The Bourbon O bar has a great relaxed vibe and delicious cocktails for winding down the night (or just getting started) with live musicians.

The pool looked very inviting last night and the jazz coming from Bourbon O sounded great too.

Bourbon O Bar is a great place to relax and listen to jazz.

On a better note,
the lobby was gorgeous, and the Bourbon O Bar has become my favorite upscale bar in NOLA.

Your local hotel bar (Bourbon O) will have the freshest drinks and the best jazz!

Bourbon O Bar is get for a drink at the beginning and end of night with great signature drinks.

I think my favorite part of the hotel was the Bourbon O bar downstairs.

There is also a great bar, The Bourbon O, on the first floor of the hotel.

The staff at The Roux on Orleans, The Bourbon O and The Pelican (all part of the hotel) are outstanding no matter how busy they were.

The hotel also has its own bar, The Bourbon O Bar, with live jazz every night.

The pool is a nice respite from the heat and the Bourbon O bar has great live jazz.

And Dominique the security guard at the Bourbon O bar who was our personal tour guide.

Rooms are nice and well equipped, pool area was clean and the Bourbon O was a nice place to have a drink and listen to some great music and chat.

It is a few steps away from great restaurants, galleries, antique stores, you name it, It is is close by.

The hotel was cozy, smelled lovely, and had a historic touch.

This historic French Quarter hotel is not only beautiful

Despite all of the above, the room was quiet, spacious and clean.

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and you cannot beat the location, situated behind the Cathedral and between Royal and Bourbon.

In the heart of the city, the Bourbon Orleans is an amazing location,

The music in the bar is incredible as was my breakfast at Roux.

When we asked her about the haunted history, she took us on a tour of the ballroom and showed us pictures of previous sightings,
One feature of the hotel that was a huge bonus was the large bar where they have amazing jazz bands playing nightly til midnight.

The Bourbon O Bar has really upped the live music offerings since our last visit, with music every night, and some great bands.

There is a nice bar right at the hotel that you can sit, have a drink and listen to Jazz.

The live music in the bar area was also a huge plus.

Recommend going to a play at the Petite Theatre, and a jazz session at Preservation Hall.

Don't miss out of the hidden hotel bar tucked away with outstanding jazz!

And if you know New Orleans and the quality of the live music in the French Quarter, you know how impressive that is.

Everything was very comfortable, I have to say that the music in the bar/ lounge was top notch and I wish I could spend a few more nights.

but, we only visited the on site jazz bar, which was great.

Places we went while there were Ruby Slipper cafe for breakfast, Willies Chicken for a quick bite, Tropical Isle for Hand Grenades, Pat Obriens for Hurricanes,  The Italian Barrell for a nice Italian dinner, Hunkomania for the men of course, Cafe Fleur De Lis for breakfast, Cafe Dumonde for beignets, The Aquarium for a nice day date , the Blue Nile for live music, the 30/90 club to dance ,  Bourbon Heat to dance , Saints and Sinners to throw beads off the balcony, The Country Club for a drag brunch,  Flamingo a Go Go for dinner

It’s centrally located - open your balcony and hear jazz playing and few the vibrance.

New Orleans comes with a deep, complicated history, wonderful music on nearly every block in the Quarter, enchanting architecture, a great sculpture garden, heavenly food—and coffee!

The breakfast was delicious, and the Bourbon O bar has some of the best live music in town!

The music was every night until 11:30–12:00 midnight.

Second time here for the Jazz and Blues festival!

Our bellman David was exceptionally helpful with arranging our transportation to and from Jazz Fest.

Of all the things wrong with my room (#339), the shower head fell off in mid-shower.

We have been able to stay in the same room every time which is the room we stayed in when we got married.

Plus excellent staff, good sized rooms and a great bar and restaurant make this my favorite location in NOLA.

He even came up to see if I liked the room.

Rooms comfy and quiet even with street noise.

The staff are all nice and helpful, and the rooms are great!

Room was extremely uncomfortable, including couch, bed and other amenities.

We did 5 double rooms and one bourbon balcony room.

Upon arrival, glitter was still riddled throughout the downstairs of the hotel room.

I've stayed at average chain hotels for 1/3 of the price,and the room and amenities are as good or better.

Some of the basic rooms are very small so pay attention to what room you are reserving.

The rooms were a little on the small side

but our room was small and had an alley view.

Our queen room was very tiny, old school NYC tiny.

We have stayed in other hotels like the Omni on Royal and Maison Dupuy and their rooms are small.

The rooms are small, with the cheapest coffee maker (it just boils water, so you have to use instant coffee or bags).

Room was tiny, no soap, shampoo dispenser was empty, no power outlets.

Basic room is small, some with no view except brick wall so ask if that’s important to you.

We took our trash out to find the gentlemen cleaning out empty room since we also only have two small trash cans.

Rooms very small and beds were a real problem.

The room was small and smelt mildly of mold, and the windows can't be opened.

Light bulbs burned out, empty kleenex dispenser, one out of two bottles of complimentary water had the seal already broken.

but actual peeling and shoddy fixes have contributed to a less than impressive musty look.

I’m hoping the renovations improve the quality as this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, including light fixtures with compact fluorescent bulbs that swivel and can burn you, and marble table tops, that aren’t attached to the stands.

Our mini-fridge CAUGHT ON FIRE and was smoking when we woke up one morning.

First room we were given was disgusting- there were visible fresh “bodily fluids” on the sheets and comforter - Immediately asked to be moved and upgraded - AC never worked in our replacement room.

Some strange people stay in the hotel( with suspicious hygiene as well);  try to use their own music at the pool, smoke, dive in the pool.

3 star hotel at best; the whole place smells a bit damp.

You can see it has all these small accents in the rooms like the crown molding and shutter windows.

It was so stale as to be completely inedible.

but not when it makes the hotel a production room, filthy, messy, noisy and again-the hotel does not acknowledge it.

The not so great:-

- the rooms had an unpleasant smell our entire stay
- the price of breakfast was ridiculous - consequently I never saw anyone in there!

I am still washing clothes to get the smell out “your guess”.

They painted the hall while we were there and the fumes were quite strong, we were not notified of when they would be painting.

This city and everything about it is way overrated, it's rundown, filthy, crowded with a horrid decomposing smell that is nauseating.

Be sure to stop and talk with the staff, you will be glad you did.

Asia and her entire staff are so welcoming and accommodating.

The staff was super attentive and kind while staying here.

Jacci was very helpful and a delight to talk to.

It seemed like that was the goal of every employee there.

The thing that made the difference for us was the staff.

Staff was always very helpful and prompt.

He was working the front desk and I saw him most of the days I was there.

Our breakfasts were very tasty, and the carousel bar is well worth a visit if you can find a seat.

The lobby always seems busy as does the Carousel Bar.

Easy to get a seat at Carousel bar and great service.

We stopped in at the Carousel bar and of course that place was busy, my friends and i grabbed a cute little table to grab a few drinks.

The carousel bar looks cool, unlikely you will be able to sit there.

He was also our tour guide if you will at the iberville tower cocktail experience at the carousel bar (lauren was our bartender, and just another testament to the service of the hotel!).

but, sitting in the Carousel Bar, each with a with a Vieux Carre in our hand, will remain right up there with the best of them) where we stayed until Sunday!

Special shout-out to Earl, who manages the beautiful 16th floor rooftop bar.

There is an excellent restaurant and bar in the hotel.

This spot is a well-kept secret--just happened to stumble upon both the pool and the poolside bar while going to an event during our stay.

I did it this time mainly for the one thing listed as “early admission to the Carousel Bar”.

We decided to skip the madness of Bourbon Street on a Saturday night and instead enjoyed an excellent jazz band in the hotel's famous carousel bar.

Service was great, the pillows really fluffy and a great bar.

Wonderful stay and a special shout out to Earl, Kihya and Alberto for the incredible service at the spectacular rooftop pool and bar.

but there is another bar right behind it and the bartender was amazing.

The hotel provided us some complimentary drink tickets to the Carousel Bar, which was a really nice touch.

The Carousel Bar is really unique and a must do in NOLA.

Given the choice, and, the opportunity, I always choose to stay at "historic" Hotels, and, being family owned, this one is even more special!

Hotel is a historic treat in itself in a community where most of the large hotels have all the historic charm of a Super 8.

Nestled in the heart of New Orleans, this historic gem offers an experience.

The hotel itself is a fabulous historic hotel in the midst of the French Quarter-easy walking distance to many clubs, restaurants, museums and other attractions.

Beautiful, historic location--close and easy walks to Rue de Bourbon, Conti, great food and restaurants both within the restaurant and nearby.

Although historic and lovely, the hotel is a tourist attraction.

It’s moments away by foot from raucous Bourbon Street (2 minutes), historic Preservation Hall (6 minutes), Jackson Square (7 minutes), the steamboat dock on the Mississippi (8 mins) and no more than 20 minutes walk to the wonderful Frenchmen Street in the bohemian Faubourg-Marigny district.

With family in New Orleans, I have visited the historic French Quarter hotel since the 1990s.

The interior of the hotel was amazing and historic.

Hotel Monteleone is a classic hotel, and a fantastic place to stay.

This is an iconic, beautiful, classic New Orleans hotel that is well worth visiting!

The restaurant is really classy, with great prices for just good food.

Given the choice, I would always opt for a historic hotel like this over a brand new high-rise, as it offers a unique and memorable experience.

It is also a great location - in the French quarter a stone's throw from Bourbon street (though the hotel's sedate location in Royal St with its galleries and antiques shops in stark contrast to the rowdiness of Bourbon), Jackson Sq and Canal Street (where you easily catch the streetcar to The Garden District).

The staff is all friendly, especially the doormen.

He was SO knowledgeable and attentive and friendly.

The staff is incredibly friendly and rightfully proud of their hotel.

Kathy and Hector were so friendly and welcoming, their service was great.

Incredibly friendly lady named Kathy served me in the restaurant bright and early at 6:30am.

Service was outstanding and they were both very friendly and conversational.
