Got our Air conditioning up and running in no time and even loaned us her personal umbrella!

The very loud climate control had two settings: freezing or boiling.

Our room was just okay, we found it to be a bit noisy and we could not get the heater to turn off.

The heater turning on woke me up over and over, despite wearing ear plugs.

Very low light in rooms, AC not working, no side sofas or other seating chairs other than the beds, strange & unusual hospital like smell in the rooms, Elevator malfunctioned and would take forever to come down, Slow wi-fi, no shower curtain in one of the rooms, No microwave, rooms not cleaned properly ((a cut watermelon was found in the side closet).

- We should ask to change after one night because some of the lights did not work and there was a big noise of external ventilation all the time
- breakfast room is in the basement with bad smells
- this hotel DOES NOT KEEP THE LUGGAGE

Additionally in the morning the water in the shower was not so warm, so we were freezing a bit afterwards,

The aircon was very noisy, and would sporadically turn on and blast cold air loudly during the night.

Time to sleep, the air con was SOO loud and noisy that we couldn’t sleep.

The worst thing was the noise from air conditioning in the night.

The air conditioning was noisy as was the traffic (we were at the front on the second floor).

but at one point our air conditioner froze and quit cooling.

We are big fans of modern, spare design, so our disappointments with this stay are NOT because of a lack of "frou frou" in the room.

it was like the noise was traveling through the wall vent.

There were no dresser drawers, not enough outlets to charge devices, no room service, the bath towels were small & rough & the air circulation unit was VERY noisy.

however being November it was freezing so didn't hang about long.

Could have done with heaters up there during the winter months.

Got switched to a better room that actually had a closet; trade off being that the air conditioner froze up if set below 72.

he location is in Hell's Kitchen and is a short walk to Times Square and the Theater District.

We didn't realize that we were staying in Hell's Kitchen,

Located in Midtown West, almost in Hell's Kitchen, it's an easy cab ride down to the Financial District, and a quick walk to Midtown, the Theater District, Central Park, UWS, etc.

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel which is actually in Hell's Kitchen, and not Times Square.

The location is great in the famous neighborhood of NY called hell's kitchen, only 10 minutes from Times Square and other tourist sites, with the subway is 500 meters and the Highline is also very close.

The hotel was at a great location, just minutes away from Times Square and in the heart of Hell's Kitchen so there was a variety of food offered.

Staff was very friendly

The Location - As others stated, its in Hell's Kitchen which is a sketchy area with no metro stations close and no place to eat that I would feel comfortable going to.

Overall, spending the money was worth it for the area and I would 100% recommend this hotel for a Hell's Kitchen stay.

We stayed four nights in this hip, wonderful hotel in Hell's Kitchen.

Hell's Kitchen is full of nice restaurants.

It's located in a great location at Hell's Kitchen, really nice sun deck, continental breakfast and great service - I fully recommend this hotel to all families travelling to NYC!

Hell's Kitchen is a very nice neighbourhood with lots of dining options close to the hotel.

The location is really good, close to Times Square, Hell's Kitchen, Centra Park.

Staying here will put you within walking distance of Times Square, The High Line, the trendy Hell's Kitchen area and Penn Station.

We loved this hotel it's in the district known as Hell's Kitchen and has an abundance of fantastic restaurants on its door step.

It's perfect especially if you like Hell's Kitchen as I do.

but you can bring your own drinks or picnic and there is lots of comfortable seating, and a hot tub at times.

we went to the roof patio to enjoy the view (nice) - as other have mentioned, the hot tub is out of service.

We were enjoying the amazing view and had tasty cocktails in the hot tub situated at the rooftop terrace.

The hot tub was not working Location was great - 5 mins to 42nd street bus station and subway.

Having read reports on Trip Advsor about how nice it was to relax in the hot tub on the roof garden we were particularly looking forward to that.

The view on the rooftop terrace was pretty, was able to get a nice hot tub picture :))

The hotel has a rooftop area with a hot tub and a nice view of the area.

The gym was adequate for our needs and the rooftop hot tub was a definite highlight.

The kids loved the roof terrace and hot tub (it was a shame we didn't really get enough time to make the most of it), and the view at night was fantastic.

There is a hot tub on the top floor and it's just stunning with amazing views.Felix on the door was an absolute pleasure to deal with everyday x always so helpful and nice, I will look forward to returning to the hotel in the future!

Facilities: nice continental breakfast every morning, great hot tub on the roof and happy hour every day 4-5 free wine and champagne and cheese crackers.

The rooftop deck with hot tub is spectacular!

Also the roof top terrace was brilliant and we made use of the hot tub, and the views are great especially at night.

The location is fantastic, minutes from Time Square, a lively block of streets (7th, 8th and 9th), the High Line and Hudson Yards.

Rooftop access and view of the Hudson Yards is fantastic, especially at night.

The location is across the st from the bus station and not in the nice part of Hudson Yards.

Good location for theater, hudson yards, millions of great  places to eat nearby so don't waste time having breakfast at the hotel.

Also near the new SHED Cultural center ant the Hudson Yards which is very interesting to visit.

Located within walking distance to Madison Square Garden and Times Square.

We, me and my team, came here for business at the Javits Center and we stayed here because of the location.

Its central position made it easy to navigate and access various attractions.

The Truss is in a terrific location that allows you to walk everywhere.

The Truss Hotel in Times Square was a great location because you are close to a lot of attractions and great food.

Location is excellent and is walking distance to many of the big tourist spots.

There is also a first floor outdoor seating area, to sit out and enjoy you're breakfast.

The roof top deck is amazing, it has a huge jacuzzi overlooking the city to the east and the river to the west and comfy outdoor sofas around the deck.

Roof top terrace is a must see and there is a lovely outdoor space on the 2nd floor too.

They had a cool outdoor rooftop deck that was a bonus way of enjoying NYC.

The outdoor lounge is pretty large in area

Quiet, cool rooftop hang, rooms were clean, staff was SUPER helpful and friendly.

Like most hotel rooms in the city, the rooms are small.

arrogant staff, small room, noisy, dirty. .

The rooms are small, maintanance is not updated.

The rooms were small, there was a suspicious stain on the floor when I exited the elevator on my floor that remained undressed throughout my stay, and the "happy hour" was.

In the name of boutique, this hotel has old, worn out, very small rooms.

But the room we had was tiny, with the smallest double bed I have seen in a US hotel and there was nowhere to put things away so we had to live out of suitcases - there was one small hanging space which would take a few jackets or shirts - nothing longer -

We had to ask for a refund on a night because there was a condom under the mattress. Gross!!!

I noticed a couple of other comments stating a smell in the hotel, I can say we did smell weed on one occasion and we did see a couple of odd looking characters, That you would not associate with a 4* hotel stay, in the lobby.

and the hotel smells like steal beer and drugs.

The smell from the breakfast is equally bad.

Basic dirty grey rugs and fluorescent lighting in the halls and the stairwells and hallways smelled badly.

Someone elses razor residue (stubble) on shelf in shower.

The smell of fried fish while having breakfast is not everyones favourite 😉

The carpets in the corridors and lifts were filthy, strewn with bits of rubbish.

Negatives: the first room we were assigned smelled like fresh paint so we had to move.

There was a faint smell of fresh paint and when I asked the manager explained to me that they are constantly fixing and repainting rooms to keep the hotel presentable.

- we left the Do Not Disturb sign up for our last day as the maid clearly had no intention of paying attention to the cleanliness of our room - just disgusting.

Dirty walls and the hallway carpet is downright filthy!

The room was dirty, smelled like cigarettes, wall was dirty , the shower was not working well.

David and Jessi always greeted us well and ensured that we were okay and that we had everything to our comfort.

She treated my group and I with the utmost kindness and respect.

If it wasn’t clear Jessy was an awesome front desk lady!

Great staff especially Jessy!🤩

You can arrive to Times Square in 5 minutes by feet.

Jessy was very helpful during our stay at Truss hotel in new youl city.

One last thing is the staff is super friendly!

Jessy, the receptionist, will make your stay that much better.

Joe and Jess at the front desk in the front lobby were amazing with us.

Jessy was very helpful in check in and check out.

She was very  helpful and made the my first stay in New York more welcoming.

Jessy was extremely helpful with helping us feel comfortable during our stay and with helping us store our bags.

I had an amazing stay at the Standard for my 30th birthday.

I came here for my birthday and my check in alone made my whole experience worth it at the standard.

Thank you to Mandy for her efforts to make this birthday gift an extra special.

Wife birthday they up grade the room when we got there early check in view from room was fantastic.

She also sent a complimentary Rose to my room for my birthday !

Truly enjoyed every moment of the stay here and it was the perfect selection for a birthday!

Great location in Meatpacking District close to the High Line and Whitney Museum.

Excellent service, early check in  and late check out, no fee for pet, and perfectly located in Meatpacking District for anything you may need not to mention amazing views with floor to ceiling windows from just about any room.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the meatpacking district, with easy access to the Hudson River Parkway and tons of good food around.

If you’re ever in the meatpacking district make sure you stay there & meet him.

We stopped at The Biergarten for a pre dinner drink, had a wonderful meal in the Grill and then sipped a cocktail in their outdoor space whilst watching people enjoy bumper car rides!!!

They have great outdoor area where you can enjoy snacks and cocktails.

Loved the outdoor patio for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening.

Great location as well with beautiful restaurants and outdoor eating.

But there are plenty of welcomed Covid adaptations around property, including a cozy outdoor screening room and the beer garden, which is open and well ventilated.

The group had a ton of fun, the service was excellent, and the outdoor set up was perfect for any covid-conscious crowd.

I had  made the reservation and requested an outdoor table and upon arrival we were seated right away to a lovely table al fresco.

We had a great evening celebrating our anniversary as part of their "Pix on the Plaza" outdoor movie + dinner :) Great burgers, and amazing warm cookies!
