Xiao Ping was very nice during our visit.

Always has Xiao Ping come to my room every morning and do a detailed clean.

Over the course of my multi-day stay at this large hotel, I met other guests attending weddings, religious conferences, and sports tournaments.

Xiao Ping always kept the room very clean and was very nice during my stay.

Xiao Ping is the sweetest, and goes above and beyond to keep us happy and comfortable!

Xiao Ping was great and meet all our housekeeping needs.

Our housekeeper, Xiao Ping, was extremely kind and sweet.

I was pampered by Houskeeper - Xiao Ping she had an amazing smile and welcoming spirit.

The cleaning staff, especially Xiao Ping, was great and had such a positive attitude.

"Newly updated" seems to mean a USB hub next to the bed.

Xiao Ping took great care of my room during the stay.

The staff made us feel welcome and home every time we came in or out during the week we were in Brooklyn.Our housekeeper, Xiao Ping took great care of us and worked with our schedule to clean and refresh our room.

Xiao Ping and the cleaning staff were very attentive and kept the room very clean and tidy.

Staying in the Sheraton was probably one of the best housekeeping service ive ever experienced xiao ping always would keep my room perfect!front dest customer service top shelf.

Our housekeeper staff, Xiao Ping, was very helpful and accommodating.

Xiao Ping went above and beyond to make sure our room stayed ultra clean and even provided us extra towels upon request.

I especially want to call out Xiao Ping of Housekeeping Services, who provided excellent care of my room.

Daykwon huffed and puffed as we explained the situation, he did not listen and proceeded to treat us like we were just checking in and asked for my ID and credit card, then he disappeared from the front desk and emerged from an elevator before taking us to the room.

The key cards seem to randomly come demagnetized.

This would have been at least a 4-star review if the manager hadn't cancelled my confirmed Suite Night reservation at the last minute, and if the front desk had told me about the downgrade before I swiped into the standard room they gave me.

Everything about this stay was terrible: from the noisy nextdoor dog park to the preset 6am room alarm clock to the dirty towels to the front desk staff Talia who called my room at 3:45 IN THE MORNING for a credit card issue!!!!

To his great credit, the desk clerk who did check me in that first night was extremely apologetic and terrific at handling an angry crowd solo, and allowed me to cancel my remaining 2 nights without hesitation.

After a month of no answers, I have now lost over $300 from mysterious charges on my debit card by the Sheraton Brooklyn.

Hotel key cards work intermittently, which means they often did not work in the elevator and took several attempts for room access.

In the end, I paid the $20 (again, not able to charge to the room) and left.

Did not welcome me, just said "credit card" not even please.

Now for the rest: dusty room; filthy air vents; lumpy too soft bed; NO drawers to put away clothing - NOT ONE; elevators require key cards 24/7 and if there are several people entering at the same time there's a good chance you'll whizz by your floor before you get a chance to push your floor number; Starbucks in the lobby sells day-old baked goods; and the arrogant witch - let's her call Viv - who handled my check out was condescending, dishonest, rude, and left me with a deep and abiding dislike of her and the Sheraton.

Machines would not accept any of my cards.

Hotel promised us they wouldn't charge us for the night.

For this we were offered complimentary WIFI, and then was charged for it on one of the rooms. .

On the days where I left the tag, I received 7 out of 10 of the credits and no housekeeping.

On day of checkout, happened to be the next day the drink charge was on the bill that was emailed to me.

He would take a look at our room charges and "see what he could do" to compensate us for the mistakes.

The Banquet team needs a strong person in charge to ensure that everything is done and please handle the mildew in those two smaller rooms.

but we never smoked in the room, so they refunded the charge.

they charge you a deposit fee and you don't get it back ever if you keep calling for them about your deposit you will get 10 different reasons why you didn't receive your deposit.

but renovated hotel in the heart of downtown Brooklyn.

The Sheraton Brooklyn is located in Downtown Brooklyn.

Location for the hotel is terrific, right in Downtown Brooklyn.

Great location being right in the center of downtown Brooklyn.

Wonderful stay at Sheraton Downtown Brooklyn!

All of that being said, the staff at the Sheraton Downtown Brooklyn is consistently excellent, patient, and guest oriented.

I could easily stay here again if I am ever in downtown Brooklyn.

She gave us a great room with a wonderful view of downtown Brooklyn on a high floor!

It's location in downtown Brooklyn is ideal.The Subway is close by and the Brooklyn Bridge is only a short walk away.

This hotel, located in downtown Brooklyn, has very good acces for walking throgh Brooklyn Bridge and down town Brooklyn with no many people and convenient prices area.

Brand Sheraton Hotel right in the heart of downtown Brooklyn great location great Hotel I've attended a couple of business meetings here since they open 2 years ago as far as the amenities in the hotel I wouldn't know because I never stayed at this location  I do not know  they have  beautiful conference rooms and a nice restaurant as you walk into the lobby

This property is centrally located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn and minutes from the city.

The elevators are slow and only two of the four are working.

Lots of construction or something going on with the elevators during my stay and trouble getting my room keys to work.

The elevator key “to use it” system is turned off.

The property itself is very busy, you might have to wait for the elevators quite a bit.

But what it made worse was the fact that the security feature on the elevators that required a room key to get to guest floors wasn't functioning.

The elevators can be a bit slow and crowded, so requesting a lower floor might reduce your wait times a bit.

There was a day when there was a brief (2min) power outage that required FDNY to restart the elevators.

When it wasn't fine and remained stuck at 80 degrees, they moved me to a far worse room where I endured sleepless nights next to the loudest elevator I've ever heard.

Honestly it sounded haunted - as if a hoard of ghosts were flying down the elevator shaft.

Not sure if sound came from heaters, elevators (our room was sandwiched between elevator banks) or outside after-hour construction.

The elevators worked well when I was there except when there was some kind of fire panel issue that set off an alarm and shut down all the elevators temporarily.

but constant noise from elevators and generator or heating system.

The staff just watched as a I struggled to the elevator and again when I was leaving which I thought was odd for a hotel.

With our room right next to the elevator, it was loud and we heard it periodically through the night.

but special mention to Arber for the excellent wit and service in the bar at the Italian restaurant  - would definitely come back on my nx visit to NYC

Italian restaurant inside was nice for happy hour, very nice employees.

There is an italian restaurant onsite that does dine in and room service.

The hotel has a Starbucks in reception which is handy for breakfast or a coffee, as well as an Italian restaurant - we didn’t try it.

Good Italian restaurant in house, along with Starbucks and access to next door's hotel roof restaurant.

The on premises Italian restaurant was very good.

Avere Ristorante is an Italian restaurant located in the lobby of the hotel.

We ordered room service from the Italian restaurant downstairs, and it was delicious.

Everyone was nice and the Italian restaurant had good food.

The place has a pool on the 2nd floor, a really nice Italian restaurant, a rooftop bar and is right in the centre of Brooklyn, so what more could you want?

The Italian restaurant on the premises, on the ground floor was excellent.

Not too far from jfk, safe location, ok italian restaurant , starbucks in reception , had a car shuttle service which was great, rooms ok with complimentary water and coffee, for the price i have to say is a good choice , would definitely return.

The dinner dishes in the Italian restaurant were just like homemade from the old country. Delicious.

There was also a Starbucks and an Italian restaurant located just off of the lobby.

but it was an Italian restaurant and maybe the food was more reasonable and good for dinner.

We ended up staying a few days and were very happy with room quality, the rooftop lounge next door, the Starbucks in the lobby, and the fitness center and pool area.

A group of 17 of us stayed at the Sheraton Brooklyn and found it to be exceptional with Friendly desk attendants, clean rooms in a great, safe location-located in the downtown area with shopping and restaurants handy and a Starbucks right inside the lobby.

Starbucks was off the lobby which was very convenient.

though the room was small, the bed was so relaxing, fantastic view from our bedroom.

but the beds were really comfortable and we had great nights sleep despite being right on 5th Avenue.

but the bed is a great size, but it's cozy, and the bathroom is sublime.

The bed was really comfy, the shower excellent and right next door either side is a Starbucks and breakfast bar.

Room was a decent size for 2 twenty-something year old girls with a very comfy bed and small

The second time I stayed we were upgraded to a bigger bed which was very nice.

For $143 + tax for 2 adults, queen bed in NYC near Empire State Bldg it was totally fine-- not luxurious

but the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate.

well, in fact, I adjusted to the size of the room fine, and realised the most important things are a superb comfortable bed, excellent shower facilities with great set of toiletries and free Starbuck fresh coffee machine for the morning and daily energy.

We woke at 5am to the blasting music at Starbucks in the lobby.

Super conveniently located, friendly staff, felt safe, a Starbucks in the lobby.

Starbucks is in the lobby and the Empire State Building is right there.

There is a Starbucks right there next to the lobby and the W Cafe across the street is great too.

The location was perfect, making it easy to explore.

First, you can't get any better with the location.

Location is obviously amazing, staff were mostly friendly and the rooms were clean and, space and bathroom aside, comfortable.

Room allocated on arrival was tiny, no real space to unpack or hang clothes.

The location is excellent its less than a 15 minute walk to Time Square and the subway station is so close to the hotel also!!

But if you’re looking for a very nice hotel, perfectly located ( a street away from the empire state; 15min away from Times Square walking … ); with ( most important point to me ) an amazing personnel then chose this one for sure!!!

Frankly, given the price and location, I thought this hotel was a risky proposition.

The location was nice - literally across the street from the Empire State Building and a few blocks from Macy's flagship store.

The Hotel is located right beside a Starbucks on 5th Ave (Also considered the Hotel's lobby restroom, when opened for business).

Perfect midtown location to get to Byrant Park, MSG or Times Sq very easily.

Read all the comments, they're right:
noisy, tiny, dull, no insulation the air conditioning doesn't work, the King room is tiny, you won't be able to sleep and you won't be able to see anything.

though and it’s New York so traffic, sirens and what not are to be expected.

Quick reminder, do not forget you’re coming to an hotel on the fifth avenue so obviously you’ll have some city sounds ( police, firefighters, ambulance ) nothing too bad

I had no issues with the noise (I have a portable "sound machine" and I even had breakfast included.

The steet noise did come through the windows loudly,

Also, 5th Ave is noisy all hours so I was glad I brought earplugs.

however the shower had good power and the towels etc were of a good quality , there is quite a lot of traffic noise if you are on a lower floor , request a higher one if your a light sleeper .

Being near the back of the hotel on a high floor meant less noise than typical - a tradeoff I can live with anyway being right on 5th Ave.

Noise from street, even i was on 6th floor , there was still some noise ,

with window exiting to 5Th ave it might be loudy for some sleepers affected by jet lag.

It also has a loud hum, which could potentially be bothersome for some sleepers.

Rooms were small, very noisy, dark and smelt terrible.

The rooms were so small with no fridge, no big mirror in the bathroom, the hot water was brown (so we had to use cold water for showers), the toilet got clogged, the list goes on.

The room is too small and the bed is not a queen size as mentioned “too small”.

The rooms are slightly smaller than a shoebox,

In the morning, I left my belongings on the bed and when I returned in the afternoon, my suitcase and backpack had been moved to my new room.

However, reception guy was completely honest about this and moved us as soon as a better room became available (next day)
Despite the location being fantastic, noise from the traffic, horns, sirens, CVS Pharmacy Unloading Deliveries at 4am was quite disturbing throughout the night.

The only thing I could critique is there is no safe and wardrobe in the room

Second thing, there’s a 150$ deposit ( as it’s the case in many hotels ), just think about it in your budget ( you’ll have transferred back after your trip if nothing happened in the room ).

The room was clean and well kept, the only downside is that they don´t do any cleaning during the stay (probably due Covid) so there is no replacing the wet towels or replenishing soap,

but that type of room will only fit 2 people comfortably MAX!

Rooms are small.

The "closet" in our room was nothing more than a small alcove with one hanger in it (we did ask for and received more). Other than two small bedside night stands, there was no dresser (no room for one!)

They don’t tell you that there is no lounge or bar and the rooms are so small that I couldn’t open my suitcase in the room.

The room was small and the airconditioner took up far too much space.

but if you come from a region where a normal, hotel room is a tiny proposition, my guess is  that this will be OK for you.

It’s a 20- minute walk to cinemas around , time square and Central Park.

About a 10 minute walk from Times Square and multiple bars, events and venues.

The location of U Hotel is perfect for exploring New York, 10 mins walk to Pennsylvania Station for airport links.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. We were able to walk everywhere fairly quickly (Time square was maybe 15 min max!)

The pros: it's conveniently located to everything, the Empire State Bldg., many restaurants, Koreans, subways, the emblematic 42nd St. and Broadway, Macy's (a few blocks away, if you don't mind the walk), you name it.

although it is a long walk to Times Square and the theatre district.

The location is fantastic: just a minutes walk from the Empire State building, and an easy 10 minute walk to Times Square.

The location is excellent, over the road from Empire State Building, 10 minute walk to Times Square and same again to grand central.

If you do end up here, cross Fifth and walk north one block to 36th to have breakfast at Maison Kayser.

but very clean with decent shower, Starbucks in reception, plenty of bars within a short walk, would  recommend.

Highly recommend Top of the Strand for a rooftop bar which was less than a 5 minute walk away!

Its in a good location about a block from the metro  or a 10 min walk to time square.

I loved the simplicity and "no frills" low cost aspect of this hotel and the location was especially great with regard to Penn Station, Empire State Building and being able to walk down Fifth Avenue and look at all the decorated shop windows.

It is located right in the middle of everything in new york city, 10 minute walk to Time square, 5 minute walk to Flatiron building, 30 seconds to the empire state.

From JFK airport, I either walk from Penn Station (from about 8th Ave) or from the subway on 6th Ave.  One of my favorite activities is walking up 5th to Central Park (at 59th St), passing by the NY Public Library (42nd) and Top of the Rock (50th St).

As you will be spending all your day walking around in the city, this hotel is the most suitable location.
