Our breakfasts were very tasty, and the carousel bar is well worth a visit if you can find a seat.

The lobby always seems busy as does the Carousel Bar.

We stopped in at the Carousel bar and of course that place was busy, my friends and i grabbed a cute little table to grab a few drinks.

The carousel bar looks cool, unlikely you will be able to sit there.

He was also our tour guide if you will at the iberville tower cocktail experience at the carousel bar (lauren was our bartender, and just another testament to the service of the hotel!).

but, sitting in the Carousel Bar, each with a with a Vieux Carre in our hand, will remain right up there with the best of them) where we stayed until Sunday!

There is an excellent restaurant and bar in the hotel.

This spot is a well-kept secret--just happened to stumble upon both the pool and the poolside bar while going to an event during our stay.

I did it this time mainly for the one thing listed as “early admission to the Carousel Bar”.

We decided to skip the madness of Bourbon Street on a Saturday night and instead enjoyed an excellent jazz band in the hotel's famous carousel bar.

Service was great, the pillows really fluffy and a great bar.

but there is another bar right behind it and the bartender was amazing.

With family in New Orleans, I have visited the historic French Quarter hotel since the 1990s.

This is an iconic, beautiful, classic New Orleans hotel that is well worth visiting!

The restaurant is really classy, with great prices for just good food.

Given the choice, I would always opt for a historic hotel like this over a brand new high-rise, as it offers a unique and memorable experience.

It is also a great location - in the French quarter a stone's throw from Bourbon street (though the hotel's sedate location in Royal St with its galleries and antiques shops in stark contrast to the rowdiness of Bourbon), Jackson Sq and Canal Street (where you easily catch the streetcar to The Garden District).

This is a wonderful location right in the center of the French Quarter.

It is a perfect location for exploring the many delights of New Orleans.

The location being a street behind Bourbon Street is nice because it is a much quieter street yet still in the middle of the action.

The hotel is well located in the French Quarter so it’s easy to get to Bourbon Street, Royal Street, the CBD, Jackson Square, Frenchman St, the French Market and the river side.

The Criollo restaurant's staff is top notch and they are very nice.

Gwendolyn, in the restaurant took special care of us, helping us select the best dishes (and they are ALL delicious-do not miss it) and the pool bartender overheard me saying my phone needed to charge.

Food is excellent, very clean and extremely hospitable environment.

Food in the Criolle Restaurant was first class, as was the music during brunch.

Criollo has the best brunch in the quarter!

We came for breakfast at Griollo restaurant - the eggs Benedict and Belgian waffle were delicious.

While the food was really quite delicious for room service, it took way longer than was appropriate both times that we ordered.

Restaurant Criollo continues to excel in excellent breakfast/brunch options.

On the night of our Welcome dinner, we had a waiter named Michael, who was outstanding.

Even the food at our conference meals was superb.

The pool was my favourite part, it was the perfect way to cool down before dinner.

Our banquet staff (Dennis, Hector, Cynthia, Dwain, Dwayne, Reginald, and Jonathan) for all of our meals and reception, were attentive, kind, and didn't miss a beat.

My company hosted an event of medical professionals and everything from the hotel cleanliness, to meeting event space and staff, to food, was excellent.

Rooftop pool provided a nice retreat in the afternoons.

The roof top pool is  a nice feature when clean.

We spent a lot of time at the rooftop pool, primarily because we had such great service from these fine gentleman.

One afternoon I went up to the rooftop pool bar for a drink and to enjoy the view.

Everyone from Mr. Nolan at check-in to our couple’s massage with Bridget (and her partner) in Spa Aria complete with champagne & our rendezvous on the gorgeous roof top pool tended by Earl & delicious pineapple drink at the poolside Acqua Bella bar…it was perfect!

Royal street by comparison is really classy, antique shops rather than third-world bars.

The hotel dates back to 1886 when a Sicilian cobbler, Antonio Monteleone, decided to follow a new line of business and bought a small hotel on Royal Street.

This is a lovely Hotel, set on the quieter side of Royal Street.

The historic hotel is perfectly situated on Royal Street, the most beautiful street in the FQ .

The hotel enjoyes a superb location on Royal Street.

Royal street has all of the restaurants so my friends and I walked Everywhere (bachelorette party).

Our room overlooked Royal street and until midnight (the one night that we took it easy) the noise from outside was very obvious and it kicked off again around 6am when traffic noise came into the room.

We were astonished when we had maid service every day in the room.

Kathy and Hector were so friendly and welcoming, their service was great.

You will get nice service and if you stay in the Iberville Towers which have been renovated it is quite nice.

Their service made for a fun afternoon of lounging and drinks poolside.

The special room was a little gift for my fiancé, and I really had expected excellent service given the upscale prices.

Based on my experience, it is evident that the hotel's commitment to guest safety, customer service, and overall satisfaction is severely lacking.

The employees make the difference at Hotel Monteleone: they provide superior service from arrival to front to departure and in between.

Nightly turn down service was a pleasant surprise.

As others have said, bathrooms are small and there is very limited counter space.

The traditional rooms are tiny and they're not all created equal.

The room was small and we couldn't walk past the bed at the same time because there was barely enough space for one person to walk.

Unfortunately the rooms are very small, to the point there was no room in the bathroom to place a toiletry kit.

I was disappointed for the small room they gave me, with two beds shorter than a queen bed (room too small for a queen..) and the ventilation pointing directly to the beds, thus disturbing my sleep.

Had an up-graded room which was very small and did wonder what the non-upgraded room would have been like!

They were kind and helpful- like family should be.

Our room was clean and comfortable, and the only small issue we had was dealt with by Hskp Gudiel expertly and with a smiling face.

The staff is all friendly, especially the doormen.

Staff checking me/guest in were less than helpful especially as my reservation was allegedly supposed to have a view and our view was of trash cans/alley.

We really enjoyed it, the rooms were very nice and the Staff is top notch, very helpful and professional.

He was SO knowledgeable and attentive and friendly.

He is always there to greet us every year, remembers our name and genuinely cares that our needs are taken care of.

The hotel is operated by a wonderful staff who is welcoming and always helpful.

The staff is incredibly friendly and rightfully proud of their hotel.

Staff was 100 percent first class and the room, with a river view, was excellent, if just a hair small.

All staff were professional and friendly.

The Bourbon O bar has a great relaxed vibe and delicious cocktails for winding down the night (or just getting started) with live musicians.

The pool looked very inviting last night and the jazz coming from Bourbon O sounded great too.

Bourbon O Bar is a great place to relax and listen to jazz.

On a better note,
the lobby was gorgeous, and the Bourbon O Bar has become my favorite upscale bar in NOLA.

Your local hotel bar (Bourbon O) will have the freshest drinks and the best jazz!

Bourbon O Bar is get for a drink at the beginning and end of night with great signature drinks.

I think my favorite part of the hotel was the Bourbon O bar downstairs.

Excellent location and thoroughly enjoyable the jazz in the bourbon o bar was good, room was great and service impeccable.

Bourbon O bar was SO fun, they had an amazing jazz band playing.

we felt very comfortable having an after-dinner drink at the Bourbon O Bar complete with great entertainment and a short elevator ride to our rooms!

The Bourbon O Bar is a must stop for local cocktail and live Jazz.

Bourbon O bar, on the premises wonderful staff great cocktails, well designed well decorated (Halloween in full swing) Andrew one of the bar staff is informative, very personable and a magician of a bar man.

Bourbon O Bar was a perfect spot to end the night with good drinks and an excellent jazz quartet.

There is also a great bar, The Bourbon O, on the first floor of the hotel.

The staff at The Roux on Orleans, The Bourbon O and The Pelican (all part of the hotel) are outstanding no matter how busy they were.

The hotel also has its own bar, The Bourbon O Bar, with live jazz every night.

The pool is a nice respite from the heat and the Bourbon O bar has great live jazz.

And Dominique the security guard at the Bourbon O bar who was our personal tour guide.

Rooms are nice and well equipped, pool area was clean and the Bourbon O was a nice place to have a drink and listen to some great music and chat.

It is a few steps away from great restaurants, galleries, antique stores, you name it, It is is close by.

The hotel was cozy, smelled lovely, and had a historic touch.

Despite all of the above, the room was quiet, spacious and clean.

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and you cannot beat the location, situated behind the Cathedral and between Royal and Bourbon.
