They added all kinds of ridiculous charges to m bill once I got home, made my dinner $198.00!

This time I saw NY in the light of these two kind women and I m home thinking of my last visit through their eyes.

Excellent bed, lovely room and bathroom, excellent staff, free coffee in the morning was greatly appreciated,  connected to a gem of a bar which I enjoyed a couple of times during my stay, and  great location (2 blocks from Grand Central).

The location is terrific, situated just 2 blocks from Grand Central.

Ideal location for getting around the city, so being just a few blocks from Grand Central was perfect.Very quiet at night.

The location was fantastic, just 2- blocks from Grand Central and plenty of shops and restaurants close by.

1 block from Grand Central makes travel very easy.

Grand Central Station is only 2 blocks away for connections to the MTA and LIRR.

The hotel is beautiful and has spacious rooms with great views of the city, the staff is friendly, and the hotel’s location was very convenient as it is right next to Grand Central where you can take the subway to anywhere in the city!

In a location ideal for walking round newyork, only 10 minutes walk from times square.

The hotel is 2 blocks from Grand Central Station and an easy walk.

It has a very convenient location and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

They sent us to a Parking garage that was 12 blocks away.

Wonderful old building just two blocks away from Grand Central Station.

Bryant Park is just a few blocks away and there are good local restaurants.

This hotel was a great price in a great location (just a block and a half from Grand Central Terminal).

I’m Hilton Gold (sometimes Diamond), and i have to say Hilton service and loyalty program benefits (and respect) are severely dropping at a lot of Hilton properties, including this one.

Breakfast for hilton honors gold member is included and I thought in morning I will have nice breakfast and after that me and my wife can explore the city.

For those eligible Hilton Honors members, a special continental breakfast is provided without charge each morning.

when I booked my hotel, I used the Hilton Honors App.

Spent a week in NYC for my wife's b-day, at the hotel was absolutely superb, location, amenities, quality, personnel, something we will always remember, I'm a faithful Diamond Hilton member, this week reminded me why, Thanks for everything

I am a Hilton Diamond and so glad that The Renwick in the Curio Collection is part of Hilton.

I arrived late and as a Hilton Honors Diamond member, asked about an upgrade as it was a quiet mid-week stay.

As a Hilton Honours guest I was provided with complimentary water for every day which was a nice surprise (not unusual to just get one bottle at the start of a stay).

I really enjoy the Curio concept as a Diamond Member as you get the benefits of Hilton Diamond

As a Hilton Diamond member, trust me, you will love it here.

I would ask the hotel to stop doing that, and install larger water fountains in each floor (as they have in the gym)

As for breakfast, there are two types: a la carte, and a continental one for Hilton Gold Members.

I am a Hilton honors member and I’ve seen my share of standard corporate type hotels.

as a Hilton Honors member I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to the 16th Floor with a decent view of the city.

If its near where you’d like to be and you are a Hilton member, its a decent choice, just keep in mind the limitations given that its such a small hotel.

I proceeded to get charged and I have tried to call three times, once which I left a message for the manager and have essentially been ghosted.

Was difficult to speak to the Hotel Manager via telephone and had to send numerous e-mails to get a reply.

They even tried to get me to pay it AGAIN when we left, calling it a “Departure Tax”

Unfortunately on our first night (while suffering from jet lag) we were woken twice by our hotel neighbours rather loud nighttime antics - one of which was specifically at 4am, which was delightfully accompanied by the sound of their ongoing phone alarm (yes! An alarm for 4am!)

but you have to call and wait for an HOUR - that’s not Valet.

We had to call the front desk twice to ask them to bring up bedding…which they eventually did,

To make matters worse the heat didnt work - clearly to keep costs down - and a maintenance person isnt even on call out of business hours.

When you call them, the front desk immediately transfers you to the local manager who never picks up or responds to messages left on the answering machine.

One phone call and someone was straight up to fix

Once midnight came with no call I went down and no one was even at the front desk.

It took an hour to get through on the phone to a Hilton rep who still insisted the hotel was open.

We had an issue every day with the incorrect amount of towels supplied, there was always something missing, which shouldn’t be too hard, 2 flannels, 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels and a floor towel (they were also quite small), we had to call for replacements which always took quite a while.

but did not replace with clean ones meaning we had to call and request more.

I hope whoever cashed in on my ring can sleep well at night knowing that they took something from someone symbolic of over 15 years of marriage.

No conditioner in bathrooms never refilled throughout my stay, Nobody answers the phone at the front desk lines were a nightmare..

Like the towels, they phone call never came.

The man at the desk then just stopped responding and started looking at his phone, completely dismissing me.

I call front desk and they say: ok, I’ll make a note in the reservation.

I left three messages with their accounting/billing department and no one returned my call.

Fifteen minutes later, hair still wet, she rang down again and was again told it would be sent up immediately.

however, carpet was quite old, musty and quite dirty(stains, dust).

Second room was smaller with a filthy, unusable terrace.

I personally will never book this hotel again and my advice to anyone reading this is to do you homework on this property 
The hotel was not clean and the rooms where you spend time were filthy especially around the window and door frames, there was mild in the bathroom - needless to say, we left and didn’t stay in The Renwick

The smell in rooms not facing the street were very strong from restaurants nearby (one room was strong curry smell, one was noticeable deep fryer smell).

but the smell left would have tipped us off.

I get yo the room and I find a plastic bag around the smoke sensor and the room smelling really really bad.

Every inch of the room smelled like an ashtray. 2.

however, the room smelled (like cigarettes), carpet is stained and dirty, and the bathroom - a washcloth (with stains) from the previous occupant was not removed.

Sometimes the bedding seems poorly washed (scratchy, not fresh smelling, etc).

The restaurant which is sort of part of the hotel is very dark and smokey feeling - it’s ok for dinner

And the room smelled strongly of cigarettes.

There was a constant smell of food from downstairs along with the smell of an open fire.

A used notebook was left on one of the beds and for two nights they did not collect our overflowing rubbish bin which caused the odor of leftover food to fill up our room.

However the water from the tap did have a strong smell of disinfectant, so maybe they are right, BUT
the planet cannot survive like this.

It wasn't technically on their property, so they left it there all day. Disgusting.

It smelled like campfire or BBQ or wood chips and it NEVER went away.

Located in mid Manhattan with easy access to the subway from the historical Grand Central station, you can get just about anywhere.

Close to Grand Central Station, it is easy to access the subway and travel all over the town.

I selected the Renwick because of its proximity to Grand Central Station and thus not having to lug a roller bag too far.

This hotel is the ideal choice for a memorable and enjoyable stay near Grand Central Station.

The hotel is in a great location and easily accessible to Grand Central Station.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone as it’s close by to Grand Central Station and Chrysler Building, also in a very quiet part of NYC.

Perfect location right next to grand central station to get around town.

Only a few minutes walk from Grand Central station and there are also nearby bus stops so you have easy access to all of New York.

The staff are pleasant and helpful, and the location is ideal to see the sites; being less than 5 minutes walk from the stunning Grand Central Station, the Chrysler building and Vanderbilt Summit and not much more to Bryant Park and Time Square.

It's ideally situated near the Grand Central Station and Bryant Park, so close to plenty of subway lines.

It is a great location right near Grand Central station.

The location is a 10 minute walk to grand central station and very close to nice restaurants, Bryant park and the ferry to Brooklyn.

This hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants, and Grand Central Station.

It’s only a 5 minute walk to Grand Central Station, which we only used on one days as we mostly walked everywhere anyways.

Located centrically to many things like Rockefeller center - LEGO store, Times Square, MOMA, M&Ms store etc.

Jose M Alores was so helpful at the Herb N’ Kitchen cafe!

Team members who I’ll note are Dean C. (restaurant director), Guy M. (Head chef), Kim (front desk rep), and Noel P. (Hilton Club).

Jose’ M. Flores in Herb N Kitchen is wonderful, provides great service and is so attentive to anything you need to make your trip special.

Also the chicken pizza at the Herb and Kitchen that is run by Chef Guy M was delicious.

I visited Herb and Kitchen and was greeted each time with a big smile and hello from Jose  M. Flores.

Much appreciated the helpful staff at Herb n Kitchen, especially Jose M. Flores, always smiling and offering assistance when required.

Came by a few times during my stay and I have to give a big compliment to José M. Flores who works at Herb n' Kitchen!

I would like to commend Kristen C of the Front Desk, Kenna W, Senior Event Manager, and the ever cheerful and helpful folks of the Executive Lounge, who I interacted with daily in the morning and in the evenings such as:  Mercedes O, Eduardo R, Tomas S, Jose C, Daniel G, Gabriella M, Kim W, David M, Julio S, Guillermo S and Sarah.

Thank you Guy M at Herb N’ Kitchen for helping to accommodate my daughters food allergy!

We had a great night of drinks at Bridges and our server, Cynthia M. made the tastiest Manhattan I’ve had in a long time.

You also have to spend $10 per day in food shop which will get you a $4 soda and 2 bags of M&Ms ($2.25 per bag).

Want to give a special shout out to Chef Guy M. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Good place if you are runner, very close to central park.

The proximity to Central Park and a variety of Nee York destinations makes it a fabulous place to stay!

Location near Central Park can’t be beat.

Empire States building, Rockefeller centre and Central Park are within walking distance.

Walking distance to Central Park, MoMA and Times Square.

Location was perfect - having 4 children and being close to Central Park was great as we started the days by popping to a local Blue Bottle Coffee then for a run in the park!

I have really enjoyed the proximity of Central Park.

Really near to Central Park (about 500m) and even shorter to Fifth Avenue.

Great location too, a block a way from 5th ave, a block away from Times Square, about four blocks from Central Park and very close to the Rockefeller centre!

The location is excellent being near central park, several subway stations and a short walk from the main shopping areas.

When we arrived at the airport, I was charged $135 and my other daughter was charged $88, for the same trip, how could this happen if it is a ‘flat rate’.Also, we found our driver very rude as he was talking on his phone, in his language virtually the whole trip.

But the experience I had at this hotel is something that is not up to standard and I felt cheated with how much they charged for the room.

They Forgot to apply the $35 resort credit for 3 days. $105.

With the amount of service tip charged - I don’t need to pay extra for the rudeness.

When Ms. Carrington asked me for my identification, I presented my US military retired identification card.

This and the stupid $35 destination charge are too much for me.

The  daily destination charges are joke, and their food is overpriced I called for water 3 times only got it once.

What we were not aware off was that we were being charged a $35 ‘destination charge’.

Rooms smelled, elevators are slow, this hotel charged a $35 daily fee which was not mentioned before arrival.

She also came over to us at dinner with a handwritten card and chocolate cake with candles.

In regards to the destination charge, I have to admit I did not read the ‘small print’ hence I was not aware of the charge beforehand.

She just said no, and that we only had the daily food and beverage credit to use.

but they charge an outrageous $11 for 10 minutes of usage.

I was also told at that time that I would be charged an additional $30 as a standard "urban charge.

Even using the $35 worth of food +/or drinks that the daily added $30 Destination Charge includes, the food was not worth the price.

The destination fee of $35 per day is returned to you by way of credit that you can spend in the hotel bar/overpriced takeaway cafe,

Had we not been alerted to this charge there is no compounding it, if not used by midday it is lost.

Only downside was the additional charge, I thought it was just the $35 daily

First time ever I have been charged by a hotel 5$ a bag.

We have a beautiful view of the Empire State building and central Park I can never thank the hotel enough for the wonderful service that they gave us specially  Mei ,Mouctar, Mark and Ingrid at the front desk, who are very kind and made us feel like familyJose in the executive lounge and Yordanis the  beautiful hostess in the Executive Lounge who keeps her poise even if people are not nice to her, Jose fFlores  in herbs and kitchen, who is very efficient and always remembers us and greet us with a smile and Pena in Security who is so helpful .

Fab service at the hotel - special mention to Jose in the executive lounge.

Sharon, in the Executive Lounge was a wonderful hostess, always so helpful and full of smiles.

Great location with decent executive lounge (especially just to grab bottles of water & coffee).

But of all these, the best thing of all is Sharon H the Executives Lounge Hostess!

Sharon H., executive lounge hostess is the kindest and most professional hostess.

The executive lounge breakfast was fresh and decent quality.

I messed up my reservation (big annual meeting, very little room), and Serena C. (and her manager) managed to find me a room… and access to Executive Lounge.

My FAVORITE is the amazing executive lounge hostess, Sharon.

Pros - great location and executive lounge was never full so great to get a peaceful drink after hours of NYC madness.

She made sure to put both couples in SkyView rooms and give us complimentary access to the Executive Lounge for the duration of our stay.

I recommend the Executive Lounge for stays at the Hilton Midtown.

The executive lounge is a great addition and they offered gluten free options for breakfast, which was a bonus.

The executive lounge lacks of alcoholic drinks, they can be bought at the bar.

We upgraded to allow access to the Executive lounge which gave us free breakfast, (non alcoholic) drinks and snacks which was great for the kids.

Staff very helpful and special thanks to the older guys working the executive lounge.

Sharon in the executive lounge was amazing.

I am a well-traveled Hilton member and this is the best experience I have ever had at a Hilton.

We are current Diamond owners and are now expected to give Hilton $11,500 as a minimal amount to have the honor to use Hilton.

but went to Hilton Honors check in and got room right away although it was noon.

I am Hilton Diamond and have been for many years.

I had really rough time with the reservation, and he helped me very professionally to make pleasant stay in Hilton honors hotel.

Executive lounge was clean and served a basic, convenient, and consistent menu fare for Hilton Honors qualifying guests.

We have Hilton diamond membership which allows us to use the executive lounge.

I am a Hilton Diamond member and I wouldn’t stay here again even if you paid me.

This is the most tired room I have ever stayed in and I am a Hilton diamond member.

It is people such as this that keeps me loyal to Hilton (diamond member).

My husband is a platinum Hilton member, so we have complimentary breakfast s at  the executive lounge.

I’m a loyal Hilton fan and on a trip to New York with my brother I chose here.

We got upgraded due to my friend being a diamond Hilton member.

I’m a Hilton Honours member and use Hilton Hotels often around the globe.

Consequently we are Hilton Honors guests and enjoy the benefits that come with it.

I am a Hilton Honors member and very proud of that as we usually search out and seek Hilton Hotels before anything else.

My husband and I, both Hilton Honors Members and Hilton Grand Vacation Owners, took our twin grandchildren to NYC from April 4-7th, 2023 (we flew in from Atlanta, Georgia).

As Hilton Diamond members, we were able to go to the executive lounge on the main floor some evenings for free drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

I have been a Hilton diamond member for almost 10 years.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS GROSS PLACE AT ALL COSTS 

oh and to also mention there was tiny bugs crawling round in the bathroom and stains on the bed sheets.

So, if you don’t want to get ripped off like I did, make sure you confirm a price before you travel.

but so is most of Manhattan $45 for breakfast, $12 for a small wine, $13 for a beer (not even a pint) a dried up chicken burger with a small bowl of Crisps was $18 there is no need for the hotel to be that expensive when the food quality for not up to that price.

You get $35 to spend daily due to destination fee and we used it to get breakfast (since breakfast at the executive lounge is literally just carbs).

Otherwise, the rooms were musky, outdated, and overpriced.

When I needed to add a night, I called to modify my reservation for 3 to alleviate the cost of the additional night.

Never coming back here and would not recommend this place to other for the price.

Too expensive when there are so many other options!

We probably would have purchased more if the prices weren't through the roof!!

The worst and one of most expensive Hilton I ever stayed.

I am very disappointed with the 'mandatory resort fee' of $30 per day, which feels like an utter rip-off.

WHEN WE CALLED THE DESK THEY SAID WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR ONE AND THAT IT WOULD COST $35 PER DAY.

I am giving this hotel one star because of the $40 resort fee (or whatever they call it now).
