The next day we had the breakfast, oh my gosh they really make it all look so fancy.

They even made sure we were aware that we could request specialty items that were not part of the standard buffet breakfast.

We loved starting our days with the delicious breakfast and seeing Carlos in the breakfast room.

Claudia made our breakfast extra special by hooking me up with all of my gluten free breakfast treats and a to-go goodie bag.

Excellent friendly staff especially Carlos and Claudia during breakfast.

Claudia was able to help me and she brought me some bread and a muffin heated up!

The breakfast was good, if typical of RI,

First time to NYC, front desk was exceptional as well as the breakfast staff.

Elevator service was good with no problem during busy breakfast hours.

but ok for me and I love doing pancake by myself.

Full breakfast every morning included and the breakfast staff especially Carlos and Claudia were exceptional and a credit to the hotel.

Breakfast is good with the usual fare (waffles, cereal, hot eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, etc.).

The oatmeal with toppings was delicious and appreciated by the entire family.

the complementary breakfast made our stay perfect and Claudia and Carlos were always available for whatever we needed.

Staff were very attentive especially Claudia and Carlos who warmly took care of my family during breakfast.

The complimentary breakfast was nice and the staff in the dining area were the absolute sweetest.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, I loved everything, the breakfast was excellent and the employees are very friendly and helpful, specially Carlos who was kind and attentive with me, my husband and my 3 kids

The breakfast attendants, Claudia and Carlos, were quick to pick up dishes and all aspects of the breakfast were clean and plentiful.

but I have a gluten allergy and I asked one of the staff in the breakfast area if they had any gluten free bread in the back.

The breakfast staff Carlos and Claudia were outstanding!

The main reason why I am writing this review is to comment on the excellent service that was provided by the morning breakfast staff in Carlos and Claudia.

The staff have been very friendly and are always eager to help :) 

Special shout-out to Claudia and Carlos (staff that help out during breakfast) - they always greet us with a smile early in the morning and are super attentive with their service.

The breakfast staff led by Claudio and Carlos were fantastic.

The front desk folks are amazing and the breakfast staff was incredible, especially Claudia and Carlos.

Breakfast was awesome (different each day and plenty of options) and so we’re the breakfast staff workers.

The front desk was always available and supportive,  and the staff helping during breakfast hours went above and beyond to make us feel confortable.

The breakfast staff was outstanding, specially Carlos and Claudia who always worked the extra mile giving an exceptional service.

Again, the breakfast staff Carlos and Claudia was the HIGHLIGHT of my stay.

Staff at breakfast are the best, specially Claudia who was very helpful and kind.

Carlos and Claudia who are helping in the breakfast area are very nice and kind.

The hotel does have some minor downfalls, including too few elevators and construction noise,

I would have given the hotel 4* if they had been upfront about the construction.

Honking, construction noises, the din of people, the light pollution and the stinky smell that permeates the city, all contribute to make this city, a city that doesn't care if you sleep.

We stayed on the 6th floor and could hear construction at night

Second, when we opened the window, pilled up dust outside the window sill blew right in, and it always smelled like concrete or any sort of construction debris.

Ask for room 1504 as it gave a great view towards it, looking up, of course (hotel is only 17 stories high) and, as of this time of writing, construction on the empty lot in between this Marriott and the Chrysler Building hasn't yet started,

My only complain was the construction next door.

The hotel did not alert us to the construction

There was construction outside of our window that made sleeping in difficult

Keep in mind there is LOUD CONSTRUCTION outside.

I would add that they are doing construction on a near-by hotel so the rooms are noisy during the day.

As the work week began, we discovered very early Tuesday morning that an extremely loud construction project is going on next door.

Although the room looked out over a construction site (an empty plot of land in 47th Street), the whole week we were staying there was no actual construction being done.

In the morning was woken up by construction site next door.

Only downside was construction of new building at rear of hotel.

If you want less noise then don't stay in a room facing 48th street-  it is very loud most of the night with sounds of construction and trucks.

The elevator is too slow, mostly during breakfast and afternoon.

Elevators are limited and very, very slow.

And let’s just add that for all of this fun, I got to pay half a grand a night and they only had one elevator working.

Dirty linens were piled in front of the elevator and it took several days before those disappeared.

We were given a room near the elevator, back facing and with men working just outside our window and hacking would start at 9 AM!!

even though I called the hotel directly well before arriving to request a higher room away from the elevator.

Other than the stay not posting to my Marriott Rewards account yet (a bad trend with Marriott recently) and the long-ish wait for an elevator in the mornings, nothing to complain about

The second was the elevator which always smelled bad for some reason.

The only negative I can think of was the wait for elevators sometimes was a little longer than we would have liked.

One star is missing due to:
Smudges and fingerprints in the stainless elevator cabin, no Ethernet jack in the room for laptop I-net connectivity, the bottled water is filtered water not spring, no hotel information brochure/folder in the room -

One employee took 5 of us around the corner to use the service elevator!

There are two elevators, so despite the size of the hotel, you don't end up waiting forever to ride to your room.

My only small issue was that the elevators were a little slow so we ended up walking a few times.

When we arrived at our room, we were slightly apprehensive since it was right outside of the elevators

The elevators were overworked at checkout time too,

Back home now reflecting on my great stay with my family.

it has variation on the buffet and includes a lot of options for all the family.

They made sure everyone was greeted with a smile and they always made sure that our family's needs were attended to.

It was really nice to have the space to visit with my family within the suite

Our family of 4 had a corner 2-room suite on the 4th floor, which was the perfect size for us.

I highly recommend this place fir family or solo trip

I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

My son liked making waffels for all the family.

One of the breakfast servers, Claudia was especially helpful to me and my family!

The breakfast is beyond  expectations they  have  a variety of options available the whole family or business group to enjoy.

Family of four abd we stayed in rooms 710\910 with spereate bedroom and it was great.

Good experience—clean hotel and spacious room for a family of 4.

I will definitely come back and will strongly recommend it to my friends and family.

There is also a great breakfest included with super service.

Complimentary Breakfast was great and the hosts, Claudia and Carlos, were exceptional.

Free breakfast with service by Carlos, Claudia and many others were fabulous- Carlos even retrieved the cell phone left by my wife.

Hot breakfast included - was great to have the option of a quick onsite meal and then head out on foot.

The breakfast was included and twice Claudia was able to help me throughout the stay!!!

Most exceptional were the wait staff at the free breakfast by the names of Carlos and Claudia.

We've been using Residence Inn hotels for years, and they have very convenient kitchenette and complimentary breakfasts.

Included breakfast is the best, Claudia and Carlos made us feel at home every morning, which was perfect to get each day going.

Room was clean and spacious and a special mention about the complimentary breakfast and Carlos for his super professional and friendly service!

Wanted to stay here based on size of rooms and free breakfast.

The complimentary breakfast was much better than the typical one in most hotels.

They also have a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, fruit & a waffle maker.

The full included breakfast is a delight and many choices are available from cereals, pancakes, scrambled eggs, yogurts and fruit.

Breakfast at the hotel is a wonderful variety of hot food, fresh fruit and delicious coffee, The Kitchen staff, and Carlos in particular, are so accommodating it's like visiting family every time I come back.

The breakfast had a decent selection, with oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, eggs and bacon/sausage.

but the best thing is the breakfast with a decent selection of fruit; yoghurt's; oatmeal and breads especially with Carlos and Claudia who keep an attentive eye on our needs and keep the place running smoothly.

Breakfast is lovely: eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, etc.

Their breakfast buffet is generous with lots of options including fresh fruit, regular and iced coffee (nice treat), plus standard hot eggs, meats and cereals, breads, and muffins.

The buffet breakfast caters well to all tastes with cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, waffles, etc., and a selection of hot food (the latter being slightly less appetising).

The breakfast which is complimentary is good, plenty of choice from some hot eggs/sausages to fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and waffles.

Waffle maker, oatmeal, eggs, cereal, fruit, juices, breads, bagels, sausages, yogurt.

I almost hate giving it such a great review for fear of a huge price hike or not being able to get a room the next time we come,

There was plenty of room for the 4 of us and the hotel has such a great location, we walked everywhere!

The rooms were super clean, well stocked and the bed was very comfortable.

We were especially amazed by the excellent treatment by the staff in the dining room, in particular Carlos and Claudia, who took great care of us during breakfast each morning.

Rooms are very clean and spacious for NYC.

Helpful valets out front, quiet rooms (for NYC) and Housekeeping staff were kind, accommodating and spoke English.

The rooms were very clean and didn't feel cramped (as in many Manhattan hotels).

Well located for easy walking to most tourist sites, the hotel’s 1 bedroom corner room was spacious and felt like our own city apartment.

Great hotel, room was so confortable and the kitchen was perfect for our group of 3 people.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff and checked in quickly.

They even remembered us the following mornings and, when they saw us arrive, they put in that request for us with the kitchen staff before we could even ask.

Carlos was so kind and helpful and my son absolutely loved him.

When I offered this feedback to the front desk staff they were passive and disengaged.

They made our stay even better for their good attitude, charisma and service.

Their attention was kind, close, human and always willing to give me concern and solutions and ideas to my needs.

The hours are sufficient, and the selection is wonderful:  waffles, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, toast, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, omelets, cereal, hot coffee and tea, orange and apple juice, milk and fresh produce every day.

Fresh waffles, quiches, biscuits, you name it.

Excellent breakfast, kind staff, professionals, Awesome Food , hot and plenty, coffee and teas, bacon, veggie mix, pork and chicken Pattie’s, cheese, oat meal, oat milk, Cereals, juices, milk, hot made waffles,

The waffles are sooo tasty and the special spinach quiche was delicious.

We will miss Claudia who was even making waffles for the kids.

Some hot options like scrambled eggs and breakfast meat, make your own waffle, and then yogurt/cereal stuff.

The breakfast is HUGE- waffles, bagels, roasts, muffins, sausage, eggs, egg whites, tortillas, chicken carnitas, etc.

I love the waffle maker and the topping bar.

Eggs, pancakes, sausage, cereals, yogurt, waffles, a very nice selection which included, upon our request, toasted GLUTEN FREE bagels, bread, an even blueberry muffins.

My kids enjoyed making waffles every morning before our trek around this huge city.

- The location was perfect
- it was very convenient to have a true small kitchen, a self service laundry service in the hotel
- the room cleaning was good
- the kids loved the breakfast, its waffles.

There is free breakfast, warm breakfast, included in the room rate, so your kids can have fresh waffles in the morning, or one of the cereals to choose from.

Will definitely stay here again, nothing was a problem, only busy at breakfast times.

Breakfast was fine at the times I went-7.30 and 8.45 ish.

We had tickets to see Kelly and Mark in the morning and had to leave early and we couldn’t even get through the buffet line before that.

Ideally situated, hotel was clean, comfortable rooms with excellent views, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast buffet which is a great start to a long day - would highly recommend!!

The entire family really enjoyed our stay here with the free continental breakfast each morning (that had lots of variety) and the complimentary suite with food and beverages on the 26th floor for suite holders.

There was a huge variety of fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and toppings, different eggs, potatoes, meats, cheeses, cereals and juices, waffles.

Buffet style Breakfast was included and it was very good, pancakes, scrambled and boiled eggs, sausage bacon, fruit, sweet pastries, bagels, bread, cheese etc.

but that was the case at the Riu Plaza - and a jolly good breakfast buffet it was too, with hot food, cold meats/cheeses, plenty of fruit options, pastries and cereals.

This was a comfortable area with great views and was well stocked with wine, fruit, sandwiches, sodas, pastries and more.

Fruit juice and coffee machine .Ideal location fairly close to Times Square and Central park.

The fruit was always fresh & the croissant & bread selection varied.

Superb choice of  breakfast which included fruit, cooked things and  loved Fruit Loops 😋.

For breakfast there was a huge array of food from cereals to eggs , fresh fruit, waffles etc.

although I didn’t try much of it as I’m a cereal/fruit breakfast type person!

Buffet breakfast included and on 26th floor complimentary tea, coffee, wine, sandwiches, soft drinks water fresh fruit.

Breakfast was delicious, all you could eat with everything from cereals, pastries, cooked, fruit and continental meats.
