Was excited to see the cool, hip design and vibe,  which didn't disappoint.

but as a 53 year old business traveler, it's definitely too cool / hip for me.

Overall hotel has a younger more hip vibe than a traditional NY hotel.

It was super Hip hotel that I can feel the energy of new york.

The property gives a hip & cool vibe and the amenities are awesome.

The central location suited our tourist activities well and the hip decor made us feel cooler than we are.

This is an eccentric specialty hotel for hipsters, not really a good choice for business travel.

What a hip, cool, trendy, instagrammable hotel 👌🏼 We spent lots of time using the bar area and facilities during our stay.

I work for Renaissance Hotel, Moxy provided a similar hip and fun vibe that I very much enjoyed.

The rooms are hip and quiet, you can hardly hear a peep in the rooms, even from the streets and hallways.

Great location, funky decor, hip bar areas and everything I need for a stress free night in the city.

The atmosphere is hip and trendy, definitely a place to stay if you want to be close to everything and have a party!

This Moxy property is a sexy, hip, and refreshing unconventional approach to business travel!

7 blocks away from Times Square, this hip and fun property is THE place I'll be staying at on my future trips to NYC.

This is a well styled hotel for the hip younger crowd, that fits the amenities to the price point.

Cracking hotel with great facilities, clean, modern and somewhere we will recommended to all our friends.

but this was very modern and comfortable.

If I were to describe this hotel in two words it would be modern and efficient.

but efficient- clean, well stocked with a modern vibe- comfy beds, soft towels.

but clean and modern, the shower is great (perfect temperature and high pressure),  the coffee shop nextdoors is cozy and nice (they cooperate with Moxy for breadfast)

The hotel itself is modern, fun, & full of bars, restaurants, lounges, & a gorgeous rooftop bar.

The room was clean and modern, and the bed was super comfortable.

We loved the vibe and modern feel of the hotel and the friendly staff, especially having Giovanny help us out when we first arrived.

The service was awesome, and the interior was modern.

The bathrooms are impeccable and modern; there are four elevators and they are very quick, spacious and modern, and the entire hotel has a vibrant nightlife energy.

The hotel has a very cool vibe, with modern and stylish rooms that seamlessly blend comfort and aesthetic appeal.

There is a way to be a funky, modern hotel, that’s practical and clean.

but modern rooms a nice bar and a great rooftop.

The modern room was clean and spacious, and the hotel's location in Times Square was perfect for exploring the city.

Great contemporary rooms, great location, great bar on 2nd floor plus rooftop!

Small issue was the loud music that played late into the night

but they blast the music so loud that you can't have any meetings or focus on any work.

People said the rooms were too small and the nightclub was too loud.

The roof top bar is not a place to have a conversation, music is at a level of a nightclub

The only real down side was the noise from the roof top bar on Saturday it - it was very loud up until 4am.

Since this wasn't explained to me at check-it (or I missed it during the hurried explanation with a line of people waiting and very loud music thumping away), I wound up having to pay for a meal at the overpriced Legasea.

However it is open till 4 am and  is very loud.

If you want a quieter sleep, go above the 3rd floor, as the 2nd floor is a party until late on any given night

Also, had a bartender (Cody, I believe) that hosted me several times while working from their various bars in between meetings.

We should really have requested  rooms on a lower floor as the noise from the rooftop bar was loud and constant until 3-4am.

The air-con which other people we spoke to were moaning about is a joke, it’s incredibly loud and despite turning it off would still start up every half an hour during the night banging away and would literally wake you up with a start!

We were kept awake on Friday and Saturday night by very loud music which we think was coming from the roof terrace bar.

Be aware that it can be very noisy, mainly due to the rooftop music very loud and playing late in the night.

This area of New York is loud, so if you arent used to the noise, the hotel should be able to supply you with some earplugs.

On the 14th floor, it was so loud we switched to a room on the 9th floor, where we could still hear the bar.

but care should be taken not to put style before function - on checking in, reception resembled a night club and the music was so loud, it was impossible to hear what the receptionist was saying to us!

There was music playing fairly loud, certainly loud enough to make communicating with the front of house staff a challenge and they seemed to find it difficult to hear what we were saying too.

Even without these issues, I would not recommend the hotel as it there is no storage in the rooms, nowhere to really do work if you are there on business, the beds are against the wall which is an issue if you have a partner, the elevators take forever, and the hotel is so incredibly loud.

The noise from the traffic outside was awful.

Noisy air con unit inches from your head.

We were originally put on the 16th floor and arrived on a Friday at 9pm and Oh My Goodness I have never heard noise like it in my life!!

The windows are not soundproof and I heard all the road noise during the night which made sleeping tricky.

The rooftop bar plays music until at least midnight, which we could hear in our room several floors below, even after we moved from the 12th to the 10th.

but i took it anyway knowing Manhattan is generally noisy.

Having said this we never heard any noise from the bar.

Every experience with the front desk was the same - noisy, crowded and confusing.

As a former resident of NY and a lifelong traveler to NY, I understand that hotels in the City are faced with loud noise, unbearable rooms, and oftentimes rude service.

It could be noisy so make sure you have your ear plugs with you.

The Magic Hour Rooftop Bar was great and has spectacular views over the Empire State Building and the city itself, we also enjoyed the bar and grill restaurant and sports bar at the hotel.

In general, all the staff were great, including the woman who was delivering champagne to a room. I asked her, "will i feel stupid going to the rooftop bar alone?"

There’s a rooftop bar that looks amazing and I look forward to checking it out when we come back.

I love this hotel, I had such an amazing NYC experience between the rooftop bar the amazing sea food at Legasea and the second floor lounge.

Also shared great tip of rooftop bar as part of the building!

Anthony at the front desk was kind, inviting and went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I had a great stay. Fun rooftop bar and an awesome work space with a bar/bites on the 2nd floor (also with great service.)

The bars are great and the roof top bar is even better.

With a great restaurant, beautiful rooftop bar, and quick walk to Times Square you are going to love it.

The bar is lovely and the rooftop bar is nice and great for photo ops.

They have great facilities including barbershop, cafe, restaurant, gym and rooftop bar.

Aside from the great restaurant downstairs and the trendy rooftop bar, service was beyond expectations.

I travel a lot for business, and everything from checking in, to the rooftop bar, to the room is amazing.

Hotel has over 600 rooms - pros are cool vibes, great breakfast/coffee restaurant bar on 2nd floor, comfy beds and communal studio working space which was good.

The room was comfortable & a great use of the space for a NYC room.

The personalized note on the mirror was a plus and it was easy to access meals, fun spaces to relax and work without leaving the property!

The Moxy Times square has a cozy bar, restaurant, Bakery counter/cafe in the morning, great rooftop and even coworking spaces.

The room was clean and well designed lots of a space to store luggage!

Personally, I loved the cozy, yet functional space.

They use the space very well with clever storage ideas.

The hotel had so much to offer - great food, atmosphere, gym, really nice work/loungey space.

Lounge spaces are cozy and inviting, the gym is fully equipped, what else is there to say.

The room was clean and comfortable — cozy without being cramped.

They also had a great luggage storage setup as well that was a big help the last day when I was checking out

Also, sorry to say the vibe from front desk cooled towards me following that exchange.

The room was very tired, mattress didn’t fit the bed properly, Air con was broken, TV remote didn’t work properly, wires hanging down, drawer under the bed was broken, marks over the walls etc.

Although my AC was not working properly, maintenance responded quick and was able to get the heat to work.

+ immediate and friendly replacement & repair of broken heating (I need at least 24'C) and window.

It would be nice if they add a discrete light just for the bathroom like the ones with the sensor that we can plug-in on the bottom of the wall!

And there was literal duct tape holding a window frame together.

Front desk staff was good; engineering staff couldn't fix our Chromecast and never brought us a new unit despite repeated assurances they would; coffee in the lobby store was terrible.

I stayed at the Arlo Soho mid June and during my stay I was experiencing AC issues, loud construction noises and having difficulty operating the shades.

I was very disappointed at the state of the room - such as black duct tape around furniture?

It was clearly not a good few days for the hotel - the air conditioning did not work and so it was impossible to sleep and on two of the days, there was no water all day, once because of a problem where the hotel was located.

but everytime the AC clicked on - and it was often - it sounded like a plane landed in our room.

We didn’t have AC for hours and had to switch rooms 3x in total before reaching a solution.

The AC did not work one day (out of 3), so not terrible,

The air conditioning wasn’t working & would leak water all over the floor.

however there was no decorations and it didn’t even have heaters outside.

The maintenance guy removed the thermostat cover and had to go into the ceiling for further investigation releasing dust, mold and God knows what else into the air which in hindsight is a bit of a concern as I have no idea what I have been exposed to.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating.

The staff is very friendly and efficient in helping guests with all aspects of their stay.

The location was fantastic, and the staff, especially Danny at the front desk, was incredibly friendly.

The hotel reception were very friendly and helpful, especially Lay, they really make you feel welcome and looked after.

I had a fantastic stay at the Arlo SoHo- the stall were amazing, so helpful and friendly.

They were extremely friendly and helped us with all of our needs.

Staff were so friendly and we appreciated the folks who went above and beyond for us, especially Dean!

The rooms are very small and if you’re not comfortable with your spouse the bathroom situation could be an issue for you.

The bed touches three walls (head and foot of bed, as well as the far side), and the room is so small, there is barely any room for a large suitcase or for a place to sit in the ground and do a post-workout stretch.

I knew the rooms would be small so I was not surprised, they do utilize the small space well.

We knew going in the rooms were small so were prepared for that.

I can honestly say the room was a little too small for the price, we made it work anyway.

Only complaint (-1 star), rooms were tiny!

Arlo Soho’s commitment to a sensory experience was evident in every detail, from the clean and inviting ambiance to the subtle yet enchanting fragrance permeating the space.

The lobby and rooftop lounge areas are very comfortable and decorated nicely, my wife and I were able to touch base frequently in between our outings and the staff, especially Danny and Edwin, were super helpful in accommodating rides, luggage storage, and recommendations!

I stayed in a queen garden view room and while the room was small, it made good use of the space so that it didn’t feel claustrophobic.

The “closet” is an exposed hanging bar above a shelf in the hallway, also above a mini-fridge.

The housekeeping staff is friendly and they keep the Arlo’s lobby, guest rooms and public spaces immaculate.

The rooms are comfortable, there was enough space to organize all my stuff, the hotel has a great, hip vibe, and the staff (big shoutout to Demar, Ashley, Danny, Ivan & Edwyn), made me feel at home.

The rooms are clean, beautiful, and set up perfectly for a small space in NYC.

I also enjoyed the space available on the second floor to study/WFH/ or even eat.

Rooms are typical size for NYC, and cleverly take advantage of the available space.

Hotel has nice common spaces to hang out.

The space is like a cozy hug and the drinks were delicious.

but nicely appointed and with a good amount of storage space.

Had a bodega inside the SoHo space for snacks.

The bed is super comfy and they use the space well.

All the common spaces are tastefully modern, from the cool lobby with snack/coffee bar to the rooftop bar with some great views of the city.

I loved the common spaces and was lucky enough to spend a warm Friday evening on the rooftop with a friend.

The lobby is super cute, with a variety of set-ups to make a work day easy.

I recommend also the kiosk at the lobby what have tasteful coffees and other things what you like

Also, did I mention there is a 24-hour bodega in the lobby as well?

There is plenty of space to work from in the lobby, as well as a restaurant and a lovely rooftop bar.

I also liked the sandalwood scent they use in the lobby, and I usually dislike scented anything.

The hotel vibe is so young and hip, from the lobby coffee and snack bar to the numerous comfy work spaces with sofas, central courtyard, to the cool rooftop bar ( inside and outside).

This is my second stay here, and was so happy to hear Amaris's voice in the lobby!

In a world full of chaos, it’s really wonderful to have a place that feels comfortable and calm. I was able to use the quiet, modern lounge as a workspace every day, which was a huge plus for me as someone who is used to setting up in coffee shops for hours at a time (there’s a coffee shop in the lobby!)

And the Lobby are very cozy and has a good atmosphere!!!

It's has a young and hip vibe, which actually means music is loud in the Lobby and restaurant.

Clearly they have chosen to invest in the lobby experience as well as the many areas to work, eat, drink or just hang out.

As soon as you walk in the lobby you are enjoying some nice smells 😊 Popcorn was on offer Friday evening, just help yourself!

The lobby has Dylan’s candy and a great lobby, outside area, rooftop bar and restaurant.

The lobby, hotel bar, and lounge areas were super cute.

There was a small bodega offering healthy and delicious food options, a coffee bar, and candy store right in the lobby!

The lobby has multiple areas to cuddle up and read or work from your laptop.

The coffee / candy shop / bodega in the lobby has everything you need to get you going in the AM or for PM / late night snacks.
