The breakfast buffet has everything you could ever dream of.

Food and wine were, if anything, even more delicious.

The food in the restaurant, its abundance, variety and quality (we had breakfast and dinner) is beyond praise!

The breakfast buffet was spread out over multiple rooms,

The buffet breakfasts featured fresh dairy and meat products from the surrounding valleys, and the fresh fruit spread would be hard to beat.

After breakfast, they would advise us on which hiking trails to take.

The restaurant is very good indeed - delicious food.

We stayed one night and enjoyed the best buffet breakfast I have ever come across in Austria (and Austria is a wonderful country to visit if you like starting your day with a huge selection of locally-sourced foods!).

Service is excellent and the food is delicious.

The welcome, the kindness of the owners and the staff, the ambience, the wellness and of course the delicious meals.

Rooms, Wellness zone, outer zone and in breakfast too are so accurate.

Take the half board option the breakfasts and dinners are huge and incredible.

We cannot rate this hotel highly enough - we stayed half board and the food both at breakfast and in the evening was exceptional (modern european.)

We recommend the half-pension which covers the morning breakfast buffet and evening meal (worth every euro) as the hotel is about 10 kilometers from the nearest town (Lienz), so you are not within walking distance of any other restaurants.

We were greeted by the owner on check in, check out and at dinner and breakfast to make sure we were  happy.

Breakfast and the evening meal were very good the only thing I could criticise is that dining areas lack the intimate atmosphere that normally goes with fine dining.

The breakfast buffet was included and very nice.

The service, ran by Kruzer's family, is excellent, and all the staff is very attentive and helpful
The restaurants and food in general are wonderful, there's a lot of variety and everything is fresh and tasty!

Without a doubt, this hotel offers best food in the region, perhaps even Europe.

For dinner, there were always three options for each course.

The mango was among the best I've ever eaten.

The breathtaking view from the restaurant to the lake will make your stay unforgettable.

The town of LIENZ at the bottom of the mountain is also delightful and perfect for strolling and having lunch at one of the many cafes.

At dinner, Mr.Kreuzer walks around table to table ensuring that the guests are enjoying their time.

Mr. Kreuzer prepared succulent Crepes Suzettes at the table next to ours during dinner.

The food is excelent both evening and morning.

Breakfast and dinner were served in the dining room, which is bright and airy and sits, in part, over the lake.

The setting is beautiful and the rooms were quiet and comfortable.

Great view, nice and cosy rooms, perfect Restaurant and a warm welcoming staff.

We had a pleasant room with a balcony overlooking the garden.

Excellent discreet daily cleaning in the room.

Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with a fabulous view over the lake, its forested shores, and the impressive cliff beyond.

My favorite was the running water in multiple locations throughout the hotel - dining room, pool area.

The rooms facing the lake are recommended.

It is everything the reviews say , peaceful and quiet location, the friendliest staff, lovely rooms and nothing is too much trouble.

We had a garden room which was perfect for us as we were quite happy looking out over the garden (with a side view of the lake) which was very well maintained and looked over the fish ponds.

Everything was so organized, the rooms were super neat, spectacular view and extremely helpful staff.

The setting is gorgeous, the service superb, the food outstanding and the room was perfect.

The swimming pool and sauna are excellent,rooms are very nice  and the view of the lakes and forest is magnificent.

Excellent SPA with an indoor pool and relaxation areas, a wonderful garden with ponds with live fish.

The wellness area including the infinity pool, sauna, and steam bath were fabulous and the hotel's guests know how to make proper use of a sauna  The garden behind the wellness area was beautiful and teeming with fish.

We also loved the spa, massage, and hikes.

If you like saunas, they have a very pleasant and well equipped one with free-flowing spring water.

They have a spa area that can meet highest standards.

Nice SPA with swimming pool for kids, pools outside and for the bravest.

What drew us toward Lienz was the desire to drive along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road.

The staff were super friendly and provided us with English menus and everything they could to make our stay wonderful.

Sophie and Rok also looked after us in the restaurant and were charming and helpful and it would appear nothing is too much trouble.

The grandchildren want to jump in the lake and see the owner, Josef Kreuzer, make flambee.

As we left, the owner came out for a personal "Auf Wiedersehen".

Really its a little paradise like they call themself.The owners are so kind,never seen before.If you book here obligatory is the "hp" cause it is worth to try every evening the dinner.Ask Herr Kreuzer for his speciality - "flambierte Marillen".

When we arrived, we were welcomed by Ms.Kreuzer and her father, Mr.Kreuzer.

The staff are very friendly and the owners runs the hotel in a very hands on way.

Do not hesitate to contact Mr. Kreuzer if you need any sort of emergence assistance.

And obvioulsy i was astonished by breakfast because it was delicious and plentiful, i found each kind of nuts, sweets, sour ecc. ecc.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming, particularly the owners, and did everything they could to ensure our stay was comfortable.

During that time we found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating.

The views are to the mountain behind the Hotel and the Alps in the distance.

And, of course, amazing nature - a lake, forest, mountains.

Our room overlooked the lake, the Tristachersee.

The lake, mountain, and nature are magical.

A lake surrounded by lush forest 830m above sea level.

The atmosphere is stunning, you can eat here overlooking the beautiful lake- very relaxing.

There is plenty to do for families close by (white-water rafting, rock climbing, zip wires, a small zoo, walking the Grossglockner and mountain biking.

Such a peaceful and beautiful location on a lake up in the Dolomite Mountains.

Of note, the hotel is located a bit outside Lienz

The view alone was worth it - then add on top of that: Super friendly staff, spacious clean rooms, delicious food, beautiful pool area.

This hotel is a beautifully maintained family run hotel, the meals are fantastic and the gardens are well cared for, my son enjoyed using the pool and slide.

There is a beatiful swimming pool and a full featured spa with sauna whirlpool, etc.Breakfastand dinner was really good.

The staff were very friendly; the food was delicious (breakfast, lunch, cake, and dinner were included); the room was super clean, comfortable, and spacious; the balcony was an added bonus; and the views were truly breathtaking.

I had a room with a quiet location and a partial view over the mountains.

It is in a beautiful mountain location on the side of a valley, with lovely views from the bedrooms across the valley to the mountains on the other side.

The most amazing thing about this hotel are the magnificent views they are truly breathtaking.

There are plenty of walks nearby  & roads to seek out quiet streams & mountains

My husband had the classic Wiener schnitzel with potatoes, and I had a toast with salad.

and breakfast was included, and was more than adequate.

Breakfast had a great range including cooked items which was the first we had seen on our trip.

At 5'8", I had sufficient (but not plentiful) room.

The continental breakfast in the restaurant was a hearty affair, and was available bright and early from 7.30am to allow and earlt start for those of us who had a long day ahead.

Rooms are sufficiently spacious and clean.

The rooms are quiet and comfortable and clean.

The room had a recently refurbished bathroom, which was spotlessly clean, as was the bedroom.

If you get the right weekend (last week inJune), the Grossglockner is closed for 4 hours whilst there is a vintage motorbike race up it!!!

The staff is very friendly and the price value ratio is ok.

The gentleman who checked us in (apparently the dad of the family) was very friendly

Maybe he thought we were specifically looking for a park?

This gashof was open and offered a reduced menu after lunch time.

We ate in the hotel and the service and food was lovely and again good value.

There's a good, local fare menu in the restaurant - with two outside terraces - and some wonderful turn of the century furniture and fittings in the hallways.

Fortunately, we did eventually get back to sleep.

however we slept so well that the early morning bells ringing people to mass did not wake us.

It seems like it would be possible to set up wifi in the secondary building as well.

We did have the window cracked open because it was a little warm.
