I had just assumed the level of service and the hotel rooms were just part of the experience of being in a sought after big city.

Although we only stayed one night, staff was most helpful in giving directions to the city.

Of course, the view of the city was nice.

We had a spacious King City View on our recent 9/12/21 - 9/14/21 stay.

We stay in Westin Jersey city it’s much better hotel and guest service… STAY AWAY

I compromised with this location instead of the Westin Hotel in Jersey City  because the hotel very distinctly advertises views of the Empire State building across from the harbor.

This made getting to the city very convenient and fast.

Perfect location within walking distance of the entire city of hoboken bars and restaurants galore.

Great location if you are looking to be close to the city.

Fantastic views of the city and the ferry is conveniently situated close to the hotel.

We didn’t upgrade to the city view room

but we choose to stay in New Jersey to have some quiet peaceful stay after a very crowded day & less cost, location is very close to the bus station (bus 158&159 r &156) to New York City (Times Square) across the tunnel, Has a great view for New York sky line, very clean spacious rooms, friendly staff, Marriott points

The ferry to the city is literally right at the doorstep.

I booked a City View King Sized room for my Wife's birthday on Friday 11-6-2020;  checked in before 4pm for one day as she wanted a hotel getaway from NYC with a nice panoramic view and close to the Harbor.

Very comfortable room with a gorgeous view of the city.

Room was large and clean and had a view across to the city, club lounge

Here are the SIX things I did to get one…
- Booked early (several months in advance)
- Paid full-price for an executive suite with a City View
- Booked directly with the hotel as opposed to Booking
- Joined the Bonvoy program, which is supposed to offer perks
- Requested a high-up room by phone
- Requested a high-up room via the Bonvoy app

Despite all these precautions, reception tells me “You’re on the third floor”. Really?

My biggest frustration with this visit is that there was a lot it in accurate information we were given when we booked through Priceline
We specially Selected a Deluxe King Room with City View (my mother specifically wanted to stay here to enjoy the view) and if we were not early in for checking in, as persistent as we were, and didn’t come across a great employee it probably wouldn’t of happened.

It really is a good location with great city views, and probably one of the more affordable and convenient accommodations in that area.

It did have comfortable beds and a nice city view.

Overall, this is a decent place as you can get the best NYC city view including watching July 4th fireworks show and avoid the noise as it is across the river of Manhattan.

Room was spacious, with a great view of the city - the kind of setting that calls for breakfast in bed!

Overall everything was pretty good the views of the city skyline are like a picture postcard and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I got this reservation early and got a beautiful city view.

Staying in Weehawken is a nice break from the City and the views are magnificent.

Great Value compared to similar hotels on Manhattan and the City views across the river were awesome!

Also, charging for wifi in 2023 - really? !

Card keys werent working when we returned from lunch and we lost time going back to our room to prepare to checkout.

Charging for WiFi  is just greedy 

Suggestion….if you are planning to stay here, I would do it before they decide to put pay toilets in the bathrooms.

At the end we were charged an extra $200 approx for 'incidentals' which were not shown on the receipt/booking confirmation

Apparently the Sheraton charges $50 to your credit card at time of check in.

I was charged after telling me I had NO reservations under my name.

They had $4 water bottles in the room and charged $25 to park in an empty uncovered lot.

even though they'd always waived the parking charge in the past, I called to speak with a manager.

Even as a member of Marriot BonVoy club they would not put my points on my card because it was booked through Booking.com and not direct!

but I would prefer to stay at a hotel that does not charge its guests extra for absolutely everything.

They freely add whatever they like to your debit or credit card!

Here's what I noticed:

No usb charging near bed, just an old lamp with an old socket (two,) 

The refrigerator was a tiny college dorm style type and was on the floor for some reason and was unplugged and smelled king of bad. There was a stain on the couch which was red (I HOPE it was wine.)

There is a $25 charge for parking if you come by car.

but since you just checked me in and took my credit card info, maybe you can figure it out while you are getting me a room where I won't have  a roommate."

Arrived around 4:00 am and found out they charge for parking $25.00.

I think that they pay about $120 per room and it’s not even worth that so to pay the two or $300 that they charge individuals is a big mistake.

The breakfast was horrible for the amount being charged.

Our only major complaint is that, neither on check-in nor via announcement in our room, were we made aware of a Green program wherein you can choose to forego maid service on one or more days and receive, in exchange, credit on your bill.

Parking is available for $25 a day, a far cry from the excessive $60 a day and plus parking in NYC if you find a parking spot at all.The hotel charges for WI-FI, a very unpopular practice with the guests (Suggestion: zero   negotiate this charge before reserving the room).

My parents CC was charged for the room, because someone at the Front Desk demanded that they would not be given a room unless they supplied a credit card and ID.

We had a nice view of Lincoln Harbor and the ferry boats and could see lower Manhattan from an angle.

although it had a fine view of the lower Manhattan skyline, it is tucked in the corner behind a couple of other buildings and feels a bit isolated from the rest of the community.

I had a "partial view room" which had a fantastic view to lower Manhattan.

Very modern, nice amenities and fantastic view of lower Manhattan!

You are directly across from lower midtown and depending where your room is located you might also be able to see lower Manhattan.

Some rooms have fantastic views of the Hudson and Midtown and Lower Manhattan.

Once on the other side it was about a 20 minute walk to Times Square or you can catch a free connecting bus down to lower Manhattan.

We loved the "partial" view from our room - lower Manhattan!

Having stayed in a King room with a partial city view (of lower Manhattan) on the 7th floor, I will say the room was comfortable and spacious,

I suggest going south (right), which gives you nice views of lower manhattan the whole way.

Our room was a nice size and while we didn't specify a city view, we ended up having a view of One Trade Center and Lower Manhattan.

We had a big, clean room with a view of the lower Manhattan skyline.

And from the buses, you can just about walk to any location from mid-town to lower Manhattan.

It has its' own water ferry stop (Lincoln Harbor/Weehawken) and marvelous views of lower Manhattan.

If you have some time, check out Hoboken and then take the New Jersey light rail to Liberty State park, here you have great views of Lower Manhattan and can catch the ferry to Liberty and Ellis Island.

We had a view of lower Manhattan and the Hudson River.

The best part of New York is just being in the middle of the action on the streets, Time Square, Lower Manhattan, the food, shopping, night entertainment to suit everyone, different neighborhoods and constant diverse crowd.

though I couldn't see the Empire State Building, I had a nice view out over the old (and admittedly deteriorating)piers to Lower Manhattan.

Right outside is the ferry to take you into Manhattan.

What was unique was an outstanding view of Manhattan.

The view is simply wonderful with Manhattan skyline and the sun in a dramatic view.

For five of us to get the ferry over to Manhattan - well, let's just say we didn't get much change out of $100 (for one round trip)!!

All that aside it is in a good position with water taxis to Manhattan Mid town and down town from just out front and about 15 mins around the short walkway to the right.

The hotel is located right on the Hudson River with amazing views of Manhattan.

The bus took only about ten minutes through the Lincoln Tunnel so don't hesitate to stay here and "commute" to Manhattan!

This Sheraton has a lovely view of Lincoln Harbor and the Manhattan skyline.

Had we stayed in New York we would never have got the amazing views if Manhattan.

It’s super convenient to the ferry that drops you at 39th street, and the sunset views of the Manhattan skyline were brilliant.

Location is prime, the ferry right outside the hotel takes you to Manhattan in just 6mins for 18.50$ US round trip.

You also have a ferry that leaves every 15 minutes to Manhattan right outside the Hotel.

In terms of location, there is a ferry port right outside the hotel which takes you across the Hudson into Manhattan every 15/20 minutes.

The Sheraton is close to bus stops which facilitates excursions to Manhattan.

The beds are comfy and the hotel is next to ferry which only takes 6 mins to reach central Manhattan.

The attached restaurant was reasonable, just outside the front door of the Hotel there is a water taxi to Manhattan, on a good weather day the ride is pleasant and short.

One is the stellar views of the Manhattan skylight in all it's glory.

The view towards Manhattan is spectacular at night as the hotel’s location is perfect for that.

It had plenty of parking and there was a Ferry Service just outside the front doors for only $9 each way that would take you to Manhattan in only 6 minutes.

And at one half the price of a Manhattan hotel!

There was no fridge and we had to call reception to get enough towels and water for the three of us.

No explanation how the lamp, telephone, heating system or automatic airco works on a paper dear manager.

On every morning, we had to call the front desk and ask staff to walk into the restaurant to get our order placed, or go down to the facility ourselves to place our order.

In fact, the reservations line told me "We're busy -- can you call back later," and after sending an email to the hotel manager, they didn't even respect me enough to send a response.

For over 25 minutes I called the room service number on my cell and guest services from the room.

No matter how many times you call guest services from your room, the line is busy.

i will be calling HR about this because this is unprofessional and very poor hospitality from this hotel.

What about the danger she was putting me in by calling the cops on a Puerto Rican male?

Guy on the phone said he basically got it.

My husband emailed the front desk again to complain that it took 3 calls and 2 emails to correct the issue.

but I was told that they would call me back.

I informed the person behind the desk that no one notified me and that I’ve made the reservation over the phone while I was driving on my way there and he didn’t care so I ended up canceling one night.

but was told that there were no more King rooms with a view available, and they'd call if a room became available.

And I specifically made sure anything happens they should call me, so they just forgot 10min after? 2.

I was notified via email at 2am, followed by a phone call the following AM.

Front desk is not the friendliest from the first phone call today up to check in.

These did NOT work either, of course i am furious and call him back on the hotel phone by the elevators to explain: he abuptly hangs up the phone without saying what he’s going to do( a second display of poor manners).

⚫Bathroom sink in room was blocked & not draining
⚫Carpets in bedroom filthy & rooms are generally not cleaned to a high standard

⚫Cordless phone in room did not work
⚫USB ports in room by desk did not work (no power)
⚫Constant noise from construction right next door to this hotel
⚫Drinks vending machine broken on my floor, took my money

When I tried calling the hotel operator from the room phone or from the outside, the phone would just ring and ring — sometimes for what seemed like 50-75 rings or more — which is totally unacceptable especially in the event of an emergency.

We love the view of the harbor from the room.

This is important as I paid 240$ for the one night stay at a City View Room  when you have a better view from the street.

Staying at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbour was a wonderful experience; the view of NYC skyline from our room and being on the water was amazing.

The front desk mentioned my room wasn’t ready (I had gotten a partial city view room).

We reserved a view room on the club floor.

Overall a good place to stay for the quality of the NYC view rooms and the general location.

Will return simply for the views and that room.

The view from rooms (if you get a good one) can be really nice.

I was shocked that my room actually has a great view since I got it off Priceline.

I've stayed here twice now and last room had a great panoramic view of Manhattan.

When checking in the city view room was oversold so was moved to a standard double.

I had an amazing stay at the Standard for my 30th birthday.

I came here for my birthday and my check in alone made my whole experience worth it at the standard.

We visited NY for my birthday and decided to stay at the Standard as we like the area and wanted to go to the rooftop bar LeBain.

We came here to celebrate my 60th birthday and the standard did not disappoint!

Additionally, it would’ve been nice to have a little something (even a verbal “happy birthday”) for my birthday

The room was facing the water and offered a beautiful view of the city.

She made sure all my needs were met, gave me recommendations of what to do while i’m in the city, and even upgraded my room for me.

We see water all the time so looking at the buildings of the city was magical (East side), particularly at night with Empire State and other lit up.

Beautiful rooms, always clean, great views looking out at the highline or the water or the city.

Being Dutch we used the bikes for 3 days and loved cycling around the city.

Also, the atmosphere is super relaxing and is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

In any city, this is a rare example of honesty.

Main reason for my stay is I take regular epsom soak baths and they have the best soaking tubs of any non over the top pricey hotels in the city!

Location is ideal, in Meatpacking district with Chelsea and West Village nearby, loads of food options blocks away, and is right by High Line Park and across Little Island (my new favorite park).

In the end, I thought it was very expensive for what it offers.

The Hotel is grossly overpriced for what they deliver.

This hotel costs way too much money for this to be how business is conducted.

The room felt DIRTY and the whole experience was upstaged by the RIDICULOUS FEES.

I found out later when I checked my credit card, that the rate for a two night stay was significantly higher than the rate for a three night stay.
