Rooftop bar was chill and relaxing with free cheese board.

There is a cute rooftop bar on the 14th floor that from 2pm on serves drinks and if you order 2 drinks, a free nice cheese plater.

There is a wonderful roof top seating area and a free cheese board when you order two drinks!

Aside from the room, we enjoyed the 24HR lounge (clean, cozy, and well-stocked) and the rooftop bar (Bookmarks), where the drinks are good (highly recommend Gone with the Gin) and hotel guests get a complimentary cheese plate.

On our first evening, we had a cheese board/drinks in the roof top bar (ask about the in-house guest cheese board special) and then we wandered down to Times Square. Wonderful!

Stayed in the Love Room with private balcony where we enjoyed our morning coffees and also wine from lounge with complimentary cheese board.

The bar told us it was a complimentary cheese board for hotel guests with a purchase of 2 drinks.

Complimentry wine and cheese from the rooftop bar was impossible.

They no longer offer wine and cheese in the library which we had enjoyed in the past.

The rooftop is absolutely gorgeous and you can enjoy a drink inside or outside (they gave us a certificate for a complimentary cheese plate with the purchase of one of the rooftop lounge's library themed drinks).

We loved the out of the ordinary amenities that were offered, including nightly wine and cheese.

Super comfortable beds and complimentary wine and cheese and continental breakfast.

The cheese and wine evenings are brilliant too, Great way to start your evening!

The Library's location is superb, an easy walk to Grand Central Terminal, Park Avenue, Fifth Avenue, and most major attractions in Midtown.

Its location is perfect for touring Manhattan, and you can get to Brooklyn via a 30-minute subway ride from the Bryant Park station, which is only a few blocks away.

The NY Public Library (obviously) and Bryant Park are a stone's throw away.

After going round in circles with much searching for the ideal room/location/cost combination we finally landed on booking a Junior Suite at the Library Hotel.

My friend booked us here for six nights and I loved the hotel.

This is a lovey property at great location, very cozy with many books to read.

There are so many reasons:

* books everywhere!

The hotel is themed around books and libraries, also the hotel rooms (ours contained books on Asian religions).

The room we reserved was the "Love" room which has a balcony on Madison Ave.

We were on “social sciences” floor and “money” room (so all books and decor in the room was money related.

Nicely decorated with books for the theme of your room.

The design conceit is fun:  every room has a selection of books, a different theme of books to every room.

We booked the Library Hotel in NYC for a book club trip.

even though we had pre booked with a credit card they took another swipe.

The rooms are themed with books from a particular section of the Dewey decimal system and the lounge provides a perfect place for a snack, coffee, and respite before the day's work, between meetings, and at the end of the day.

Library themed throughout there are books that you can borrow everywhere you look - in your room, in the complimentary all-day breakfast/snack lounge (there's a baby grand piano there you can play too!

Details like cushions and Wi-Fi passwords have a book theme.

Getting the gift stack of books was a great extra - the selections were quirky and perfect!

There is a concierge floor open to all guests and a roof top bar and lounge,  I will definitely stay there, again.

Apart from the convenient location, we liked the reading room and rooftop bar most.

Their inhouse restaurant Madison and Vine and 14th floor rooftop bar were great.

The rooms are small with little space for lots of luggage and the bathroom was small

The worst part of our stay was having to purchase bug spray because our 3rd floor tiny  room ( with windows closed ) was a haven for mosquitoes.

It was the perfect place to have a cup of tea and relax between outings, and made up for the small room.

The staff were very welcoming, the Queen room was small

The room was small and definetely needed renovations.

I had an amazing stay at the Standard for my 30th birthday.

I came here for my birthday and my check in alone made my whole experience worth it at the standard.

Thank you to Mandy for her efforts to make this birthday gift an extra special.

Wife birthday they up grade the room when we got there early check in view from room was fantastic.

She also sent a complimentary Rose to my room for my birthday !

Great location in Meatpacking District close to the High Line and Whitney Museum.

Excellent service, early check in  and late check out, no fee for pet, and perfectly located in Meatpacking District for anything you may need not to mention amazing views with floor to ceiling windows from just about any room.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the meatpacking district, with easy access to the Hudson River Parkway and tons of good food around.

If you’re ever in the meatpacking district make sure you stay there & meet him.

Location is ideal, in Meatpacking district with Chelsea and West Village nearby, loads of food options blocks away, and is right by High Line Park and across Little Island (my new favorite park).

The location is also great if you're interested in taking a walk along the river or through the Meatpacking District, Chelsea, or West Village.

You will pay the same price in other hotels of manhattan and get a very poor experience, rude staff and a tiny room.

For the price of this hotel, I expected someone to slightly care since it was a matter of my health (something I do not have control over).

There are no slippers in the room (I just stayed at two comparable level hotels, in Boston and Amsterdam, that cost less

The room itself is dated and small, nothing special, especially for the prices you are asked to pay.

Rooms small and a bit pricey; had a nice view of the Hudson River and Little Island.

This hotel costs way too much money for this to be how business is conducted.

The room felt DIRTY and the whole experience was upstaged by the RIDICULOUS FEES.

The hotel does not offer much for the price.

I would never have booked this hotel at the rate they ended up charging me and I found it to be poor customer service that this was not mentioned when I made the change.

But considering an omelette alone cost $16 we ended up spending over $30 of our own money anyway with tip.

However, the designers were too busy being cool, and didn't pay attention to basics of the hotel business.

The subsequently offered to refund my resort fee of $30 and send up ear plugs as compensation.

If I paid a small amount, I wouldn't have minded these things.

I also thought with the price I paid, that I would have a higher room?

Not sure why they even have a mini bar in the rooms since it is ripe for a rip off.

The stay ended up costing us over $150 in additional fees and taxes that we were not planning on.

Cons:  Gym is really limited on equipment and kind of aged/cluttered, the shower/tub have full window facing the room so if you need privacy that would be a concern, Toilet paper and facial tissues really scratchy and cheap

Extras:  a glass of orange juice in the restaurant is $8 to give an idea of pricing, breakfast for 1 person was about $50 for omelet/oatmeal/juice.

The reason I would not stay here again is the $30 per night "facility fee" that is undisclosed when booking and gives access to exactly what you already have access to.

The final bill showed I had to pay $469, $120 more than I was quoted.

We finally had to track someone down to pay for our drinks & we left to find somewhere else to eat.

At night, if the window is open it is NOISY

Than the negatives which are quite a lot: they put us in a sub-par room (516), smaller than all other rooms in its class, with noisy water pipes making noises.

My friends who paid less than I ddi for the same type of room got a better room with snack and with a shower in addition to the bed while I used Hotel Engine and stil managed to pay more for the same room type and got no snacks.

Friday night we could hear the nightclub on the 18th floor.

though we were down on the 4th floor this club's music from somewhere 18th floor or higher was very loud and blasted until 3 AM.

There is a club at the rooftop and the music goes loud until late hours, being possible to hear loudly from the room.

Noise is disturbing every night and day (if there are children or loud people around)!

though it was right by the elevators, I was barely bothered by the noise or any neighboring sounds—impressive!

The noise during the night is only one of the aspects.

On the down side, walls are noticeably thin and you will hear your neighbors and anyone in the hallway.

but it doesn't quite make up for the fact that the rooms are worn out (we had a maintenance man come to our room twice to fix things), they are noisy (not just the street noise but the pipes in the rooms!

You can also hear the plumbing singing next door at random times.

cant make them dark enough and you hear everything, from the noise and music on the street to the water pipes of the next room to the conversation on the isle.

but the noise the toilet/pipes did when flushing the toilet was beyond reason, it would wake us up during the night.

When someone in another room was using the water, you could hear it in the room.

Only complaint would be with the great local nightlife comes a bit of noise from outside on the river side that doesn’t die down till 11-12.

Around 11:30 we started to hear incredibly loud music, loud enough that our bed was vibrating.

We were originally on floor 15 (3 floors below it) and could hear it clearly even with earplugs and white noise.

We spoke to a couple of other guests in passing, one being on the 5th floor and they could still hear it.

We will definitely make our reservations for next year!

we booked a last minute stay on the app and they upgraded the room by the time we got to the hotel.

I had added on a bottle of champagne when I booked.

The staff were amazing, especially Madeline who helped with group reservations and was always ready to answer questions, and Gabriel at the front desk who patiently helped us track down some items from the previous night.

They were engaging and set us up with a 14th floor room (Superior King booked).

Truly appreciate the hospitality, would book again in a heartbeat.

They were particularly helpful when our flight was cancelled - we checked in very late and were well looked after by the team, especially Seth.

Deja, the friendly front desk representative, went above and beyond by assisting us in booking a table at a restaurant.

Best of all was David at the Reservation desk- he checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed, so considerate and helpful.

I booked a room here for my girlfriends birthday so we could have a nice night out in the city.

I booked a very spontaneous solo night out at The Standard last week and had plans to decompress while soaking in a tub and staring out at a beautiful city view.

Starting from the beginning, the booking process was smooth and straightforward.

The staff and service was superior from booking to checkout.

Shopped at the many designer stores near the hotel and had a blast at The Standard Grill's Bingo Night - make sure you book early for that!

For me, the quality of service can make or break a travel experience and the entire staff @ The Standard Highline was top notch!

From the front dest and wonderful Stasia, to the red bar on the ground floor and pleasant  staff to the fascinating corner room overlooking rainy Manhattan we had unforgettable experience!

though we only stayed one night, our experience was good enough to make it one of our best ever hotel stays.

I always enjoy my stay at the standard highline and I am consistently impressed by the hospitality.

The location is splendid; across the street is St Patrick's Cathedral and the window dressings of Saks Fifth Ave. [It's a short walk to Rockefeller Center or Central Park] But what sets the Lotte apart from other hotels is the staff; friendly , gracious and helpful, especially Rebecca Villasenor.

It’s about 10 blocks south of Central Park.

We walked to Bryant Park, Central Park, Grand Central, Times Square and Rockefeller Center as well as easy cabs and subway access throughout the city.

The location is also really good for shopping with Radio City, the Rockefeller Centre and Central Park close by.

This is a really nice hotel and close to all the big attractions in NYC a few minutes walk from Times Square,  Central Park and very close to the rockafella centre and FAO Schwarz.

The hotel itself is perfectly situated in midtown in close proximity to shopping, restaurants,  art galleries, businesses and Central Park.
