The rooms are large and have a beautiful view of the city.

We had a spacious King City View on our recent 9/12/21 - 9/14/21 stay.

I booked a City View King Sized room for my Wife's birthday on Friday 11-6-2020;  checked in before 4pm for one day as she wanted a hotel getaway from NYC with a nice panoramic view and close to the Harbor.

Fantastic views of the city and the ferry is conveniently situated close to the hotel.

Very comfortable room with a gorgeous view of the city.

Room was large and clean and had a view across to the city, club lounge

Here are the SIX things I did to get one…
- Booked early (several months in advance)
- Paid full-price for an executive suite with a City View
- Booked directly with the hotel as opposed to Booking
- Joined the Bonvoy program, which is supposed to offer perks
- Requested a high-up room by phone
- Requested a high-up room via the Bonvoy app

Despite all these precautions, reception tells me “You’re on the third floor”. Really?

My biggest frustration with this visit is that there was a lot it in accurate information we were given when we booked through Priceline
We specially Selected a Deluxe King Room with City View (my mother specifically wanted to stay here to enjoy the view) and if we were not early in for checking in, as persistent as we were, and didn’t come across a great employee it probably wouldn’t of happened.

It really is a good location with great city views, and probably one of the more affordable and convenient accommodations in that area.

It did have comfortable beds and a nice city view.

Overall, this is a decent place as you can get the best NYC city view including watching July 4th fireworks show and avoid the noise as it is across the river of Manhattan.

Room was spacious, with a great view of the city - the kind of setting that calls for breakfast in bed!

Overall everything was pretty good the views of the city skyline are like a picture postcard and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I got this reservation early and got a beautiful city view.

Staying in Weehawken is a nice break from the City and the views are magnificent.

Great Value compared to similar hotels on Manhattan and the City views across the river were awesome!

Also, charging for wifi in 2023 - really? !

Card keys werent working when we returned from lunch and we lost time going back to our room to prepare to checkout.

Charging for WiFi  is just greedy 

Suggestion….if you are planning to stay here, I would do it before they decide to put pay toilets in the bathrooms.

At the end we were charged an extra $200 approx for 'incidentals' which were not shown on the receipt/booking confirmation

Apparently the Sheraton charges $50 to your credit card at time of check in.

I was charged after telling me I had NO reservations under my name.

They had $4 water bottles in the room and charged $25 to park in an empty uncovered lot.

even though they'd always waived the parking charge in the past, I called to speak with a manager.

Even as a member of Marriot BonVoy club they would not put my points on my card because it was booked through Booking.com and not direct!

but I would prefer to stay at a hotel that does not charge its guests extra for absolutely everything.

They freely add whatever they like to your debit or credit card!

Here's what I noticed:

No usb charging near bed, just an old lamp with an old socket (two,) 

The refrigerator was a tiny college dorm style type and was on the floor for some reason and was unplugged and smelled king of bad. There was a stain on the couch which was red (I HOPE it was wine.)

There is a $25 charge for parking if you come by car.

but since you just checked me in and took my credit card info, maybe you can figure it out while you are getting me a room where I won't have  a roommate."

Arrived around 4:00 am and found out they charge for parking $25.00.

I think that they pay about $120 per room and it’s not even worth that so to pay the two or $300 that they charge individuals is a big mistake.

The breakfast was horrible for the amount being charged.

Our only major complaint is that, neither on check-in nor via announcement in our room, were we made aware of a Green program wherein you can choose to forego maid service on one or more days and receive, in exchange, credit on your bill.

Parking is available for $25 a day, a far cry from the excessive $60 a day and plus parking in NYC if you find a parking spot at all.The hotel charges for WI-FI, a very unpopular practice with the guests (Suggestion: zero   negotiate this charge before reserving the room).

My parents CC was charged for the room, because someone at the Front Desk demanded that they would not be given a room unless they supplied a credit card and ID.

We had a nice view of Lincoln Harbor and the ferry boats and could see lower Manhattan from an angle.

although it had a fine view of the lower Manhattan skyline, it is tucked in the corner behind a couple of other buildings and feels a bit isolated from the rest of the community.

I had a "partial view room" which had a fantastic view to lower Manhattan.

Very modern, nice amenities and fantastic view of lower Manhattan!

You are directly across from lower midtown and depending where your room is located you might also be able to see lower Manhattan.

Some rooms have fantastic views of the Hudson and Midtown and Lower Manhattan.

Once on the other side it was about a 20 minute walk to Times Square or you can catch a free connecting bus down to lower Manhattan.

We loved the "partial" view from our room - lower Manhattan!

Having stayed in a King room with a partial city view (of lower Manhattan) on the 7th floor, I will say the room was comfortable and spacious,

I suggest going south (right), which gives you nice views of lower manhattan the whole way.

Our room was a nice size and while we didn't specify a city view, we ended up having a view of One Trade Center and Lower Manhattan.

We had a big, clean room with a view of the lower Manhattan skyline.

And from the buses, you can just about walk to any location from mid-town to lower Manhattan.

It has its' own water ferry stop (Lincoln Harbor/Weehawken) and marvelous views of lower Manhattan.

If you have some time, check out Hoboken and then take the New Jersey light rail to Liberty State park, here you have great views of Lower Manhattan and can catch the ferry to Liberty and Ellis Island.

We had a view of lower Manhattan and the Hudson River.

The best part of New York is just being in the middle of the action on the streets, Time Square, Lower Manhattan, the food, shopping, night entertainment to suit everyone, different neighborhoods and constant diverse crowd.

though I couldn't see the Empire State Building, I had a nice view out over the old (and admittedly deteriorating)piers to Lower Manhattan.

Right outside is the ferry to take you into Manhattan.

What was unique was an outstanding view of Manhattan.

The view is simply wonderful with Manhattan skyline and the sun in a dramatic view.

For five of us to get the ferry over to Manhattan - well, let's just say we didn't get much change out of $100 (for one round trip)!!

All that aside it is in a good position with water taxis to Manhattan Mid town and down town from just out front and about 15 mins around the short walkway to the right.

The hotel is located right on the Hudson River with amazing views of Manhattan.

The bus took only about ten minutes through the Lincoln Tunnel so don't hesitate to stay here and "commute" to Manhattan!

This Sheraton has a lovely view of Lincoln Harbor and the Manhattan skyline.

Had we stayed in New York we would never have got the amazing views if Manhattan.

It’s super convenient to the ferry that drops you at 39th street, and the sunset views of the Manhattan skyline were brilliant.

Location is prime, the ferry right outside the hotel takes you to Manhattan in just 6mins for 18.50$ US round trip.

You also have a ferry that leaves every 15 minutes to Manhattan right outside the Hotel.

In terms of location, there is a ferry port right outside the hotel which takes you across the Hudson into Manhattan every 15/20 minutes.

The Sheraton is close to bus stops which facilitates excursions to Manhattan.

The beds are comfy and the hotel is next to ferry which only takes 6 mins to reach central Manhattan.

The attached restaurant was reasonable, just outside the front door of the Hotel there is a water taxi to Manhattan, on a good weather day the ride is pleasant and short.

One is the stellar views of the Manhattan skylight in all it's glory.

The view towards Manhattan is spectacular at night as the hotel’s location is perfect for that.

It had plenty of parking and there was a Ferry Service just outside the front doors for only $9 each way that would take you to Manhattan in only 6 minutes.

And at one half the price of a Manhattan hotel!

There was no fridge and we had to call reception to get enough towels and water for the three of us.

No explanation how the lamp, telephone, heating system or automatic airco works on a paper dear manager.

On every morning, we had to call the front desk and ask staff to walk into the restaurant to get our order placed, or go down to the facility ourselves to place our order.

In fact, the reservations line told me "We're busy -- can you call back later," and after sending an email to the hotel manager, they didn't even respect me enough to send a response.

For over 25 minutes I called the room service number on my cell and guest services from the room.

No matter how many times you call guest services from your room, the line is busy.

i will be calling HR about this because this is unprofessional and very poor hospitality from this hotel.

What about the danger she was putting me in by calling the cops on a Puerto Rican male?

Guy on the phone said he basically got it.

My husband emailed the front desk again to complain that it took 3 calls and 2 emails to correct the issue.

but I was told that they would call me back.

I informed the person behind the desk that no one notified me and that I’ve made the reservation over the phone while I was driving on my way there and he didn’t care so I ended up canceling one night.

but was told that there were no more King rooms with a view available, and they'd call if a room became available.

And I specifically made sure anything happens they should call me, so they just forgot 10min after? 2.

I was notified via email at 2am, followed by a phone call the following AM.

Front desk is not the friendliest from the first phone call today up to check in.

These did NOT work either, of course i am furious and call him back on the hotel phone by the elevators to explain: he abuptly hangs up the phone without saying what he’s going to do( a second display of poor manners).

⚫Carpets in bedroom filthy & rooms are generally not cleaned to a high standard

⚫USB ports in room by desk did not work (no power)
⚫Constant noise from construction right next door to this hotel
⚫Drinks vending machine broken on my floor, took my money

When I tried calling the hotel operator from the room phone or from the outside, the phone would just ring and ring — sometimes for what seemed like 50-75 rings or more — which is totally unacceptable especially in the event of an emergency.

There is easy ample parking right at the hotel and the NY Waterways ferry leaves from a dock adjacent to the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, plenty of parking.

We found this hotel relatively easy to get to, there was ample parking (the fee wasn't terrible considering how expensive the area around NYC is), and we were able to check in early.

when we called to ask about hotel amenities the staff was not friendly at all

The rooms were incredibly dirty, from the carpets to the mold in the bathroom.

- Hairs (long brown hairs) found on the bathroom floor.

No water pressure as others have mentioned.

Wimpy water pressure both in shower and for toilet.

The room was so dirty:

Many stains in the bathtub that I removed with hot water and soap (that makes me think the room isn't cleaned at all).

I had to constantly call the front desk for numerous things.. even a malfunctioning toilet.

The sink and tub had no drain plugs and there was hair in the tub and on the pillows.

but the bathroom needed a better wash (hair that wasn’t our was in the shower and on the floor).

Floor coming up, bathroom raggedy, this place is just bad.

Noticed corners not vacuumed and a spider came down from the ceiling when I was taking a shower.

The light was broken above our friends sink.

Points of improvement: The bathroom could have been better as it feels claustrophobic.

had a non-flushing toilet so Danica changed us to another one around the corner that ended up being full of pet hair (both beds were totally covered).

The toilet clogged, which I've never had to deal with in a hotel.

Only slight annoyance is the aircon is quite loud and this can wake light sleepers during the night, and the toilet sometimes needs two flushes

The toilet flush in the bathroom is weak.

There are no bathrooms in the reception area.

The toilet paper was also left as is by the last guest, which makes me wonder if the toilet seat was disinfected.

Manager Bill and Diane in the front office have always assisted me in all needs.

Bill and Diane - The property managers - were terrific!

Red Roof is very fortunate having Bill as their Manager.

I can only say positive things about the staff members at this hotel, Bill the GM, was so accommodating and even took time out of his day to explain the best way to get into the city and some great places to go once we were there!

Kudos to GM Bill Ashenfelder for running a great property.

Lots of parking spaces,  The manager (Bill) was very friendly and helpful.

The room was a typical room - ours had 2 beds

The location is great to get to and from MetLife Stadium as well as to mid-town Manhattan.

An express bus is a available nearby to take you to Manhattan.

Ample bus and tractor parking, large laundry room and minutes from Manhattan.

The bus stop for bus 129 (which takes you to Manhattan) is kind of far, about 12-15 min walk.

There is a bus stop down the road where you can take a bus straight to the port authority bus terminal in Manhattan.

The bus stop is around the corner and the last bus from Manhattan is at 11h40 pm.

- This property has elevators
- Plenty of parking
- Check-out staff, Marsha, provided smooth check out.

This hotel has plenty of parking even for buses and tractor trailers.

There is plenty of parking even for trucks.

I did a lot of research to find a decent hotel with ample parking and this delivered.

The room was disgusting with gum smashed in the carpet!

If you want filth and depression check in asap.

Inside the rooms are worse, as you walk in the smell of smoke and pee slams you in the face.

but I never noticed, smelled nor heard any animals.

The fish smells from the head and goes down to the tail.

It was disgusting and most everyone we were with ended up with asthma symptoms.

A few of hiccups in my stay
1-Sink broke twice
2- Is not Smoke free.

Two outlets had obvious burn marks on them.

The bed was very comfy and despite reviews talking about cigarette smoke, we did not encounter this issue.

If you have allergies and are asthmatic like me,  request a room that is non smoking and is not for pets.

Im not sure how you would police or try to minimise the use of it in across red roof inn, seacaucus meadowlands..bit like smoking really

ROOM 250 - has a terrible damp stench, more prominent in morning and late at night.

but the baseboards were quite filthy, and there was a lot of dust buil up behind the nightstand, where I had to reach to plug in my phone.

..stinky room with a filthy looking carpet.

Filthy, Disgusting, full of crawling bugs coming up from the drain in the bath, through and in the walls, as well as all over the floor and carpet.

but it was positioned awkwardly to one side of the bed!The room smelled bad and musty.One of the walls is bulging most likely due to water leaking into it from somewhere!The bathrooms do not look anything like the pictures.

In just 20 minutes, we were in Times Square and my boyfriend was amazed!

Take the 129x in the morning before 10am to get to Times Square in about 35 minutes, for only $3.50.

We quickly dropped our stuff and ran to catch the bus to NYC; within 25 minutes we were in Times Square heading to see the tree and the ice skaters.

It was a quick drive into the Times Square area from this location as well.

You won't be able to just go to Times Square when you feel like it,

The bus takes you directly to the Port Authority, which is a couple of blocks south of Times Square and the theater district.

The Port Authority is at 8th Ave and 40th St in NYC - convenient to Times Square. Buy the R/T fare ($7.00 for an adult, etc.)

Two blocks away we were able to take the NJTransit bus (#129 coach type) that took us to NYC - Times Square in  about 30-40 minutes for only $3.50.

It is a brief walk to the bus station which will take you quickly into Times Square NYC.

walking distance there is a bus stop , you can reach to Time Square  at 3,5 usd within 15 minutes.

Bus will take you to Times Square for $ 3.20, right outside your door.

It takes you right to the Port Authority at Times Square.

The bus station in NY is just 10 walk from Times Square.

Within 20 minutes your in Times Square, via port authorities central bus station on 42nd street.

This hotel also is located conveniently on the bus line and in 20 minutes you're in Times Square!

Ucan get a bus from right outside that takes u to ver near Times square,but if someone wants
to do a late night out than u cant get the bus back, as the last bus leaves by 11 at night.

It takes you directly to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Times Square.

Positives: Clean room, good bed and pillows, well lit room, updated as pictured, helpful staff (when available), cleaning crew very nice and helpful, close to bus stop that takes you to New York City (Times Square) in 20 - 45 min.

Couldn't beat the location..bus to NYC picks you up about half a block down from the hotel for $3.20 per person (bus # 129) and takes you to NYC Port Authority where you can either walk outside to Times Square, or hop on the subway or another bus and go anywhere you need to.

Very easy transport links to the Port Authority Bus Terminus (nr Times Square) with frequent service to New York on the bus and the return buses stop right outside the hotel!
