The balcony was big enough and provided a clear view of the ocean and I could also see the Thap Tram Huong (Observation deck) on the Promenade by the Nha Trang Beach.

Good points about the hotel:
• big room with a split-level sitting area (not suitable for those with mobility difficulties) 
• huge balcony to laze around and look out to the beach and the sea.

The sea view room with balcony was great!

Excellent service and nice hotel, Beautiful sea view and balcony.

Incredible bathroom with an extra large shower (you could have a small party in there) and a balcony with the lost incredible views, overlooking Nha Trang beach.

The view from the balcony in the morning was beautiful, and the outdoor furniture was comfortable.

Our room was extremely comfortable and a good size,really loved the balcony view.

The balcony view of the coastline was really excellent and at times I just opened the sliding door to let the sea breeze in rather than turn on the cold AC.

The Novotel Nha Trang is a lovely hotel: sunken shower, balcony, split level room, beautiful large comfortable bed.

I had a wicked view of Vinpearl at night from my balcony.

Rooms have a balcony and ours had a lovely view of the beach.

Our room, on 9th floor had an enormous bed, large recessed shower plus additional shower room in bathroom, sitting area down steps, leading to lovely balcony facing the beach and rising sun.

The best thing is that every room has a balcony opening towards the sea, with rattan coffee table and chairs to enjoy the view.

From the warm  greeting at reception, to the spaciious room with a balcony view over the beach,  relaxing spa, bountiful breakfast, extra-helpful concierge, well - what else is there to say.

even though we were on the side of the building we had an uninterrupted view.

Only one thing have to mention that the building construction near the hotel is quite noisy especially in the morning.

The pool is sort of a bust as it's relatively small and shielded from the sun by other buildings,

but it's always in the shade & the noise from the road & the building sites on either side makes it almost unusable.

Stuck at the side of the building with barely any sun loungers  and a view of a wall. 3.

Two slow lift to serve a 17 storey building just isn't enough and wait time is too long.

Pool on the 3 or or 4th floor is small and I don't think gets much sun because of tall buildings nearby

Nha Trang is in the middle of a building boom with very many new hotels and houses under construction, looks like it could double in size in the near future, hard to see how the infrastructure will cope.

Decent gym, pool was small and unfortunately noisy from neighboring building work going on at the time, something the hotel can't help.

but a lot smaller than looks like on website, and sun has gone from pool area around 3.30 - 4.00 pm due to shade from buildings behind.

Nha Trang is a building site (as is most of VN at the moment) so prebooking is a bit of a gamble.

Our room was situated on the side of the building with an angled deck and a view of both the ocean/beach and the main road/strip.

The hotel building was a tall one and unfortunately its shadow fell across the beds in the afternoon at this time of year (March).

The building next door was in the process of been built.

The north side has construction and will be noisey.

When u open the door its back to reality extrem traffic 24 hours and noise from construction.

There is a lot of construction going on in Nha Trang at the moment so I wanted to ensure that the room I was booking a) had an ocean view and b) didn't suffer from any external construction noise.

but where we thought we were going to be seeing the beach we were seeing, hearing and smelling a rusty old roof and a construction site.

So, the main disappointment here is noise from constructions starting from 7 am!

I also found it odd that they shut down one of the elevators during due to low occupancy.

While the hotel itself is a bit older (only two elevators) there are many things going for it.

but during the morning peak breakfast times and the times just before checkout time, I doubt the two elevators are sufficient to cope with the number of guests taking the lift downwards.

18 floors and only 2 lifts so as we were on 8th floor spent a lot of the time waiting for a lift!

The only negative I have is that the lifts were super slow.

The elevators were a bit of a pain, only 2 lifts for 16 floors and the stairs only went up 3 floors which was lobby, restaurant and swimming pool!

Lifts are a bit slow so need to accept this point.

But the double glazed balcony doors kept out most of the noise from the music event across the road and n any case it was over long before bedtime.

It is by a very loud road and by a central spot with many stages of terrible music.

Also Novotel very noisy staff shouting loud early in the morning and hotel playing music from 6 am which is heard in your rooms.

-there should be music in the fitness room.

During a full body massage, the staff were listening to music in their headphones which I could hear and were on their phones.

If you do have an ocean/sea view room, be prepared to a wake up "call" when the locals swim at the beach, and do their aerobics at 5.30 each morning, to loud music.

The NNT is on the waterfront so be warned you may hear music from about 6am when local people assemble all along NT beach to do their swimming and or exercising.

Very loud karaoke type music in the evening, even with windows closed it was unpleasant, fortunately stopped at 10pm.

but some in our group were woken by traffic, sounds of crashing waves and early morning exercise music.

This is well worth the trouble of getting up to witness, especially with the loud speaker piped music, the different dance routines (Zumba & flag waving) & the various forms of Tai Chi.

The breakfast might need some tune up, as in my opinion is too oriental and lacks some classic things for a Westerner.

The room is clean, friendly staffs and great location on Tran Phu Street.

Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable, great free wifi, great location; spa was fantastic amazing buffet breakfast!

Always more bottled  water in our rooms and the rooms are very clean.

I had the warmest welcome, the room was spotless, the shower is very impressive and the location can’t be bettered.

Beautiful clean rooms, amazing view of the beach, tasty buffet breakfast with a wide variety of foods to choose from, nice private relaxing pool area, sectioned off area on beach with day beds, umbrellas and food & drink service, excellent day spa, and very friendly accommodating staff, especially Ann who went out of her way to make our stay at Novotel extra special, it was greatly appreciated!

Spent 4 days here last week in April 2018 , we checked in nice and early and by a lovely lady called Anna, room was very clean with a great view side sea view, food was good and reasonable, small pool on 3rd floor with food and drink available often served by Pink , nice polite girl.

The service was great , breakfast was fantastic ( coffee could be worked on ) , rooms were clean and in a great location, so overall a nice hotel👍.

The rooms were very clean and spacious and I found the bed very comfortable.

My only concerns is with the standard of the beaches, hopefully the future will bring awareness to all the hotels along the beach stretch to apply for higher standards concerning the better upkeep, there is far to many cigarette

but there was a bit of mildew smell if you set the A/C on low.

Room average at best very dated particularly bathroom and whole room stunk of cigarette smoke.

There are a couple of steps down to a seating area and the balcony and it would be wise to keep a light on at night otherwise you could have a nasty fall when getting out of bed as one of our group did.

but apparently there is a no smoking policy. .

Restaurant  not well ventilated, smell of food greeted me at the door, so opted for room service pizza.

Smelt of stale smoke, no bedside table or light on my wife's side.

As much as the Bed linen was clean and beautifully ironed, the Pillows were smelly.

No non smoking area within this sun lounge section so you cop it badly if your unlucky.

The surprise to me is they offer me the free transport from hotel to the airport on my check out.

The beach is across the street, the local shops and places to eat everywhere around you, transportation everywhere, perfect place to stay!

Airport transportation was arranged prior to arrival.

Transport to and from the airport can be arranged through the hotel at a minimal cost as well as assistance with any tours you wish to book.

The entire hotel staff was friendly & helpful especially the spa staff (Ms. Huong Duong & Ms. Tram).

Special mention to Tram, the spa therapist .

Special mention to Ninh who works there, he was always very helpful and goes out of his way to ensure your stay is comfortable and smooth; whether it be giving advice on what to do/where to go, organising tours and transportation or simple things as ensuring room has everything you need.

I missed the kind ladies name at the concierge desk who arranged our transport to Ho Chi Minh

He organised our checkout and also private transport to the airport.

Transportation to and from the airport was very convenient and easy to set up.

The hotel limo service for airport transportation which the front desk recommended us was exellent.

Two staff at reception were extremely professional and went out of their way to provide us with the best service, Mr Tan who organised our check in and Ms Yen who organised our check out and transport.

Beyond Novotel the other way along beach road seems to be the start of the "sterile" area with nothing much interesting around and a spread of high rise hotels (albeit the Sheraton has a great rooftop bar- transport around vnd20 will get you back or 5 to 10 mins walk).

There will be taxis waiting at the old airport to take you to Novotel (~20 to 30k VND).

Got upgraded to the Superior King Room with Ocean View which was truly a welcoming surprise!

99.9% of employees we engaged with were very attentive; our room (superior) had excellent views and amenities.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff  during check in and check out, upgrade room very quick, foods are ok, reasonable price with buffet, hotel on the beach it's very easy for you to swim and so many sea food restaurants around the hotel.

It’s totally worth it to have the sea view room.

The rooms and the views of the beach  are just incredible.

The one thing I wish I'd known ahead of time -- air conditioning is limited to between 23-24C (73-75F or so).

but the room was smelly and the aircon was noisy in the main room so we had to close the door.

Another gotcha with these rooms was that it felt a lot hotter even with the A/C going full blast.

I needed to close window blinds always, when i was out from a room and also asked additional keycard from a lobby, that i used to have Aircon on 24/7.

The elevators do not have AC and get really crowded often.

Our Tv volumes wasn’t working, the fan would randomly turn on and off and the wifi was horrible.

Fan that also works as a lamp had no sound to it, airconditioning also very silent.

Oh the only recommendation I have for the hotel is to heat your pool as we could not use it the whole time as it was freezing.

Be prepared for a lack of air conditioning,

They went above and beyond by express shipping the tablet to where I was staying in Saigon, triple packing it with foam, duct tape and plastic to ensure its safe arrival!

Coupled with a rather firm mattress and the climate controlled a/c which would switch on loudly every 10 minutes .

Just do not turn the air conditioning as much please.

but the bathroom without ventilation fan so smell stay inside quite long.

The room was ok except the last night when water was dropping from the ventilation system.

The hotel pool is freezing cold and its a bit of a wind trap -

Private beach area- a tunnel to the beach

Only negative feedback is that the pool was freezing cold.

The hotel has a great view to the beach nearby.

Also a plus is that they have a tunnel leading to the beach.

There are a number of good seafood eating options close to the hotel and the ones on the beach are easy to get to via the tunnel.

They even have an underground tunnel from the hotel to the beach for a 2-5 minutes walk (depending on your speed).

The food at the restaurant is quite nice and the beach view is very decent.

Also a plus that they had a tunnel to the beach.

The Hotel was right in the middle of the waterfront strip and close to everything - food, shopping, beach.

Another con is if you aren’t Chinese you don’t get breakfast at the front with the beach views you get ushered into private rooms for breakfast with the view of the building site next door.

Location is very good, tunnel to the beach is nice add-on, hotel is clean and they even have true Finnish sauna (Sawo kiuas).

There's a separate passage to the beach and the skylight bar is close, so it's nice.

We booked three club suite rooms at the Havana in September and really enjoyed the views from the rooms especially the view of the Nha Trang bay from the bathroom!!!!

Hotel is right beside the beach and view is fantastic.

Quick access to the beautiful beach with great attendants.

My room faced the beach and was meticulously clean.

The beach staff were excellent and the breakfast personnel were also amazing.

I would certainly recommend the Havana Nha Trang Hotel to anyone wanting to stay on the beach in Nha Trang.

The Havana is conveniently located on main drag with private underground access to beach.

Nice Place, Comfortable and Good Location.

The location is great, right in the center of town.

The location is also good for travel to the other place, direct underground tunnel to the beach side and very very love for skylight bar.

The hotel itself is in a brilliant location within the resort.

- Location: Central located with the beach right across the street and near a lot of sightseeings (Ponagar tower, Hon Chong promontory,. ).

We found the location of the hotel comfortable, set right on the beach it really is nice.

The pool is small and full of Chinese loud families.

Upon our arrival we had to dodge countless of tourist buses filled with loud Chinese tourists.

Only downside is noise from outside can be very loud and wakes you early, also full of tourists so waiting for the elevators can take time.

Hotel is obviously marketed to Chinese tour groups who fill the place and are very loud.

But during the stay housekeeping was ok.

These groups usually travel in group and they are super loud, even in restaurants and elevators.

They spoke too loud and they made everything chaos at elevator, skylight bar, restaurants, .

I would recommend the highest floor possible to gets away from street noise at night as the constant honking is very loud.

It will not be a secret for too long, as development is booming.

but I am glad we were not much lower or high as the noise from the street is loud and at night so it the music from bar on the roof.

The only word I can think of to describe this hotel is "NOISY" this is the worlds most noisiest hotel I have ever come across there are crowds of people everywhere you turn and it's bloody LOUD!!!!

A neighbouring room was extremely loud late one night disturbing my kids sleep.

Unfortunately,hordes of Chinese tour groups who communicate by either screaming and shouting arrive nightly very often after midnight.Since the great majority of rooms have connecting doors on either side with soundproofing as good as cardboard you hear absolutely everything in the ajoining rooms except breathing.As well,a couple of bars nearby have loud music and a large building will be going up next door very soon.

Overall a good place not counting those loud chinese who were shouting and talking loud in the corridor during the sleep time

but to party the night away in less chaotic style. P.S.

Later in the morning they'll start playing music over the loudspeaker (sounds like workout music).

It can get very busy and a little chaotic due to the many tour parties that se this hotel.

It was extremely busy with various organised groups, noisy kids and other loud travellers.

Other than that, bed is comfortable, room was clean, and there was very good fresh fruit set out upon arrival.

First sight is that my room is so clean and clear with sea view.

The breakfast was decent (as is the food in the whole area), the room was very clean, the view from the room was fantastic, the sand is about a 7/10, as was the water.

The rooms are clean and the staffs here are friendly, especially Hoai Phuong.

the services are still up to standard, breakfast is great and diverse (+ quick room service at night), and rooms are clean and spacious.

Our rooms were also very clean and spacious, with full furniture such as air conditioning, refrigerator, TV.
