We've stayed at the most expensive Disney hotels there are and visited the Kids Camp there.

Since July 2020 we’ve luckily been back for New Years  2021 and May 2021 and as of special request by our twin Daughters will be back for their 5th birthday august 30th! Thank you with all our hearts for making this our absolute favorite place on earth ( Paradusus beat out Disney World for the Twins!)

We booked using our Disney vacation club points which meant we were automatically given Family Concierge and Club melia status.

They had a Disney Coco party one night and one kid dressed as Miguel who sang and danced.

But we have done Disney cruises as a family and my husband and I have stayed at nine different adults only all inclusives in the Carribean and Mexico.

They also said ‘the kids club is good’ (though you need to go early to get your kids names on the list for the day).

Great service amazing food Diego was our server and he was excellent, 
Children were served first which was great as they weren’t waiting to long for their food, always asking if we wanted more refreshments couldn’t ask more

Also, the amenities for the children ages 3-10 were great: i.e.

The amount of activity for children was a plus!

The pools are excellent with great water parks for the kids.

Kids activities were great, beach well maintained.

My daughter loves the braids she got on the beach.

I spent time with my little niece dancing to the music on the family side in the evening and we had a lot of fun- great DJ, Karaoke, and games for the kids.

The kids club was great and our grand kids really enjoyed it.

Hence, once you arrive many slots are already taken and if you're with young kids eating dinner at 7:30pm or later is a less enticing option to say the least.

We are a family of 4 that travelled with our kids ages 4 and 7.

In the last few days he left the kids with some surprises that made them happy.

He was very attentive and very kind to our children.

We were at the hotel the year was inaugurated -11 years ago-, came back with children and grandchildren much older.

I have stayed in Riu’s in my late teens which are better than this. Shocking!!

so you NEVER have to worry that your kids will be picky / fussy, etc.

You had attendants selling you insanely overpriced excursions and spa services.

Needed medication and was a total rip off in shops.

* no room at the kids club (again, unless you are there 15 minutes before they open at 9am, and they never actually opened at 9am so in reality my husband had to stand in line for at least 25 minutes every morning to secure a service which we actually paid for.

I didn't notice the overcharge, though, until I returned and checked our charges against our contract rates.

The nappies and ear drops cost me 60usd and they added a 20% charge to help us with this!

We tried BOTH of their house RED wines as the first one was very sweet, and the second one still was rather sweet for our liking, so that is literally my only consideration to provide - is whether the hotel can swap one of the house red wines for a dryer one, otherwise you can absolutely pay out of pocket to upgrade!

2 tomahawks and 2 sides for a part of 7 came out to $75 USD.

Then you could get a family padded pool side bed or you could rent a cabana for the day (we didn't opt for that it was quite expensive).

but then they retracted that offer and said we’d have to pay for the nanny.

Sun shirts, anything you may have forgotten to pack, will cost you dearly.

Only concern is to be sure you bring everything you need as everything extra at the resort is 5X - 10X regular prices.

However, everything else was just so underwhelming for the money that we paid.

to the point they consider us VIP without being part of their fishy/scam timeshare, Don't take the presentation, avoid at all cost (i know why).

On the last evening, expensive sunglasses disappeared from the room.

but I’m not sure it’s worth a Premium price anymore since they reduce the number of perks, including very meager snacks in they reserve lounge and eliminating the reserve-only pool and restaurant.

I just ordered a few bottles of sparkling wine from the resort and took them on the truck as the champagne prices at the airport are out of control.

The shop was very expensive (a bar of chocolate cost £10)!

Everything took painfully long from the check-in to booking restaurant reservation and simple questions.

Food wasn’t amazing, definitely the one part that could be improved.

but the rest of food there was just okay.

The meals where incredible the breakfast was great the italian reastaurant as well and the best was the teppanyaki.

I am not food fussy; I just want it to be good, well rotated, and fresh.

First off want to give a special shout out to our concierge Cynthia, she provided us with amazing surprises every day for the girls, contacted us daily through whatsapp and made all our dinner reservations for us.

As for food, it's very different depending where you are.

One expects an above average margarita in Mexico

All in all we had a great time and just a shame about the food

Pros:
-Beautiful grounds
-Wildlife around the resort
-Beach beautiful and close to a cenote that my kids loved
-Super friendly and eager to please staff
-Beach and poolside drink and food service
-Fun activities for the kids throughout the day (although not enough)
Cons:
-Unless you’re nikte it is extremely difficult to get dinner reservations at an appropriate time for young kids
-Impossible to get a chair by the pool or beach after 8am.

Exceptions were the Italian restaurant and Mole.

No massive chlorine smell after swimming.

The only issues was the Coati which are all over the resort and like to climb up on the patios and poop.

My little girl was in her last nappy (which she had soiled herself in) and I took her to reception to see if they could charge my room for cash so I could purchase nappies, I literally had to beg them in tears for about half an hour as their response was ‘there was nothing they could do as it was against company policy to give cash to guests’.

It was only open 12pm-6pm, which was clearly a cost saving measure, as it would be bombarded by guests after dinner everywhere, because the ice cream at the buffets was always freezer burned grocery store ice cream.

In the past this hotel used to smell like a Spa all day long

The second day, they decided to paint directly next to our room and filled our room with paint fumes while our 3yr old son was napping.

Also, the fan in the hibachi area broke and the entire place was filled with smoke.

There is a disgusting smell at the bridge to the beach from the manglares.

First sewage drainage problem, second no shower, 3rd dirty water leaked through ceiling 3 nights running despite reassurances from services that it was fixed !

The pools are filthy and the furniture is old and dirty.

We made our way over and we’re told they had to dry off more bc one of my sons had damp hair.

The shower water smells so bad my 8 year old has a hard time not gagging the whole time.

Also the terrible stench of the seaweed was pretty revolting when the wind would carry it over the beach.

Showers did not smell good, and food was not very good.

Gross food,watered  down drinks..roaches & other bugs, dirty sheets, dirty sock left from previous stay.

The bed skirt (on the ONE bed) is filthy.

Most of the staff is rude, the food is disgusting - if you don’t make reservations for dinner at the one reservation desk in advance (can’t be done online or anywhere at the property

but not in a rush and wait till the little man is bigger

WARNING COATIES
these fluffy little f@&kers are a nightmare, if you take a bag to pool with food they will take the bag deep into the bush, if you have a cabana hang the bag from the beam or tie it to the post so the cant run off with it, anything that smells like food will be gone, these things are eating super hot cheetos nothing is off limits!

The service was really great, the staff were really professional, our personal

Staff were so helpful and always available to answer questions.

The staff was just splendid, very detailed oriented.

Above all else, a BIG thank you to our concierge, NESTOR.

The folks seem to take pride in the property.

Everyone was extremely helpful in making reservation and making the experience great.

Five star rating is  due to the cleanliness of the resort and the excellent service of the staff members.

Often in the restaurant there would be one guy serving ice cream, rotisserie and tacos.

Fabian, our dedicated concierge that comes with Nikte, was amazing and helpful.

We upgraded to a swim-up room and didn’t regret it.

Easy walk to the beach sunbeds and cabanas and it was right next to a public beach area that had a super nice spot for kids to swim in- extra bonus.

We had an great experience overall in a Nikte Swim Up suite.

We got the Nikte package with a swim up room and it was perfect for our family.

The beach was sooo nice, it was clean and they had roped off areas that were safe to swim in.

The main pool, right beside the pirate pool was never crowded and had great swim up bar.

but Francisco Arriagade - a server with Celsius as well as Angeles - the bartender at the swim up bar - went above and beyond with their service.

Lots of things to swim to and hold on to.

•	Pirate Pool – kids loved this more than the water park and it was easier to let them swim there and have our eyes on them at all times.

Def glad I didn’t pay extra for the swim out rooms as most were connected to the main pool and my kids didn’t spend any time in it bc it was the coldest of all options.

Me and my wife stayed in the reserve swim up room and were super happy with our choice to come here it’s a very high end feeling here!

The kids loved all the different places to swim like the water park, kids pool, other pools, and the beach.

Make sure to upgrade to the Nikte swim-up suite and go on the Cenote experience. We loved having a personal concierge (yay Eduardo!)

We booked the Nikte Master Suite and then negotiated an upgrade to the Nikte Master Suite Swim out.

although we didn’t use the swim up as much as I thought, it was still such a fun addition.

We stayed at one of the swim up rooms with the reserve upgrade.

We chose a Nikte swim-up room and you won't be sorry.

The water park was amazing and loved by our 10 year old.

We enjoyed the pools, the beach, the water park and the spa experience.

Let me start off with the positive as this will not take long;

Positives - 
Facilities for children are very good, our little girl enjoyed the water park and pool with the boat

The tempenyaki and Italian restaurants are lovely!

The water park was so much fun for the kids.

We love all the different pools on the family side, and the water park is outstanding.

The water park isn’t open in the mornings (hellooooo!

Water park was fun, and the beach was decent.

The pool area is great, we enjoyed the water park as well.

Water park was pretty cool too and they had a couple of foam parties during the week we were there.

Great resort, great water park that our 5 year old enjoyed.

For the kids’ water activities: there was a huge pirate ship pool in the middle of the resort rooms which was fun AND there’s a whole separate “water zone” area where there were big slides and a little toddler water park area too.

They loved the beach, water park, pool, and random entertainment and activities.

We are here as a family of 5 and Used to staying at 5 star resorts around the world. Apparently if you are not a “member” (whatever that means?)

The service was world class with Adrian checking in multiple times per day to see if there was anything that would enhance our experience.

Kids enjoyed the ocean, playing in the sand and we used the aqua world guys to take us out on the sailboat and used their kayaks which was super fun.

Jesus at Blue Agave (bar) knows us every time we are there and makes the best margaritas in the world!

Service:
Adrian is truly out of this world.

I would highly recommend to experience the high quality top of the world service of the entire staff .

Housekeeping staff and management impressed us a lot… the level of cleanliness was extraordinary, out of this world.

They raffle massages and  Sal gift certificates and serve out of this world cocktails and appetizers from Sal.

but not least, La Palapa was super for breakfast, and our pool waiter Alfredo asked Chef Wendy to make us some empanadas for lunch, which were out of this world!

Service level was out of this world from front desk and onsite staff to massage therapists.

Met so many people from so many places all over the world which proves, most of us just want
 to experience all the world has to offer!

Our room the view and the beach the restaurants Italian Japanese  Frech world tour restaurants all create with a Mexican touch.

We arranged for a Cozumel snorkeling excursion through aqua world who had reps at the pool.

OSCAR AT SUNSET GRILL IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sommelier, Carlos Silva Soto gave a great wine appreciation class - he was patient, informative and adapted the material to suit participants seeking deeper knowledge versus just a fun dip into the world of wine.

We highly recommend a trip to this beautiful part of the world, as nothing about this small slice of heaven will disappoint.

The adult pool - if you have alone time, you must go here!

but things that were just meh or ok. We traveled with 2 kids, 5 and 6 and 2 adults.

The food was delicious at all a la carte restaurants with the French Sans Soucis adults only (pants, collared shirt and shoes for men) restaurant being our favourite.

although, I can’t complain about Jerry in the adults only lounge.

Activities for both adults and children were more than enough and we didn't had time to go out of the resort.

Overall very good facility for adults and children.

Great resort with lots of entertainment for kids and adults.

Because it was closed so often my kids didn’t enjoy staying at the kids club which didn’t allow us to take advantage of the adult pool and have some time to ourselves.

We ate our breakfasts in the adult lounge where they put out a spread every morning and it was peaceful and great.

Special thanks to Roger mi hermano de mexicano on the 1st floor adult swimming pool.

Excellent  staff especially Roger in adult bar, 8th floor bar Jerry for breakfast/ Antonio in evening and Pearla lobby bar.

They put 6 adults in 3 rooms with one bed, including two men, my brothers.

Maria in the adult bar on the 8th floor is great.

I enjoyed the adult pool and the adult bar and disco.

Every day the entertainment team organise things throughout the day to keep children and adults entertained.

Jerry (8th floor lounge), Jesus (bellman), Homer (adult pool bartender), Luis (lobby bartender)
Gabriel (Trafalgar bartender), Hector and Willberto (waiters) are why we keep coming back!

He was also a great entertainer during Disney show night.

Our kids all enjoyed the evening shows, particularly the Disney show.

Shows: really enjoyed disney show with the kids.

Our family only attended one show in the evening, the Disney show.

Shows: There was an hour long stage show each night at 8:30 pm - we saw the Disney show (Sunday) which we felt was more geared toward children, the end of the Michael Jackson show (Thursday) which was good, and the Decades show (Friday night) which was good.

There is so much to do for children to keep them entertained, we went to the evening shows and my child loved them, especially Disney and the circus show.

Excellent activities for the kids including: mini golf, waterpark, rock climbing, slides, games room, and great night shows (we watched the Disney show, Harry Potter, and Magic Show).

Amazing Michael Jackson show, Disney and Harry Potter!

It’s super safe (they check your wrist band with your kids before any kid can leave through the locked gate)… other activities, face painting, foam pool parties, water slides for big kids, big pools, Disney themed show.

Nightly entertainment was good with a different theme including Harry Potter and Disney.

Tacos in the mexican area were the best of the dinner opportunities
Staff was friendly, service was mostly attentive
Kids entertainment was on point - waterslide, kids club, face painting, disney shows etc.

The Cancun hotel zone view is amazing, sailing out on the water  and Xcaret in the Mayan Riviera is amazing, loved this so much more than Disney World.

We really liked the evening shows, especially the Disney one, it was magical.

They had a few different shows on, the Disney one was amazing!

We loved the Michael Jackson show & Disney show.

We went to the Disney night, and they literally rolled out the red carpet for a disabled guest and it was the best thing I had seen all week.

Majo inspired us with her energy at the Disney show, aqua fitness and bull riding at Wayne’s boots.

For entertainment they had a glow party for kids and a Disney show.

My pickier son even ate alllll his beef tacos!

Our kids now are grown, and we keep returning to this family resort for two main reasons: the people and the views.

Jackie from entertainment she is amazing very kind her English is perfect, she remember the name of my kids all week, it's great with kids activities and Aquagym her activities were always on time..

Lifeguards were stationed at the hotel beach and we felt very safe to let our kids play in the waves.

On a positive note, the amenities and beach are great for kids and we were able to make the most of them.

The staff put in a great deal off effort for the Christmas festivities, including Santa arriving by helicopter, which amazed the children.

He was extremely polite and patient with our whole crew of 8 including 3 little kids.

Jesus the bell boy was so wonderful, in many aspects.

We were there a week over Christmas with three familes and two grandchildren who loved the waterpark and all activities geared toward children.

Food was absolutely appalling in the buffet if you have kids, as mine lived off chicken nuggets from the snack bar for 2weeks.

but our kids loved it and it is exactly what we wanted, something budjet friendly that is kid friendly, there is lots to do at the kids water park , also a baby paradise for kids under 3 years old that had a bouncy castle and toys.

It was a shame really because I had high expectations of this holiday - our first with my son-in-law and new grandson

The girls were on time always , made us feel very comfortable.

Second favorite was Los Gallos- the Mexican restaurant.

Shout out to Jorge in the Mexican restaurant.

For example, one morning I asked Mary at the Mexican breakfast station for 2 fried eggs to top the delicious salbutes she made.

The closest we saw (and we did every specialty restaurant) was pico de gillo at breakfast for omlettes and a tablespoon of def not fresh guac at the Mexican restaurant with the fajitas.

but it is a low class hotel which is mostly occupied by local mexican residents mostly.

The buffet is catered for people who enjoy eating mexican food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The surprise for me being in Mexico and not able to get good Mexican food was a bummer.

The Italian restaurant was very good as was the Mexican restaurant.

The next day Rodrigo was administrator of the Mexican restaurant, where we were poisoned.

The food was ok. Nikolas at the Mexican restaurant was wonderful as was Eduardo at the Italian restaurant.

Great Timex staff excellent x booking of restaurants not so good x was a party of 8 and made our entertainment as hotels was poor x Mexican restaurant was the best coffee was amazing x work going on in hotel a lot of drilling late afternoon early evening x

This resort I liked so much the shows from entertainment are nice and my favorite was the Mexican show with my friend Andre my sisters won the Mexican scream.

Los Gallos is the Mexican themed restaurant.

We tried all the reservation restaurants and Wayne boots , la piazza , and the Mexican were our favorite .

Dining at the hotel's restaurants was a delightful experience, particularly the French and Mexican cuisine, which offered excellent food and pleasant service.
