My only qualm is it charges $39 per night for 'facilities fee' which include $10 daily allowance to get drinks/ snacks from the cupboard.

The only facility the hotel appears to offer is a small gym, to be charged a considerable sum for this is unwelcome.

but NOT on checkout day and the funds don’t roll over.

One thing to be aware of is the "facility fee" charge, which for our room rate of $311 was $39 (12.5%).

We needed to check out one day before our scheduled check out day and we were not charged the extra day.

I would then put it on the card and move on.

Even gave us his card and said if there were issues to call him.

again an example of too many staff, and no one taking charge.

Room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 3pm But reception staff were quick to oblige and told us that we wouldn’t have to wait long.There is a holding charge of $60 per night for any incidentals that may occur during your stay so make sure you have a credit card on you.

On their website there was something about a $10 daily credit for their 'store' so you could buy little snacks etc.

If they want to cut back housekeeping expenses, then at least offer that option to waive housekeeping services for a credit at check-in.

Front desk does not accept any cash, only credit cards.

however the $30 resort fee was steep for wifi, gym, and a $10/day credit for snacks.

If they got lost from us they just needed to show the card to know whew they were staying.

They almost charged for the entire stay until I told them I would dispute with my Amex.

Because they put me up at a sister property, 50NYC, at no charge.

as if that were not enough inconvenience they charged us additional fees that had not been previously reported when we made the reservation, an additional 25 dollars per day as extra fee for wi-fi facilities.

In addition, the hotel ran out of many the items in their lobby's fridge, which was annoying as $10 of the same daily fee that covers the wifi can be used on these items, and if you don't use that $10 credit it's just lost.

This is a great hotel for families visiting NYC because it’s in a great location- within walking distance of MOMA, Bloomingdale’s, Serendipity III, and in a nice quiet part of the city.

Stayed here for a family member’s surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering - Hotel staff was pleasant, room was clean and spacious with kitchen being a plus.

My family and I came solely because this hotel was very close to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital Cancer Center.

This was a great spot for our family of 5 with older children.

We'll definitely be back and will spread the good word amongst our friends and family.

We stayed in a two bed suite, which included a pull out bed and a full kitchenette.

The full kitchen came in handy for snacks and some meals.

Excellent facilities, very large rooms w kitchen and full size refrigerator, reclining chair ideal for postoperative recuperation.

We had the use of a little kitchen, (whilst not a full kitchen like at home, it served its' purpose and we never intended to cook a meal).

but I worked during the day in the room so it was worth paying up for more space, and the full kitchen cut down on food costs.

Full kitchen enabled us to eat breakfast in the room every day which saved a significant amount of money.

The rooms, converted from apartments and thus more spacious than at typical hotels, include well-equipped full kitchens that are indispensable for longer stays.

The suites have a full living area, full bath, two major closets and a full kitchen.

The suite I was upgraded to was so spacious - living room, dining room, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.

There was a full kitchen with pots and pans and a large fridge and a little counter to dine on.

The room was clean and well serviced; and as always the kitchen was a real benefit to our stay there.

Our room was very spacious with a generous seating area and very well-appointed kitchenette.

The Good: 
Rooms  are big and clean. Kitchenette.

Big suite room, included a small kitchen off hallway, plenty of cupboard space, very comfortable bed, plenty of room in bathroom for toiletries all very clean and well serviced daily.

The kitchen vent above the stove was quite dusty and the pillows were floppy.

A separate kitchen with gas stove, fridge and oven, ideal for cooking with all utensils and some pots provided

but we used a pot on the stove for boiling water for tea.

The room was quite spacious, and had a kitchenette - very handy for buying some snacks from the Morton Williams supermarket across the street from the subway access.

but still close enough to tourist attractions across the city and was looking for a 1-bedroom with two queen beds and kitchen.

Wonderful spirit, and upgraded us for the weekend to a one-bedroom suite with kitchen and living area with a fold-out sofa.

The space was very generous, with a well-furnished living/dining area, a very up-to-date kitchen, a well-outfitted bedroom with two double beds and a bath.

Kitchen worked well and had pans and glassware and plates.

We had a great six day stay - the room with kitchen was perfect and the staff friendly and helpful.

pros: location is close to the MSK cancer surgery center, a kitchen helped save money and was helpful for eating in, nice Morton Williams grocery one block away, front desk staff very helpful and cheerful 24/7 with complementary  morning coffee available and very clean.

There is a “full” kitchenette in every room with a large fridge, stove top, plates and a microwave.

Functional kitchen was a great amenity - and the huge outdoor patio of my king room was unbeatable private outside space for NYC!

Our rating is based on a great sized room, reasonable house keeping, and the location in close proximity to the subway, an amazing supermarket and good local restaurants.

Plenty of restaurants in the area as well as an easy way to order for delivery.

A great burger joint  Jackson-hall is across the street (as well as many other eateries) Morton Williams around the corner.

All in all a great place to stay in a part of Manhattan filled with restaurants and a short walk to Central Park.

Nice neighborhood, good restaurants and not far from the park.

There was black mold by the AC (see pic) and the shower drain control was literally falling apart and non-functional (in a closed position, so the tub flooded with every shower).

When I checked in the room smelled musty and possibly smoked in.

but if next to balconies of other building can mean smoke stink.

The location of the bathroom, however, is not great.

Dead trees in planters, cigarette burned cushions, plastic trash lying around and extremely dirty windows/glass doors.

The room was also filthy with old wrappers on the floor.

However, one of my pillows smelled like urine and we REALLY would have liked to have had a fan in the bathroom.

but no ventilation so cooking smells linger.

It is just the smell of the carpet in the corridor that needs attention and the WiFi is so weak, we gave up on it.

The pans weren't scratched and nasty like many places.

The sleeper sofa was dirty and smelly  with a very thin mattress, we could feel the springs.

It's only problem was that it had a strong smell of carpet cleaner that made it difficult for my friend  to sleep.

The hallways smelled like cigarettes on the room floors.

The carpet was stained, bathroom very dated, and some rather potent smells that permeated the hotel and room, including a mildew smell on the lamp shades that was quite noticeable and then just an old food odor that was trapped in the room.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and they remember you.

Upon arrival, the lobby staff was very pleasant.

The hotel staff are fabulous, as is the location, with access to subways to both the left and the right of the entrance, the city is equally accessible by foot and we enjoyed using Google maps to stroll around the area, tasting pizza slices, bagels,corn dogs, coffee etc on the way.

Although there isn’t a restaurant, they do supply a nice little breakfast in the morning consisting of bagels doughnuts, croissants etc.

The free breakfast is a selection of pastrys, donuts and bagels, and is ideal for taking the edge off hunger 1st thing before you head out as there are plenty of places to grab a bite in the immediate area to suit anyones budget.

however the range of items on offer is excellent and we were able each morning to enjoy fruit juice, toasted bagels, muffins and doughnuts!

They have milk, juice, tea, coffee, GREAT fresh pastries, bagels, cream cheese and jelly.

Breakfast was an amazing array of delicious fresh bagels and pastries, and coffee and tea are available all day.

This a great value hotel where a light breakfast facility is thrown in for you to grab a coffee and bagel and go.

The breakfast was superb, all fresh pastries, bagels, donuts, muffins, juices, fruit, coffee, and more (free ice machine on 7th floor as well) not the healthiest

information.We had a great week at Broadway Plaza to celebrate a few special birthdays.

We were worried about noise from the elevator or breakfast room,

but there are trays in the room to take your breakfast back to your room for a more private dining experience.

Breakfast room was tiny and despite saying continental breakfast it was basically cake.

The breakfast room does get very busy though

The breakfast room is not really set up for every guest sitting eating breakfast.

The issues we encountered were the the very small breakfast room (capacity of 12 guests) resulting in a line being formed for access to the room.

but it meant he could join us in our room for breakfast.

but we decided to stay where we were as we soon realised we were near the breakfast room and could easily get breakfast and take it back to our room on the tray.

The breakfast room is very small so it's best to take your room tray, fill it up and then eat in your room.

Only  rated as 4 as breakfast room was a bit small and bathrooms need refreshing.

You can also use the breakfast room throughout the day for your own meals, if you don't want to eat in your room.

the only negative was that the breakfast room too small.

It has very limited options and there is only room for about 10 people in the breakfast room and the room is really uninspiring, so you do not even want to sit there.
