but it was absolutely revolting, there was mould all over the walls, the bedding was stained, there was hair everywhere in the bathroom - I would also like to point out that I am not a huge hotel snob - I can accept that things do get missed during cleaning / sometimes things are not perfect, but this was just insane.

Bathroom was like a sauna and room was cold, could’ve been more down to us being clueless with the controls.

The sheets were clean , the bathroom was old and tiny .

Presented a huge problem for me and I had to book another hotel under pressure, elevated rates, etc.

Not sure if there is a loo for the disabled?

Well it seems that 185sq/ft includes the pokey bathroom, the small corridor with barely enough room for the double bed.

I found a layer of dust over the shelf under the washbasin which included the tissue box and spare toilet roll!

The rooms are very tired and lacked storage and mirrors.

I tolerated the uncomfortable bed and bathroom issues

The shower situation in our room was unsafe. The (broken??)

The bath room is tiny - to sit on the toilet your knees are virtually around your ears.

Next day, aside from the normal flood around the shower, another one appeared by the toilet, it wasn’t man miss either, it was the shower.

This room was okay, until I got in the shower and the plaster at the top of the shower was coming away from the wall and the water was leaking from the bath and the shower.

The iron board was dirty and what looked still poo was rubbed on the bathroom wall!

When I got to my room I found a massive amount of hair on the drain to the shower.

Our room was small not very cleaned and the bathroom was the worst part .

It took a long time to get the lift up to our room.

The hotel is housing over 200 migrant familes who appear to have taken over the front lobby area, the area around the lifts stunk of urine and were being used as play areas for the children of the adults who where lounging around the lobby entrance.

The elevators are small and a funky system.

The hotel is dark and the elevator is something else !!

Wait times for elevators were rediculous.

Dark and dingy corridors we were unable to find our room as so dark unable to see door number then realised it was the one right at the side of the lifts!

As I was waiting for the elevator which always took long and a strange way of dealing with I decided to go look for her, I was not done.

You can only use 1 specific lift to your floor - so long wait for the lift.

When busy the elevators are an experience; elbows out for the queue busters!

So myself and my partner went to complain to a manager and the only rooms they had were by a lift or a twin room.

There was some noise from the elevators and the construction,

We never had to wait more than a few minutes for an elevator.

The elevator system is strange, you have to select on a panel which floor you want and are directed to a certain lift; there are 8 lifts(elevators).

Elevators are slow, old and incredibly small.

You’ll read loads of other comments about the lifts which were a nightmare, and one evening the lift we went in smelled really strongly of urine, where someone had obviously relieved themselves in there!

The elevator system is old and very very very bad.

Stayed here for my mothers 60th, location is ideal, good value for money, overall excellent hotel.

The location of the hotel is ideal and since we didn't spend much time in our room, this made up for the downfalls.

The hotel has an amazing location which as only one block away from “Six” the musical we saw.

Once we got to the place, we were welcomed, everything was quick, rooms are good, location is awesome.

Don’t be fooled by the convenient location.

Times Square isn't the location it once was, it's full of crackheads and crime, stay in Brooklyn in an Airbnb, it's half the price and you can really get somewhere lovely & well kept, I wish I went with this over the central location in the first place as ROW isn't cheap.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location because it is walking distance to everything we want to see and do at Time Square.

We most recently stayed 8 nights in May, 2022 to see lots of shows-perfect location.

The location was perfect, especially if you’re seeing any shows on broadway.

The location on 8th Avenue is noisey with car horns and sirens a constant.

No help from the hotel, no discount and no choice of another room.

We booked a room for early November with a no cancellation policy.

The room itself wasn't very clean unfortunately and was rather run down.

I spoke with someone every time I called, and they assured me that my room was secured due to the deposit!

Things did not improve as we made our way to our rooms, each of our 3 rooms was grubby and unclean, so much so we decided not to take our cloths out of our suitcases, we lived out of the cases for the duration of our stay.

We went back to reception (after trying to ring on the filthy phone that was broken), where we were checked into a second room.

Upon arrival at 11 pm, we were told our room had been cancelled three months prior “due to maintenance upgrades.” No one ever alerted us!

Canceled our reservation .We were on our way to the hotel we received  a brief  email that the room was not available  because overbooked.

I can only assume The Row cancelled my reservation since they needed rooms with 2 beds for the migrants they will be housing.

Yesterday I received an email from Row stating they were reserving a room at another hotel for me.

Booked a room for 4 nights at Row NYC and when i got there i was told they overbooked half their hotel rooms and i was being sent to a different hotel entirely.

Do not book your stay here if you want to be certain you have a room.

Had an on-going battle with temperature extremes in the room with the air-con/heating.

I actually ended up scrubbing light fixtures and the bathtub with my own antibac wipes so if your in room 2639 it might be a little less grubby for a week or two, the bathtub is mouldy and the sheets and towels don't get changed, even when you fold them on the floor!

Room is very basic, just beds to sleep in, no mini fridge, no microwave.

ROW is conveniently located in the theatre district and close to time square.

We were there to see a lot of theater and this hotel was right smack in the middle of the theater district.

An old hotel with a great location near Times Square and the Theatre District, and that is what you are paying for.

Row NYC is a great location within a couple of minutes your in Time Square and very close for the Broadway,friendly staff and great for breakfast hotel also has a kitchen which has about 6/7 different food stalls

The hotel is located perfectly near Times Square, overall good service, the room could have been cleaner, and we would have liked to be able to have our luggage stay longer after check-out, because we had a late flight.

When I insisted on being overcharged she without saying anything further hang up the phone and did not answer my call after.

Housekeeping staff were very good and we had the room cleaned with fresh towels daily. Checkout wasn't very efficient and I am currently in contact with the hotel in dispute of our bill (we were nearly charged twice for residence tax on checking out and believe we were also charged on checking in, so just be aware of hhis as the checkout staff commented that there was a "glitch in the system".)

It was also quite expensive when you add tips, the city taxes and the additional $45 per night charged by the hotel.

Elevator requires a key card to access your floor as most do in major cities now.

but are in different rooms on different floors their floor number should be put on your card as well so you are able to go see them.

I was promised no charge until clarified with Monika.

What they do is charge you $150 to bring it to a parking garage four blocks away.

Oh, and there are no less than 5 taxes and fees charged per day per room.

The full amount was deducted from our card before we even saw the room.

but we discovered afterwards that they had billed and charged two cards separately anyway, despite assuring us at the time.

Be prepared for the daily charges another tax is added to the city tax !!!

Housekeeping still made the pullout couch bed for us every day and no fee was charged.

We asked if it was charged at all hotels and a NYC law,

In the end I locked my credit card so they couldn’t charge me.

Receptionist’s first words were ‘ I need your credit card for your room’ Hardly a warm welcome.

but still, there was no way I should have been charged for that drink.

The breakfast was given in the form of credit of $25 per day which I utilized at a single time as I stayed for 2 days.

but the $25 credit we received when booking lessoned the blow a little.

Saying that, the location was perfect for our trip, super easy to get from place to place and never too noisy to keep us awake.

Its prime location made exploring New York’s famous attractions incredibly easy.

On arrival we were gifted with two drinks to visit the rooftop bar and wow what an experience, a modern stylistic bar with great ambiance and a laugher and chat to be heard from all over the rooftop.

The Knickerbocker Hotel in NYC is a perfect blend of timeless elegance and modern luxury.

The rooms are spacious, very modern, comfortable and clean with lovely bed linens.

Rooms were very modern, immaculately clean, bed was super comfortable and we loved the black out blind.

Beautiful, modern hotel with lots of amenities.

The staff were always helpful, rooms were modern and luxurious, housekeeping was spotless.

It was a pleasant surprise considering most hotels in New York are small and expensive for no reason.

He offered a price of nearly $200 per night or my reservation would be canceled, to which I agreed given I did not have anywhere else to go on the last minute.

All other places were almost double the price.

Price is on the high side for what you get,

The robes definitely need updating as there was rips in one of them and they weren't the softest of materials.

Avoid this place at all costs for the sake of your pockets and your NYC experience.

When we requested a restaurant recommendation, we were automatically given a top end one (dinner that evening cost me $200+ and I've had MUCH better for under $100 (I later learned the hotel is affiliated with a number of restaurants so they will only ever recommend them).

However, the lack of tea/coffee making  and (empty) mini bar facilities made the stay feel more 4 star with a 5 star price tag.

Now the rate is more than double for a decrepit and worn down hotel with poor service.

My only comment was the parking was odd and a bit expensive at 360 for 2 nights.

The buffet breakfast seemed overpriced even for nyc,

At $700 a night I wasn't going to settle for anything less than what I paid for.

I, personally, would have paid an extra 300-400 per night at another hotel if it meant I would get better overall service and what I asked for.

Parking is a little tricky- was given the address of an off-site parking garage, and because I used the QR code at the garage (which was prompted when pulling up to the garage), and because the hotel staff ran out of validation tickets, I ended up having to pay a lot for parking.

Our only "complaint" was that the cocktails were a tad pricey for our budget.

The rooftop bar was a real treat, boasting spectacular city views and a great selection of drinks.

We received 2 comp drinks for the roof top bar and an upgrade to a corner suite.

but the roof top bar and location of the hotel more than make up for this.

The outside part of the rooftop bar was the most impressive, views were one of a kind.

The rooftop bar at St Clouds was amazing and so beautiful to chill out and have a cocktail or 3 and the American Breakfasts were delicious and kicked off the day.

Fabulous rooftop bar that overlooks the ball that drops on New Year's Eve.

Would definitely recommend, just drink at a different rooftop bar.

We really enjoyed starting our day at the breakfast buffet  and ending it with a drink at the roof top bar.

The hotel rooftop bar was exceptional, food was great and we had a view of the Times Square ball that is dropped on New Year's Eve.

would stay there again, roof top bar is just great, if you go early, you will have a good chnace to sit outside.

The room provided a serene, stylish retreat with stunning views of Times Square.
