When I insisted on being overcharged she without saying anything further hang up the phone and did not answer my call after.

Housekeeping staff were very good and we had the room cleaned with fresh towels daily. Checkout wasn't very efficient and I am currently in contact with the hotel in dispute of our bill (we were nearly charged twice for residence tax on checking out and believe we were also charged on checking in, so just be aware of hhis as the checkout staff commented that there was a "glitch in the system".)

It was also quite expensive when you add tips, the city taxes and the additional $45 per night charged by the hotel.

Elevator requires a key card to access your floor as most do in major cities now.

but are in different rooms on different floors their floor number should be put on your card as well so you are able to go see them.

I was promised no charge until clarified with Monika.

What they do is charge you $150 to bring it to a parking garage four blocks away.

Oh, and there are no less than 5 taxes and fees charged per day per room.

The full amount was deducted from our card before we even saw the room.

but we discovered afterwards that they had billed and charged two cards separately anyway, despite assuring us at the time.

Be prepared for the daily charges another tax is added to the city tax !!!

Housekeeping still made the pullout couch bed for us every day and no fee was charged.

We asked if it was charged at all hotels and a NYC law,

In the end I locked my credit card so they couldn’t charge me.

Receptionist’s first words were ‘ I need your credit card for your room’ Hardly a warm welcome.

but still, there was no way I should have been charged for that drink.

The breakfast was given in the form of credit of $25 per day which I utilized at a single time as I stayed for 2 days.

but the $25 credit we received when booking lessoned the blow a little.

Saying that, the location was perfect for our trip, super easy to get from place to place and never too noisy to keep us awake.

Its prime location made exploring New York’s famous attractions incredibly easy.

On arrival we were gifted with two drinks to visit the rooftop bar and wow what an experience, a modern stylistic bar with great ambiance and a laugher and chat to be heard from all over the rooftop.

The Knickerbocker Hotel in NYC is a perfect blend of timeless elegance and modern luxury.

The rooms are spacious, very modern, comfortable and clean with lovely bed linens.

Rooms were very modern, immaculately clean, bed was super comfortable and we loved the black out blind.

The staff were always helpful, rooms were modern and luxurious, housekeeping was spotless.

It was a pleasant surprise considering most hotels in New York are small and expensive for no reason.

He offered a price of nearly $200 per night or my reservation would be canceled, to which I agreed given I did not have anywhere else to go on the last minute.

All other places were almost double the price.

Price is on the high side for what you get,

I'm not sure that it's worth the money, there are probably places that are cheaper

The robes definitely need updating as there was rips in one of them and they weren't the softest of materials.

Avoid this place at all costs for the sake of your pockets and your NYC experience.

When we requested a restaurant recommendation, we were automatically given a top end one (dinner that evening cost me $200+ and I've had MUCH better for under $100 (I later learned the hotel is affiliated with a number of restaurants so they will only ever recommend them).

However, the lack of tea/coffee making  and (empty) mini bar facilities made the stay feel more 4 star with a 5 star price tag.

Now the rate is more than double for a decrepit and worn down hotel with poor service.

My only comment was the parking was odd and a bit expensive at 360 for 2 nights.

The buffet breakfast seemed overpriced even for nyc,

At $700 a night I wasn't going to settle for anything less than what I paid for.

I, personally, would have paid an extra 300-400 per night at another hotel if it meant I would get better overall service and what I asked for.

Parking is a little tricky- was given the address of an off-site parking garage, and because I used the QR code at the garage (which was prompted when pulling up to the garage), and because the hotel staff ran out of validation tickets, I ended up having to pay a lot for parking.

Our only "complaint" was that the cocktails were a tad pricey for our budget.

Friendly staff, very CLEAN, nice restaurant and a  rooftop!!

Fine dining at the hotel’s restaurant was a highlight, offering delicious cuisine and exceptional service.

Special kudos to Houcine and Gania, who took such good care of us at breakfast every day in the 4th floor restaurant.

near everything we went broadway, west village, nolita, met etc in two days, Great room service as well!

The wait staff in the restaurant were great.

I recently enjoyed some delicious cocktails on the 4th floor at the Knick again, and let me tell you, the service is always amazing!

As an aside, the in-house coffee shop has EXCELLENT pastries and the restaurant was fantastic.

The breakfast was great and the cafe was a convenient way to grab a quick coffee or tea before heading out the door for the day.

From Lucy at the front desk who was able to get one of the rooms that I particularly like, to Stephanie and Diana the concierges and the super helpful Gania in the restaurant.

We enjoyed the cafe in the morning for coffee and pastries.

The cafe had delicious breakfast and coffee.

Loved the beds, and room service.Also held a business event here once on the roof and it was spectacular

Rooms were large and clean and both restaurants were nice.

The rooftop bar was a real treat, boasting spectacular city views and a great selection of drinks.

Rooftop and 4th  floor bars/dining are a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Times Square.

We received 2 comp drinks for the roof top bar and an upgrade to a corner suite.

Lounges, both the rooftop and 4th floor, are always desirable.

but the roof top bar and location of the hotel more than make up for this.

We all really enjoyed the view and ambiance at the rooftop lounge.

Rooftop restaurant is lovely with a cool ambiance and kind and knowledgeable staff/mixologists.

The outside part of the rooftop bar was the most impressive, views were one of a kind.

When my daughter and my self-arrived at this hotel, our reserved room was not honored.

Our room was large, clean, and very comfortable.

Room was gorgeous and beautiful - we stayed in a double queen ADA suite.

The overall experience was good, the location at the corner of Times square is absolutely top with a subway entrance just out of the door.

The location is splendid; across the street is St Patrick's Cathedral and the window dressings of Saks Fifth Ave. [It's a short walk to Rockefeller Center or Central Park] But what sets the Lotte apart from other hotels is the staff; friendly , gracious and helpful, especially Rebecca Villasenor.

It’s about 10 blocks south of Central Park.

We walked to Bryant Park, Central Park, Grand Central, Times Square and Rockefeller Center as well as easy cabs and subway access throughout the city.

The location is also really good for shopping with Radio City, the Rockefeller Centre and Central Park close by.

This is a really nice hotel and close to all the big attractions in NYC a few minutes walk from Times Square,  Central Park and very close to the rockafella centre and FAO Schwarz.

The hotel itself is perfectly situated in midtown in close proximity to shopping, restaurants,  art galleries, businesses and Central Park.

The hotels location is perfect, its next to St Patricks Cathedral, walking distance to Times Square and Central Park.

The location of this hotel is perfect for shopping, great dining and simply for strolling along Madison and 5th Avenues as well as within close proximity to Central Park.

It’s a nine hotel in a very good location , very convenient for 5th avenue, Central Park, Times Square, Madison Avenue.

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue shopping and Central Park.

Diego, our stellar concierge, found us a beautiful dinner location overlooking Central Park which made it extra special.

The hotel is ideally located so close to Rockerfella Centre, 5th Avenue, Times Square, Central Park.

I travel for business and the central mid-town location is so convenient to Central Park, Time Square, and so many other places in Manhattan.

Walking location for theaters,Central Park,and restaurants.

It is an easy walk to Central Station, Times Square, Central Park, and Broadway, yet the area feels just a bit quieter, and we loved getting out early in the morning to wander outdoors around the Rockefeller complex before the crowds came in.

Special thanks to Isabella for helping us cater a superb picnic meal in Central Park, which our family will not soon forget, and to Clara for making us and I daresay all guests who visit the lobby feel special.

Pros
- rooms are very large and clean
- good location, walking distance to loads of sights (Rockerfeller, Central Park, Grand Central Station, Times Square, 5th Ave, etc)
- Maurice - ask for the secret Gossip Girl tour - not just our highlight of the hotel

Central to Broadway, Museums, Central Park and Shopping.

However, rather than having our bags in our room upon our return, we had to go through an additional check in process for keys and then take a blue card to the bellmen station.

I wouldn't be writing this if the Palace was billed as a 3* hotel.

Don't be fooled this hotel is not worth what they charge for it.

The rooms in the hotel no longer have a minibar, do not have a coffee maker or similar and the hotel charges for interntet (more than US$15 a day).

Bed linens were often messy and crumpled despite asking for linens to be changed by putting the card on the bed.

although isn't a huge amount we were frustrated this was something being charged when just about every shop / restaurant / hotel now days offer free Wi-Fi.

We had a very long day after missing a connection at JFK and had just been charged an exorbitant fee for the ride to the hotel.

No more basics (ie turn down service, change of towels etc) and went to the bar for a drink after the theatre. Definitely some companionship business transactions occurring at bar (yes you can assume!)

Unfortunately now they run an overpriced broke hotel, if you want something from the minibar a 35 dollar additional re stock charge.

but this is no longer a 5 star property and shouldn't be billed as such.

The only quirk was there are no charging ports for iphone.

To their credit they left two complimentary bottles of water in the room at all times.

Also WIFI was being charged at 15usd per day extra. 3.)

We booked a car to pick us up from the airport, quoted €326 and on check out charged us €407 with no explanation and a flippant response from concierge.

Another thing that we expect was a kettle in the room with coffee/tea making facilities,  When we queried this we were told to order from room service (at a charge).

The hotel is old, it’s in need of a makeover asap for the prices that they are charging, no space at the bar, we where told to find something of the venue, the room service was awful, there is no minibar in the room and if you find one double check it’s clean!the views are one of the best!

but there are better options with much better customer service if you are booking with Amex FHR.

Outlet on lamp (to charge phone) does not work (and no USB).

Wasn’t advised there was a charge for the internet use, 5 star hotel should give guests free internet and at 15.99$ a day that’s a rip off !

The room was larger than expected and roll away for our teen was comfortable.

What an amazing family experience we had at the Palace leading up to Thanksgiving (2 adults, 3 kids).

Very accommodating to us and even crowned my sons.

Melody and Norma went above and beyond to help me check in, told my kids about all the Christmas activities at the hotel and were exceptionally friendly and kind.

The staff was exceptional and they gave our two children each a stuffed teddy bear which was such a sweet touch.

Jimm is the reason I booked Lotte this year for my girls trip.

We had the absolute best experience for our girls weekend here!

He greets you with the warmest smile and quickly offered my daughter a teddy bear and struck up a conversation with her.

She was attentive and thoughtful and even gave me a teddy bear for my niece who would be visiting.

Maurice, in the lobby, gives the best Gossip Girl Tour and is so friendly.

Our last day Maurice gave me the best gossip girl tour and showed me all the spots they filmed here!

Staying for a long weekend with my daughter he couldn’t have been more accommodating to us and making us feel special!

My son and I loved "Rarities", a bar serving rare (but always expensive) libations that had the vibe of your English great uncle's country manor house.

He was so helpful with check out time, offered information about the various tours the hotel provides: Gossip Girl Tour, History Tour and a new one that will be affiliated with St Patrick's Cathedral  which sounds amazing.

Thank you so much to Maurice, Mo and Kal for the attention and for giving me the opportunity to have a gossip girl tour.

We have enjoyed their hotel many times and just had the best trip to the city for my son’s 13th birthday.

They lent us umbrellas so we could walk to Rockefeller center with the kids.

but we came along to visit during our stay to see this iconic Gossip Girl hotel.

The location was great and we loved the whole Gossip Girl connection - the staircase was beautiful.

My daughter and I loved it so much we didn’t want to leave.

but it highlighted the size of the room rather than its utility or design touches
•	The TV was so old it didn’t have Bluetooth and there was no other way to play music (not even a bedside alarm clock)
•	There was one USB socket in the entire room
•	The minibar had been removed and boarded shut
•	There was no turn-down service or bottled water
•	There were no in-room tea or coffee making facilities
•	The bathroom was a three-piece – i.e.

I am writing this from my room as the bar doesn't open until 5pm and the foyer is full (and hot as an oven).

However, for some reason every day they would remove the coffee cups and the sugar service, and we had to call down to get it replaced.
