We also spent some time at the Bourbon O Bar which is conveniently attached to the hotel.

Enjoyed the bar and the jazz bands a lot.

The parlor was a separate room that had a couch, a 2nd television, a 4 seat dining table and a bar area.

The hotel is located in a great place and the adjacent bar staff was very nice

Friday night, after enjoying cocktails on the balcony, we ventured out and went to some of our old school “go to’s” like Pat O’Briens Courtyard and the Piano Bar, The Old Absinthe House, and even stepped over to The Carousel Bar.

The room and hotel was very clean and the Bourbon O Bar was connected to the hotel.

After having dinner and wondering around the Quarter, we enjoyed coming back to the hotel bar.

We had a great buffet breakfast and the Sazeracs in the hotel bar were as good or better than any we found in New Orleans.

Having said that, I must rave about the bar staff; the most professionally crafted cocktails I have ever had.

In addition, the bar staff, Andrew, Aimee and Seth were very welcoming which added to the ambience!

We loved the hotel and the bar and the staff.

Why did the hotel not NOTIFY US that our 2night stay at an “expensive, lovely hotel” was going to be like 2 nights at a construction site???

Downtown where the Hard Rock hotel construction mess is about 15 min walk.

We parked our car with the Valet and were warned it may take 45 minutes (instead of the usual 15) to retrieve it back to the hotel due to construction in the French Quarter.

Oh, and during the day there’s heavy street construction on this side as well.

Note there is sidewalk construction going on on Bourbon in front of the hotel so do not consider paying the extra 100 for a bourbon view balcony until you confirm the construction is over.

Although, the streets around the hotel are under construction.

however when construction is covering the entire street below and work begins at 6AM we were not pleased.

The hotel really needs to be renovated   The bathrooms were not very clean  Construction was being done so there was a poor view outside a lot of jack hammering during day and dust blowing dirt Road was closed front of hotel   Some redecorating and changing outside doors and terrace would help immensly

Except for the road construction works next to hotel entrance, and the drunk young people wondering Bourbon street  where the hotel is located.

Also, Bourbon Street was under major construction.

In addition, construction started at 8 am until quitting time each day.

but your in house reservations did not tell me that there was major construction on bourbon street if i had been told i would have never taken that room ALSO THERE WERE BITING BUGS IN THE BED i have stayed in your hotel three times and have always been happy this trip was very bad and aS IT STANDS RIGHT NOW I WILL NOT COME BACK

Bourbon street construction beyond the hotels control.

The only problem we had was the construction equipment just outside our window every morning starting at 6 am.

but they should have told us the street was under construction.

although there was major construction on the corner of Orleans & Bourbon that I wish I knew about BUT the sounds didn’t bother me too much.

Also, no one bothered to tell me Bourbon Street has been under construction for over two years and the street in front of this hotel is closed.

Current construction on Bourbon street makes the hotel hard to get to right now.

There was a lot of construction downtown during our stay which affected the trolley lines and walking through Bourbon Street

Note: During our stay Parts of bourbon street were under construction outside the hotel which contributed to some complications outside hotel control

We had our room on a higher floor and didn't have any issues with the elevator wait time.

If you are older or have mobility issues, you may want to keep in mind that the hotel is basically a square with a courtyard in the middle with one set of elevators at one corner by the lobby.

When I asked to be relocated, to something closer to  the elevator I was told that hotel was sold out and all rooms were taken.

Syated on the 6th floor, immediateoly adjacent to the elevator.

Had to use the staff elevator as many others had to do also.

The Bourbon Orleans elevator is located at one end of a somewhat circular layout of rooms so depending on your room location, you may encounter a LONG walk from the elevator to your room.

Due to the location of our room, it was easier and faster to use the staff elevator which isn't much to look at. The hotel staff suggest its use and their signage states "temporarily for guest use."

Seems like the elevators are old and with so many people they were experiencing some problems running at times.

The lobby was emaculate, the elevators were constantly broken, the hallways had fans in them

even though my room was paid prior, food nasty,  elevators not working ,  horrible experience!!

Some upkeep to mattresses and elevator are needed

We requested an interior pool facing room away from stairs and elevators.

We appreciated the security in the hotel as someone is always at the front door later in the evening and you have to use your room key to summon the elevator - not just to access your floor.

There are some signs of wear in the hallway rugs and elevators,

You had to have room keys to get into hotel at night and to use elevators.

But even before we could get our luggage to the proper person to store, they found a room for us, and being right near the staff elevator, we used this for our visit (not fancy,

but the rooms are small and the elevators are very small and there is not enough of them.

Had to walk all the way around every single hallway from elevators every time I wanted to come or go from the room.

Super safe, you have to use your room key to get in elevator.

The one problem I had with my balcony was fixed almost immediately.

They said that we were charged twice and they would fix it.

Oh and hey housekeeping, fix the in-room coffee machine that was missing parts for our stay.

but the indemand still didn't work- we received a call-saying they were working on it-and never heard another word about it- and never was fixed--I didn't like that nothing was done-and there wasn't any follow up at all.

It took hours before they sent maintenance to fix the door, we had just gone to bed when at now 11pm they show up to fix the door.

There was a severe noise in the bathroom that after maintenance could fix, I was moved rooms.

The toilet was about to overflow so the gentleman fixed it with a plunger then proceeded to walk into the carpeted area of the room with the dripping plunger.

Called the front desk when we first arrived to be told they would fix it and yet the toilet refiled a few minutes later the toilet refill. ..

Called the desk 3 times to report with always the promise that it would be fixed.

After two nights having my sleep interrupted, I complained to management, and apparently it was finally fixed.

but after 3 hours I came back and nothing was being fixed.

The worker that fixed the door was extremely hateful and rude as was the maid.

All that said, if these few cleanliness issues were fixed, I would return for another stay, knowing to bring earplugs!

but I’m not sure that can be fixed and it didn’t happen enough to keep me from returning.

but need to fix the thermostat in Room 241.

This is where I stay whenever I come to the French Quarter.

I could hear the sounds of the French Quarter and could see the fun from my balcony!

Location was good for seeing the French Quarter by walking.

The location cannot be beat, perfect landing spot for the French quarter.

Right in the heart of the French Quarter and steps away from Jackson Square and Bourbon street.

It’s extremely convenient to everything in the French Quarter and easy to find.

We couldn't have picked a better location to enjoy exploring the French Quarter.

I recently planned a mini corporate event and I was down to two hotels in the French Quarter.

We also liked the great location for this hotel, only about a block from the St. Louis Cathedral in the heart of the French Quarter.

It is literally in the heart of the French Quarter across from the St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square and on the corner of Bourbon St.

The hotel is walking distance from most points of interest in the French Quarter; it's between Jackson Square and Bourbon Street.

Would recommend anyone wanting to visit the French Quarter to stay in New Orleans and take a taxi to the French Quarter.

For me the Bourbon Orleans Hotel is in the best possible place for the French Quarter.

Centrally located in the French Quarter so you're right in the middle of everything.

Bourbon Orleans is located in the midst of the French Quarter, and has the nicest people on staff!

Perfect location and friendly, helpful staff.

From the valet to the housecleaning staff, everyone was friendly & immediately accommodating.

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.

They were incredible, friendly, attentive to each customer as well as professional.

Checking in was completely smooth and Linda was super friendly and helpful and so was the other staff members we got the suite that has a upstairs bedroom it was beautiful great for 2 -4 people and this was for our anniversary so I loved it!

1st time & 1st day  here we're staying at Bourbon Orleans 3 days & if our stay is as nice as the ladies in valet, the guy that bought our luggage up & best of all Linda who check Us in was so nice, friendly,  helpful if the rest of their staff is like them then we'll stay all 7 days here.

From Curtis, our super energetic and friendly valet; Linda at the desk who was very informative, helpful, and had a courteous demeanor; Marquis, who helped my Uber Eats driver get to the lobby (and kept me company with the sweetest stories of his young son); Demond, was an angel that sprinted to get silverware for me that the Uber Eats driver forgot, and all of the other employees who we encountered and had the great pleasure of meeting and making our 10th Anniversary so happy and special to us!

The staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

As for the staff… front desk was efficient and bellman was friendly.

We were excited about being in New Orleans and when we were greeted by Monique at the front desk she reinforced that with her friendly and welcoming smile.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.

We stayed 6 nights and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly.

We had breakfast in the newly renovated Roux and we must also mention our server, Pam, who was also quite hospitable, friendly and helpful with some great inside tips when we told her our day's plans.

First let me say our room was great, and staff was so friendly and helpful.

Close to Jackson Square, Cafe du Monde, riverboat cruises, and the fascinating shops on Royal Street, I felt it was ideal for my two night escape traveling alone.

There is a Rouses market around the corner where we can get water, food, snacks, even fresh veggies etc at reasonable price.

From very warm welcomes, grabbing our bags out of the taxi and just good southern hospitality❤️ Check In and Asia H was phenomenal very informative helpful and even suggested very good restaurants.

Both she and Kenny recommended restaurants, and places to see.

This hotel is also in a prime location and minutes away from shops and restaurants.

Linda at the front desk was a pleasure and helped us get reservations at very popular restaurant as well as book us a gator tour.

You are right in the middle of all the fun, live bands, and great food.

You are located between Bourbon & Royal St.  Riverside Walk, Decatur Ave (Cafe Du Monde, Shops, Jackson Square), Canal St, and so much just a are a short walk away.

Enjoyed going to St Patrick’s Day Parade on Decatur, did the Hop on Bus and liked for getting a feel for things, haunted carriage ride was fun, great food in NO.

We had a early flight, we were going to check bags and have lunch.

Love the jazz vibes, creole and Cajun tasty restaurants.

The door crew were fantastic - always smiling and with plenty of tips for places to go and restaurants to try, everyone made us feel very welcome - we loved it!

On this visit I also went to the restaurant (Roux) for the first time.

That's why rooms have a "Do Not Disturb" feature.

We walked EVERYWHERE because it was so close and never once felt scared or nervous, even after dark, despite some of the reviews with warnings in crime spikes.

Hotel has been stonewalling us in issuing a refund, I've spent hours with Priceline for a refund and it is still ongoing.

Halfway to New Orleans we get a call from someone at the Bourbon Orleans stating they have good news and bad news about our reservation.

We had no "do not disturb" sign and had to ask a few times.

Disappointed in maid service-we had two bottles of empty champagne bottles with dirty glasses that were there the entire duration of our trip- never were removed.

This is just a note of warning and has nothing to do with the hotel's responsibility.

I then got an email stating that we were only booked to stay one extra night not two.

Adding insult to injury, because our street was closed the service trucks (ie; garbage pickup and street cleaning) had to back down from the next block at 4 AM and 6 AM and the associated beep/beep warning was maddening to a light sleeper .

1 warning: balcony rooms are LOUD (street noise) during the night so pack ear plugs. However, the pool is beautiful, the location is incredible(!)

Warning:  If you face Bourbon Street, you will hear late night noise,

We spent a total of four nights in the room with no sign of scary and perhaps just a little "exciting".

While I expected noisy booking a hotel in the center of the action, I didn't expect a balcony door with no real seal on it facing a second story bar blasting club music, it was incredibly loud and could have easily been reduced with proper planning on the door or if not there should be some sort of warning.

Disappointing that hotel staff did not act to remove these guests.

but the rooms facing the street should have an explicit health warning that if you want to sleep on Friday or Saturday you shouldn't take these rooms.

The hotel well maintained (though a few of the older double queen rooms could use a deep carpet cleaning/replacement to remove some lingering older aromas where no smoking was ignored).

It would have been nice to receive notice earlier,

Building old and historically opulent in public spaces, less so in guest rooms which show signs of wear and tear.

Both ladies went out of their way to assist & should receive a raise.

The icing on top was Mrs Dee behind the counter she was so helpful!

This was a really fabulous hotel, awesome staff

but it was the staff that really made it great.

The front desk clerk Asia was very helpful and accommodating ready to ensure we were happy will our stay!

The hotel's key card system was not adequate to show that someone had entered my room.

Was here for a reunion and the front desk wanted to charge a fee to deliver the welcome packets. Huh?

Just a note every restaurant in New Orleans requires your Covid vaccination card to enter the establishment.

Also, for security purposes they should update their security measures on elevators by having access to use the elevators by key card only.

Hopefully, during this renovation, the elevators with be modified to require key card access.

Found out yesterday I was charged for the room twice!

To be charged $40 per night for parking and then have these problems is not worth the risk of being late to important events.

We had a three way conversation with Amex and a Monteleone manager.

A slight snafu popped up on my credit card and the Hotel Monteleone Reservations Manager took care of it right away.

When we entered our room, we found that the Monteleone had gone so far as to upgrade our room without our requesting an upgrade and inside we found a handwritten card congratulating us, two VIP passes to the Carousel Bar downstairs, and a king suite with the most incredible views of New Orleans we could have ever even asked for!

I booked via AMEX and the hotel being so empty I was surprised I was not offered an upgrade as it is to be offered if available through the program.

I would rather they just charge a few bucks more and not do the side-order shakedown for water and internet.

Now, that is what I call a "take charge" attitude from the front desk staff.

When with a group of people (4), I was told that they couldn't split the check more than two ways, and when they did, they charged me a mandatory 20% gratuity. WTF.

Tripadvisor fixed the error and we were reimbursed our double billing.

I brought it to the attention of front desk staff and they assured me that the right card would be the only card charged.

however is the $1000 charge taken from our credit card and so far not reimbursed.

He volunteered to help me with my vehicle after I was are parked in the garage,  I had left my business cards in my truck,  he went retrieve them and gave them to me in minutes.

The bartender FRANK was very friendly and had a great personality.
