Beach front and only a few hundred meters walking distance from downtown Hua Hin.

So, returning to Hua Hin after a year and a second 2 week visit to the Centara, right on the beach, along the road from the iconic Hua Hin old (and recently opened new) railway station.

The pool and the surrounding garden areas are excellent, the beach is fantastic, all the staff are nice & friendly, the food is good and we love using The Club arrangements.

The plantation style of the hotel, set in huge, tropical gardens, beautifully maintained, with  immediate access to a sandy beach, make it a quite unique hotel in Thailand.

Easy access to beach, night market and nearby golf courses.

Myself experiencing C. the second time - no changes since 2016. very friendly staf, good breakfast, food @ Coast, especially Hagi!

Either that or relax by the pool, take a stroll along the beach or have a shop at one of the local food markets.

The rooms are lovely, pool and beach area fantastic, staff lovely.

On the plus side the location of the hotel is superb being in the centre of Hua Hin when leaving the hotel from the front and right on the beach at the rear.

Breakfasts were good with plenty of choice and we ate at the Thai ( excellent) and the Beach bar/ restaurant ( called Coast ) which was also good - particularly at lunch times.

The beautiful gardens and the hotel being right on the beach just enhanced the experience.

In the most positive way possible nothing has changed over the years: making the guests feel very welcome, offering service to the highest of standards, in a colonial style hotel setting with its beautiful gardens and lots of space!

We would like to point out three things: the friendliness from the amazing staff, the delicious food and drinks and the wonderful garden.

No need to rush for a bed by the pool as there are several pools in the gardens and hundreds of beds.

The Hotel with its 19th Century Charme and magnificent gardens greets you warmly.

This resort has not changed and offers total and complete relaxation in wonderful gardens.

Highs are the feeling of space, lovely high ceilings, large rooms, great food, and beautiful gardens, carefully maintained.

Our room (307) had a large well furnished terrace with far reaching views over the gardens and the sea.

This hotel has a great character about it , no doubt from its long history - the gardens are immaculate and service was good throughout.

Hi all we have stayed at the Centara many times over years, even before the garden wing was built, when it was called the Sofitel.over the years we have gotten to know a lot of the staff who have helped us have some great holidays with family an friends.

The garden is incredible - we enjoyed it every day.

Loved the classic ambiance of this 100-year old resort, with impeccable extensive gardens and animal-shaped trees.

Beautiful colonial-style buildings, expansive and extremely well-manicured gardens, relaxing vibe, friendly staff and great value.

Once you enter the vast hotel grounds you are transported into an oasis of tranquility surrounded by topiary and beautifully manicured hedging full of flowers.

but step outside the grounds and you are in the centre of a vibrant town.

The grounds were extremely pretty and you rarely noticed anyone else walking around by the villas.

Our particular favourite is Suan Bua, which is slightly offset from the main hotel grounds.

The attention to detail and quality of service is superb here and there is so much space in the grounds to relax in.

The hotel grounds are very impressive with a great deal of topiary which are well maintained.

The grounds are extensive and well maintained and are large enough to provide the peace and tranquillity that make for a relaxing holiday, and it's location close to town means that finding great places to eat is easy to do.

This hotel from the outside is just stunning, the grounds, it’s colonial style 
, it’s grandeur and it’s location are just magnificent.

The hotel and its ground are really impressive , with a beach front location and it is surprisingly very big.

The immaculate grounds go down to a lovely stretch of beach and there is a snack bar serving cocktails and other drinks.

The property and grounds are all well maintained and very clean like a Disneyland of SE Asia which of course does not exist.

If you appreciate beautiful buildings and grounds you will love Centara Hua Hin, where simply walking around the property and the manicured gardens is pleasurable, especially if you like taking photographs.

Of course we loved the pools, central location, food, etc,

No problem swimming as there is a choice of three pools in the resort and one in the villas.

Old hotel which needs total refurbishment and poor English communication of the staff.

but due to poor health we had four this trip.

but unfortunately their efforts stand in the shade of the many poor performers trying their best but lacking supervision this unfortunately becomes very clear at the breakfast restaurants every morning where a few staff are trying their very best to get it to work but with a supervisor around things would feel so much relaxed.

The food is not top and the breakfast has a lot of minuses: not much healthy food, poor fruits, a lot of sweet food.

Their TV channel selection is rather poor with respect to English-language channels.

but again service poor and some meals not available, Coast we found good except for the Surf & Turf which we found a bit restrictive.

The poor gentleman trying to sunbath next to them refused.

 we spent 3 nights in this hotel having made a mistake of booking a poor hotel 2 miles away.

Unfortunately my poor planning had us arriving from Bangkok on a bank holiday weekend and the traffic was bad.

In our room the king size bed was just a few smaller beds pushed together, very poor for a hotel of this price and quality.

We found drinks to be a little expensive, partly caused by the poor exchange rate at the moment

but selling your top rooms at full price with on going building works and then lying about the length of time it will be on going is very poor.

It's a lottery, you can get a good or poor villa.

(Similar thing already happened with another Centara in Chiang Mai awarding points for business) Shocking customer loyalty and very poor management.

Our first impression wasn't too good, as the reception staff did not show us around the hotel (a big area) leaving us to figure out where we should go before our room was ready.Their English was quite poor and difficult to understand.

Staff were sensational, food was delicious and facilities were fantastic.

Mondays at Hagi for the Japanese buffet is excellent with Wagu beef and the best Sashimi I have ever tasted.

We breakfasted most mornings at the main restaurant the service was slick and the lovely lady always remembered the fresh mangoes and English breakfast tea with extra tea bags.

When you add great food and service in the bars and restaurants and lovely staff in all areas, its really hard to fault it.

but you can’t get tasty food so close to the villas in lovely surroundings.

The breakfast is amazing, you have a huge amount of different types of food to choose from.

It provides the opportunity to dine in four different restaurants, each one with a distinct specialisation.

Fantastic accommodation and facilities and a great choice of restaurants.

Everything was perfect! The staff (reception, room service, entrance, guest service etc.)

Very close to all restaurants & shopping areas.

Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, great food and the chance to play golf everyday if you so wish.

We enjoyed several visits to The Museum Café and was always well looked after by Napita and her staff.

The Japanese Hagi Restaurant and the Elefant Bar were fine.

The breakfast itself was superb, as were the other restaurants on the site.

Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas Hua Hin gives you luxury accommodation, wonderful staff and very impressive food.

Hotel is central to the walking area and restaurants of Hua Hin.

I recommend you book a club room with Club benefits as this is excellent value and gives you access to the Club Lounge.

The room is great, it has a balcony and is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable.

Our room was very spacious and met all our needs.

Luckily, the view of the sunrise from our ocean view room was magical every morning.

In -room dining was good and price is ok. Breakfast not bad, not marvelous.

Warm welcoming staff, very comfortable rooms, tasty food and atmospheric cafe terrasse trasnporting you back to the 1920ies.

The smell of the frangipani trees wafted up toward our room daily creating a spa like atmosphere.

When we went to see it the smell was awful.

the four-poster outdoor cabana was full of water and had to be cleaned on arrival as it was mouldy.

The smell in the rooms only disappears after a few days when housekeeping has helped out.

I am cigar smoker and gentlemen smoking cigars are hardly tolerated in front of the Elephant bar while sleeveless shirt and flip flops seem to be ok.

I did not like the room so much, bit outdated with lots of dark wood with strong smell of wood polish

The aircon is too loud to sleep.

Nobody is nice, horrible service, the room smelled like trash and the food was HORRIBLE!

Second reason not five star is that they do not have dedicated wings for none smokers.

Ham: ultra low quality, shining and even somewhat wet certainly because of chemicals.

We had a few problems during our visit, starting with a damp room

Not only were we given a horribly musty room with the wrong configuration, the front desk supervisor showing us our room( Fae) suggested she was giving us an upgrade, when in fact, it was the same category we had booked.

No skewer, no napkin just handed over dripping staff fingers to guests hands. Disgusting!

however thankfully only had for one day didn’t feel it was worth the money you got bed turn down with scent on your pillow, a la Carte breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and pre dinner canopies with 30% discount on drinks.

however every night in the night in our room I got woken up by the smell of sewerage.

Also there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom which I was really put off centara network

Bed had an odour and made me think that the bed had not been changed when the last guest departed.

Added bonus was the volleyball victory over the Centara staff……better luck next year guys!

My advice is if you have a problem then let the team know, I guarantee that they will do their best to give you a good outcome, and resolve any issues you may have.

The staff are incredible a big shout out to the team in the Club thank you, Aida, Tuk, Kean and the lovely smiley Beam.

Senior management continually interacting with guests day and night - very impressive.

The whole team, led by GM Jan, always manages to satisfy the needs of the guests in the best possible way

All the staff were friendly and efficient and very well led by Jan who is very visible.

The regular greeting we receive from the staff is “welcome to your second home”

The level of care and attention to detail which characterises this hotel is truly exceptional, which leads to outstanding standards in all aspects of the hotel.

As always, an excellent hotel with an excellent staff.

The employees are all the time extremally friendly and helpful.

However, it is the staff that set this hotel apart, the service is personal and attentive.

The Thai restaurant located at the same area as the villas club area was very nice, quality food, ultra friendly staff.

The choice and quality of the Thai food in this particular restaurant, added to its tranquil setting, makes it the one restaurant to which we regularly return.

That was amazing and now I can cooking authentic Red and Green curries along with jasmine rice and pad Thai!! !

At the breakfast everybody can find a great selection: Western, Thai, Chinese … This was so delicious!

Courteous, professional staff, great food (especially Thai cuisine at the Suen Bua restaurant) and entertainment at the Coast Bar & Restaurant and the Elephant Bar make this resort a regular for my diary

Its colonial feel inspired by Thai royalty is the perfect retreat.

Very good to maintain building in Thai Stye.

It is a low rise expansive property with a colonial railway style mixed with Thai art and theme.

but with comfortable rooms; excellent staff with typically friendly Thai service; good food and wonderful pool choices for all age groups.

It was a great day trip, in a very comfortable minibus, we saw many interesting temples and learned about Thai culture in a fun way!

We tried the Suan Bua Thai restaurant and the Coast restaurant and the Thai massage - recommended!

This hotel has everything you need from gift shop full of beautiful Thai craft items, highly rated restaurants with buffet nights and promotions, great bar with live music, 4 swimming pools with access to the beach and a relaxing spa.

Close by the hotel are a range of restaurants too, and the pier restaurant is a must for anyone who loves seafood Thai style.

There are many great restaurants to choice from, Coast at the beach, the beautiful Railway restaurant, Japanese Hagi, and Thai Suan Bua.

Especially the uncle's staff who dress in Thai clothes who take care of the car in front of the hotel.

The customer service is beyond compare and everywhere we went, we were greeted with smiles and the Thai traditional greetings.

I love this resort, the adult pool is nice, the food is good, and the service is great!

Activities here There are both children's and adults' items.

There are an abundance of swimming pools, one mixed for adults and children, and one for adults only, plus lagoons that wind their way right around the resort.

The adult pool was so relaxing and quiet!

But best of all was the adult pool allowing those unencumbered by children to have a peaceful read, swim & beer.

Also pool areas are nice and clean and we really liked the fact that there is also separated pool area only for adults because we were without kids.

but its also nice for adults (who need a holiday too) to have a little sanctuary where they can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time.

The staff is very attentive and welcoming, the hotel is near the beach and has multiple pools as well for kids and adults.

There are both a family ppol and an adult pool, in addition to the immediate access to the beach (which is soft, clean, and private).

Hotel area is amazing, great services at the adult pool.Quiet and good for relaxing, Khun Yo-yo is an excellent service, always attentive to every single guest who is coming.

The recreational areas were delightful, with attention given to separate children’s and adult swimming pools.

The pool area is huge and got a separate adult pool.

A special mention to Housekeeping of rooms 3205 and 3206, Milk by the adult pool and a lovely lady on the concierge desk who looked after us very well and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Thankfully, there was also an adult only pool which was just perfect for us grownups!!

There is an adult pool too which is beautiful with excellent service from the staff setting up your pool beds upon arrival and keeping you hydrated with ice water while you are there.

Sent an request for room suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids, what we got was one room with 2 single bed and baby cot.

Our days started at the adult pool for normally around 4 hours the staff at the pool were amazing and always had our Sun beds made up and always ensured we had plenty of ice water given the heat of the days.

There were two pools - family and adult only, which was nice.

I especially enjoyed reading and lounging at the adults only pool.

There are a lot of facilities for children, which is why the hotel also attracts many families with children.

From the moment we checked in, kids were treated to complimentary cotton candy, slushies and ice lollies, All staff would go out of their way to help us which was commendable.

I just check in today in  December 2023, they demand us to pay for additonal payment for my daughter.

The kids club is welcoming and attentive to the children.

My youngest son injured his feet at the pool and Jay from Health and safety team (wearing black polo shirt uniform), he has been excellent provided first aid for my son and he followed up every day to cleaned the wound and changed the bandage  for him.

The kids loved the complimentary popsicles and cotton candy.

The hotel goes well beyond great for handicapped and older guests and also provides a super experience for children.

I come here with my family, have a children, its perfect for all.

There are many swimming and play areas for kids to enjoy

The staff are also wonderful - they remember you and even tracked me down one day to tel me about a kids activity.

The first aid staffs are promply help and be very nice to a little kid with special balloon.

He provide the prompt response and give the useful advice to my my little niece after she got a small incident.
