On the lower floor in the morning there are pastries and coffee, and some computers nearby.

Coffee ans pastries for mighty breakfast are really appreciated.

In the morning they offer coffee and pastries downstairs, and they offer free car rides within a one mile radius which we used a couple of times to get to the subway.

The hotel also offers coffee and some pastries on the lower level for anyone who wants to skip making a coffee in the room.

The room was cleaned daily by fabulous cleaning staff, the complimentary coffee & pastries in a morning were amazing just to take to you room whilst you got ready for the day ahead and planned your trips out!

There are two sparkling clean restrooms in the lobby and really good coffee and pastries on the lower level, so if we didn't want to spring for full breakfast, we still got something good to start the day.

Great location with a free shuttle to the nearby subway stations safe neighborhood with a lot of little convenience stores around for your needs.

BUT you can take advantage of the free shuttle service that brings you or picks you up anywhere within 2 km from the hotel: for us this was a great service and drivers are extremely friendly!

As others have written, the free shuttle service (and by shuttle, we’re talking beautiful black Mercedes SUV) was a huge bonus.

Looking for an affordable hotel in Brooklyn that provides superior customer service, an updated environment with wonderful original artwork and easy access to the subway?

First and foremost working in hospitality I always appreciate great service , friendly and accompanying staff and at Henry Norman that’s just what you’ll find!

He went above and beyond, the perfect example of customer service oriented.

A wonderful, charming room and lobby, great service at front desk, very comfortable bed and linens, great bathroom and a nice space to work and hangout in the room too!

but the location and customer service made it worthwhile.

Appreciated the warm welcome and friendly service.

The service is excellent - kudos to Nigel, Tainh and Cecilia and all of the staff - professional and so accommodating - especially as we were visiting during the various "surges" of the pandemic.

I am so happy with my choice this spot was more spacious then most rooms in NY and the customer service I received at check in an check out from TAINA was too tier.

Susie and Lissy in guest services were beyond helpful.

We took advantage of the service and found the drivers to be very accommodating and kind.

And, this shuttle service is provided in a Mercedes SUV – wow!

Oh, and in the morning, come to the lobby.

Upon returning to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing, there was always fresh water available in the lobby – lime, orange infused.

❌❌❌ As I worked in a comfy nook off the lobby, I watched several families checkout.

Every little detail at the HN is thought through: The fresh flowers dotted around the hotel; the delicious pastries and locally roasted coffee in the morning (worth getting up for and our daughter loved practicing walking in the little dining space in the lower lobby); all of the eclectic and interesting art and decor choices in the rooms; the apples and pears in the lobby that are actually fresh and crisp; and all of the great reading material dotted around the rooms and public spaces.

Beautiful wood floors, brick interior walls in the lobby and public rooms, interesting and comfortable furniture, with lots of unique decor in the rooms and lobby.

Sigifredo stopped what he was doing and ran across the lobby to help me open the elevator when my hands were full.

It stressed my mom out so she was pacing in the lobby.

The lobby was decorated for Christmas and the staff were extremely friendly.

but we looked forward to the daily fruit infused water in the lobby and the complimentary fruit and coffee.

5) Fresh lime/lemon water and fresh fruits in the lobby were nice touches.

The ambiance of the lobby was charming and full of artistic character.

One last word; the hotel has a painting in the lobby of Major-General Henry Norman, a 19th century British soldier, and our room contained a copy of his biography.

We talked about the music that was playing in the lobby, things to do in Brooklyn for a short stay, and so much more.

We were immediately greeted when we initially arrived and every time we were in the lobby.

Armand, the reservation agent told me there were rooms available and booked us and charged $1,200+ to my credit card.

-The door that leads to riverwalk, you cannot go back through with your card.

Sat in their lobby as I called and canceled cards.

I have stayed here before and remember there were parking issues and they charge to park.

Questionable charges for parking - confirmation email said I paid for a parking package

I must also mention that when I arrived, I was informed of more charges to include an additional $15.99 Per day, for parking spot, which there are usually no parking spots available on hotel site so you are forced to leave the premises and park in an off site “additional parking lot”.

Instead of having a room ready I was asked for creditcard for incidentals (without any sign of check in.

They also have the audacity to charge for parking.

They charge you 15.00 a day and you still might have to park on the street.

After all, we were assured that parking charges would be waived and we would get a 20% discount.

I gave her my card and she gave it back and said i don’t need it .. it will come out your deposit!

Definitely want to check your Room before moving everything in and make sure you read fine print as they charge for things that says they don’t charge for on third party booking sites as well as theirs.

She then confirmed I parked my vehicle at the property and indicated I’d be charged an additional $15.99 a night per vehicle.

They told me it’ll take 2-3 weeks to refund my card!

My husband had to argue with the front desk employee as they attempted to charge us for the more expensive suite rate upon checkout

They made a mistake in the transactions and DAVID decided to kick our family out in the cold snow because he didn’t like the tone I was using after HE made the mistake.

I reminded him that he assured me my card had been taken out the system yet I was charged again.

Then I’m suddenly told my card didn’t go through BECAUSE THE WOMAN AT FRONT DESK TELLS ME ITS 370.

We enjoyed the hotel the only thing i disliked was that the whirlpool was literally a bath tub its not a jacuzzi tub and its small and they charge so much for it i didnt know about that until i got there.

They doesn't charge for the parking lot nor to receive packages

You can only get clean towels or any necessary items, downstairs at the front desk, complimentary breakfast is nothing to look forward to.

Didn’t really get any perks for my Hilton status and left too early for free breakfast.

Chose this hotel over another because they advertised breakfast being included in the price.

We worked a triple shift and the hotel was accommodating to our needs being on the road 36+ hours straight it was nice to have a clean hotel close by so we could actually rest for a few hours between shifts and was very nice to have the hot complimentary breakfast.

Nice and comfortable stay @ Hampton Inn Harrison Newark,  stayed with family and the overall experience was good, they provided complimentary shuttle service to/from Newark Penn station.

They have shuttles for drop off and pickup from the Newark Penn Station.

(a fantastic diner, local favorite spanish restaurant, gas station/convenience store, popeyes chicken and dunkin donuts)  They also gave me delivery menus of several local places (chinese, pizza) when I checked in.Very close to Newark Penn Station (train station to NYC) and at all hours there were ubers very close by.

I was able to get back to Newark Penn station before the shuttle stopped for the night, which is 11pm, by calling the hotel a stop away to request pickup.

The Newark Penn Station is about a mile from the hotel and they have a shuttle that runs from the hotel to the station that goes from 6am to 11pm.

They simply advertise a shuttle service to and from the airport, Newark Penn Station, and local businesses.

So easy to get to Newark Penn Station to take the PATH train to the World Trade Center station.

But we needed a place with a shuttle from Newark Penn Station, so that won the day.

Stayed here for a concert we were attending at the prudential center.

We went to Newark to see 2 Bon Jovi shows (which were so amazing) and stayed at the Hampton Inn which was only 1.2 miles from the Prudential Center.

First the positives: the room was clean and the shuttle service to and from the Prudential center was very good.

but I'm glad I did its 5 mins from Harrison path stop heading into New York and literally around the corner Newark Penn Station and the prudential center.

I stayed here when going to a show at the prudential center in Newark.

The location is perfect if you will be going to the Prudential Center or surrounding areas.

We stayed 3 nights while attending a conference in the Prudential Center and they put on a shuttle bus especially for all of the delegates in their hotel attending, several times a day.

I stayed here on Saturday night after visiting the KCON concert at the Prudential Center in Newark.

This hotel is about a mile from the Prudential Center where the concert was held.

We enjoyed staying the night after a concert at the Prudential center.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great recommendations for restaurants in the area, shuttle service to the Prudential Center was fantastic, cleanest room we've been in in awhile, will stay here again the next time we come up for a Devils game.

We’ve been staying at this hotel for 2 weeks and spent thousands on a room yet the service received was disturbing.

Jean Joseph provides excellent customer service and is a great ambassador for this Hampton.

Excellent place to stay, with excellent service with the shuttle to the train station (and close to an area with excellent and affordable restaurants).

They were able to refer an excellent taxi service who was waiting to pick us up at 3:30 a.m. in a clean Tahoe to transport the 4 of us with 5 pieces of luggage for $33.00.

I’ve also used the shuttle services to attend events nearby without having to drive to and from and be concerned about parking which can be quite expensive.

Clean rooms, good service and a quick serve breakfast to get you on your way.

The rooms were not cleaned and the chairs were stained the beds had hair in it the bathroom was dirty with hair in the sink there was no shampoo or shower gel and they changed our rooms 3times and they were all nasty fixtures were not on the walls and broken curtains they also gave strangers room keys to your room

I have had it with the nasty ass rooms and OVER priced rooms with stained floors & furniture.

Improvements - The towels had a weird old peanut smell like they were washed in either dirty water or a dirty machine, they did not smell clean at all.

The floor tiles were dirty in many areas and the elevator floors were FILTHY (the entire stay).

Soon as we got into the room it smelled like weed.

I could smell the mold killer through the wall when I was going to bed.

The lobby furniture is soiled, the elevators are dirty and the hall carpets going into the guest rooms look like they need a good cleaning.

The odor in the room and the lack of complimentary water for diamond members was not a great way to start the stay.

A lot of guests breathing and touching the same food.

Water view is not worth it as the water is filthy with floating debris and the train runs by all night!

Thursday night after I returned in from my step mothers funeral I noticed that the room smelled really bad like mildew.

The hotel room had mold on the ceilings and the room smelled like smoke.

The room smelled stale and was a tad overpriced.

Terrible experience, disgusting attitude from the front desk.

Fire alarm went off at 1245 in the morning from people smoking in their room, this seems like it happens somewhat frequently as I read another review where they mention the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. 4.

At 6 am, we were awakened by heavy construction noise and continuous hammering, we tried to enjoy the patio (we have a suite with a patio)

We were traveling with children so we were a little nervous about previous reviews on the loud construction of the bridge.

lots of construction in nearby warehouses, looks like converting to apartments so area will improve.

There is some construction going on in the building attached to the hotelas well as across the street and of course you can hear it a bit by about 7am

Only downside was construction noise at night.

After reading reviews complaining about the construction noise, I knew that meant we wanted an interior room/no terrace.

Fortunately, we only experienced the construction noise during our first morning there.

but you would not want to use be there during these days while construction goes on next door.
