on a taxi.

The water taxi was super convenient and if you wanted to walk, it was really close.

The water taxis are super convenient and the food in the Royal Club lounge was excellent!

I highly recommend the water taxi due to the convenience and ease of security into City Walk.

Loews Royal Pacific is a beautiful resort just a short 5-10 minute walk from the Islands of Adventure theme park.

We had a good time visiting the Universal Theme Parks.

We were able to check-in well ahead of time in order to use fast passes in the Universal Studios theme parks.

We choose this hotel because of its proximity to the Universal theme parks and the City Walk area.

Definitely the best theme park hotel hotels we have stayed in

We didn't have to rent a car due to the close proximity to the theme parks and City Walk.

The resort was within short walking distance to  the theme park with a nice nature view.

Free express passes, early admission to the theme parks, and transportation 
made a $500 a night stay worth the money, especially when you take in consideration for the cost of express passes.

Everything was excellent from the arrival, check-in, staff, getting our theme park tickets and the location was perfect.

My wife and I had a great time at Universal theme parks.

It was close to all of the Universal theme parks and City walk which was nice.

We stayed here for two nights and the hotel had a great atmosphere, staff could not do enough to help us, the pool area was clean and fun for the family, the walk to the theme parks was short and the water boats were frequent.

We looked at many Universal properties and chose Royal Pacific due to its theme/pool area, family suite option, and its proximity to City Walk and the theme parks.

We booked a night on our two week stay from UK to assist our visit to universal theme parks and received excellent friendly service in the beautiful royal pacific,we were upgraded to concierge level and we and our two grandchildren enjoyed Royalty service from friendly staff also restaurant food of highest quality.Access to parks by boat or river walk very relaxing and reduced stress on our stay poolside so enjoyable with brilliant  facilities and attentive knowledgeable staff.We look forward to a return visit for longer stay to utilise benefits of early park entry and express ride entry,thanks to all at royal pacific rooms so well appointed with amazing views

Club level food and drink options were great, especially the ability to grab unlimited bottled water for days in the theme parks.

Went in early January, weather was beautiful, pool was amazing, theme parks were steady, not too busy,

A very good hotel close to the theme parks at Universal.

The Royal Pacific Hotel is a clean unassuming hotel overlooking Islands of Adventure at Universal.

The pool is large and heated and our kids had a great time playing on non Universal days.

First id like to say that Universal will always be a great trip.

Staying on property at Universal is so worth it.

We like it better than the other deluxe resorts at Universal.

Would definitely do it again if I return to Orlando and am visiting universal parks.

This is the more affordable of the three Universal Premier hotels.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort is a excellent choice to stay during your Universal vacation.

Very easy access to the Universal parks and the transport to Volcano Bay was regular and fast.

Booked a Universal trip for our family of 4 for our first REAL vacation in years and we stayed at The Royal Pacific.

Hotel is great proximity to all things Universal and Disney and transportation is provided.

I had an amazing tim at universal resorts there were so many amazing things that we were able to do in such a great timely manner considering everything is so close.

We would definitely come back for our next universal trip!

We have always had a great experience at Universal Resorts.

Locations are perfect to universal studio, we can walked or took the boat to go to universal parks, excellent services, staying at the club level very satisfied with the service!

It’s a really big hotel and lots of walking.

The hotel atmosphere is fantastic and we love the proximity to the parks - a short walk to both parks and CityWalk.

We even came back to the hotel from the parks (10 min walk) to have dinner in the club due to enjoying it so much.

Less than 10 minutes walk to Islands of Adventure.

but if you are planning on rope-dropping anything, the walk is usually a faster way as you have no queue.

The boat trip to the parks where a great way to start and end each day.

The opera singers were amazing 
The club lounge staff were great
The boat was excellent 
Just think twice this is not a premier resort the customer service is abysmal.

The onsite Starbucks is great and the boat ride to the parks is a plus.

The boats make it very convenient to get to the theme parks.

Our third trip here such an amazing place theming of the hotel is amazing feels just like italy three amazing pools, the villa pool feels like your staying at a billionaire's Italian villa, such a change from the craziness of the parks, so peaceful and yet only five minutes by boat away, or a 10 minute walk through the tropical Gardens it is truly paradise.

I have told anyone who would listen, this is the best themed luxury service hotel in the states and the fact its a short boat ride from the thrills and adventure of Universal cannot be beat.

There's just so much more to talk about, a quick boat ride to the parks or a stroll along the walkway taking you to the front door of Universal Studios.

So close to Universal walking or by boat.

Location is good and the bus and boat service is friendly and efficient.

The boat is very nice and comes frequently and provided the perfect opportunity to put on sunscreen.

Amazing hotel, very cozy place where the boats leave to the Universal parcs.

The grounds were beautiful, the pool very relaxing and the boat ride to the parks were very frequent.

Boats to the parks were regular and fun to ride (great staff operating them!

The boat crews to take us to city walk were kind and fun.

Great deli at the same site as the hotel, easy to grab dinner there, plus pleasant boat travel to Citywalk from the hotel itself.

We enjoyed the boat rides to and especially from the parks and again everyone was so friendly and the service so efficient .

There is also a boat that leaves the marina to bring guests over and back to Universal Studios which is really nice.

The welcoming of the hotel staff, the room, the captains of the boats , the security personnel, the waiters and waitresses, the staff who cleaned our room, the clerks in the shops, all were wonderful.

I also have t worrying if our key cards for thr fast passes will work or not since they refused to fix the issue or if I will spend all day at the park trying to fix this issue or enjoying my day

This hotel should be ashamed of themselves for charging $800 a night and then they have an inadequate accommadations.

As with most hotels room service charges a $3 service fee & a 22% gratuity charge.

There were charges for $600 that I did not make.

but providing two bottles and charging $7.50 per bottle paints a very bad picture.

The rest were broken or loose and could not be used for charging phones, etc.

To make matters more complicated, they had to take 3 sets of daily deposits on my credit card.

Sad they charge $35 for one cot per night, stayed at another resort and they brought us 2 for $0.

Then 2 days later they tack another 631$ so now it 1800+ in charges, later that day the other charges fall off and what I actually owed, which was 631was charged to my card.

Between pre-booking and pre-billing for rooms and then swapping business guests in and out and trying to get the one night pre-billed back off your personal credit card disaster that I continue to work through today the customer service is just not aimed at business or conference travellers.

I asked to move to a regular room, and I was told they would charge me current rates, so we didn't move.

but Did not honor AMEX Platinum benefits and when requested by amex membership services, refused to change reservation.

Lastly, finding shower curtain with LARGE stain is not what I would expect from a hotel charging these rates.

I’ve also been charged $10 for water that we didn’t drink in the room

The big bummer was that I was charged a hefty amount for a restaurant that I didn't go to.

A minor thing: Additional charging outlets in room would be preferred

but be sure you check you bill as we’d been charged an extra $150+tax per night for an ‘upgrade’ which I knew nothing about.

Your room card opens the lounge door which is open from 7am - 10pm.

however our room, bay-view, was very comfortable 
On check in, charging $200 per day in advance is really not necessary seeing as credit card is provided on check in.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and felt transported to Italy on the water!

Visually appealing with a genuine Italian feel both inside and out, spacious rooms, and outstanding personalized service, the list of attributes goes on and on.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are friendly and professional.. due to the layout of the hotel, it never felt crowded and the grounds were well worth exploring.

Portofino Bay Hotel was amazing, you actually feel like you are in Italy not Florida.
