The courtyard is very nice, outdoor pool, basketball court and lots of sitting areas.

The hotel is quite large and features a great courtyard area with tables, chairs, outdoor pool, along with a dual purpose tennis/basketball court.

We arrived on a Sunday, during a very busy evening (basketball tournament starting a couple of blocks away at the convention center).

It features a large pool and a tennis/basketball court that is great for relaxing.

Hotel grounds: The hotel has a nice size pool, basketball court, and courtyard area with tables and chairs.

The Residence Inn has a very nice central courtyard with seating, recreation (basketball, mini-tennis) and pool, and nightly get-togethers (free beer and wine and food) for guests.

They have washers/dryers, 24 hour access gym, a courtyard with basketball, volleyball, & tennis (all of which they provide balls/equipment for).

It is perfect for families as it has a backyard with a tennis and basketball court, outdoor swimming pool, plenty of seating, and nice background music.

It’s family friendly with a nice basketball court, and pool.

The wing in which we stayed is detached from the lobby, so you had to walk through an open air courtyard with the pool and tennis/basketball court.

There was a grill in the courtyard as well as a basketball court and a tennis court.

The staff was very busy - there was a girls basketball tournament in town and they were swamped at check-in.

But the "piece de resistance" was the breakfast fiasco.

I loved the convenience of breakfast and coffee daily!

The breakfast room was very clean and lots of good breakfast selections.

This hotel was reasonably good value for New Orleans, particularly as there was breakfast included.

The breakfast was delicious and served by very friendly staff.

Breakfast staff were super nice and went out of their way to hold an Easter Egg Hunt for each and every family with kids that came by Sunday morning.

However, this is one of the few that I actually got eggs and enjoyed them!

Breakfast was ok, nothing terrible or great.

I chose this hotel for its rates, close proximity to my work site (7-10-minute walk), free breakfast, laundry facilities and kitchenet.

The included breakfast was the best we've experienced with an included hotel breakfast.

Im shocked that the hotel can continue to serve their breakfast with people coming.

Enjoyed our first breakfast at Sonesta NOLA.

Greta served breakfast with a big smile, Wendy & all the housekeeping staff did an excellent job, and the front desk staff- Sarah, Veronica, Angelina and everyone else whose names I don’t remember were always friendly & acted happy to see me.

Greta asked if they liked muffins, and of course they do, and made sure I had couple.

Breakfast was forgettable--worse than standard hotel free breakfast.

Duane at breakfast was kind, nice and always had a smile on his face.

The front desk staff, the cleaning staff and the breakfast workers were all friendly and helpful.

Additional plus is the contextual breakfast and the great workers there.

The breakfast had a lot of choices and everything was hot and fresh; our breakfast staff was the best-Duane, Greta, and Sarah.

Shout out to the breakfast staff of Ms. Yolanda, and Ms. Greta.

The entire team at the breakfast serving is awesome,

but what stands out was Duane's friendly and efficient service during breakfast, ensuring buffet trays are replenished, used plates are put away.

Carpet was pretty worn and could use replacing.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff, dirty hotel dirty rooms old dirty carpet.

There are stains everywhere--on the carpet, on the towels, in the tub, you name it.

The room was sad and dingy, smelled like cigarettes despite a non- smoking policy and the carpet was worn and dirty.

The carpets themselves look 20 years old, all bunched and ripples and stained.

Couldn’t take the elevators either because they were blocked off due to where the carpet was being replaced.

But the bad, unfortunately, really outweighs any good here:
- The rooms are just really tired and run down: stained, cracked and damaged walls, dirty carpets, unkempt common areas - the list goes on.

Next you see OLD carpet, broken furniture, burned out sockets, and broken windows!!!!

While settling in, we noticed a unplesant smell and that the carpet in the room was very wet.

The place had black mold in the AC vents, carpets were old and stained and the furniture was chipped and old.

One, the carpet in the hall was extremely dirty.

but is definitely in need of a refurbishment—furniture and carpet was very worn throughout.

The hallway carpet colors were hideous- why would anyone pick that out?

Old, old furniture and carpet (everything in gold, avocado and rust).

Again, like the hallway, the carpets were stained, walls dinged up.

The carpet in our room was dirty - my husband was walking in the room in his bare feet and they got very dirty!

but the only complaint that I have is that some of the furniture was a bit worn and tired (ie frayed carpet, scratched nightstands etc).

Additionally there was dog hair everywhere and the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a VERY long time.

When or if they redecorate the should remove the carpet since the building are so open.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and that whole section of the hotel is outdated, nasty, musty and covered in carpet stains.

I really like the warehouse/ arts district better anyway.

It's in the middle of the warehouse district, which is walking distance to the Convention Center, uptown, and downtown.

Wonderful location in the Warehouse District, with easy access to everywhere you want to go in NOLA.

Additionally, this hotel location is in the superb NOLA location, right in the warehouse district.

I went to New Orleans for the first and was blessed to stay in the Warehouse District, close to World War II museum.

Great property in the warehouse district.

but in what appears to be a growing arts district surrounded by really good bars and restaurants.

The warehouse district feels safe and has numerous restaurants in walking distance.

Located in the Warehouse District close to the French Quarter.

Located in the Warehouse District the Residence Inn offers a great alternative to those hotels closer to the French Quarter, yet within easy walking distance to get to the heart of many of those attractions.

Located in Warehouse District about a 15 minute walk to French Quarters.

Pros: 
Location, location, location: conveniently located in the cool Warehouse district, 20-25min walk from both the French Quarter and Garden District.

The Warehouse District is a perfect respite from the hustle of the typical hotspots.

This wonderful hotel is perfect, located in the warehouse district with convenient access to the Quarter and streetcars.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn in the warehouse district.

The surrounding Warehouse district has some nearby excellent food options like Peche/Cochon/emerils

but still a nice area of Warehouse District.

The hotel is in the Warehouse District so the area looks, well, industrial

Located in the Warehouse District, this place was a great find.

And its in the Warehouse/Arts district which seems pretty safe and clean and away from the FQ.

Needless to say, my experience at Hotel Sonesta ES was a symphony of disappointment, with a cacophony of cleanliness issues, parking fees, and a breakfast reminiscent of a deserted culinary landscape.

Valet parking like four seasons, very expensive.

There is no onsite parking, and the valet is almost $40 a night.

I do have to say the only thing I did not like was that the valet parking lot can be accessed by ANYBODY as I was able to walk into the lot twice without question to get into my vehicle.

At this point I’m fuming(it’s the peak of summer and this part of the hotel is open concept so it’s basically outside and we are carrying all of our luggage for a 7 day cruise because we couldn’t trust to leave it in the AWFUL lot they called “secure parking”)!!

It’s a good value for the money except for parking, which is very expensive at $40/day.

The parking fee was kind of expensive considering how expensive it is to park at any parking lot in the area the fees really began to add up.

Parking, handled by an independent company was the only disappointment as they charged $8 more per day than the company next door charged.

I believe his name was Don H. 
The only negative I have about the hotel was no free parking.

Be aware if your renting a car, its $39 a day to valet and there are no other parking options.

Valet parking was about $38 per day - normal for NOLA.

Expensive parking: parking is not free and was more than 35$ a night (though this may be lower during other times of the year).

You must use valet parking or you are at your own peril somewhere in a neighboring street.

The view was of an alley and parking lot.

Oh and overall anybody could smoke marihuana in hotel premises it was just horrible

Our room as borderline scary with chipping paint, stained comforters, smelly rugs and just downright run down.

The bathroom had a musty smell and there was mold on the inside of the shower.

My only wish is that the entire grounds would be non smoking.

There was an open half eaten yogurt container on top of the fridge, a glass had lipstick stains on it (all of the glasses were dirty and had to be washed) and there was debris on the floor that makes me believe the room wasn’t vacuumed.

Paint fumes/dust/construction debris was all over the place.

I understand there was a horrible smell in their room upon walking in.

When it was finally ready (over two hours later) the room smelled like sulfur at the entrance.

but Toi went above and beyond when he heard that I’d been having an issue with the drain in my washroom.

Two, the windows in the room were filthy and so were the curtains, shower curtains, and vent in the kitchen.

Our 2 bedroom/2 bath suite had air conditioning problems, paint peeling, curtains were torn, a/c vents a returns were covered in black mold & dust.

It was the third room we were in because the first two were not cleaned: beds unmade, food in the refrigerator and scattered around and filthy.

The room was musty the first day and could use some updating,

The bed was awesome, the pillows -  awesome, the breakfast - awesome, the staff - awesome .

The food is tasty and breakfast and the kickback are included.

Breakfast and Nightly Snacks & Drinks are wonderful!

Free perks like breakfast and a light dinner and drinks from 5:30-7:00 were great to help out with expenses.

I finally used the pillows to pad the frame of the roll away and it was halfway decent.

Our boys loved the breakfast and the late night food menu available at the downstairs bar.

Breakfast is much better than average.

They had a grand time in the pool, with light dinner and breakfast and sleeping over.

As in all Drury hotels, this one also had a small breakfast buffet, not continental and also an afternoon buffet with adult beverages that they call Kickback.

The breakfast bar and kickback dinner at the Drury were amazing.

They have a hot breakfast in the mornings, as well as dinner/snacks from 5:30-7 each evening; they even provide drink coupons for 3 drinks each evening.

The hot breakfast is a nice start to the day.

We loved that they had complimentary breakfast every morning, as well as complimentary light dinner items and adult drinks every evening.

They offer free breakfast every morning (food delicious) & 5:30 Kickback, the pool was very clean, the hotel is safe.

Housekeeping does a terrific job, the breakfast and evening reception food is above average and plentiful.

The free breakfast and afternoon snacks were a wonderful treat.

Breakfast is complimentary starting at 6:00.

Security:  We liked that you have to use your key card to access the elevator, your floor and the hotel after hours.

but 3 alcoholic drinks a t no charge every evening.

Need your key card to access the elevators for added security.

even though the card reader said “approved” on my end.

In order to eat in the dining room, masks needed to be worn, and a card showing vaccinations or a negative test needed to be shown.

Lady in the lobby bar wanted to charge me with the tip without Asking. .

Parking is $25 plus tax, which compares well with other downtown hotels that charge $10-$15 more, and is under cover and secure.

Must have your room card everywhere you go.

Garage was lifted without asking for any I.D., room card or name.

There was an issue with the key card not working in one of the elevators

After checkin you get a card that shows 8 you free food and 3 alcoholic beverages a day.

So I will be seeking those charges to be dropped .

Second was when I got home I was charged for valet parking every night

I was charged for parking for when my car broke down and i called them and they apologized and quickly reversed the charges.

2 days for 500 dollars Charged me 30 each day to park each time I parked.

The breakfast would be better if they used real eggs, people are being charged $100+ for rooms per night cooking real eggs should not be a problem.

To add insult to injury, it appears my credit card was charged about a hundred dollars more than the amount on the receipt I received when I checked out.

( that was a Sunday) Monday went and still no funds-Tuesday came and still no funds.

No you don't charge me for anything that's already paid for.

Food & drinks:  You are close to a lot of restaurants and bars.

Breakfast was hot, fast, and filling; 3 afternoon drinks and food each evening was wonderful.

They even offer three alcoholic drinks per room per night from a stocked bar.

Great location, parking was reasonable in price, breakfast included was great, we missed evening food and drinks

Salad bar and popcorn also offered, plus 3 free alcoholic drinks for the adults) definitely allowed us to spend less on food.

The hotel has a great hot buffet breakfast and the 5:30 to 7 pm kick back dinners were excellent. Meals included 3 free alcoholic drinks each night and unlimited non alcoholic drinks The evening meal options varied (baked or mashed potatoes, BBQ chicken, meatballs, etc.)

The evening drinks and food was a really nice surprise although we were in New Orleans for the food

Good to know:
-Breakfast and evening happy hour food and drink selection is great.

Food was very good and service superb including the 5pm evening food and drink buffet.

even though we didn’t actually eat or drink anything at the hotel.

Clean, comfortable room, excellent AM breakfast, drinks, and "kickback" food from 5:30 -7 (all food and drinks included per Drury's famous amenities), close to New Orleans attractions with streetcars and buses nearby (you can also easily walk to many of them), and over -the -top excellent, friendly customer service. special shout out to General Manager Patrick for his warm welcome and easy (often humorous!)

We used the pool each afternoon after a day of exploring and then enjoyed complimentary evening food and drinks.

The complimentary breakfast was a good start to the day and the reception in the evening provided more than just snacks.

Wonderful hotel with the usual great service (friendly manager) and amenities of Drury chain including the complimentary breakfast and Kickback (happy hour with food & 3 complimentary drinks per night).

The complimentary breakfast was vast, and the hours were user friendly (open until 10 AM on weekends)  There is also a complimentary "night snack",

Had a good breakfast buffet included and evening dinner if you want to save some money.

but having free breakfast AND  free drinks/dinner nightly took the cake.

Offering free breakfast buffet (pancakes, sausage, grits, eggs, oatmeal, bagels, cereal, yogurt, juice, muffins, danishes, breakfast potatoes) and dinner (hot dogs and nachos were always available.

We were surprised by the free drinks and "dinner" both nights - plus free breakfast.

Free breakfast each morning, free dinner and 3 free drinks each evening from 5:30-7-30 Happy hour was a great treat.

The free breakfast buffet, which we visited a couple times, was very good.

The complimentary breakfast had more than enough selections to please everyone.

We enjoyed the included breakfast and evening kick backs very much -- not fancy

great place will choose drury from now on due to exceptional breakfast free dinner and cocktails .

I always try to stay at a Drury   because of the great breakfast and and free drinks at the end of the day.

The free breakfast and happy hour are great.

Free drinks and snacks around 5, which was awesome, kept the kids full till late and enjoyed some great drinks!

The kick back they do and free drinks is a great touch.

The pool and hot tub looked wonderful though we never got to them and I appreciated the free drink card and food during kickback,

We stayed her 5 girls for 5 days.The two room queen suite worked great for us.The breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day before we headed out.The snack  and free drinks at 5:30 were nice ,we only came back a couple of times for that.
