It is in close proximity to Central Park, MoMA, Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center and a host of other Big Apple attractions.

We enjoyed the fitness center and the pool came in handy during the trip.

We noted that the fitness center had Peleton bikes; we wanted to know if the hotel had an account to use or if you needed your own.

Big plus to this hotel is the fitness center - good gym that is open super early, and great training pool.

We used the fitness center and pool located on the top floor.

The pool, spa, and fitness center on the top floor were updated and relaxing as well.

We love the living room for dining, and the pool area is gorgeous.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the pool staffed by a dedicated lifeguard.

The hotel has the best indoor pool in the world.

The pool was very nice and some staff were helpful while others were cold at greeting guests.

The pool area is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen anywhere and certainly must be one of the nicest in New York City.

We love the room service, the pool, the restaurant, and the bellman are very helpful.

Room size is generous, lap pool is decent(when there’s no kids) and we can go for a run in Central Park.

The pool, gym and workout facility is by far the nicest I have even seen for a city hotel.

Key cards didn’t work for pool the whole stay…which is the only reason we chose this hotel with 2 kids.

Amenities are top notch, and the 25th floor pool is worth a visit on it's own.

A hot tub and wide lap pool is adjacent a few steps away.

but this property was memorable not only for the awesome pool (on the 25th floor in NYC no doubt!)

So, if an artistically designed interior and accommodations, with a world class spa, swimming pool and great location. .

Regardless, the pool staff made it comfortable for my family to enjoy.

A cheese, tacky attempted shakedown to charge $50 to check in early (at a hotel whose average room rate this time of year is $1,100+ and where a soft drink in the bar would be $25 all-in).

Managements response was to remove the upgrade fee, which, given the fact that they sent me to a dirty room, wasn't much of a response from a five star property.

I almost opted in to upgrade to a room with terrace with a fee,
but once I saw the room it was clear it's not worth the splurge.

Breakfast crazily overpriced, pool hot tub was lukewarm and a few jets were broken, massage therapists always booked.

The issues I encountered, while perhaps individually minor, collectively paint a picture of a hotel that falls short on delivering the quality and service one would reasonably expect for the price and brand reputation.

F&B ridiculously over priced even for nyc standard and quality subpar.

but if I had to pay for breakfast I would definitely not eat at the hotel.

You can pay this amount and have a room with design flaws and broken parts.

This hotel is easily forgettable, and for the price, it feels like a rip off.

(You could lightly hear the noise even in the lobby) I was offered several rooms for an upgrade fee that I declined.

I stayed at a Hyatt Regency in Europe for 20% of the cost of a room at the Park Hyatt in NYC, and they had their VIP coordinator checking in with me before, during, and after my stay…that didn’t happen in NYC.

This time I actually had a massage at the spa and can highly recommend Mark who used a combination of traditional and Thai massage techniques.

The spa: Even if you don't book a service, visit this one.

The steam room is fantastic, and the staff was really friendly.

The gym lockers were very nicely kept and the steam room was a nice touch.

I had a massage with Laurie/Lori and it was glorious.

The rooms - even the standard ones - are very large, clean, comfortable, and well equipped…larger than you would get in most New York City hotel rooms

There is a wonderful indoor pool, spa, and gym on the top floor.

In my opinion the pinnacle of my experiences at the Park Hyatt were the Spa Naiai, the saltwater lap pool and the fitness center.

There is a restaurant and spa on premise.

We'd planned on spa time (facials) when booked this months ago and only got notice of only massage the day or two before arrival.

And a key highlight and differentiator was the Spa on the 25th floor which included a decent pool (with resident lifeguard), jacuzzi and good size gym.

Excellent, swimming pool & steam room were great, breakfast was delicious, check in process was smooth and quick.

There is also a very nice gym, pool and spa available at the hotel.

A free sauna and changing area with freebies and towels galore.

I have been here 9-10 times before and generally found it a middle-of-the-road / nothing special (but nevertheless acceptable) experience within its category,

We booked two nights for a joint Birthday celebration and had a wonderful experience.

One thing I learned from my experience is never set up any high expectations even the reviews are glowing.

The Park Hyatt staff, accommodations and amenities made for an absolutely fantastic and most memorable experience for our family.

From the staff to the design and cleanliness of the room, I found the hotel to be a 10/10 experience.

Although I was only here for a weekend, I must say this is one of the finest Hyatt properties I have experienced and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The decor is chic and luxe, and it felt like the hospitality experience was well-designed to offer everything one needs in the room.

It is one of my favorite staycation spots, and this time we returned with an infant, and it was a five-star experience all the way - thanks to the many incredible staff here.

We waited another 10 minutes for the bill, and another 10 minutes for the card machine, safe to say we didn't visit the bar for the rest of the trip.

but we were also unpleasantly surprised by the nearly $100 in additional facility fees charged at check-out, including apparently compulsory charitable donations.

Further, I found out that my key card was deactivated - while I left the room with all my belongings still inside.

Just to note, there is a fee of $40 a day service charge which is not explained when checking in.

When we checked in, the front desk person did not explain to us that there is a $40 facility fee charge per day, nor explained the coverage of facility fee until we received the receipt by email after the stay.

We were presented with a final bill which had errors on it and then checked our bank and charges had been made which far exceeded the figure on the bill.

Underwhelming, poor service and overcharged.

Last night of our stay there ,  they suddenly canceled the key cards  to the room because they had forgotten to ask us for the credit card on the first day and with that way we were forced to pass through the reception.

However, when we came to pay the bill at the end of our trip they had charged us 100 dollars!!

In case you forgot anything or get hungry or thirsty a well stocked tray and fridge offer most anything you could ask for right in the room (for a charge) suitable for teens or adults.

One drawback since my return is that there is still a pending payment on my credit card.

but I’m not convinced as why would it be $100 charge for a task that takes 10 mins.

I had a minor billing issue that I called about after the trip and it was cleared up immediately.

Additionally we were charged for two bottles of water we did not consume.

- Room service ends at 9.30pm which is a shame
- You will be charged $40 tax per night on top of the room rate which I guess is standard

Furnishings, electronics, fixtures are all worn, and they charge you for literally everything.

A credit to Courtney and Lewis nothing was too much for them and after a long day of travelling it was refreshing to be so well looked after!

I would not recommend this hotel and am in the process of filing a better business bureau complaint and a complaint with my credit card about the excessive $300+ charge for pulling out the pull out couch which was not disclosed.

The fitness centre albeit small, was always accessible and available.

The fitness center is clean and offers two treadmills, one elliptical and two Peloton bikes, plus a small area for strength training.

A 24 hour fitness centre procvAided me with a facility to exercise on the road and for those that must work, a 24 hour business centre is available.

There is an AMAZING rooftop pool, adjacent rooftop bar and restaurant, awesome fitness center, and LARGE SPACIOUS rooms.

The Royalton boasts a 24 hour fitness centre as well as a concierge staff who are always ready to help chart your attack on the Big Apple attractions.

There is a fitness center IN the hotel that had everything we needed.

Hotel amenities include a fitness center, spa, business center, street-level restaurant (called Asellina), and two shops (Lacoste and the Juice Press).

Positive: you do not need to wait for an elevator as four elevators for this hotels size is positive

this hotel offers a great localisation to visit NY     Nice rooms with large bathroom with a good bath (not always the case in the US)    The swimming pool is amaizing on the roof top with a view on the Empire State Building.

We brought our luggage up to our room on the 8th floor and were thrilled to open the door to a massive room with king bed, sitting area and huge bathroom with soaker tub, separate standing shower and double vanity sinks.

Bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a large sink and a SOAKER TUB!!

My room was very comfortable with quality amenities, a spacious bedroom, desk, sitting area, plenty of closet space and the bathroom was spacious.

If you book the king suite there is a beautiful huge bathroom with a double sink and jacuzzi tub!

The bathroom vanity was large enough for all our toiletries.

I booked a deluxe king which was very spacious and provided a nice seating area and large bathroom.

The bathroom featured a huge trough style sink a large bath with a shower built into the wall above the bath controlled by the mixer tap, the shower was powerful, warm and ery welcome after a day walking around New York.

The rooms are large and comfortable, and the upstairs lounge is swank and comfortable.

We stayed at the Paris and Beverly Hills Peninsula and they are so consistent with how they welcome guests.

At the Beverly Hills location, we were greeted by name each time we entered the hotel.

It’s not quite as spectacular as it’s cousin in Beverly Hills

I expected an experience similar to that in Beverly Hills when I decided to try the Peninsula in NYC.

If you are familiar with Peninsula brands in China, Hong Kong, Beverly Hills, or elsewhere, I’m not sure your expectations will be met here.

Beverly Hills, Chicago and NYC, nothing rivals the Peninsula in guest comfort, amenities, focus on detail and facilities.

We are now going to Peninsula Beverly Hills, hopefully a better experience!

but this was our third visit to a Peninsula property (the first two being Tokyo and Beverly Hills) so we had previous brand experience to compare this visit to.

The Beverly Hills Peninsula is just amazing and should be on everyone's bucket list.
