Actually had housekeeping knock on the door Thanksgiving day!

Small convenience store next door for snacks and beer.

The clerk was kind of rude and made my wife who was driving pull all the way up to the front of the doors so they could see in the car.

Overrun with prostitutes and homeless, what appeared to be sex stains on chairs and bedsheets, bugs in the bathroom, door locks broken, staff didn't care at all- said there's nothing they can do about it.

The elevators were a bit scary and several things in our room were broken..bathroom door handle, noisy fridge.

It's next door to an adult theater if you happen to be into that..

Hopefully once the abandoned hotel next door gets a remodel, the area will improve.

As I lay awake not sure how to feel, a person checked into the room next to me, and started pulling, pushing, and undoing the lock to open the adjoining door!!!!

Loud people next door barley got any sleep.

Our room was noisy at night, due to hallway noise and a large gap under our door.

The juice isn’t pure juice 
The rooms are dark and musty 
No netting over the window for privacy if you have your curtains open 
Our last night there we had a guest next door who decided to have his tv on so load all night we had to be moved to another room so we could sleep which was very inconvenient

Only issue is hearing all the noise in the outside of the door from other boarders.

There was twice that I was standing outside against the railing and the door was open.

Very happy with our accommodations until the last day when the guest next door decided to smoke in their nonsmoking room which allowed some smoke to filter into our room through the adjoining suite door.

though the cashier at the "grocery" next door sat behind a protective glass case.

The pic that travel advisor has up is of an abandoned hotel next door and is not at all like this charming hotel!

The only thing we would like to see is get rid of the building next door.

I have had to mark the hotel down unfortunately due to the housekeeping staff in the mornings of our stay we were woken at 9am-10am with banging on the door then on our last morning tried to come in whilst we were in bed normally this wouldn't be a problem at those times

This motel is located in a very shady area of NOLA: prostitution and crime are normal - FYI.

Yes… the place could probably use some renovations and the neighborhood seemed a little sketchy,

An economical place to stay, not the best neighborhood

It was unsafe, extremely unsanitary and should be shut down.

As part of a 3-week road trip in the South of the United States, we will detail you point by point why this hotel was the worst of our stay:
* Detestable welcome upon our arrival
* Hotel very far from the center of New Orleans (1h by bus or 30 min by Uber)
* Badly frequented neighborhood (prostitutes, dealers,.  )

The location is scary, with what looked to be prostitutes hanging around outside and just other undesirable looking people.

The property itself was unsafe, Parking a joke.

but the surroundings was a little sketchy.

When you first pull in to the drive, it looks like it's in a shady part of town,

Walls are pretty thin and we heard the neighbours arguing at 11.30pm.

It was in a very sketchy part of town and felt unsafe and was nasty.

Has a pool, big clean rooms and a fitness center

Our room was clean and spacious - as represented in the photos.

Room was clean fridge and microwave  worked.

My overall stay was good, clean rooms and nice staff just hate that covid restrictions kept kids from swimming in pool, the bag breakfast, and that there were prostitutes so close to hotel.

The hotel is currently working on upgrades and we were pleasantly surprised that not only did we have the same GREAT staff, clean room, and good location

The facility in general was clean as was the room I stayed in.

Miss Cathy was awesome in making sure our room is clean everyday.

Definitely not a place to bring your kids there was hookers in the parking lot and the internet didn’t work and the rooms smelled like cigarettes and feet  the service was good

There was a strong cleaning scent in the room probably to mask the stale cigarette smell in the hallways.

however there was a smell of smoke in a burnt hole in the comforter from cigarettes.

I will admit hotel has a smell from being an older building in a humid climate.

Room was dated and had no windows and a damp musty smell.

When we got up to our room I went to use the bathroom and thankfully one of my younger kids didn't go first as it was a whole dirty BUTT print on the toilet.

The room had an old musty smell as you walked in.

When I walked out of the elevator and onto my room floor everything smelled like fresh cleaning products.

Mold stains in the washer and dryer room.

Our original room on the 2nd floor had a very foul smelling carpet.

Terrible neighborhood, filthy pool area and the breakfast was a joke!

We booked the hotel through our credit card and check in was a piece of cake.

The card i planned to use was on the list

Still waiting on overcharge reimbursements.

When I changed the room to a suite just before arrival, I was hit with a pretty big up charge -  considerably more than I originally could have booked both suites for.

The next day we were charged for not showing up.

And now i see were they are charging my card an extra 50 dollars.

but my card is in the negative from this hotel.

I paid with a credit card and have the confirmation.

They charge a $50 book fee that is not mentioned at all.

My only issue was a scam artist calling at 4am trying to get my credit card information along with everyone else in the hotel.

We were charged extra for the two way shuttle service,

Accounting has messed my account by charging it 3 times The manager was super rude about my money & now I have to wait 7 to 10 days for them to put them back

CDN charge to our credit card from the motel.

I did not appreciate not getting a receipt after paying cash and then getting home only to find out that I was charged for the room twice plus $100.00 extra for deposit.

Then front desk charged I’d an additional $50.00 a night because we feared for our safety and wanted a inside the building room.

They "found" a room for me and tried to charge me again and more than what I paid on PL.

I had to use a debit card because my card was frozen.

And for a little lagniappe, had cookies made and wrapped at front desk and if you put your business card in the bowl, they will have a luggage tag made for you by morning!!

Have stayed in this area in the past when visiting the French Quarter to avoid the high overnight parking charges the French Quarter hotels charge.

The hotel has excellent security, clean rooms and a wonderful Breakfast Buffet with great selections.

I always stay at this hotel and experience a clean room and safe environment.

The hotel is well-kept and our room [#359] was clean, except for a sizable red wine [?]

Room is clean and tolerable. Everything about this hotel seems to be "high security."

On one day during our stay, they didn’t clean our room and we had to complain to get it done.

but fridge in room had old food left in it rest of room was clean.

The carpets in the hallways need to be replaced it has a smelly urine smell that cannot be ignored.

The room smelled awful like it was outdated and tainted with body odor, bed comforter and sheets had stained YELLOW spots, staff at the front desk wasn’t very friendly,  and it’s way overpriced for this area.

But when we got to the room we noticed a smell that someone seemed to try and cover up with a perfume smell.

The rooms are small and have dirty carpet, cigarette holds in the sheets, air conditioning barely kept room cool we kept it on 60 for the 3 days we were there husband finally decided to clean the inside filter and when he pulled it out it was black, after washing it out in the shower the a/c worked better.

My room smelled musty and was not properly cleaned.

There were a group of men smoking marijuana at the back gate when we came in.

Tried to mask odor with loud air fresheners.

You must walk through the designated smoking area when parking in the back lot, not pleasant at all since people are smoking there day and night.

but its' close to the airport and to the french quarter (~17min)

Cons: Room had a strong odor, smelled like it hasn't been ventilated for a long time.

I ended up having to use my own Clorox clean-up.

The room had a light odor like it was musty or mildew.

One of the courtyard elevators was frequently out of service and the pool area is in desperate need of power washing — our feet were filthy after walking 10ft from the pool to the lounger.

The room was clean, bed/pillows comfortable, and the A/C and ceiling fan kept the room at a perfect temp.

Clean rooms, and old world character add to the charm.

This disappointed us primarily bc we were there over the holidays and many hotels were beautifully "done up"

We had a standard room which meant the bathroom was quite small and the bed area was not very roomy,

Remember this is an older building and bathroom was small

The closet barely has room for you to hang much of anything and the bathroom is tiny.

although the bathroom was very small,this time.

My only complaints would be the carpet was nasty and the walls were so thin we could hear every word spoken in the connecting rooms.

However a new music venue has opened next door with only a brick wall between a loud band and your bed.

The toilet paper is really far away from the toilet haha, on the wall opposite the toilet in fact.

The only complaints are the walls are kind of thin.

CONS: Walls are a little thin, and doors are a little loud.

(Walls and floors) I also wish the bathroom was alittle bit larger,

but there was mold in the bathroom on walls and ceiling.

The walls are thin and we did hear our neighbors on occasion.

The walls are thin so a couple nights some of the loud guests woke me up.

Our room was very outdated, the carpets were really dirty, the room smelled moldy, the wallpaper was ripped and peeling on some of the walls, the window was broken (panes of glass cracked), there was plaster crumbling on the ceiling and there was hair in our bathroom upon arrival.

The walls are paper thin, and amenities are sparse.

foul language and it sounded like things were being thrown at the walls.

It’s an older hotel so the walls are thicker, so it’s very quiet and you can get a good nights sleep.

The rooms are dated - carpet wear and tear, fingerprints on exterior doors, some mildew on the wall around the window.

By having the bedroom at the back and solid brick walls, we didn't hear any of the very loud music from less than a street away.

The hallways could probably use some refurbishing as the walls are pretty beat up from the maid's carts.

There looked to be food of some sort splattered on the walls.

Security:  We liked that you have to use your key card to access the elevator, your floor and the hotel after hours.

but 3 alcoholic drinks a t no charge every evening.

Need your key card to access the elevators for added security.

even though the card reader said “approved” on my end.

In order to eat in the dining room, masks needed to be worn, and a card showing vaccinations or a negative test needed to be shown.

Lady in the lobby bar wanted to charge me with the tip without Asking. .

Parking is $25 plus tax, which compares well with other downtown hotels that charge $10-$15 more, and is under cover and secure.

Must have your room card everywhere you go.

Garage was lifted without asking for any I.D., room card or name.

There was an issue with the key card not working in one of the elevators

After checkin you get a card that shows 8 you free food and 3 alcoholic beverages a day.

So I will be seeking those charges to be dropped .

Second was when I got home I was charged for valet parking every night

I was charged for parking for when my car broke down and i called them and they apologized and quickly reversed the charges.

2 days for 500 dollars Charged me 30 each day to park each time I parked.

The breakfast would be better if they used real eggs, people are being charged $100+ for rooms per night cooking real eggs should not be a problem.

To add insult to injury, it appears my credit card was charged about a hundred dollars more than the amount on the receipt I received when I checked out.

( that was a Sunday) Monday went and still no funds-Tuesday came and still no funds.

No you don't charge me for anything that's already paid for.

The room was very clean and it was quiet.

The hotel and rooms are clean throughout.

The immaculate room we had was spacious, except a little bit tight between the end of the king-sized bed and the chest of drawers.

We stayed here twice in a 9 day period while taking a cruise.Food was great rooms were clean and special shout out for Star at the front desk.Very helpful ,friendly and accommodating!We were able to check in early and they also stored our luggage for us.On the border line bet the French Quarter and business district made it a perfect location too!

2 Room suite worth the additional, room was clean and well appointed.

The shower room needed serious cleaning, dirty and mold.

The lack of air flow in the room caused it to smell a bit like mildew.

We have allergies and the least bit or cleaner or other smells sets it off.

When we checked in we noticed there was a lot of dirt and nature debris in our room, between the two beds.

The woman I spoke with was extremely rude and apparently business musty be doing well since she didn't care about our business.

NOLA was the last stop on our Smoky Mountains/Nashville/Memphis road trip.
