The room itself was a decent size for New York,

The staff is kind and accomodating, not always the case in New York.

We enjoyed our stay at this friendly Hotel in July whilst on a whistle stop trip to New York before Sailing back to the UK.

Our room was quiet, no issue sleeping with the normal New York noise outside.

All in all I have no hesitation in recommending this fine hotel which I shall return to if I'm ever in the New York area again.

Free parking is very important for New York staying, only 5 min away from MTA stations.

This hotel is modern and clean and the rooms are spacious for New York.

We had a fantastic view of the New York City skyline and statue of Liberty.

And free New York Times in the lobby -- plenty of copies -- every single day.

when ever I'm in new york this is my go too hotel you really get a bang for your buck the rooms are very clean spacious and modern they also have free parking on the site so you don't have to go looking for park the staff are very welcoming and always provided speedy service if your looking for a 5 star experience at a 2 star price this hotel is the one

The room was very clean and had a nice view of the New York City skyline.

I found the price reasonable for New York City hotels.

We enjoyed a pleasant overnight stay and woke up to the New York Marathon out front!

but it's noteworthy that it is 4 blocks from the R subway (which I used to get there) AND it has about a dozen parking spaces for guests, a rarity anywhere in New York (which I did not use).

They have free parking which is not common in New York hotels.

you even get free parking, which is hard to come by anywhere in New York.

I will always stay here when visiting New York.

The mattress was also extremely soft and sinking in the middle.

However, the room was spacious, clean, comfortable and the mattresses wonderful.

The room was clean and comfortable with good beds and bedding.

We had a super comfortable king bed, a roman shower (how cool) and ample k-cups & cream to enjoy our morning coffees.

The bed was comfy, room temperature was good.

Our room was tastefully decorated, and the beds very comfortable.

Our room was spacious, and very well appointed with comfortable beds.

Staff is so friendly and accommodating, room (King) was immaculate and very well-appointed.

The rooms have been newly renovated and look absolutely amazing. I was extremely satisfied with the: Decor, quite and calm aura, spacious room, comfortable bed, and bathroom (especially the shower which was my favorite.)

Coffee and snacks in lobby, very clean and comfortable bed, and very quiet facility.

The rooms are fabulous, big comfy beds, tea and coffee machine, big TV, super bathroom with fabulous hot showers, dressing gowns, slippers etc.

When I spoke to the manager, he was rude and ignorant and was not accommodating the situation.

Anyway, on our next visit to Brooklyn, we'll be paying extra for parking in a different hotel because I feel that management is only interested in hosting parties in this place.

Called down to the front desk several times and the young girl had no idea what to do other than to text her manager and ask him to turn down the music.

The management tolerated all night partying, loud music and shouting from the balconies.

I asked to be comped the night and was told I’d have to speak to the manager the next day.

I was immediately contacted by a manager after submitting the review and told I would be offered a “discounted rate next time because of the inconvenience" experienced.

It is a shame that such a nice hotel and staff are ruined by a very poor and lousy management!

The manager personally called my brother and followed up with an email to discuss his room since his favorite was not available due to renovations.

At check out the next day, we asked for contact info for the manager.

The reception staff were at times plain rude and this was reported to management who did apologise afterwards

Management is awful and cares less about their customers.

And was placed on, no joke, a 43 minute hold while the "manager" talked to mini bar stocker.

We spoke with the general manager who helped us reserve two rooms and on the same floor which I assumed must have been hard considering it was last minute

When I had not heard anything by early morning I called for the manager, who returned my call within minutes.

We asked her to please notify management of the incident,

I have asked for a response for 3 weeks and have heard nothing from management.

However when we checked in we overheard a conversation between a customer and the manager that seemed to indicate that she was charged a different price than what she was quoted.

Imagine my surprise when I found out it was the general manager herself.

), and signs warning customers that there was no partying allowed.

Over the past 3 years they have worked VERY hard at keeping noisy patrons with drugs, weed & loud parties out of the hotel.

Kept up all night by loud music and a party.

However, over the months, we noticed increasing loud music and partying throughout the night.

All these party guests had to walk right past her to get up to the six floor and she allowed it

but it is loud and the fan fluctuates all night.

My upstairs neighbors were having sex so loud it was truly ridiculous.

When on our first night we were disturbed by loud music coming from another room, I called the front desk.

The walls are paper thin and the fist night there appeared to be a party in the room across the hall from me and people going up and down the stairs all night (the stair door was right next to me).

At first the heater in our room was very, very loud,

It was my understanding that this is a bit of a  trick that they play on unsuspecting guests.

That being said - unless you completely turn the lights off in the stall and use the facilities in the dark, your entire party can see your entire silhouette as you sit or stand in front of the toilet.

But as we found out in the middle of the night, up for an hour with loud music and crashing going on next door, it is indeed a party hotel at times.

Our last visit was marred somewhat by loud noise coming from a couple rooms on our floor (#4).

My two-day weekend stay was colored by very loud (party loud) people in the adjoining room.

When the next door neighbor came they were loud 
and it sounded like they were in our room.

The drunks next door were kinda loud (we could hear every word they spoke),

The door to the balcony didn't open. There was no in-room minibar whatsoever- I had to call down for whatever I wanted, which is fine, except I was told that there was no more alcohol (ANY alcohol) because "they had just gone through the last of it the previous night."

-	Every day we had to call, ask for towels and then go downstairs to the front desk and get them.

No ice machines on floor (you have to call, wait, and tip).

The phone was ringing and it seemed like she was on here own so I kind  of get it,

- *I ring front desk* “My breakfast order is wrong.

I was the second to complain and by the time of my call they had already sent someone to deal with it.

but my shower had a prominent mold ring all the way around where the grout should be.

but I was told they could fix that with a simple phone call, so if you have this issue don't hesitate to complain!

I asked to confirm an early arrival for 1pm because of the Sabbath starting at 3:30pm and instead of accommodating, the manager (who would not return a phone call) said to charge full price for the night before.

It was a woman in next room talking moderately loudly on her cell phone- not shouting.

but everything was for 2, we had to call for additional things.

(One of the desk staff said she planned to create a user guide because they get so many calls from guests unable to figure it out.)

90 minutes later, reservations missed, Wife calls, gets profuse apologies for not getting a call as the boiler is repaired.

While a couple of calls to the front desk improved the noise, it was there all weekend, and I gave up and endured it after the calls.

It didn't last long so I didn't have to call the front desk. like.

but she seems to be "on the Phone" every time I try to call.

An email that I wrote to the general manager for information a few days before our arrival went unanswered, and, once we had arrived, most of our comings and goings went unacknowledged by the front desk.

They offer a swimming pool and they DONT have one.

but food just okish,the pools fantastic and room views amazing,I would definitely come back

but found YMCA on 5th Ave and they could not have been nicer with all amenities like a pool and steam.

Within the local area there are lots of bars and restaurants/diners, try the fifth avenue diner, they even deliver to your room at 5 in the morning, Reis's Bar and Loki are two decent bars really close by if you fancy a cool pint of Brooklyn Beer and a game of pool.

My husband and I took one look at the room, walked out and stayed at the nearby Ace Hotel where we had a magnificent, clean, and calming experience for the same price point.

It was comfortable, clean, in a safe location, and with friendly staff. The rooms are large, modern (with multiple charging ports and great bedside lights!)

The rooms were much bigger than I thought and beautifully decorated.

Overflow from a family gathering created the need for a few more rooms and this was perfect.

We had the top category of room and it was spacious.

They have a fully un-stocked mini bar in the room.

The hotel rooms are very beautiful and love the theme BLUE would definitely recommend this hotel thanks .

I have stayed in many hotels, and I have never been in a hotel that reeked of pot, from the lobby all the way to my room.

We stayed there recently…room was very clean…but an overwhelming small of weed the entire time we were there that permeated our room.

Checked out early and booked a nice room at the downtown Marriott.

The room reeks like an ashtray to a point that I can’t sleep.

Our room was cleaned very well prior to our stay, and because of the extent of our stay, we simply did an exchange of towels outside of our room, as well as garbage drop off.

I'll start with the good: the staff was lovely and professional and the location was excellent for being accessible to places in Park Slope.

The staff was so nice and accommodating too

 Will absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Brooklyn

Hotel accommodations were good and the staff were helpful, especially Keon.

Clean, modern, trendy, quiet and convenient with a wonderful responsive staff.

The vanity lighting was exceptionally good for makeup.

Really pleased with the customer service thanks to the young lady at the front desk Norsang.

The place was extremely clean, the entire staff (desk & cleaning) were great, the cost was unbelievably affordable and the location perfect.

There was a small fridge which was helpful.

Kind of quirky, balconies and free parking!

But it was one of the better experiences I’ve had at a hotel in New York City.

The hotel itself was very 'New York' the lobby is cosy and cool.

This is my third stay at Nolitan

New York is very busy, fast-paced, and stressful when you just want to sightsee.

The lobby is beautifully designed, with a great selection of books where you could sit for hours and watch New York street-life pass you by.

The Nolita Hotel is a diamon in the middle of New York.

I am always iffy with hotels in New York,

I do have to say the rooms are very nicely equipped with slippers, bath robes, an umbrella for rainy New York days.

In New York your choice is to stay near Times Square and experience tourist hell, or to experience real New York.

Service was excellent, the room was lovely, the food was great and the location was absolutely perfect for our 4-day break in New York.

We came to New York for New Years and this hotel was adorable!

Easy access to the subway so you can get to any attraction in New York quickly and easily.

The Nolitan is a little haven of relaxation and comfort with a New York twist.

We were looking for a hotel that gave us the feeling of living in New York.

The manager and staff are friendly and incredibly accommodating, the location is perfect for downtown exploring and shopping, the rooms have a cool New York vibe and the clientele are diverse and interesting.

The room was actually a bit bigger than I was expecting as I had heard that New York hotel rooms can be notoriously small

Clean enough, I have never found the cleaning that great in any hotel in New York.

I believe it was Sheldon who set my mind at ease telling me I was in New York and that I could make whatever entrance I wanted and it was OK. Sheldon, Dorina and the entire staff made me and my guests feel like royalty from start to finish.

This truly is a beautifully quaint hotel in a city that can seem cold and impersonal.

Unfortunately, it was very cold while we were there,

its noisy and inneffective and you have the choice of a cold hotel room or having a cheap noisy fan blowing lukewarm air into the room.

but unfortunately you have no choice when the room is so cold.

AC is either full blast or off - so room temperature constantly veered from hot to cold

Stayed here in mid march during NYs cold snap.

Another thing is that while the temperature is comfortable in the rooms, the hallways and elevators are freezing cold in winter.

Beware cold weather too if you don't like noise as the heaters make a real racket.

The peephole was blocked from the outside and I was unable to see out the door. 3.

The configuration of the room is also weird that if someone is opening the room door you can see someone taking a shower and the shower curtain isn’t on that side that would cover them.

There was also a couple trying to have sex in the hallway, literally directly outside my door.

For example, the water closet (toilet) is located by the front door

I suggest installing a sliding door to block off this area.

toilet behind one door, sink and shower in a different spot.

The Nolitan is within blocks of all the hot spots, Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo, shopping, restaurants, and it seems all the train lines in the city are within blocks of the front door.

Really didn't see the point of the window from the room into the shower or the lack of a door,

but as the coffee shop next door served quite possibly the finest coffee that I've ever had this was not really a problem!

The restaurant next door is under construction,

but upon looking at the evacuation map on my door, this turned out to be untrue.

First, they rescued us from being left "homeless" by an AirBnB host who wouldn't address a door that threatened to lock us out if we left the apartment.

The hotel is build on modern concepts (has no door to the shower-good for couples, a bit dodgy for families)

The bathtub, which I would say takes up too much valuable space and is rarely used, forced the water closet to be located next to the front door and as far away as possible from the only sink.

The only thing I could say is the full length mirror is directly outside the bathroom door which meant knocking on the door before coming out when one of us was getting ready.

You can order breakfast from the restaurant downstairs on a card that you hang on your door any time between 5am.

Few problems though: aircon is very poor, lifts broke down (twice), corner rooms (which I paid extra for) don't have operable windows or doors, and it's pretty noisy, particularly on low-mid level floors.

Our arrival was in the middle of a huge party upstairs which filled the foyer and we had to queue for 2mins to get inside the front door - not the best of welcomes.

Just walking in the door made you feel more hip.

but for some noisy neighbours who came banging on doors really late at night.

The hotel is located close to lots of good restaurants

She had chosen based on location, which was great.

Very nice boutique hotel in a great location.

I let him know that I did not have any friends coming to visit me and no one knows where I am located as I never told anyone where I was staying and I was travelling from out of town. 5.

The good:

-The hotel has an absolutely perfect location near a murderers' row of great restaurants at a remarkably reasonable price.

It’s a great location with plenty of restaurants, subway stations and shops nearby.

The hotel is in such a prime location with soo many options on what to do.

All of that said, the beds were nice, the location is great, and the rooms are styled well.

Corner suite, great bathroom, great location and service was fine.

We look forward to our next stay under the leadership of the great staff and location.

She gave us all that we needed to know about the hotel and even suggested eating at the restaurant located in the hotel called The Usual.

The location was perfect, i adore Soho and it is so close to everything and easy to catch the subway.

Great location near Soho, Little Italy and Chinatown.

- The location is fantastic, my favourite in the city - so close to so many of my favourite places (check out Charley Street, Black Seed Bagels and Eggshop, all literal steps away!).

Would 100% recommend this hotel for its clean rooms and the perfect location in the city and near the nightlife and sub stations.

Great restaurants in neighborhood   And close to subway.

The hotel is centrally placed to everything that we wanted to visit: Brooklyn bridge, china town, and some local restaurants and bars (even a late night pizza spot on the corner for a quick bite after going out).

We walked around and stopped at a few bars for some cocktails in the evening.

but you save quite a few $s compared to nearby eateries.

Give the breakfast a miss there are lots of great local places to eat.

We ate there for lunch and it was delicious.

The Usual restaurant connected to the hotel was very good as well.

Management is very helpful and accommodating with directions and room service.

We were able to leave our bags at reception while we ate and had drinks, very fine.

Upon arriving at night, we decided to eat dinner at the restaurant in the lobby.

The Usual (restaurant) is also connected to the hotel.

The hotel is in walking distance to little Italy and Chinatown, cafes, restaurants and cool shopping!!
