Easy access to Universal City Walk and the Universal parks.

Great Location for all things Universal with the walk, Taxi Boat and Shuttle bus all very convenient to get you to City Walk and all the Parks.

The boat shuttles to and from the parks/ city walk to Loews Royal Pacific made everything so easy and quick.

It was a 7 min walk to the city walk, self parking was easy, Valet guys were helpful and friendly.

The boat to City Walk is really helpful and we also enjoyed the short walk on occasion.

Excellent location, just a short walk from City Walk and the Parks.

If you are into walking for exercise, there is a nice walking path from the hotel to City Walk and the Parks.

Just take a quick walk to city walk or you can take a boat or bus if there is rain.

This resort is amazing, close to Islands of adventure, City walk and universal studios.

It’s an easy walk to city walk and the parks and the express passes are a MUST!

We loved thecoation as it was ose in proximity to Universal theme parks and city walk.

The location of this hotel allowed the feasibility to walk to Universal Studios, Island of Adventure and City Walk.

Location ideal for easy access to City Walk and Parks.

But the City walk which is just a ride away has great options if you are not too tired.

The location was perfect, only a 7 minute walk to the theme parks and city walk.

This hotel is close to all the parks and City Walk.

The availability of the water taxi was great - we took advantage of the water taxi every day which took us from the hotel to City Walk.

The room next too us was noisy and thre their bedding and food boxes into the hall and blocking our door .. no One would come clean it up for days

Our bathroom door was broken and took an hour to ROOM SERVICE water.

A very nasty upsetting letter was placed under my door on Sunday, 8/6 stating my credit card payment had been declined.

There was essentially a hallway in the room, where a door could have been added that would have killed 80% of the corridor noise dead.

We leave our room at 0700 to get breakfast and early park access, put the make up room sign on the door and return at 1600 to find it’s not done….whilst getting changed to go out again, get a knock on door saying your my last room, if I don’t come in now it won’t be done……next day decide to have a lie in, knock on door at 0915, we ask them to come back as we are just getting ready, left at 10, put note on door to make up room….came back at 2000 hrs….not done…..only a little moan,

Our room smelled(smells stay in carpet, don't understand why they haven't put some type of laminate down) The dividing door to the bathroom was terribly off track.

but the refrigerator did not work and needed to be replaced and the hotel room door stuck pretty bad.

The people next door also said their USB ports were worn out
and not usable.

The bathroom just had a sliding door that didn't provide much privacy as you could hear everything.

There is nowhere to park a double stroller without partially blocking the door.

The layout was a bit odd as there was a lot of empty space right by the door,

You can hear every conversation that happens in the hallway - the doors are not soundproofed 4.

The walls were dirty, the blankets were ratty, the bathroom door was off its rollers so you had to have upper body strength to be able to close it fully, the view was awful.

- The bathroom door does not have a lock.

The noise from the family in the adjacent room was made worse by the connecting door.

It’s a little noisy trying to sleep each time someone in your party gets up to use the bathroom because the door doesn’t shut and the light shines through.

The bus driver ran over a curb, parked the wheelchair ramp in front of a poll then could not get the bus doors to close multiple times and walking was not an option due to a thunder storm.

The carpet in the hallways and rooms are dingy, and the amount of dirt under the sliding door in the bathroom is gross.

So grabbed my daughter and marched down to reception, very blasé staff not seeming to be bothered . Spoke to the first manager - who said it was “normal” for Florida (a seven story room with no opening windows/balcony doors!!)

Eventually falling asleep we are then disrupted at 8.30am to abrupt house keeping “checking out?” I explained politely “yes at 11am” 9.30am door again “checking out yet!” 

This was worst experience I’ve experienced in a long long time.

Self parking is overpriced at 28 dollars a night to park in an open lot that is not close to the hotel.

What I liked :

- High quality beds
- Great conciergerie
- Many services provided
What I did not like :

- Too loud, poor room phonic isolation
- Food is overpriced
- Universal Express Pass doesn't apply for Volcano Bay
- Room theme is very poor and not adequate with the standard.

While the hotel may seem expensive, it comes with UNLIMITED Universal Express Pass.

King suite charged $400 per night: Suite was half the size of a cheap suite at Disney.

Not a great impression when the rollaways cost money and you are staying at a $400+/night hotel.

We wouldn't normally pay this amount for a hotel (or pay for express passes)

It was dirty and old, and smelled a little, and parking was overly expensive at $30/day,

Also, when checking out we were not allowed to have a luggage cart, essentially setting us up for having to use the Bell hop services and pay one more tip.

but not the original assigned room or type I booked, reserved and paid for.

Moved to a lower resort at the promise of a lower price (had to pack up within 10 minutes) and were charged full price for the replacement resort with much fewer ammenities.

The shop in the lobby (Tuk Tuk I think it is called) has a limited range on offer and is very expensive (two bottled drinks and two bananas came to just under $12).

People stay here / pay a premium for the Express Pass to avoid long queues in the adjacent theme parks.

I would probably rate this hotel as substantially overpriced if it was not for these factors.

Additionally:

We had no working in room wifi for the duration of our (shortened) stay - Tower two 5th floor (5th Aug) 

I had to try 3 floors to find a working ice machine (5th & 4rd not working) 

For the cost of the room I would have expected a complementary bottle of water in the room rather than 2 bottles with a 7.5USD price tag attached.

The price of the hotel is making this not worth it.

but when all things were considered… although the room was expensive, getting by the early entry (btw you should show up 45 minutes to an hour ahead of opening time) and the unlimited fast pass meant that the room was almost free due to the ridiculous price increase on these if you buy them piecemeal during the summer peak.

but it costs a bomb to stay here and the house keeping is a let down

Also, we split the room cost between families and now we cannot get the billing correct.

The rooms are quite expensive for what you get.

Unlimited Fast Pass tickets to Universal and IoA are the biggest selling point for booking one of the three Premier Hotels and made the times we spent in the parks far more enjoyable being able to walk on the rides without joining the long queues.

Excellent value considering the benefits you get from booking a room.

Booked conjoining rooms back in July for my daughters birthday with her friends.

Beds were comfortable and we definitely would book another stay with them.

I would love to book a trip now with my family!

Small billing problem - which happens, resolved promptly and with minimal faff.. great location, pool, hotel facilities, pool, food and drinks, proximity to parks,transportation and express passes with booking made the stay even more worth it.

We reserved a king suite with our 9 year old, she slept on the sofa because the pullout bed was too much for her and she loved it!

Very pleased we choose to return back to this hotel since the reservations.

We booked Royal Hospitality Suite with living room and bedroom for a family of six.

Overall it was an amazing time and we can’t wait to book our next trip.

Concierge and Club Staff can help with many things including dining reservations.

We used Universal studios Florida app to make reservations at these restaurants.

Loved the help with all the dinner reservations!

Inside the front entrance is Orchid Court where you & a book or suitcase are equally comfortable gazing at the beauty.

I will probably book only here for future trips to Universal.

We went here for the second time for my wife’s birthday and we booked at Loew’s Royal Pacific out of convenience to get express unlimited and early park admission.

Overall booking a room at Royal Pacific made sense because of the unlimited express pass which was very worth it.

All the hotels employees were very helpful they helped us to make reservations at cow fish which is a restaurant at city park .

We rode the Universal Studios Superstar Shuttle (by Mears) from the airport, which we had booked in our whole package, with no delay and it was a good bus airport transfer.

We are a family traveling from the UK for a few days only- you book this hotel which is so super expensive because you get fast past access for the time you stay here.

The resort is beautiful, staff is excellent (especially Kellie F)the food is great and the convenience to the parks (water taxi) is perfect!

Being so close to the parks and the water taxi is a great service never waiting  more than a few mins and fast passes to the park which are included really make it, we walked on to most rides with no q, kids loved it.

The pool was great, and so were the water taxis.

The hotel is walking distance from Universal (10 mins) or you could catch the water taxi (easy to get on, also about 10 mins).

While both a shuttle and water taxi were available, we opted to walk down the beautiful path.

The water taxi is a quick convenient ride to the parks.

We had an amazing time and the water taxi to and from the hotel was very convenient.

We enjoy the boat taxis that take to the parks and City Walk as well as taking you back to the hotel when you are done having fun.

The water taxi was so fun and quick to and from the parks, we never waited more than 5 minutes to hop on a taxi.

The water taxi was super convenient and if you wanted to walk, it was really close.

The water taxis are super convenient and the food in the Royal Club lounge was excellent!

I highly recommend the water taxi due to the convenience and ease of security into City Walk.

Loews Royal Pacific is a beautiful resort just a short 5-10 minute walk from the Islands of Adventure theme park.

We had a good time visiting the Universal Theme Parks.

We were able to check-in well ahead of time in order to use fast passes in the Universal Studios theme parks.

We choose this hotel because of its proximity to the Universal theme parks and the City Walk area.

We didn't have to rent a car due to the close proximity to the theme parks and City Walk.

The resort was within short walking distance to  the theme park with a nice nature view.

Free express passes, early admission to the theme parks, and transportation 
made a $500 a night stay worth the money, especially when you take in consideration for the cost of express passes.

Everything was excellent from the arrival, check-in, staff, getting our theme park tickets and the location was perfect.

My wife and I had a great time at Universal theme parks.

It was close to all of the Universal theme parks and City walk which was nice.

We stayed here for two nights and the hotel had a great atmosphere, staff could not do enough to help us, the pool area was clean and fun for the family, the walk to the theme parks was short and the water boats were frequent.

We looked at many Universal properties and chose Royal Pacific due to its theme/pool area, family suite option, and its proximity to City Walk and the theme parks.

We booked a night on our two week stay from UK to assist our visit to universal theme parks and received excellent friendly service in the beautiful royal pacific,we were upgraded to concierge level and we and our two grandchildren enjoyed Royalty service from friendly staff also restaurant food of highest quality.Access to parks by boat or river walk very relaxing and reduced stress on our stay poolside so enjoyable with brilliant  facilities and attentive knowledgeable staff.We look forward to a return visit for longer stay to utilise benefits of early park entry and express ride entry,thanks to all at royal pacific rooms so well appointed with amazing views

Club level food and drink options were great, especially the ability to grab unlimited bottled water for days in the theme parks.

We originally got sent to a room without a tub

I went to the gym twice around 8am and there are no dumbbells on the rack below 30lbs.

As someone who works in the industry and am always looking at properties to send my customers, colleagues and family to this property is now 100% avoid, all “amenities” have an additional charges which should be covered when paying a nightly fee - not both

Do yourself a favour and book the Hyatt next door for approx the same cost and includes breakfast

No complimentary breakfast included, no shuttle, stains on the shower curtain and crabby staff..

They are a little bit tired, and some of the rooms smelled a bit damp / some of the bathrooms could do with updating.

The bathroom is so tiny you can barely fit in it.

The bathroom was small,  maybe 5 foot by 8 foot so it was crowded.

The bathroom door handle was broken, so we couldn’t close the door all the way without getting stuck inside the bathroom.

The first night we landed, the toilet was blocked, and someone came up and 'fixed' it.

When we arrived the hallway to our room had a couple of pieces of garbage and toilet paper scattered on the floor in plain view - not a pleasant first impression.

For example the duvets were smaller than the covers leaving large areas to be just sheets (but the beds were very comfy to be fair), the bathroom metal work needs replacing on the shower curtain bars ands this was peeling away and have photographic proof for this.

The handrail in the shower fell off when used.

Issues encountered at this property include:
-Streaks of fecal matter in the shower (see pic)
-Bugs (see pic)
-No cleaning of the room (only making of bed)
-No shampoo
-Stained towels
-No extra toilet paper, had to request
-No USB ports
-Unpleasant smell in room and lobbies
-Bathroom door wouldn’t close
-Inconsistent shower water temperature
-Poor water pressure
-Unhelpful/uninterested front desk

Holiday Inn corporate needs to inspect this property to ensure their franchise is living up to the Holiday Inn standard.

Dirty, moldy, sheets not changed, old… bathroom filthy.

Further inspection of the rooms in the morning found a handle that had a screw missing in the cupboard, a broken lock in a bathroom and war drone doors not set in tracks.

Overall, the bathroom is super small and was dirty.

One of the bathroom door locks was completely missing and all of the lampshades were cracked.

The hotel offers also a free shuttle to the studios ( reservation required) Breakfast we had at Fridays next door.

Close to everything you would need and we took advantage of the free shuttle to Universal.

This hotel advertises that they have a free shuttle to Universal.

Free shuttle and walking accessible to Universal studios.

Also free shuttle to Universal or 15 minute walk.

They also have complementary shuttle service to and from the parks around the hotel and even to the local store!

It gets two stars because universal is across the street and you can take a free shuttle,  and because there is a Fridays.

One of the main reasons for selecting this hotel was due to its proximity to Universal and the free shuttle.

There is a free shuttle bus which links the Universal partner hotels to City Walk,

There’s also a free shuttle to the parks and an on site convenience store which is nice.

There is free shuttle service to/from Universal so all you need to do is park your car (free) and leave it there.

The hotel offers free shuttles to Universal.

We have had good experiences with holiday inn chain hotels so when we were planning on visiting a universal theme park, I was happy to find one that offered free shuttle to city walk and was within walking distance to the parks.

The hotel is only a quick 10 - 15 minute walk to Universal, there is free shuttle service and this hotel caters to the Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure crowds with on-site ticket sales and a small amusement park themed gift shop.

Location if visiting universal is great a free shuttle is giving complementary service every hour.

The hotel offers a free shuttle to Universal which was very convenient to us.

Although there was a free shuttle service to Universal Studios, we opted to walk, as it's only 15 minutes, and gave us the flexibility to leave when we wanted to.

but the phone system kept looping and ringing busy, so we had to go downstairs.

The main lobby never answered the phone even when they gave us a different number, they security treated us really badly, and the employees were rude to us, they didnt try to look for something i lost and said smart comments about the situation and the pool people were rude to me and my family, and also was rude to another person because they said that they didnt know about an id that was missing

Staff also difficult to get hold of on the phone as couldn't get anyone to answer on numerous occasions.

We were just told “we’ll call you back” and then hung up.

I spent nearly two hours on the phone over the course of two days trying to get this resolved and am still waiting to hear from the manager of the hotel.

The cleaners didn’t always dust well as often found dust on the phone and lamps after they had been in, and on one occasion rubbish was left in the room.

Our on phone chat with the hotel ranged from a mildly hostile representative who suggested that I "not go into my bank in person" to speak with them about the illegal charge on my bank statement from the hotel.

The phone in the room never successfully dials out from to the operator or reception.

My husband finally went down there and the front desk attendant was playing with his phone with ear buds on (That’s why he didn’t hear the phone ring).

Called front desk and after 4 minutes of ringing and no answer I finally called the 800 number for reservations and got transferred to the front desk where someone answered.

The floor outside the bathroom was wet the entire time and we had difficulty operating the shower also the phone in the room did not work.

No answer after at least 10 minutes of calling,  back downstairs to wait in line again!!!!!

He said he would check on it, I said I'd call back in an hour.

Now if they could just learn to answer their phones.

Finally he gets a different manager on the phone and apologized and said of course apologized and said the director of front office  would call me the next day and gave his card his name is Julio Cruz , and wouldn’t you know he never called.

It was time to call the front desk to see what could be done to remedy the situation.

The desk staff had attitudes that left you wondering if you did something wrong by telling them that water was spraying across the bathroom and they never answered the phone.

When I tried to call the front desk about the problems, no one answered.

but in my opinion if you want the ritz book the ritz because other than that the hotel room was more than adequate we were updated to a suite which had a livingroom area and a bedroom with 2 double beds and the beds were very comfortable.

I look forward to booking another stay again soon.

The shuttle service was good and the driver is very professional and makes sure you are on the reservation list before loading the shuttle.

The rooms are spacious with a side chair to lounge and read a book.

however as a travel agent I spent time at the property assessing how a customer would feel if I booked or recommended they use the space.

My husband and I booked a quick trip down to Florida, and my parents and sister arrived the next day.

I don’t even know what that means I called Holiday Inn and booked a room I didn’t even know booking through the front desk was an option.

Booked just 9 days before we flew as I got a great deal so had not looked at reviews and we were pleased when we arrived.

You are directly across the street from Universal Orlando and the property is also a Universal Partner Hotel, which allows them to offer extra benefits to their guest, or allowing guest to book as part of a vacation package with Universal Orlando.

The next morning, the manager was able to move us into the suite that we had reserved.

We ought a package through Universal under the guise that it was a great partner hotel and we would get all the same benefits of staying on Universal property (Universal said they were booked on their property).

I would like to thank the front desk especially Fernando the front desk agent I had an issue with my room which I had booked with Airbnb

This is definitely a place we will be booking again in the future.

Reserved parking spots for IHG members was a nice perk.

The room I reserved turned out much bigger than I anticipated for an excellent price.

They were quick fixing our mistake and even refunded us.

If complementary transportation is booked full, the walk to Universal is easy and not too far.

Recently booked an event for our mother’s 80th birthday party and the staff was attentive and helpful throughout the process.

The room smelled bad and didn’t appear clean in some spots.

When I opened the door so the room, the smell of mold was prevalent.

Smelled horrible and then it was masked with tons of chemicals trying to cover the horrible smell.

Went to complain about the terrible smell in the room and a different staff member huffed at me and just allocated a new room without comment, second room also smelt terrible.

Then our room smelled like mild and the tv and ac did not work and when trying to call the front desk it was busy or no one answered even letting it ring for a LONG time!!!

The room had a terrible mildew smell that we could not mask.

It had a stale Smokey smell and I believe someone spilled a bunch of beer on the floor.

From the start our room very smelled badly (of sewage), dirty sheets were found and the air con unit smelled greatly when turned on.

The hotel rooms and halls are old, dirty, spells like mold and mildew.

Walked into no wash clothes, no ice bucket, one roll of toilet paper, and make up stains on the comforter, and the room smells like moth balls.

Dented  fridge, beat up furniture, 1 small trash can, only 1 tiny bar of soap to use for washing hands and showering, no shampoo, only conditioner, lumpy floor, view of abandoned looking building, non-working exterior card readers, missing lock in bathroom, broken mirror frame, gaps in receptacles and non working plugs, black mold in toilet, slow check in, no bedding on pull out and non working safe.

The room had an odd smell not sure if this is the cleaning products or the fact there are no opening windows?

A fire alarm left us moving down emergency stairways at 2am in the morning inky to find emergency stairways with beer bottles and boxes and other obstacles not to mention the reek of urine.
