I did not notice the construction noise complained of by many other reviewers.

We didn’t hear a sound from the street, construction, lobby or adjoining rooms.

Entered the room at 11pm and the loudest most disruptive construction persisted ALL night long.

bad experience - small cramped room - overwhelming noise from construction work - ended at 1 am and started back at 4:30 am.

Despite a few housekeeping issues and construction in the hallway outside our room commencing at 8 am, we had a great time.

Being told I got an upgrade to spend the whole night listening to construction noise did not feel great.

I was concerned with noise given the construction on Nassau street.

The construction on nassau street and the iron slabs on the road are killing the experience throughout the entire night.

There is a lot of construction going on, so if you’re on that side, you will have some external noise during the day.

The other issue has been written about here, which is the construction on Nassau Street, which starts at 6:30am and goes on until 10 at night.

There is a huge construction project across the street on one side of the building and be cause this is a historic hotel, there is no sound proofing.

Lastly, our room was right across the alley from a building undergoing construction and it began at 7 am.

super loud on the street, could hear construction all morning.

There is construction across the street which made it difficult to sleep.

Bar fights across the street at 2am incredibly loud construction from 6am until early evening and traffic noise at all hours.

We will ask for a room that does not face the construction across the street next time.

They walked us up the street to get a cab when construction blocked the street temporarily.

Verify that the surrounding construction has been completed before booking a stay at the Beekman.

Hotel is very chic and in a great condition.

but after multiple bad experiences with the restaurant servers, the concierge, the doorman and the complimentary hotel driver I feel it’s fitting.

The room was classy and the food was excellent.

Incredible restaurant, funky and very comfortable rooms, huge showers, friendly staff.

The furnishings are a mix of hip, quirky, modern, eclectic.

I will return for leisure because that area has a lot more to do now, close to some trendy restaurants and marketplaces especially for repeat NYC visitors for leisure or business.

Besides fantastic food and cocktails, every individual who work or represent the hotel is remarkably upbeat with exquisite manners.

Location & others: The hotel is located in lower Manhattan and I chose it because it's very convenient to get to the many places we wanted to visit in Brooklyn (Dumbo, Brooklyn Bridge, etc.).

The location was central to all that lower Manhattan has to offer.

Situated in the Fi Di in lower Manhattan, the subway is a 3 min walk away, The Beekman is easily accessible and a 40 min trip by cab from LGA.

Had a weekend stay here, great location, restaurant and bar conveniently downstairs, the beds were so comfy and the staff beyond amazing!

The bar and restaurant is a timeless, elegant room that is spectacular at the same time.

The atrium is stunning, and can be enjoyed from Temple Court bar and restaurant.

The bar from lunch onwards is slammed, book, book, book!

The hotel itself is clearly steeped in tradition, with a beautiful bar and restaurant area that gathers a buzzy crowd on a week night.

The food and cocktails in The Bar Room were excellent.

Whilst I did not use the bar and restaurant area  proved popular.

It was nice that the bar and restaurant are right there outside of the elevators if you want to grab a drink or a quick meal on your way out about town.

but the surroundings were under construction, so that affected the overall satisfaction, Staff was very pleasant and helpful and the bar / restaurant was really cool!

We used our F&B credit for dinner at the Bar Room, a more affordable and laid back version of Temple Court (we had previously made a reservation at Le Gratin,

Temple Court Bar area and the restaurant are on par with any top shelf eatery or bar in the area.

It gets very busy in the evening so book dining and bar tables ahead of arrival.

We got 3 rooms and 2 of them were ready before the designated check-in

We loved the location and the service -- including the beautiful room, and the proximity to the Brooklyn Bridge and downtown.

Bathroom and room were clean and had all the basic amenities.

Rooms were clean, staff was beyond professional.

The staff were very helpful when we requested to move rooms!

I love The Beekman; it is the epitome of old world style with gracious service.

Service was inconsistent - sometime outstanding, other times basic.

We were very pleased with the service and conditions of the hotel.

Service was exceptional, nothing a problem with numerous staff dotted around the hotel to support.

Lots of character, young and fresh staff, good service.

but the staff and service at the Beekman made it truly stand out.

Room small and basic with old pipes that take 30 mins to run hot in the morning and poor gym equipment.

I stayed at the Beekman - the rooms are very small and mine was broken into.

Small room, no real desk chair, no coffee maker in room, mosquitoes even on the eighth floor.

Rooms are small and run down and dingy, room service stops early, should be all night if you’re going to be in a 5 star.

Just note that even though I was upgraded, my room was still quite small (not surprising for a Manhattan hotel,

but the room was quite small and looked out to a bleak landscape of brick walls and unoccupied offices.

Rooms are on the small side as one would expect in NYC and the views are pretty poor since you're Downtown and the buildings are all close together.

Some practical tips:  The rooms can be a bit small, so look at the square feet on the website before you book and, if you want quiet, you might also ask for a room off the main atrium.

Only real flaw is rooms are tiny.

My room was tiny, which might have sufficed for me.

The facilities and staff are first class and treat you like a welcome guest.

The customer service was outstanding, particularly with the woman at the front desk who checked me in and out, and interacted with me via the text messaging on the app.

A destination unto itself with exceptional staff, luxurious accommodations and fantastic food and beverage options.

The hotel is gorgeous, bed was really comfortable, temperature easy to control, staff friendly and they made us feel extremely welcome.

every staff member is kind and professional.

Considering it’s a “luxury” hotel, they should hire professional and at the least kind staff.

From the doormen remembering us every time we left and entered (including remembering me from my prior stay last april), to the staff who bring chocolates twice a day, it felt very 'passenger princess' style to me.

Every staff member was extremely cordial and helpful.

Every single other person who works at the hotel is kind, gracious and overly helpful.

I appreciated how helpful and friendly all the staff were especially the door men and the concierge.

The staff is very helpful, always accomodate guests' request.

Reception and concierge were all friendly and accommodating.

150 usd per night hold on your credit card as well for incidentals.

I already paid for the room, why do you need to charge more?

Just a quick note that to be allowed to enter the Pool, there is a $75 extra charge on each person per day.

but it is loud on the weekends, mattress was not a mattress and charging hotel guests an additional $75 to use the pool and sun deck!

Also, after checking out, I was charged $70 for allegedly taking two bottles of shower gel, which I didn't even use, much less take.

Then I asked can you try and manually enter the credit card number which he said I guess and then tried and it and thru.

My only complaint is they charge an "experience fee" of ~$30 a day.

but at check in they didnt mention no going in and out, which means everytime u leave and come back there is a charge.

Unfortunately one of the only things under $10 is a small can of Pringles, so really all the $10 credit would do is probably to encourage you to spend more that $10.

When I tried to talk with someone in charge she was unimaginably rude and condescending and 100% unhelpful.

For whatever reason, despite getting ice earlier in the evening, later in the night when my friend called down for more, she was told there was a charge for ice.

Oh and the amentiy fee includes a $10 credit for the minibar each night, and the clerk "accidentally" didn't tell me when I asked what was included, until I specifically asked about a minibar credit.

First off, they put a $500 hold on your card for incidentals -

Yet, my card was charged for about $270 and my calls to "accounting" lead to voice mail and I don't know how to fix the situation.

Everyone we met during our stay was completely uninterested in us and our experience - as a matter of fact both staff members that checked us in/out were only interested in charging a credit card and talking to each other.

LASTLY they have charged me $50 UPGRADE fee to switch from a KING to a QUEEN— someone tell me how that makes sense.

This is why I would not consider staying there longer than two nights, because out of principle I will not have such a larger amount of money blocked from my card for 3-5 business days.

The problem is what they charge you with, and then don’t answer your email.

$10 minibar credit per day only items in the snack section are priced at either $7 or $9.

The managers at sixty LES claim, that they do not honor expedias prepaid reservations and retain the right to charge for a nightly room as they see fit. What?

I had a present for him, and  they set the present on the bed and decorated the room with tea light candles and set the champagne on the table.

King suite 400 roomy with nice view. Bad: Lobby is spartan in decor (water offered often empty and free coffee is bad.)

Despite the hipster vibe, the staff are warm and very eager to be of service.

The location is great and has a cool vibe.

The pool deck and bar is a great asset for a summer stay and is very cozy.

They also have a small lounge on the 7 floor that’s a nice chills atmosphere.

Everything from service to the cleanliness and aesthetically pleasing rooms were a plus.

Absolutely love the floor to ceiling windows and the modern vibe.

It’s convenient, trendy, and well-appointed.

Solid location, relatively clean and open rooms, modern feel (though starting to feel a bit “worn” in rooms), nice showers, nice views depending on the room, and very nice staff.

He and his partner loved the contemporary design and ambiance.

Big room for NYC standards plus great vibe, great views of LES, and great location in the heart of it all.

The rooms are very clean, chic and stylish.
