The mattress was also extremely soft and sinking in the middle.

The room was clean and comfortable with good beds and bedding.

We had a super comfortable king bed, a roman shower (how cool) and ample k-cups & cream to enjoy our morning coffees.

Staff is so friendly and accommodating, room (King) was immaculate and very well-appointed.

The rooms have been newly renovated and look absolutely amazing. I was extremely satisfied with the: Decor, quite and calm aura, spacious room, comfortable bed, and bathroom (especially the shower which was my favorite.)

Anyway, on our next visit to Brooklyn, we'll be paying extra for parking in a different hotel because I feel that management is only interested in hosting parties in this place.

Called down to the front desk several times and the young girl had no idea what to do other than to text her manager and ask him to turn down the music.

The management tolerated all night partying, loud music and shouting from the balconies.

I asked to be comped the night and was told I’d have to speak to the manager the next day.

I was immediately contacted by a manager after submitting the review and told I would be offered a “discounted rate next time because of the inconvenience" experienced.

It is a shame that such a nice hotel and staff are ruined by a very poor and lousy management!

The manager personally called my brother and followed up with an email to discuss his room since his favorite was not available due to renovations.

At check out the next day, we asked for contact info for the manager.

The reception staff were at times plain rude and this was reported to management who did apologise afterwards

Management is awful and cares less about their customers.

And was placed on, no joke, a 43 minute hold while the "manager" talked to mini bar stocker.

We spoke with the general manager who helped us reserve two rooms and on the same floor which I assumed must have been hard considering it was last minute

When I had not heard anything by early morning I called for the manager, who returned my call within minutes.

We asked her to please notify management of the incident,

I have asked for a response for 3 weeks and have heard nothing from management.

However when we checked in we overheard a conversation between a customer and the manager that seemed to indicate that she was charged a different price than what she was quoted.

Imagine my surprise when I found out it was the general manager herself.

), and signs warning customers that there was no partying allowed.

Over the past 3 years they have worked VERY hard at keeping noisy patrons with drugs, weed & loud parties out of the hotel.

Kept up all night by loud music and a party.

However, over the months, we noticed increasing loud music and partying throughout the night.

All these party guests had to walk right past her to get up to the six floor and she allowed it

but it is loud and the fan fluctuates all night.

My upstairs neighbors were having sex so loud it was truly ridiculous.

When on our first night we were disturbed by loud music coming from another room, I called the front desk.

The walls are paper thin and the fist night there appeared to be a party in the room across the hall from me and people going up and down the stairs all night (the stair door was right next to me).

At first the heater in our room was very, very loud,

It was my understanding that this is a bit of a  trick that they play on unsuspecting guests.

That being said - unless you completely turn the lights off in the stall and use the facilities in the dark, your entire party can see your entire silhouette as you sit or stand in front of the toilet.

But as we found out in the middle of the night, up for an hour with loud music and crashing going on next door, it is indeed a party hotel at times.

Our last visit was marred somewhat by loud noise coming from a couple rooms on our floor (#4).

My two-day weekend stay was colored by very loud (party loud) people in the adjoining room.

When the next door neighbor came they were loud 
and it sounded like they were in our room.

The drunks next door were kinda loud (we could hear every word they spoke),

The door to the balcony didn't open. There was no in-room minibar whatsoever- I had to call down for whatever I wanted, which is fine, except I was told that there was no more alcohol (ANY alcohol) because "they had just gone through the last of it the previous night."

-	Every day we had to call, ask for towels and then go downstairs to the front desk and get them.

No ice machines on floor (you have to call, wait, and tip).

The phone was ringing and it seemed like she was on here own so I kind  of get it,

- *I ring front desk* “My breakfast order is wrong.

I was the second to complain and by the time of my call they had already sent someone to deal with it.

but my shower had a prominent mold ring all the way around where the grout should be.

but I was told they could fix that with a simple phone call, so if you have this issue don't hesitate to complain!

I asked to confirm an early arrival for 1pm because of the Sabbath starting at 3:30pm and instead of accommodating, the manager (who would not return a phone call) said to charge full price for the night before.

It was a woman in next room talking moderately loudly on her cell phone- not shouting.

but everything was for 2, we had to call for additional things.

(One of the desk staff said she planned to create a user guide because they get so many calls from guests unable to figure it out.)

90 minutes later, reservations missed, Wife calls, gets profuse apologies for not getting a call as the boiler is repaired.

While a couple of calls to the front desk improved the noise, it was there all weekend, and I gave up and endured it after the calls.

It didn't last long so I didn't have to call the front desk. like.

but she seems to be "on the Phone" every time I try to call.

An email that I wrote to the general manager for information a few days before our arrival went unanswered, and, once we had arrived, most of our comings and goings went unacknowledged by the front desk.

My husband and I took one look at the room, walked out and stayed at the nearby Ace Hotel where we had a magnificent, clean, and calming experience for the same price point.

The rooms are actually very well designed and attractive,

The rooms were much bigger than I thought and beautifully decorated.

Overflow from a family gathering created the need for a few more rooms and this was perfect.

We had the top category of room and it was spacious.

They have a fully un-stocked mini bar in the room.

The hotel rooms are very beautiful and love the theme BLUE would definitely recommend this hotel thanks .

I have stayed in many hotels, and I have never been in a hotel that reeked of pot, from the lobby all the way to my room.

We stayed there recently…room was very clean…but an overwhelming small of weed the entire time we were there that permeated our room.

Checked out early and booked a nice room at the downtown Marriott.

The room reeks like an ashtray to a point that I can’t sleep.

Our room was cleaned very well prior to our stay, and because of the extent of our stay, we simply did an exchange of towels outside of our room, as well as garbage drop off.

I'll start with the good: the staff was lovely and professional and the location was excellent for being accessible to places in Park Slope.

There is no food credit or any other benefits for a Hilton Gold member.

There are two outlets in the bathroom, two outlets and a smart phone charger on each side of the bed,  four outlets on the wall by the desk and two international  outlets and a smartphone charged attached to tthe table lamp.

Just tap your credit card to enter--so easy!

As they do not charge your card ahead of time which I prefer.

but i had no idea why my hilton card was frozen as potential fraud when she had to try repeatedly to obtain a room, and we were told breakfast was free, when actually breakfast was approx.

I was pleased to find that there was no resort fee at this hotel, just an incidental deposit of $50 a night which is then refunded when you leave if no incidentals were charged.

The manager removed my breakfast charge as I had to leave before getting a complete meal and I was there for quite a while.

Because a month ago I had deactivated the card used for the booking due to fraud charges.

Did get charged 10.00 a day more than posted on site for parking (50.00 a day instead of 40.00).

but the misinformation by the hotel front desk cost us an unexpected charge at the end of our trip.

But at the end of my journey I remarked that the hotel debited an undue sum of 884,48 Eur on my credit card.

On the security from while the financial district is pretty safe, ANYONE not appearing to be homeless could walk in st night without using their key card or being verified by the front desk staff.

The only issue I had was that I was overcharged $100 for my stay, and I had great difficultly getting the manager to call back.

I was overcharged on two separate occasions.

Thank you, may I have your ID and credit card, thank you for being a Hilton honors gold member, here's your keys".

but the charge still seemed waaay higher than it should have been.

As we spent only one night and it was very late we decided to warn the front desk the next day when we were leaving (the person in charge was very attentive).

However, anyone can understand how much of an inconvenience this was considering that I was overseas and my cards were drained due to the incompetency of the hotel staff.

Staff at HGI Financial center were friendly, professional and very helpful - a real credit to Mark Dacres (the Guest Service manager) and his team.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were received by smiles and friendly faces.

Friendly customer service, great location, and an overall pleasant ambiance.

The very friendly lady at the front desk confirmed my request for an early check-in, which allowed me to shower off the tiredness of traveling.

Thus hotel is a real a gem the staff here are the most welcoming, helpful , friendly and professional in particular the Front Office and Housekeeping team is outstanding .The rooms are modern immaculately cleaned.

Ameena, An and Nicky were so helpful and friendly.

I have tried a few other hotels in the Mid Town/Lower Manhattan area and found nothing similar until now - HGI Financial Center is a Gem in the lower Manhattan area - Hotel is located centrally to everything you need (including the excellent Fraunces Tavern and other bars within walking distance, the subway is a few minutes walk and the Staten Island Ferries are 2 mins away) and some great food places too.

Hotel is located on the water in the financial district, very close to Staten Island Ferry, Battery Park, Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn bridge.

We stayed here on the weekend to visit fiends, what I liked more was the location as you can do plenty of things just walking around.

The location is absolutely perfect for a getaway.

We stayed at this location for five nights and we truly loved our stay.

Location was across from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

This Hilton Garden Inn was located in a fairly convenient location relative to getting around the city.

This  hotel is in a prime location in lower Manhattan FiDi.

Clean and Quiet room, decent space, great location and great staff.

The location is perfect for access to Ferry terminal's.And there's a nice variety of really good dining close by.When I get a chance to come back for a vacation I will be staying here.

Amazing location, easy/ close access to train stations.

The hotel is in the perfect location, right across the street from Battery Park and the Staten Island Ferry.

Shower curtain was stained, sink didn’t drain, light bulbs out around the mirror, some tiles missing around the floor.

Only issue was some other guest smoking in a nearby room, smell also in my room.

Unfortunately my room was stinking of stale smoke yet I expected anon smoking room.

There were lots of riff raff hanging around outside drinking and smoking weed being loud.

No bad smells, no ugly carpets or rear stains.

When I got into bed the comforter smelled like sweat.

but I didn't see or smell any mildew during our stay.

It needs work - the pre cooked pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, and potatoes were all soggy and the toast was a bit stale.

Just around the corner You will find small bars with a local scent.

We knew this because of stains in the same spot and still being damp..

There were also some weird smells (kind of musty) on the 18th floor where I had to go to get ice.

The restaurant food and breakfast was excellent, credit to Joab the Chef and his team.

Courteous staff, clean hotel and room, hotel in great condition.

Everyone (no exception) was so helpful and kind.

but the “1” train is right near the hotel, and that will pretty much drop you off near any kind of tourist stop you might need.

These weren't enough to warrant pointing it out immediately to the staff who might have someone clean the room, and I particularly didn't really care enough to consider asking for a different room.

But that was fine cause it was new york and there were multiple cabs a block away at the staten island ferry terminal.

Staten Island ferry and Statue of Liberty tours are next door.

My older son especially liked being able to walk to Starbucks every morning in the Staten Island ferry station.

My room was very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean, the towels were far better than average, and I had a view of the East River and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

Battery Park, the ferries to Governor's Island and Staten Island were only a short distance away.

What a joy to find that we had sweeping views of the harbor and Staten Island Ferry.

The location was super convenient with 3 metro stops, buses and the Staten Island Ferry just steps away along with plenty of nice restaurants, bars and convenience stores.

There is a subway stop across from the hotel and the Ferries across to Liberty Island and Staten Island are close-by too.

Staten Island ferry station is just across the street.

The room we extremely functional with an absolutely incredible 29th floor  view of the harbor overlooking the Staten Island ferry.

Staten Island Ferry is across the street, and NYC Ferry lines (South Street Seaport) are a short walk away.

The hotel is located across the street from the Staten Island Ferry; you have access to several subway connections & buses.

not only was the location perfect for me and my worksites located either in Queens or on Staten Island,

It’s a short 15 min walk to Oculus for great dining and Nobu is another restaurant nearby I highly recommend.

It was so quiet and peaceful to come back to after a long day of walking around NYC.

Also its 15 mins walk to south street seaport where there are tons of outdoor restaurant , bars , concert venues etc.

not too far from the subway, south ferry is 2 minutes walk away.

A short walk to the waterfront, several excellent restaurants, and the subway.

It's also near a masseuse that I highly recommended in a review I posted just a little while back - which is a plus to unwind all those tight muscles from walking around all day.
